"I was having a lovely dream." Tegan groans to her.

"With Nyssa, you said her name a few times." Ace moves to sit next to her friend.

"I." A slightly nervous Tegan adds, not knowing that she talks in her sleep.

"Don't worry, Graham and I already know you dream of her. He told me what he told you last night." Tegan thinks back, she is thankful for the guy's perspective on it being ok to be thinking of ones that you lost.

"Did he go in already?"

"He did, he knew that I would like to talk to you."

"About how I should try and stop dreaming of Nyssa."

"No, not that. I think you should ask her where she's at."

"She has an office that she is in sometimes."

"Like many of us. Anything else?"

"She's close to Olvir."

"Don't worry about that, she has found a way to enter your dreams, she wants you."

"I wasn't worried about that, thank you very much. We were about to kiss."

"Well, let's get to work so you two can kiss in real life and not just in dreams."

"I hope it lives up to my dreams." Ace smiles, "what is that smile about?"

"There is something that I haven't told you. Before Graham and I kissed for the first time."

"How long from the first meeting until the first kiss?"

"2 months, you are getting ahead of it. Before we kissed for the first time, I had regular dreams of what it would be like."

"Was it what you thought it would be?"

"So much more. Saying that I think when it finally happens for you two, it will be the same. Now come on." Ace drags her out of the car and locks it.

Inside UNIT everyone is running around trying to figure things out. "Hi mum," John-Nathan is the first to greet everyone.

"Where are you staying?" Tegan asks her son.

"I'm house sitting for someone."

Tegan turns to Graham, "Ryan?"

"I asked him first of course, and when I gave Ryan a very brief summary of what was going on, he gave his ok."

"Thank you for looking out for my son."

"No need to thank me Tegan, now let's get to work, so you can have your family together."

"But."

"Tegan just drop it," Ace starts to speak, "Graham is a romantic. Even though he hasn't met Nyssa he sees her as your wife."

"But we haven't seen each other in person," Tegan adds quicker since two people in the room know about her dreams. "In 40 years."

"What do you mean in person," asks Jo Jones.

"I have been dreaming of Nyssa, as she would look today."

"Oh Deary," Jo gives Tegan a bone crushing hug.

"Jo, I can't breathe."

"You are going through so much, why didn't you call me."

"Or me mum?"

"I am going to answer my son first, I am your mum. You shouldn't see me like this. You should only be strong."

"Says the woman who held herself together after being cheated on. You have always been the strongest woman I know. Followed by Aunt Ace of course."

"Thanks John-Nathan."

"Also the fact dad jumps from relationship to relationship every few weeks. You, on the other hand, haven't had one since the divorce." He looks at his mum. "Though that could be because you were in love with someone else the whole time."

"Your dear mum was in denial." Ace jokes as Tegan sends her a look.

"Jo," Tegan doesn't address what her best friend just said. "I didn't want anyone to see me like this. It seems my son and best friend had other ideas and I was more or less forced out of my house and onto a plane."

"I had to, there was no way I was going to let you stay at home alone, when you had been avoiding everyone's phone calls."

Kate comes up to everyone, "as much as I hate to say this, not everyone can work on getting Nyssa back. Tegan, Ace, Graham and one more. I just got word that an invasion is imminent of which species we don't know."

"You promised Kate," Ace starts to say. "I wrote emails today telling them that I am going on sabbatical."

Tegan and Graham turn to Ace and in unison, "what?!"

"Don't get too worked up, I told them if something major comes up, to call me."

"Still Ace, that place is a part of you."

"I know that Graham, but I still have a right to take a sabbatical from it, when my best friend needs me." Ace can see the words framing in his brain. "Don't."

"You are taking a break from everything that makes you, you."

"What about you?"

"I still am making sure everyone gets food, you get sleep."

"Don't forget getting up too early in the mornings to make tea and coffee." Tegan adds. "Ace you should still be at least doing one of the things that makes you; you. Don't put your whole life on hold for me. You even put off planning your wedding to the man who makes you the happiest that I have ever seen. Remember that I have seen you these past few mornings, heard the cutesy endearments and saw Graham walking oddly this morning after he went to make sure you were eating something."

"So it sorta worked then."

"Of course it did Ace." Ace smirked at Graham's admission. "Why do you think I pulled you in for another kiss?"

"I am glad that your relationship isn't going on standstill with everything going on. I was worried about that."

"Tegan, I wouldn't allow that."

"Ace, there are things that you have let slip that it seems like it has."

"What?!" Ace looks towards Graham, "do you feel like it has?"

"Only a little bit. Though I would prefer not to have that conversation in front of anyone."

"Do you still want to?"

Graham doesn't let her sentence, "of course I do. I love you and still am falling in love with you more every day. What about you?"

"Of course I want to get married to you. You have been a source of happiness this past year."

"I can atone for that, the amount of times she talked about from the moment you met. How nervous she was for your first official date." Tegan looks at the two and both have hurt in their eyes. "Is this what it's going to be like when I get Nyssa back?"

"You two will have disagreements, all couples do. You should've seen Clif and I when we met."

"I don't want to fight with her."

"Tegan, you have been married twice, you know fighting will be a part of it. What matters is how you react," Ace informs her friend while looking away from her fiancé

"If I'm honest, sorry Johny-Nate, but I didn't care how those were resolved."

"It's ok mum, I understand." He tries not to roll his eyes at the old nickname.

"Tegan, it will be different with Nyssa. You love her, she is a part of your soul, just like Graham is a part of mine."

"I know."
