Chapter 996 The test of the saints
I don't own Bleach or any of the powers and gear used in this story.
Draco was watching Kazuo train his Tora Ken to be better, Kazuo swings his nunchuku around fast as he makes many afterimages.
Draco is able to keep up but skill can defeat brute force.
"Raa!" Kazuo jumps around like a tiger to increase his speed.
"It seems he wants this to really work. Well it's the craziest style known." Draco said.
He heard that Aka has found some new recruits for his saints, as he wants to make Athena proud.
"That guy cares about his goddess as any of his girls." Draco said.
With Aka
He was near the entrance of the school and he saw Souichiro with Bob coming foward.
"Hey there." Aka smiles seeing the two. "Glad to see you made it."
"Well I wasn't going to miss this chance." Souichiro smirks.
"I like that spirit." Aka said and he saw Maya and Aya come too. "Oh hey."
"Hello, we came to see where you trained to get this strong, even if you had a big journey the place you first started must have been extreme." Maya said.
"Yeah it was and..." He then saw Masataka come foward. "Who brought this douche with?!"
"What?!" Masataka got surprised.
"I don't know, he just followed us." Aya said.
"Well I asked for Souichiro to come with Bob, you girls are nice enough, but I don't want him to even come near the place." Aka said.
"But..." Masataka wanted to reason with Aka.
"Just let him go, if he tries anything you can beat him up." Maya smiles making him shocked.
Aka looks at her. "Fine, so prepare to see a miracle."
He snaps his fingers as they got teleported to Athena's Sanctuary.
"Whoa how did you do that?!" Souichiro said.
"Is that a ki ability?" Maya asked.
"Not exactly, you see we are in Athena's Sanctuary." Aka said.
"Athena, isn't that a goddess?" Aya thinks about it.
"Yes in fact..." Aka kneels at Athena comes out of her temple and looks at them.
"Wait... Athena is real." Bob said with them stunned.
"Yes, I am Athena, your in my Sanctuary where the saints use." She said.
"Saints?" Souichiro said.
"Yes, we are her protectors and warriors and Souichiro I think you and Bob can be good members, despite the original saints being pacifists time has changed, now we pick those that are worthy." Aka said.
"Well okay, I just want to have a match with you later on." Souichiro said.
"You might be brutish but your at least honest." Athena said.
She looks up and saw one of the boxes. "You might be the Heracles Saint."
"Wait isn't that your brother?" Maya said.
"Yes Heracles is my brother as I made that cloth based on him." Athena said.
"So will be training here?" Bob asked.
"Yes, you two were chosen by Aka, your friends would have to be seen." Athena said.
"Wow, I want to see how you guys fight." Aya said. "It can be amazing."
They saw two people training and it's Kisara and Ranma.
The two were trading blows going back and forth and Souichiro said: "Are these guys part of your group?"
"Yes they are, Ranma the Phoenix Saint and Kisara the Ophiuchus Saint." Aka said.
They saw Ranma change into his cloth with Kisara doing the same becoming her gold cloth.
"Wow, so that's what these things look like." Souichiro said.
"Yes, to explain the rankings, bronze saints are what Ranma is as they are the ones that are where most start, silver saints are in the middle of power and then theres the gold saints, who are the strongest and have the highest rank, Kisara is one of them." Aka said.
"And you are?" Bob asked about his rank.
Aka smirks and summoned his cloth wearing it. "I'm a gold one, the Leo Saint."
"Oh so that explains a lot why you kicked his ass." Souichiro points at Masataka who frowns. "So what's Heracles rank?"
"Silver." Aka told him.
"So right in the middle for me." Souichiro shrugs.
"But still, a bronze Saint can rival with they're own power." Aka said.
"May I train to become one?" Masataka asked. "I can prove-"
"No way!" Aka said shocking him. "Why would I even let you be part of our group, your just a guest at best, not a new recruit. You might have all the skills in the world... But when you tried to kill a guy because you got jealous, that's it. Your blacklisted from being a Saint."
Masataka got shocked and backs away.
"Wow he didn't even try counter his argument." Ranma saw that with Kisara.
"It seems Aka has made his choice." They saw the Grand Pope come foward making Aka confused since he didn't know about this.
"But I can be a great warrior too." Masataka said. "Let me prove my skills against one of you."
The other gold saints that are the ones Aka found came along with Kiryu and Goro of the silver saints.
"Well let the guy try to see what will happen." Goro said.
"Okay, one fight and we'll see." Aka said.
"Okay." Masataka looks at the gold saints. "Which of you will face me?"
This made them all laugh as he got confused.
"Your not facing us." Noctis said. "But her."
Yuna came down and poses.
"What... But she's younger than me." Masataka said.
"Well... It seems she's still stronger than Masataka." Maya sighs.
"Now I gotta see." Souichiro said.
Yuna gets ready. "Just try and fight me."
Masataka frowns and takes out two sticks from the ground.
"Seriously the chop stick trick." Aka rolls his eyes.
Yuna kicks foward breaking through the sticks hitting Masataka down. "That doesn't work with others stronger than you."
Masataka strikes at her but Yuna dodged with ease dancing around him.
Then she kicks him down again making Masataka grunt.
"Well that's over." Yuna dusted herself off.
Masataka got up and his eyes glow red making them stunned as he charges foward to punch at Yuna who punches his fist breaking his arm.
He snaps out and screams holding his arm in pain.
"That was pathetic." Ricky said.
"He lost control." Kiki said.
"Too bad, you failed the test. If you really want to become a saint, no bloodlust without a cause." Aka glares at him.
"Well let's get going." Aka said.
They bronze saints took the others to train and Aka looks at the Pope. "So who are you?"
He stares at Aka before taking off the helmet revealing that he was Kisuke Urahara. "Hey Aka."
"What?!" Aka got shocked. "Urahara!"
"It seems you got surprised." He smiles.
"How did you... How did this happen?!" Aka said.
"Let's say Athena gave me the chance." He said.
"Okay this is going to be strange." Aka frowns.
Note: Souichiro and Bob's training is going to start with Souichiro being chosen to wield the Heracles Cloth later on.
