The food was terrible, Ianto shocked into silence as the kids ate without a care in the world and he knew Rhiannon was glaring at him. She mouthed 'you promised to try; and he poked out his tongue. Finally he forced a mouthful and tried don't to grimace. He was not happy at all but knew he was being a whinger.

He excused himself and rose, surmised to find his little limpet did not want to go with him, still happily eating and now pulling his plate over to finish as well.

Rhiannon giggled as she watched her little one eat the food, waving Ianto off. He was left to wander the ship unimpeded. This was his favorite time of day, the evening settling in. Whatever that meant up here in the black. The lighting would dim and simulate nighttime, even little lights in the ceilings for a fake night sky. Ianto hated it all. It was so… fake. Ergh.

Ianto found himself in an unfamiliar part of the vessel and realized he was in the staff quarters. Shit. He turned to leave and found himself face to face with the most handsome man he had ever seen.

"Hello there, are you lost?" the man asked, his accent telling Ianto he was Boeshannian.

"I appear to be" Ianto agreed with a soft smile.

"Oh. Wow. You're… what? Sol 3 but… what?"

"Welsh" Ianto supplied.

"Ah. Right, I now where you are supposed to be. Follow me" he demanded leading the way and Ianto had no choice but to follow him with a soft squeak of alarm. As they walked Ianto calmed down and knew he was being a bit of a dick.

"Sorry. I… I am just a little surprised at the size of this thing. It didn't look this big out the viewing portal, it's huge." Ianto stammered "I could walk for days and not reach for one end to the other."

"Yeah, we have conveyors in the walls here, they are like a seat that shoots you quicker. I love them at high speed although not many like to" Jack laughed.

"Well, I do believe I have travelled in one on Sol3… the place I worked for had some that went sideways, up and down… your stomach in your shoes sometimes" Ianto laughed.

"You are sweet" the man blurted "sorry. I am Jack. Jack Harkness."

"Ianto Jones."

"Here with family?"

Ianto was about to reply when Mica appeared, launching herself at him with a squeal of glee and Ianto caught her, swinging her around with a kiss to her cheek.

"There ya are. David is carrying on that it's his turn for those hover blades young lady" Rhiannon yelled as she appeared, then paused to take in the handsome man.

"Rhia, this is Jack. Jack, this is Rhiannon. This is Mica and the little shit hanging around the doorway there is David." Ianto pointed.

"Hey, I have my family with me too. Alice and little Stephen. Wow, looks like we are all adventurers now"

"Oh. You have… of course you have" Ianto was flustered now, also a little ashamed of himself for even daydreaming about this man who was a good father with his own family on the ship. God, he was such a horn-dog lusting after someone's husband, Father.

They parted ways and Ianto could not help turning to watch him until he disappeared around a corner, holding back a sigh.

Rhiannon looked at Ianto with mild amusement, knowing full well he had been interested in the man. Ianto did like bad boys.

"This is going to be a long voyage" Ianto finally said "God… I am already lusting after a married men."

"come on ya dirty gobshite" she laughed, shoving at him "Let's go."

.

.

"NOOOOOOOOO"

The scream ripped thought the Galley and Ianto looked over to find Jack wresting with a little boy who was clearly a handful as his mother tried to save the table he was now kicking over.

"NOOOOOO"

"Steven, cut it out. You are NOT having the bloody flower arrangement" Jack was snarling as the boy struggled and David started to laugh, slipping from his chair to run over as Jack groaned "Your mother is allergic to the Geffils"

"HEY! Ya can have ours if ya like, they said we can take them and we can swap, mine doesn't have those followers" David said and the boy stopped struggling, looking down at David with wide eyes.

"Well, I would say thanks but I think you are enabling him" the woman huffed as the two boys grinned over an artificial flower arrangement.

"Well, they are both little tricksters I think" Ianto said as he came alongside and grinned at the pretty woman.

"Hi, I'm Alice" she said confidently sticking out her hand and Ianto was struck by several things at once, not least of all the fact this woman had the same mannerisms a her husband and even looked like him. Maybe it's a Boeshannian thing.

"I am Ianto and this here is Rhiannon, her daughter Mica and David here needs no introduction." Ianto grinned back as he accepted her handshake.

"Sister?" Jack said with interest.

"We're family, got a problem with that?" Rhiannon said with fake anger, making him smile wider.

"Oh no… just… I thought he was taken."

"Dad!" Alice scolded "Put the poor man down."

"I've not even picked him up yet dumpling" Jack shot back "But look at him. He is so… well… look."

"Sorry about my father, he does like the old fashioned style" she said to Ianto calmly "Antique?"

"Huh?" Ianto was still trying to get the facts straight.

"Your suit."

"OH no. Gee is a master Tailor. He makes them" Mica said forcedly.

"Oh my… you ARE a rarity." Jack gushed.

Ianto felt the blush forming with horror, knowing by the man's widening eyes that it was apparent.

"And there it is. Gee's blush is powering up "David rolled his eyes "come on. L's go."

And the two boys took off.

As the older two boys stayed rooted to the spot, still taking each other in.
