Tegan is getting up in her blue pajamas as Ace comes slowly into the bedroom. "Good, you're awake."
"What's wrong?" Tegan can tell something is up.
"We had a talk last night. I didn't realize what he was feeling." Ace sits on the bed. "I love that man; you know I do. I just suck at relationships." She now falls down on it.
"Look at your ring," Ace looks up at it as she lifts her hand up. "I know it's coming from me; this doesn't mean as much. That man loves you. If you told him that you were going into an active volcano again, he would follow in a heartbeat."
"Then wanting out in a quick minute."
"And would kiss you right afterwards, what you have to do is carve out some time for him."
"How." Ace knows everything is too busy at that moment. She wants to do more things with Graham.
"I have an idea." Tegan informs her friend with a smile.
"You do?"
"Nyssa helped me with it in my dream last night."
"Well, tell her thank you when you dream of her next. What is the plan?" She sits back up scooting closer to her friend.
"You'll have to wait and see." Tegan walks out as Graham approaches his bedroom door. "She's in my room. Likes to wake me up. You better not make her cry." Tegan looks at him, "again."
"I didn't want to begin with." She can tell Graham is fighting within himself from what he and Ace talked about last night.
"I know. Go in there." Tegan walks down to the kitchen as Graham walks into the bedroom.
"Ace." He sits down next to her and reaches for her hand.
"I am sorry that I suck at this."
"You don't suck. This sometimes happens in relationships, you get comfortable." His thumb starts rubbing her hand.
"It says something about us that you make me so comfortable."
"I know. You know I love you." He leans to brush his lips against hers.
"I do, I love you too." They get up and head down and see Tegan quickly get off the phone.
"I was just talking to my son?" Tegan explains the questioning looks of her two friends.
"Then why were you acting like you're hiding something," Graham asks with one eyebrow raised.
"Does it have anything to do with what you and I talked about this morning?"
"A little bit," Tegan tries to smile at them as Graham looks between the two women. His fiancé's eyes are shining for the first time since she told him yes.
"While the two of you keep your little secret, I am going to start breakfast." Graham gives Ace's hand a squeeze.
"Tegan, can I talk to you for a minute?" Ace nods her head and follows her friend out until they reach a building.
"Are you actually letting me into your sanctuary?"
"Yes and shut it. Graham has been in here many times," her mind goes back to one of the first times he was and turns pink.
"Keep me away from that surface please."
"Don't worry, it has been cleaned and sanitized. It has to be, because of what I make in here. What are you planning for Graham and me?"
"You'll see."
"Tegan, I need to know the dress code."
"Graham won't care what you're wearing. In fact if everything goes to plan by the end of the night, well."
"I do miss doing that with Graham. He has this move."
"Stop it right there, I don't need to know more. What are you planning to do for him?"
"It will happen at lunchtime in front of everyone."
"So nothing racy."
With a laugh, "definitely not. Though it may leave my man a little breathless."
"You go girl. Promise me this, you will focus just as much time on Graham as you do getting Nyssa back."
"I do. Is there anything I can do to convince you to tell me what you have planned?"
"Nope, and don't you even think about asking my son."
"What if Nyssa visits your best friend in her dreams."
"As much as I want for the two of you to meet, I don't see it happening until I see her in person. She is also trying to figure out a way to get here. Someone is interfering with it though."
"Well, it's good she is working on getting away from them. The moment she is here, she will have a family."
"You are going to basically adopt her as a sister aren't you."
"Do you blame me?"
"No, I thank you. Nyssa doesn't have a family. The Master killed the only family she had."
"She found one quickly though. Also found her one true love."
"We found each other and bonded quickly."
"And fell hard for each other."
"Like you and your fiancé."
"Yes, like Graham and I. Speaking about him, I wonder." At that moment there is a sound.
"What is that?"
"Something we added to let me know he is about to come in, so if I can stop adding chemicals together to avoid hurting him. That is when he isn't in here helping me."
"Breakfast is ready you two." Ace walks up to Graham and takes his hand.
"Coming Tegan?"
"I am," Tegan smiles as she watches as Graham tries to twirl Ace around.
"You know I need to make sure it gets locked up."
"That is why I tried to twirl you." Tegan laughs as she moves past them, looking forward to the day her and Nyssa can be like that. Ace moves to lock up her shelter while Graham watches her.
"Enjoying the show?" She adds a swing in her hips as she turns back to face him and grabs his hand.
"Always. You're my favorite show to watch." Ace shakes her head at the comment before the two of them make their way in.
Tegan is sitting down eating and drawing something. "What are you drawing?"
"What Nyssa looks like now." Tegan tucks the paper under her plate.
"What you're not going to show me?"
"Not until it's finished. We should eat before we are late."
