This chapter is going deal with Jonathan and Cedric and find how what all they did to get Christian Grey's money
We have heard from Little Princess Mia Grey and her father Carrick Grey. Let's see if their stories all tell the same or is someone lying humm
Ana had a good night's rest and now she is back at Seattle Police Department for more interrogations first up will be Jonathan Roberts…known as Carrick Grey's biological son
Ana walks into the precinct with Davidson this time. Yeah Mr. Grey still wants her to have protection
"Davidson, take a seat over there please. It will probably be a few hours. If you want to go and grab a bite to eat go on. I am sure nothing is going to happen to me with a jail full of cops." she tells him giggling
"Ana I am fine for now. I will wait on you right here." he tells her and sits down in the chair near the door
Ana walks over to the front desk and introduces herself
"Hello my name is Captain Anastasia Steele FBI. I am here to interrogate Jonathan Roberts and meet his attorney Mr. Jules Parks." she tells him
"Captain Steele, my name is Officer Matthews and if you wait one moment I will take you back to see the prisoner and his attorney. I have to clear the hall." he states
"Not a problem, Officer Matthews." Ana tells him
Officer Matthews walks back in and asked her to follow him and she does
"Captain Steele I have already put Roberts and his attorney in the interrogation room ma'am." he says
"Very good Officer Matthews. I appreciate that very much." she says and walks to the door with the officer and he opens it and he and Ana walk in
"Captain Steele this Mr. Jules Parks he is Mr. Roberts attorney. Gentlemen Captain Anastasia Steele FBI." he tells them
"Nice to meet you Captain Steele." Parks says
"My pleasure Mr. Parks and you Mr. Roberts." she says
"Shall we begin gentlemen?" she asked both of them
They both say yes ma'am
"Mr. Roberts before you answer any questions I have to inform you are being recorded throughout this interrogation and anything you say can will be used against you. Do you understand Mr. Roberts?" Ana asked him
"Yes Captain Steele I completely understand that I am being recorded and anything you say can and will be used against me." he tells her
"Very good. Now please state your name for the record." she says
"Jonathan Carrick Roberts." he says
"Thank you Mr. Roberts. Now I will start with whose idea was this: to set this theft up and steal forty eight billion dollars from Mr. Christian Grey?" she asked him
"At first it was my half sister Mia Grey from my understanding from my father Carrick Grey she wanted to take his money when he was a millionaire after she found out that I was her half brother." he tells her
"Captain Steele that is hearsay from his father." Parks tells her
"Yes Mr. Parks I understand that. Thank you." she tells him
"Mr. Roberts, did you have a conversation with Ms. Mia Grey to discuss this theft or is it all talk from your father Carrick Grey? Please be specific when you answer." she tells him
"Yes Captain Steele I had a long conversation with my sister Mia Grey concerning the theft of Mr. Christian Grey's holdings. She said she hated him and wanted everything he had. She was tired of being called the sister of Christian Grey. Her and I sat down and talked and came up with a plan to take all of his money and properties. Hell we were taking everything he owned. The only thing we couldn't touch was that damn penthouse in the sky Escala. Never did find the deed on it." he tells her
"Explain the plan word for word and only what you and Mia spoke of. We will get to your father later in the interrogation." she tells him
"Mia and I sat down for the first time three years ago after she found out I was her brother. We sat and talked for hours just the two of us. She kept saying now I have a true brother. Not even Elliot is my brother oh well don't need him either." he says
"During our talk Mia figured out that I worked at GEH as CFO and she hatched a bigger plan. She wanted it all now but father told her to wait until Christian hit billionaire status because he was heading that way. Hell I saw it and I wasn't even there that long. I saw everything that came through GEH as it was my job to be aware of what was going on and how the funds were being distributed." he says
Ana and his attorney didn't reply
"We talked a little longer, had a coffee and told her that I would be in touch. She wanted to know more about what my job entailed. She said that I could start taking money now before he became a billionaire. I tried to talk her out of it but she was stubborn as hell.
I called my father Carrrick Grey and told what Mia wants me to do. He said to hold her off. I explained that father wanted us to wait another six months because he already knew what Christian was doing and how his company was running. He had someone on the inside giving him information on the deals that Christian made and how much they were worth and so forth." he tells her
Ana gasps at that statement…Oh Carrick you are in so much more trouble
"I told her what father said and she said she would wait for now but not for long even if she had to get someone else to help her steal Christian's money.
Hell I know I was in the wrong. I had signed an NDA and now I was in trouble for that as well. But oh well it was worth it for a while. We were sitting on a goldmine just waiting for the right moment to strike." he says like he hasn't a care in the world
We all waited and then father told us it was time to strike about six months later. Boy was I glad Mia was about to come unglued. Father said we needed someone else to help us. With this big of an amount coming out each time I couldn't do it on my own without someone catching on and be able to trace it to my computer at work or home." he tells them
He looks at them but neither says anything
"Like I said it took around three years to get all Mr. Christian Grey's money. But we did and we had the help we needed. Toward the end our partner decided to start taking three times what we were taking prior to what he is taking. Hell I was stealing close to a million a week then two to three million. Finally our partner said we will take it all now since we have the majority of the money in offshore accounts that are not traceable. I don't know how he did that? I didn't ask. Father said he was a friend and a genius like Christian was but he was more computer savvy than that piece of shit….so-called son of mine. His words not mine
"What were you supposed to get out of this theft?" Ana asked him
"Well with four of us now it was going to be split four ways but father said that wasn't right now because Mia wanted all the properties and we all agreed but Mia. She said she had a right to his money the same as we did. Greedy little bitch." he says
Ana just sat there thinking back on what Carick said that Cedric asked for one billion dollars to help. He didn't say they were splitting four ways..humm
"Thank you for your honest answers to my questions Mr. Roberts. Now there is one more question. Who helped y'all with this theft?" Ana asked point blank
He looks at his attorney and his attorney tells him to tell her
"His name is Cedric Longfellow. Father said he was a good friend and we needed his help to finish this theft and get out of town fast and to a country that don't extradite you back to the states." he tells her
"Now I am going to tell you something your father Carrick Grey told you was a lie. He said that Cedric only wanted a billion dollars for helping y'all." she looks at him deadpans no emotion showing at all
"No, that is not right. Father would not lie to us." he says pissed now
"Well I am sorry to say it is. He told his lawyer and I that yesterday." Ana tells him
Jonathan doesn't say anything more just looks at her
"Mr. Roberts we are through with the questioning. Now this is off the record. I want to know why you decided to help Carrick Grey, and Mia Grey? What was your reason and motive?" she asked him
Before he could answer, his attorney tells him he is not needed. That these questions are not relevant to the case
"I will see you tomorrow. Mr. Roberts you do not need me for this." his attorney says and walks out the door
"You want to know why I agreed to help father and Mia correct?" he asked her
"Of course I do. I got my answers from everyone else now it is your turn. As I said this is off the record not going to be used against you. So tell me why?" she asked him
"I knew I was Carrick Greys son right before my mother passed away from cancer. She told me on her deathbed and gave me my birth certificate. On the certificate was my father's name Carrick Grey. From what she said he never knew. I don't know why she never told him unless it was because he was married and cheated on his wife." he says
Ana doesn't say anything
"I called Carrick and told him who I was and who my mother was. He believed me when I said I was his son. I asked to meet him and he got me a plane ticket to Seattle from Detroit. I met him and we talked and got along great. I told him I wanted to go college and he set it up for me to go to Harvard. He also told me his adopted son Christian Grey was going to college there as well.
I had no problem with that. We didn't know each other and doubted we would ever come across one another. Father paid for my tuition and got me into Harvard. I was there for a week when I met Christian he was so stuck up. Wouldn't talk to anyone. The girls were all over him but he ignored them like they had the plague. He could have had any of them but he didn't even look at them.

"We were on the rowing team together and he was Captain of the team. He always got the best of everything. He had his own place that Carrick was paying for. I had to room with someone. I had to work my ass off for my grades. Christian breezed through like the classes weren't nothing to him. He was taking some of the hardest classes there was and it was like he never opened a book he just knew all the answers." he says
Ana still doesn't say anything
"I literally hated him. He thought he was better than any of us. He wasn't sociable , never went out with any of us, just stayed in his damn room off campus. What would it have hurt for him to take one weekend and spend with the guys?" he asked her
Ana knew why it was cause of the damn pedophile coming to see him on weekends sorry bitch
"That's why I hate him plus he was Carrick's son from the time he was four years old to now. It should have been me there, not him. That's why I hate him and that's why I agreed to help them rob him blind." he tells her
"For your information Roberts, Christian has touch issues. I can't go into details, not my story to tell. That's why he wasn't social and stayed to himself afraid someone would accidentally touch him. He always had a quick reflex when someone touched him, meaning
to or not." she told him
"So your reasons were him not being social and stuck up and yes you should have been there all these years instead of Christian? Did it ever occur to you that Christian was adopted at the young age of four how in the world was it his fault? When they adopted him he was just a little boy that didn't understand why his mother was not there for him." she asked him
"Absolutely." he says
"Very well Mr. Roberts someone will be down to take you back to your cell. Have a good day." Ana says and walks to the door and leaves
She walks back to the front desk and waits for the officer to look up at her
"Cedric Longfellow has he been arrested and processed and if so is his attorney present ?" she asked the officer on duty
"You are Captain Anastasia Steele FBI correct?" he asked her
"Yes I am Captain Steele, Officer Roman." she tells him
Captain Longfellow will be in the interrogation room in about an hour. While he is being processed and talking to his attorney. If you would like to grab a bite to eat while this is being done feel free to leave for a little while." he tells her
"Thank you Officer Roman. I believe me and my CPO will do just that. Thank you again." she tells him
Ana and Davidson leave the precinct and go down the street to grab a bite to eat
"Ana is everything going as planned? I mean, is everyone cooperating with you on answering your questions?" he asked her
"Yes Davidson they are and I am learning information that I didn't know. I don't think anyone did. Jonathan told me something but I have to talk to Carrick Grey again to confirm this." she tells him
Davidson looks at her, he knows she is in deep thought about what was revealed to her
They have ate and now walking back to the precinct
Davidson holds the door open for Ana to go in first
He takes his seat again and Ana walks up to the front desk again
"Officer Roman is Mr. Longfellow ready for me to interrogate?" she asked him
"Yes Captain. I will take you back to the interrogation room. Longfellow and his attorney are waiting for you in the interrogation room." he tells her
Officer Roman opens the door and Ana walks in
"Gentlemen this Captain Anastasia Steele FBI. She is here to interrogate you Longfellow." he says and he walks out the door
"Captain Steele my name is Randall Davis and I am Mr. Longfellow's attorney." he tells her shaking her hand
"Nice to meet you sir." she says
"This is Mr. Longfellow, Captain Steele." he tells her
Ana walks over to the man sitting at the table handcuffed to it
"Mr. Longfellow." she says
"Captain Steele." he replies
"Shall we begin gentlemen?" she asked them
They both say yes
"Mr. Longfellow before you answer any questions I have to inform you that you are being recorded throughout this interrogation and anything you say can be used against you. Do you understand Mr. Longfellow?" she asked him

"Very Good. Now please state your name for the record." she says
"Cedric Longfellow." he says
"Thank you Mr. Longfellow….she puts emphasis on Longfellow
"Mr. Longfellow how did you become involved with this theft of Mr. Christian Grey and be completely honest sir?" she asked him she wants him to admit he is Carrick's brother
"I will have to go back aways to explain how I met Carrick Grey." he tells her
"Very well I am listening." she says
"I met Carrick Grey in a bar two years ago. I knew who he was and I introduced myself to him and told him I was his half brother. We talked for a while and I explained how I knew who he was and who his father was. His father and my mother had an affair. I am two years younger than Carrick." he tells her
"What happened next?" she asked him
"If you will stop the recording for a moment I will explain more? But this does not need to be repeated in public. It is a matter of life and death if it gets out. From what I already know it is a closed case but you never know." he tells her
She gets up and walks over to the recorded and switches it off and sits back down
"Now Mr. Longfellow, please continue." she says
"Thank you Captain. I am fairly sure you already know my real name. I am pretty sure you found out about me from him. It doesn't matter anymore. My name, face and everything about me was changed because I witnessed a high profile murder. I did not know it was a high profile murder. Hell I didn't even know if the guy was dead. I ran and went to the police station and told them what I saw and where I saw it. I was young just turned eighteen. The police knew my parents and called them and told them what happened." he tells them
Ana doesn't say anything
"There were cops on duty in the area I saw the murder and from my understanding they saw two men throw another man over the bridge. One jumped in to save him but he was already dead." he says
Ana still quite
"To make a long story short my parents moved us away from my hometown. Our names were changed. I was the only one with face reconstruction because the murders saw my face but didn't know my name. My family was put in a witness protective program for many years. As of six years ago the FBI came to us and told us that the case was closed and we were free to live our lives but we could not change our names back. We all had new identities." he told them
Ana gets up and walks back over and starts recording again
"Mr. Longfellow we have started the recording again as I am sure you are aware of." she tells him
"Yes Captain I am aware of the recording." he tells her
"Mr. Longfellow, will you please explain your part in this theft and what you were supposed to receive as compensation for helping them steal forty eight billion dollars?" she asked him
He looks at his attorney and he tells him to answer her
Don't know why he wouldn't want to tell her
"I asked for one billion dollars after everything was stolen and put in offshore accounts. I was stupid not to take my one billion when I had the chance." he tells her
"Mr. Longfellow, from my understanding this money was supposed to be split four ways. Why was your cut only a billion dollars?" she asked him
"I am not familiar with that agreement. I ask for one billion dollars. No one told me it was supposed to be divided in fourths.." he says looking stumped
"Mr. Longfellow, what was your part in this theft?" Ana asked him
"I was the mastermind with the computers. Ms. Grey wanted it all at once and Carrick wanted to wait until Christian Grey became a billionaire. Carrick said he had connections inside GEH and he knew it was just a matter of time before that sorry bastard no good for nothing so-called son of his was going to hit billionaire was doing his part at GEH as CFO and taking some money here and there. But he couldn't take it like Ms. Grey wanted him to do it. It would cause problems and red flags." he says
"So you took it upon yourself to take more and finally all of the money and put it in offshore accounts for each of you am I correct?" she asked him
"Yes Captain as soon as he hit billionaire we put our plan into play and started taking money from Mr. Christian Grey through GEH at Jonathan's office where he was CFO. He couldn't do it all so I stepped in and we all got greedy and I started taking more and more and finally took all of it. I also transferred his property deeds into Mia Grey's name because she wanted all of them. The only one she bitched about was his penthouse. We couldn't find the deed to the penthouse and MIa Grey was fit to be tied. Hell wit what she was getting out of the money why bitch about a damn penthouse when she could by three anywhere she wanted." he tells her
"Thank you Mr. Longfellow for your answers. I might have to come back to you after I question a few more people. Mr. Davis, it was a pleasure." she gets up from her chair and walks to the door opens it and walks out
Ana walks back up the hall and to the front desk
"Officer Roman, I need to speak to Mia Grey. I need to ask her a few more questions. Could you bring her to the interrogation room please?" she asked him
"Yes Captain I will come and get you when I have Ms. Grey in the interrogation room." he tells her
"Thank you Officer Roman." she says
"Davidson I need to speak to Mia again. It shouldn't take long. If you want to leave you can call Taylor to come up here." she tells him
'I am fine Ana. We have ate and I will wait on you." he tells her
"Very well." she says and sits down
"Captain Steele please follow me. Ms. Grey is waiting on you in the interrogation and she is handcuffed to the table. I will be right outside the door." he tells her
He opens the door for her and she walks in
"Why the hell do you need to talk to me again?" Mia says pissed off
"Mia I am going to record this conversation just so you are aware of it." she says
"Whatever, let's get this over with. The cop woke me up." she says
"Ms. Grey please state your name?" Ana asked her
"Mia Treveylan Grey." she says
"Thank you Mia. Now I am going to ask you some questions and as I said before anything you say can be used against you. Do you still wish to talk to me without a lawyer present?" she asked her
"Yes Captain Steele, as I said I am going to jail so I don't need a lawyer." she tells Ana
"Alright Mia, now what I am going to tell you might shock you and might not. Did you know that Cedric Longfellow was your father's half brother?" Ana asked her and looked at her face
"Oh my God you are lying. Daddy said he was a good friend he had known for some years." she tells Ana
"Sorry but he is your uncle. Carrick and Cedric both told me at each of their Interrogations and I found out when I was searching information on Mr. Longfellow." she says
"No I didn't know. Does Jonathan know and no one told me?" she asked Ana pissed off being out of the loop
"Not that I am aware of he didn't say he knew." Ana tells her
"One more question." Ana tells her
"How much was your cut from the forty eight billion dollars that y'all stole? Be specific." Ana tells her
"We all agreed that it would be split four ways and I was going to get all of Christian's properties. But they were not happy about that. They said I was getting millions, probably billions in properties and I shouldn't get the same amount. I bitched and told them I was getting my fourth. But hell no one is getting anything now but prison time." she says
"Well Mia my understanding was that Mr. Longfellow asked for a billion dollars for his cut." she says
"All I know is it was supposed to be four ways." she says
"Oh yes, how did Carrick know that it wouldn't be long before Christian hit billionaire status?" she asked her
"Daddy I mean Carrick said he had his ways. He said he had an inside source." she tells her
"Thank you Mia. the officer will take you back to your cell now." she says and walks over to the door and opens it and walks out without looking back
"She is all yours Officer Roman. By the way, has Carrick Grey been moved to Federal Prison yet?" she asked him
"Yes Captain, he is still here. Do you need to speak to him? I need to contact his lawyer if you do." he asked her
"Yes please and see if he will be able to come down. There is some new information that I have received that needs to be addressed today." she tells him
"Yes ma'am I will call him as soon as I put Ms. Grey back in her cell. If you would wait up front for me please?" he asked her
"Thank you. I will be sitting up front." she tells him
Ana walks up the hall to the front and takes a seat with Davidson
"This is going to take longer Davidson than I expected. I have to wait and see if Carrick's lawyer can come back. I need to talk to Carrick again. I have some new information that needs to be addressed as soon as possible." she tells him
"Oh my that does not sound good." he tells her
"Oh no it is not good. He is in very deep trouble and whoever helped him is going down with him." she tells him
"Captain Steele, I spoke with Mr. Grey's lawyer and he said he would be in fifteen minutes." he tells her
"Thank you Officer Roman. I suggest you take this time and put the order in for Mr. Carrick Grey will be transferred to Federal Prison as soon as I finish my interrogation again." she tells him
He just looks at her
"Is there a problem with what I told you?" she asked him
"I am not sure why he is being transferred." he tells her
"Officer Roman I put in for him to be transferred after I left here last night. Did my orders not get done? If not I expect you to have them done before I leave here today. Is that understood sir?" she asked him
"Yes ma'am but I need to know if there are more charges I need to add." he says
"I will explain the other charge when I am finished with my interrogation. I just need for you to fill the paperwork out and have some ready to take Mr. Grey there." she says
"Very well Captain." he says
Ana and Davidson sit and chat and wait on Mr. Upton to arrive
'Captain Steele what is the meaning of this unexpected meeting? I was on the way home." he asked her
"Mr. Upton I have been here most of the day and I have found out some very interesting information from two different sources. Mr. Jonathan Roberts and Mr. Cedric Longfellow. Mr. Carrick Grey had an inside spy helping him with the day to day account of what his son Christian Grey was buying and that person was relaying it back to Carrick Grey. Also giving him the stats on how much he was making and where he stood as he was reaching billionaire status. Now is that enough reason to bring you back here sir?" she asked him
He looked at her like she was out of her mind. Carrick didn't divulge any of this to him. Hell it was like picking teeth just to get him to talk
"So you're telling me his new found son and half brother told you this in their interrogations?" he asked her
"Yes Upton they did and would you like to hear their confessions now?" she asked him
"Yes that would be very helpful." he tells her
"Officer Roman, would you please retrieve the recordings on Jonathan Roberts and Cedric Longfellow for us please?" she asked him
"Yes Captain one moment and where would you like to listen to them?" he asked her
"Wherever is convenient for you. The interrogation room would be fine." she tells him
"Yes ma'am if you would both follow me please." he says
They walk down the hall and the officer opens the door and tells them he will set the recordings up for them
"There you go. When you are finished just call the front desk and I will fix the recorder to take Mr. Grey's questions and bring him in here." he tells them
"Thank you Officer Roman." she says
They both sit there and listen as Jonathan says his father Carrick said he had someone on inside of GEH sending him information on Christian Grey. Then they listen to basically the same words from Cedric Longfellow
"Oh my lord what has that man been doing? How could he do something like that to his son? Who helped him? Do you know yet?" he asked her all these questions
"No Mr. Upton I just found out not even two hours ago myself. I have not had the time to search for answers. I will though give me about thirty minutes. I need my laptop with my clearance on it. Do you have time to wait for someone to bring it to me?" she asked him
"Yes Captain, I will wait, it's not a problem." he says
"Thank you sir. I will be right back." she tells him
Instead of calling the front desk she walks back up there
"Officer Roman, we are finished with the recordings. You can ask Mr. Upton if he wants to talk to Mr. Grey now or wait for me. Please tell him not to say anything about what we talked about." she tells him
"Davidson I am going to call Taylor. I need him to bring my laptop here." she tells him
"Hello, Ana, how can I help you?" Taylor asked her
"Good afternoon Taylor. I need you to go into Christian's office and bring me my laptop. I have to research something I just found out about and if it is true it is not looking good Carrick Grey. Make sure you get my laptop briefcase with all my gadgets in it and my charging cords. I feel like this is going to take a little time. I also want to stay so I can send Davidson back. He has been with me all day." she tells him
"Yes ma'am I will get everything and see you shortly. Do you need anything else, like maybe food?" he asked her
"Whatever Gail has prepared is fine. I am sure she has fed y'all." she says…she hears him chuckle
"Yes she has. I will let your dad and Christian know that we will be back later after you finish your search." he says
"Thank you Taylor, see you soon." she says
While they sit and wait on Taylor Davidson gets up and walks over the drink machine and gets two bottles of water out and hands one to Ana
"Thank you Dav I appreciate it. My mouth was getting dry." she says
"You are welcome Ana. So I am going back to Christian's when Taylor gets here?" he asked her
"Yes you are, you have been here all day with me. You need your rest and I will get mine when I am done with sleazeball Grey." she says
Ana looks up as the door opens and sees Taylor walk in with Ray
"Daddy what in the world are you doing here? You are supposed to be at Christian's keeping him calm or as calm as can be." she tells him
"I am going back with Davidson. I am driving not him. Y'all have been here all day and I know the fellow is tired." he tells her
"Alright I was just wondering." she says
"Come on Dav let's get you home so you can rest. You look give out son." Ray says
"Just a little sir but I was fine." he tells him
"Sure, sure you are. Let's go." he says
"Bye daddy see y'all at the home hopefully within the next few hours after I get this taken care of." she tells and hugs Ray
"See you at home." he says and kisses her head
"Officer Roman, is there somewhere I can use my laptop?" she asked him
"Yes ma'am come with me. Is Taylor coming too?" he asked her
"Yes sir he is. Oh by the way do you have a printer I can use?" she asked him
"Yes Captain there is one in the Captain's office he has already left for the day." he tells her
They walk down the hall and Officer Roman opens the door for them to enter
"Captain, the printer is on and filled with paper and if you need anything else just press the red button on the phone."he tells her
"Thank you sir. Please tell Mr. Upton I will be there in thirty minutes hopefully." she says
"Yes ma'am I will." he says as he walks out and shuts the door
"Alright Taylor what are we eating? I am kinda hungry again." she says
"Gail made you a club sandwich with all the fixins and french fries and a bottle of water. For dessert if you have time, a piece of your chocolate cake she could get before Christian swiped it." he says chuckling
"Oh my gosh please set it out for me while I get this thing hooked up on my secure net." she tells him
Taylor brings everything over to the side of the desk and sets it out for her. He watches her hook the laptop up and waits for it to come on. In between hooking it all up she starts to eat
"Oh lordy mercy this is good." she tells him
"Alright, let's see if I can find anything on his emails first." she says
"What are you looking for Ana? Maybe I can help." he asked her
"Anything that has Carrick talking to anyone at GEH." she tells him
He looks questioningly but doesn't say anything. Wondering what in the world is going on
"I need to know if he has corresponded with anyone there about Christian." she tells him
"Alright I'll look through his emails at work first. Did you know he has a private email also?" he asked her
"No I didn't. Well we can check both of them." she tells him
Ana is searching the directory of GEH and looking at all the emails coming in and going out starting four years ago may need to go back more
"Taylor look for emails from the higher up employees that would have access to Christian's wealth from four years ago. If you don't find anything, go further back." she tells him
"You are looking for someone that was working with Carrick aren't you?" he asked her
she sighs… "Yes Taylor I am." she says shaking her head
They search and search and then Ana sees it. Oh my goodness gracious. How, why, why would they do this? What were they going to get out of it
"Taylor come here I found the person that was spying on Christian for that bastard Carrick." she tells him
"Ok how the heck did you find before me?" he asked her
"I am a speed reader, remember and I have ways better than you. I put one and one together and got two." she says smiling
"Well who is it that I have to hurt for doing this?" he asked her
"She points to the screen and Taylor gasps real loud
"Oh for the love of Pete, why in the world would they agree to help him?" he asked her
"Your guess is as good as mine. But I am fixin to find out very soon. Now let's print these emails off. They don't lie but I bet you supper Carrick will." she tells him
"Yes I am sure he will. You know Ana, this is Corporate Espionage?" he says
"Yes I know and Christian is going to have to get a warrant to have Carrick arrested for this and it is a Federal Crime. His spy is going down too." she says sighing
"Taylor will you put everything back in my case while I go and talk to his lawyer then him. I am not sure how long I will be. All I know is I want it done. I am so tired of all this bullshit." she tells him
"I got it Ana and I will be waiting on you in the front when you are done." he tells her
She walks out and sees Mr. Upton he is walking toward her
"Captain Steele, did you find the evidence you need?" he asked her
"Boy did I ever." she said
She hands him the papers and he looks at them and shakes his head
"Damn let's get to Captain." he tells her
"Where is Carrick?" she asked him
"He is in the interrogation room waiting for me. He doesn't know you are with me." he says
They walk in the door and Carrick looks up and sees Ana and stares at her
"Carrick Grey as I said before you are being recorded anything you can be used against you. Do you understand?" she asked him
"Yes Captain Steele I understand. Now what is the meaning of this unexpected visit?" he asked her
"Well there has been some very interesting information that has come to my attention that we need to talk about Mr. Carrick Grey." she tells
"Upton what the hell is she talking about?" he asked his lawyer
"She will explain it to you Mr. Grey." he says
"Mr. Carrick Grey it has been brought to my attention that you have had someone in GEH supplying you with information about the assets of Christian Grey. The property he owns, the businesses he owns, the value of what he owns. Bottom line: his wealth." she tells him looking him dead in the eyes for any facial change. Ah yes there it is. The narrowing of his eyes and the smirk on his face
"What the hell are you playing at Ana?" he asked her
Mr. Grey, do you deny this allegation?" his lawyer asked him
"Well of course I do. Why would I have someone to spy on Christian when I can't stand the little bastard? I have no reason to want to know what is going on there." he yells at them and now he is getting antsy
"So Mr. Grey, you are saying you know nothing about emails made from your private computer to a person at GEH for over four years that you correspond with about the assets of Christian Grey? Did you not promise money as compensation for their help?" she asked him point blank
"Oh my lord you are delusional Ana. You are grasping at straws. Whoever told you that I had someone inside GEH spying on Christian was lying to you." he says
"Mr. Grey correct if I am wrong but I know I am not. You said in your interrogation earlier that you knew how long it would take for Christian to become a billionaire did you not sir?" she asked him
"Yes I did but from what Christian said himself he was doing very good and his company was climbing into a higher bracket and he was close to top." he says
"Mr. Grey that does not mean he was going to be a billionaire now does it? He never told you or anyone in the family his net worth because it was not any of your business now was it?" she asked him
"You have an answer for everything don't you Anastasia?" he asked her
"Let's cut to the chase Mr. Grey, who do you have working inside GEH that helped you spy on Christian Grey?" his lawyer asked him
"Mr. Upton there is no one and I don't know why you two do not believe me." he says looking at Ana
"Mr. Grey, there are two people that have said that you told them that you have an inside person working with you so you knew when Christian was close to billionaire status and when he was going to hit billionaire status. Now I want the name of the person that helped you and what was in it for them?" she says standing up and looking down at him
"I don't know what you are talking about. I need to talk to my lawyer . I refuse to answer any more of your questions today. Good day Captain Anastasia Steele." he says
Ana just looks at him and his lawyer and walks out the door
she walks to the front desk
"Officer Roman do you have the transfer papers ready for Mr. Carrick Grey to be taken to Federal Prison on my orders sir?" she asked him
"Yes ma'am you just need the release and write down the charges please." he tells her
Ana fills out the charges theft and Corporate Espionage and hands the papers back to the officer
He looks at them and sighs
"Taylor, let's get the hell out of here before I commit a crime." she tells him
After they get to the car and sit down
"Ana, did he give the name up?" Taylor asked her
"Hell no the bastard didn't. He said he didn't know what I was talking about and then he refused to talk to me anymore today. I just got up and walked out and left him with his lawyer. His lawyer knows what he has done and he reads the emails. It's just a matter of time. He will be on his way to Federal Prison shortly and be put where he has put criminals." she says laughing
"That's what he deserves and more. Home Ana?" he asked her
"Yes James home." she says giggling
Taylor just looks at her in the rearview mirror and smirks
