I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the Main OC and any other OC's that will appear in the story. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.

Chapter Twenty-One

After having winding down and looking through Eda's permanent record, Danielle is searching the house for Aster. Not even in her room was Aster there. Danielle searched everywhere she could think of where Aster could be.

"Hey, Hooty," said Danielle, lightly knocking on the front door. "Have you seen Aster?"

"On the roof," replied Hooty, opening the front door and staring at Danielle.

"Why would he be up there?" asked Danielle, staring up at the roof.

Conjuring her wings, Danielle flies up to the roof. Spotting Aster, Danielle lands next to him.

"Hey Aster," said Danielle, bending down. "Everything okay?"

"No," replied Aster, staring up at the stars and moon.

"Want to talk about it?" asked Danielle, sitting down and petting Aster.

"I don't get it," said Aster, thinking about today's events. "Gus lied! And then he… apologized."

"Yeah," said Danielle, sighing. "I'm disappointed and upset with Gus as well."

"Lying is bad," said Aster, swishing his tail about.

"It depends on the lie," said Danielle, confusing Aster. "Some lies are good, some are bad."

"How are some lies good?" asked Aster, staring at Danielle.

"Take for example a surprise party," replied Danielle, staring at Aster. "The person it's being held for doesn't know about it and the people who are arranging it tell lies or distract them to keep them from finding out. By the time someone takes the blindfold off when they get to the party, that person is surprised and kinda happy. Does that help?"

"Not really," replied Aster, tilting his head in confusion.

"Okay… um…" said Danielle, thinking of another example.

"Have you ever lied?" asked Aster, looking at Danielle.

"Yeah," replied Danielle, startling Aster. "I still remember the wallop to my behind Mamma gave me for my first cuss word."

"Why'd you do it?" asked Aster, staring at Danielle.

"I got scared when I cussed and Mamma heard me," replied Danielle, laying down on the roof. "Granted, I was younger than you. By mortal years, that is. I don't really lie a lot."

"Oh," said Aster, sighing.

"Lying is a part of life, I guess," said Danielle, stroking Aster's cheek. "You just got to figure out for yourself, which lies are good and which aren't. Lies that hurt someone, to me, are bad."

"Hey Danielle," said Aster, Danielle looking at him. "Will you ever lie to me?"

"I hope I wouldn't," replied Danielle, scratching underneath Aster's chin.

"I also didn't like how Luz and Gus forgot about you," said Aster, staring at Danielle. "You were having an episode when those…"

"It's not the first time something like that happened," said Danielle, deeply sighing. "Being forgotten that is."

"Huh…" said Aster, confused.

"It doesn't really happen with my family," said Danielle, remembering her childhood. "But when it comes to school, to others it was like I was invisible, easily forgettable. And for a select few that did see me, I was bullied. A lot that is."

"Danielle," said Aster, only for Hooty to interrupt.

"Hooty calling," said Hooty, eye level and startling the two. "Time for bed."

"Aah! Whoa…" said Danielle, startled and falling off the roof before her wings came out. "I'm good. My wings came out."

"Hooty," said Aster, staring at Hooty before flying down to Danielle. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Besides being startled, I'm good" replied Danielle, flapping her wings. "You've been enjoying those video games?"

"Oh yes," replied Aster, before twiddling his paws. "Would you like to trade a pokémon with me?"

"Sì sì," replied Danielle, gasping and going starry eyed.

Ushering Aster to follow her to her room, Danielle searches through her bag. Grabbing her Gameboy color console and grabbing the game link cable, Danielle starts it up.

"You're really excited," said Aster, seeing Danielle giddy with excitement.

"I am," said Danielle, happily smiling. "I've never traded with anyone before. You're the first."

"You never traded," said Aster, staring at Danielle. "Why?"

"I didn't really know anyone who played the games," replied Danielle, sighing. "Plus, school really didn't allow video games in them. I didn't want my game console confiscated."

"Oh," said Aster, before pointing at a certain game. "Crystal, crystal. I'm really liking that one. I even named my character after me."

"Okay…ooh, I think I know some you'll like," said Danielle, turning off the system and placing the correct game in.

"I started with cyndaquil as well," said Aster, wagging his tail. "I really liked its design a lot. Plus, it was shiny when I first started it up. Like yours!"

"That's great," said Danielle, linking the two consoles up.

For the remainder of the evening, Danielle and Aster traded back and forth between their games. Aster really enjoyed the pokémon he got and a mystery egg that was given to him. By the time, it was time to actually sleep, Aster had curled up on the pillow that he claimed on Danielle's bed.

"Hey Danielle," said Aster, staring at Danielle. "I'm going to be staying at my prison for a while."

"Why?" asked Danielle, laying on her side, staring at Aster. "Is everything okay?" "It's not good to stay out of your body for so long," said Aster, rolling onto his side. "That's why I'm going back for a while. You should remember that as well for when you're out of body as well."

"Gotcha," said Danielle, petting Aster's back. "Buona notte e sogni d'oro Aster."

"Buona notte e sogni d'oro," said Aster, yawning and closing his eyes. "Danielle."
