Nyssa of Traken is in her office drawing up plans again trying to figure out a way to see Tegan. "Why did she think I was the Mara?" She wonders out loud.

"Ms. Nyssa," a man enters her office.

"What do you want, Olvir?" He has been her right hand man for 40 years. He was also the first to know her heart belonged to someone that she traveled with.

"It has been 25 years since the Lazarus disease was eradicated, why don't you go try and find that Tegan." He doesn't mean it, he wants to make her believe him.

"I have been trying that. We had this connection that even though we have been apart for 40 years, still is strong. I went into her dreams a few nights ago."

"What happened?"

"I'd rather not talk about it." Tegan remembers how the dream kiss felt. It felt better than the ones she had over the years. It is what inspired her to find a way to enter Tegan's dreams. After he leaves the office, Nyssa looks at the picture that they got from their security camera of the last time they saw each other.

"Tegan, I believe that you will find me, but I will keep coming into your dreams until you believe it's me. I will do my best to get back to you too." As Nyssa slips into an uneasy dream at her desk. "Tegan, where are you?" Nyssa tosses and turns in her sleep until she sees her heart's desire.

"Again, please I don't want to see the Mara."

"Tegan, I am not the Mara. I am me. Nyssa of Traken. Would the Mara know about me holding a gun to the Time Lords? Or the fact there were times when you wore your stewardess uniform; I would help you get dressed?"

"Yes, some of my dreams involved you doing the opposite."

"Really?" Tegan adverts her eyes.

"I have had some not so innocent dreams myself."

"I will tell you this, I have figured out a way to visit you in dreams, Tegan Jovanka. The woman I have loved since I was 19. From the moment we met."

"Oh Nyssa, I have loved you that long too. I was just so afraid of it."

"Love?"

"Yes love. There was so much homophobia where I was from. I didn't want anything to happen to you. I lost you anyway."

"You didn't lose me. I am right here in your dreams. I will be with you in my dreams until the day we meet again, and can do this." Nyssa presses her lips against Tegan's in a kiss. "For real."

"And more."

Nyssa laughs, "much much more. You talked the other night about marriages, well I never married. Olvir offered, but I said no; that I didn't look at him that way."

"Please tell me you tried happiness. I wanted you to be happy."

"I was when I cured the reason I was there."

"You deserve to be happy Nyssa. You were always so happy."

"I know that, I have let middle age get to me."

"Well stop it. If this is what you really look like, though even if it's not; you're still breathtakingly beautiful."

"Thank you, you're still gorgeous yourself." Nyssa and Tegan look deeply into each other's eyes.

"I wish I could believe this was you, Nyssa. I just can't after what happened a few months ago."

"When the Mara returned in your dream?" Nyssa runs her hand along Tegan's arm who leans into her touch.

"Correct, the Doctor promised it would never come back, it did. Ace, my best friend, took charge and had Kate Stewart to contact the Doctor. Our Doctor, celery stick and all."

"What did he say about coming and getting me?"

"No, he said you were happy." Tegan looks away.

"What about your happiness?" Nyssa gets up and walks around in the dream. "You are important too. He could've come and asked me." Nyssa is shaken from her dream.

"What did you do that for? I was talking to Tegan. I think I was finally getting through to her. It was me." Nyssa yells at Olvir.

"You seemed agitated in your sleep." Olvir steps back.

"Tegan was telling me she recently saw the Doctor and he refused to come see if I wanted to see Tegan again."

"You mean the woman that has been on your mind nonstop since you cured Lazurus, and the reason you said no to me?"

"Olvir," Nyssa sighs, "you are a great guy, but my heart was taken before you even met me."

"I know. You have told me stories about her every day. I should've known that you didn't like me in that way."

"I'm sorry Olvir."

"It's not your fault and you have always been straight forward that you weren't interested." He sits down. "Do you want me to help you?"

"No thank you, I got it."

"You sure, it seems you spend half the time in your dreams about her."

"I know she is having a bunch of help from those at UNIT which is tasked to deal with aliens, of which I am one. She also mentioned a best friend who is making sure things get done."

"I have been your friend for almost as long as you have been here; I can help."

"I need someone who's best interest isn't in them but it's me getting back to Tegan. The one who has been in my dreams longer than I have been able to visit hers."

"I want you to be happy."

"Thank you. The moment I am with Tegan, I will be."

"Got it, what are Earth coordinates?"

"I don't know. The Doctor had always set them and we also have to make sure you get to July 2023."

"Why that specific time?"

"That's what it's for her."

"Wouldn't you want it to be earlier?"

"I don't want to change a single line of her past."

"Why?"

"Everything that has happened to her has made her into the woman she is today, now please leave me alone. I want to see if she's still asleep." Olvir has plans forming his head.
