Ana and Taylor are heading back to Christian's and she knows when she tells him what Carrick has done he is going to be fit to be tied. How in God's name do you explain something like this to Christian Grey without him going absolutely bonkers? He is going to lose his ever lovin mind. It is going to take a act of Congress just to keep him in his home until I can explain everything to Mr. Hurry Up I Ain't Got All Day Grey
Alright on with the Chapter….Ana and Taylor talk on the way back to the penthouse and decide the best way to handle this very bad situation
"Taylor, how am I going to sit down and explain that Carrick Grey has had someone working for him to spy on Christian's net worth and tell him everything that has been going on for four long years? Tell me how to control this man when he finds out what has been going on behind his back all these years?" she asked Taylor
"Ana I have no idea but I do know we will have to lock the penthouse down so he cannot get out and go kill Carrick Grey." he tells Ana
"Well I think I need to talk to daddy and Elliot first to warn them of what is coming. I know daddy hasn't heard anything yet cause if he had he would have already called me or you for that matter." she tells him
"Yes I agree with you on that. Why don't I take Christian into my office and go over some things that we are going to change around here and at GEH when you and Christian start it back up." he tells her looking in the rearview mirror real quick
"So you already know I am not leaving him? Yes I promised him I would stay and help him. I am going to do my Deep Sea Diving on Vetting new employees and Background checks." she tells him
"Yes I know all that young lady. Now are you and him going to have that long awaited talk that has needed to be done for years?" he asked her
"Yes, possibly but not right now or anytime soon. We have to get all these trials out of the way. All of this is going to be difficult for him to handle. He will have me, daddy, Elliot, their grandparents and all of y'all." she tells him
"Yes he will and you know Gail thinks of him as a son. Lord that boy needs everyone that loves and cares about him to band together and be there for him." he tells her
"Yes he does, and he hasn't even heard what all they have done and wanted to do to him. Hell I am afraid to tell him but he has to know. This will be tough but I believe in the long run it will make him stronger." she tells him
"Yes you are quite right. Christian is a smart man but sometimes he just doesn't use his smarts God gave him. That's the only way I can put it for now." he tells her
"So true and the damn so-called mother …hell I can't even stomach calling her that. The bitch and bitch troll did a lot of damage to him. I hope and pray we can undo a lot of it." she tells him
"Ana we are here. Now before we go up I called Welch and Barney at their homes and asked them to check and see if they could find any of Andrea's personal emails or company emails to Carrick Grey? They both called me back and said there was no correspondence to Carrick or from Carrick to her. Somehow another she has gotten into Barney's office and used a computer that was not traceable to either Barney or Welch." he tells her
"But yet I found it after some digging. Again I have a higher clearance so I was able to dig between the lines." she tells him
"Ok let me call daddy and you call Elliot and when we get up there you take Christian into your office and go over whatever you need to. Make sure you tell Sawyer and the guys to lock the penthouse up tight and be ready for anything. How many guys do we have here tonight? Damn Taylor I am so sick and tired of all this bullshit." she tells him
"We have seven in the penthouse and the rest of the guys are in their apartments below us. A total of twenty in all." he tells her
"Wow um ok but I imagine that will be enough. I mean the ones we have up in the penthouse." she tells him
"Hello Ana." Ray says
"Daddy I need for you and Elliot to meet me in Christian's office after Taylor drags him off to his office. What I have to tell him is not good and I need to tell you and Elliot first Taylor already knows. Just don't say anything to Christian about this call." she tells him
"That's good Annie, see you in a few minutes." Ray tells her
"Hello." Elliot says
"Elliot, I need you and Ray to meet Ana in Christian's office after I grab him and take him to my office. Don't tell him anything. This very serious and Ana needs to brief you both on how to handle this situation, Just keep calm." he tells him
"Not a problem, thank you." Elliot tells him
'Alright Ana all taken care of. Let's do this." he says
They get in the elevator and start up. Both thinking how this is going to pan out
"Alright Ms. Ana shall we?" he asked her
"Let's go into the bear's lair." she says giggling
Taylor gets out and then opens Ana's door
They walk out of the elevator and see Christian, Ray and Elliot standing there waiting on them
"Ana my God are you alright? You have been gone all day. Have you eaten? I am sure you are hungry. Taylor, have you had my girl?" he asked Taylor
"Hello Christian yes I am alright. I'm a little tired. No, I'm not hungry. Gail fixed me some food and Taylor brought it to me at the jail. I am fine Boo just tired." she tells him
"Alright we were all worried about you." he says hugging her and kissing her head
"Annie, you look tired, would you like a glass of wine and unwind?" Ray asked her
"Yes, that would be lovely, thank you daddy." she tells him
"Mr. Grey I need to speak to you in my office please sir. It is very important." Taylor tells Christian
Christian looks at like wait a minute my girl just got home and I want to spend some time with her
Ana sees the look he is giving Taylor and walks over to him.
"I know that look Boo. Go on with Taylor. I am not going anywhere else tonight. I am tired and plan on staying in and drinking a few glasses of wine and relaxing. We can talk later I promise." she tells him hugging him tight
"Alright be back in a little bit. Seems like what Taylor has to say can't wait." he says hugging her again
She watches him walk off with Taylor and gets herself a very large glass of Christian's fine wine and walks toward his office
"Come on y'all I don't know how long Taylor can keep him occupied." she tells them
They all walk down to Christian's office and Ana opens the door and they all walk in and Elliot shuts the door and locks it. They wait till Ana takes a seat before they do…such gentlemen she thinks to herself
"Annie what is going on? Why so secretive?" Ray asked her
"I really don't know how to say this without just it out. So here goes and Elliot sit tight. If you move out of that chair I will lay you out flat. Do you understand me?" she asked him
"Umm Ana what is going on? I know it has something to do with why you have been gone all day and I know it is about Christian." he tells her
"Yes Elliot it does and I will explain it to you both but promise you won't go all GI Joe I need you calm for Christian's sake. This is very serious." she tells him
"Alright yes I will be calm now please tell us. Christian isn't going to wait to much longer to come and see you." he says
"Daddy and Elliot I have uncovered some very disturbing facts about Carrick Grey and another person I am not at liberty to say who that person is at the moment. I hope y'all understand?" she asked them
"Of course we do." Ray says and looks at Elliot..he nods his head
"I did my interrogations with Jonathan Roberts first today and then Cedric Longfellow who was helping Carrick and his stupid kids steal Christian's money. While I was interrogating each of them they let it slip that Carrick had someone on the inside of GEH giving him information on Christian's net worth and how close he was to hitting Billionaire status." she tells them looking at them and especially Elliot
"They both told me at separate times that Carrick was having someone to basically spy on Christian's finances. They said they didn't know who it was. So of course I did my Deep Sea Diving and found out who it was. I could not believe my eyes and it is still hard to comprehend. I wish I knew the real reason they did it." she tells them
"I had to get Carrick's lawyer back up the precinct so we could talk to him again. Well you know how lawyers can be? He was bitchy at first but when I showed him the emails he was lll for talking to Carrick again. We walked back to the interrogation room and I asked him who he had working for him on the inside of GEH. He looked at me like I had three heads. He said I have no idea what you are talking about. I told him two other people had already spilled the beans on him. He said it wasn't true and he had no idea where they got that information from. I asked him again and he clammed up and said he was through talking to me tonight and he needed to talk to his lawyer. So I couldn't do anything else and walked out. Now here we are. The penthouse is locked down tight. Christian cannot get out of here." she tells them sighing
"Oh my lord he is going to lose it. You know that don't you Ana?" Elliot asked her
"Yes El I know he is that's why we devised this plan. I was going to talk to y'all while Taylor kept Christian occupied for a little while. I needed to prepare y'all for this." she tells them
"Ana you know this is Corporate Espionage? Christian will have to press charges . I love it hot damn gonna take the bastard down." Ray says laughing
"I know it's not a laughing matter but damn Christian deserves to do this. What do you think about it Elliot? Do you think he deserves to put the bastard in his place and do you think we can control him?" Ray asked him
'Oh…as Ana says…lordy mercy…this is going to be some tough shit that he has to handle. I know you have to tell him and I will be right here with you when you do and I might have to sit on him." Elliot says
"I want to know who the other person is Ana?" Elliot asked her looking at her
"I'm sorry Elliot but I cannot tell you are anyone until Carrick gives up the name and they are arrested." she tells him
"So are we ready to do this? Elliot when he comes in make sure you lock and barricade that damn door right there." she tells him pointing to the office door
"Not a problem Ana. As soon as he and Taylor walk in it's locked and my big body is against it." he tells her
"Taylor, are you finished with Christian? If you are, please bring him to his office." she asked him
"Yes Ana we will be right there." he says as he clicks off his phone
You can hear Christian all the way down the hall. He is getting aggravated…now is not the time for that…she meets them at the door and walks them in and takes Christian to his seat behind his desk
"Alright now what the hell is going on? I know something is up. So tell me I am tired of being in the dark. I need to know what is happening with my life?" he asked Ana looking at her
"Christian. Boo there is no easy way to tell you this so I am going to ask that you try to stay calm. I know it is going to be hard but for my piece of mind please try. I don't want to have to knock you out. But I will if you get out of hand and start acting like a five year old. You are better than that. Besides you will need all your facilities in tack for what you will have to do." she tells him
"Ana I will try so please just spit it out." he tells her
"Alright I questioned Jonathan Roberts and Cedric Longfellow earlier today at separate times." she says
"Ok who is Cedric Longfellow?" Christian asked her
"He was the one that tried to hide all your money from you." she says
"Anyway back to Jonthan and Cedric. They both told me and their lawyers that Carrick had someone on the inside of GEH giving him information about your company and your net worth. Carrick waited until you became a billionaire to take all your money." she says looking at him he doesn't say anything yet
"Mia was involved up to her eyeballs with them. She didn't know anything about a spy that Carrick had in your company." she says
"Christian this has been going on for over four years and no one at GEH knew about it. Welch and Barney have no clue how this could get by them. Now Barney does have a theory that the person that was working for Carrick somehow got into his office and took one of the laptops that are untraceable. I was able to find the emails and the person that was spying for Carrick. It took some time but with my Deep Sea Diving and high clearance I was able to pinpoint who did and where." She tells him all of this. Still waiting on him to say something
Ray and Elliot are stumped; he hasn't started screaming yet. He is to calm….the calm before the storm
"So let me get this all straight in my head. My so-called hell whatever he was..Carrick Grey paid someone in my company to spy on me for him and his kids and whoever this Cedric Longfellow is so they could rob me blind when I became a billionaire? he asked Ana standing up and clenching his fist
"Yes Boo that is what I am saying and now you are going to have to take out a warrant on him for Corporate Espionage." she tells him
"Son of a bitch how much more does that sorry, too-faced bastard want from me? He never loved me. Never cared about me."He says with his hand on the desk he swipes everything on the floor and starts screaming and cursing. Throwing whatever he can get his hands on. He picks up the desk chair and throws it across the room and hits the windows..thank god they are bullet proof…he grabs his bottles of liquor and slings them wherever…he pulls his hair and slams his fist into the wall over and over…and runs toward his door
"Elliot get out my fucking way I am going to kill that sorry piece fucking shit if it's the last thing I do….he yells in Elliot's face…GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY ELLIOT. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO HURT YOU BRO." he says to Elliot…his voice breaking
Ana walks over to him and gently takes his hand and sits him down on the couch he has in there. She looks at his hand and shakes her head
"Taylor, is there a first aid kit in here? I need it to clean Christian's hand. He might have broken it." she tells him
Christian tries to pull his hand away from Ana but she isn't letting him go
"Ana I am fine it's just a little blood..see I can move my fingers..he does but from the look on his face it hurts like hell…" he tells her
"Yeah right bro we see the pain in your eyes and on your face. You need to go to the hospital and have it x rayed. We will all go with you." he tells him
"Boo you need it looked at to make sure it isn't broken. Look, your hand is swelling now. Please go to the hospital." she tells him
"Son, are you calm enough if we open that door that you won't go crazy and run out?" Ray asked him
Christian looks at Ray then Ana and last but not least his big bro Elliot. Thinking if I can make it past El I am home free and run to the elevator and get to my car and get the hell out of there and to the police station before they can catch me…he is thinking but he knows he will never make it. Either Elliot or Ana will tackle him…he laughs to himself about Ana tackling him and she probably could and would…she said she didn't want to knock his ass out
"Yes Ray, I am calm as I can be. I know I can do anything right now to the bastard as much as I wish I could. I just want to be the one to tell the bastard he is going away for a fucking long time and that he is under arrest for Coroporate Espionage and I want the name of the bitch or bastard who was spying on me and my company. Will you give me that Ana please? Can you work a miracle for me?" he asked her
"Boo I will do the best I can but I see no reason why my boss won't let you do this after everything you have been through." she tells him
"Thank you Ana. Now let's go to the hospital my hand hurts like a bitch." he says
"Are you all coming with us?" Christian asked them
"Naw bro you go ahead with Ana, Ray and Taylor. I think you will be good with just them." Elliot tells him
"Elliot I would really like it if you would too, please." he tells him smiling
"Alright bro let's ride." Elliot says
Elliot unlocks the door and they all start to walk out one by one. Just before Ana walks out Christian grabs her hand
"Thank you Ana for everything you are doing and have done for me. I know I can be an ass sometimes but I am so sorry for everything that happened years ago. I do want to try again with you but it is up to you." he tells her and kisses her head
"We will talk later but right now we need to see about your hand and then tomorrow you are going to get a warrant for Carrick Grey. After that there is a lot we need to talk about. It is not about us but about what everyone has wanted to do to you and have done to you. It will be a lot to take in but just remember I am here for you anytime day or night Boo." she tells him
He just looks at her not sure what to say or even if he wants to hear about what everyone had planned for him
"Um ok let's go." he says
They walk out of the office and everyone is waiting on them
"Everything good bro?" Elliot asked him
"El everything is good." he tells him smiling
At the hospital his hand is not broken, he just bruised it and it will be sore for a while. Thank God for that
They all head back home
"Ana, would you like something to drink?" Gail asked her
"Water would be nice, thank you Gail." Ana tells her
"Would anyone else like something to drink or are you all hungry? I know it's late but I can fix you all something quickly." she tells them
"No thank you Gail, we are all good." Ray says
"Hey now wait a minute. I want some of Ana's chocolate cake. I will get it myself Gail. Thank you for asking." he tells her
"Never fails that the boy has a hole in his stomach." Ray says laughing
"Don't we all know it?" Ana says laughing
"Gail, would you help me with breakfast in the morning? We need to be at the courthouse by nine o'clock." she tells Gail
"Yes Ana I sure will. What would you all like for breakfast?" she asked them
"Something easy, nothing fancy in the morning. Just eggs and bacon. I'll make biscuits." Ana says
"That sounds good to y'all?" Ana asked them
They all say yes
"Very good I will see you all in the morning. I am going to bed." Gail tells them
'Goodnight Gail sweet dreams." Ana tells her
"Well y'all I am going to call it a night. See you all in the morning." Elliot says
"Goodnight El see you in the morning." Christian says
"Well I guess I am going to follow Elliot. Goodnight Annie, Christian see y'all in the morning. Christian if you would like I will be more than happy to go with you and Ana in the morning. By the way I am going to make a quick call and have it approved for you to deliver the warrant to Carrick yourself. The president won't refuse you I promise." Ray says
"Yes Ray I would appreciate you being there and thank you for doing this for me." he says
"By the way, Carrick is not at the Seattle Police Department. I had him transferred to The Federal Prison tonight." Ana tells them
They all look at her like what
"How did you accomplish that so fast?" Ray asked her
"Oh I had it in the works the day before after I interrogated him the first time. I made sure it was going to go through today. After I said what the new charge was, they had no problem doing what I ordered them to do." she said
"Alright goodnight see y'all in the A.M." Ray says
"Night daddy love you ." Ana tells him
"Love you too Annie." he says
"Ana, can we talk for a little while? This is not about us. It's about some of the things you were saying earlier." he tells her
"Of course we can. I just need to grab a few things for you to read. Are you sure you want to do this tonight? Cause your head is already buzzing with what you have learnt tonight." she tells him
"Yes please. I really want to know what all these sick bastards had planned for me all my life." he tells her
"Well I really didn't want to get into it tonight but if you want to know I will tell you and you can read the files. Christian I am going to let you read the files on Carrick, Mia, Jonathan and Cedric tonight. After we come back from the prison you can read the files on the rest of the bitches. How does that sound?" she asked him
"Ana, ok get me the files on the ones that did this to me. You promise I will get the rest of the flies tomorrow after I take Carrick down and laugh in that bastard's face?" he asked her
"Absolutely Boo, I promise you can see everything I have on all of them if that is what you want." she tells him
"Ok let's get comfortable then. How about a glass of wine?" he asked her
"Um, I don't think wine would be good right now. How about I make us a cappuccino or a glass of tea instead?" she asked him
"Ok cappuccino will be good thank you." he says
She walks off into the kitchen and gets everything she will need to make the cappuccinos with. After she gets them made she brings them into the great room and sets them on the table. Then she walks over to her briefcase and picks up the transcripts from the interrogations and walks back over to sit down beside Christian. She gives him Carrick's transcript first since he is going to serve him his warrant in the morning
"Alright Boo, here is Carrick's first. If you feel like you can't read more or need to ask me questions I will be right here with you." she tells him
"Ok Ana as long as you are here I will be alright." he tells her
Ana hands him the file and sits back and lets him read it paying close attention to his face and hands
"Let me introduce myself. I am FBI Agent Anastasia Steele." she says holding her hand out to shake with the lawyer
"Nice to finally meet you, Captain Steele. I have heard so much about you the last few years. It is an honor to meet you." he says shaking her hand
"My pleasure Mr. Upton." she says
They take a seat and Ana starts
"Shall we begin gentlemen?" she asked them
They both reply with a yes
"Mr. Grey before you answer any question I have to inform you that you are being recorded throughout this interrogation and anything you say can and will be used against you. Do you understand Mr. Grey?" she asked him
Yes Captain Steele I completely understand that I am being recorded and anything I say can and will be used against me." he says
"Very good. Now please state your name for the record." she says
"Carrick Wayne Grey." he says
"Thank you Mr. Grey. Now I will start by asking you whose idea it was to set this theft up and steal forty eight billion dollars from Mr. Christian Grey, your son?" she asked him
Ana sees the look he is giving her when she said Christian was his son..let's see what that is about
"Captain Steele Christian Grey is not my son. My wife begged me to adopt him. He is a worthless piece of shit and not good enough to carry the Grey name." he says matter of fact
"Alright we will get back to that. My question was whose idea was it to steal from Mr. Grey?" she asked him looking him dead in the eyes
"It was Mia's she wanted to steal from him when he became a millionaire but I put it off telling her we will wait until he reaches Billionaire status. Hell everyone knew he was heading that way. It wouldn't be long and damn if I wasn't right. Mia, Jonathan my true son and myself we came up with a plan to strip him bare. We had help bet you didn't know that Captain Steele?" he asked her
She ignored that barb thrown at her..she has something to tell him soon
"Would you please continue with the plan Mr. Grey?" she asked him kindly
"After I found out that Jonathan Roberts was my biological son and nosy Mia found out about it. I made a deal with her if she wouldn't tell anyone I would help her with her plan to take Christian to the cleaners and by God we did." he says
"How did this plan flourish and finally come together Mr. Grey?" she asked him
"When my son Jonathan Roberts was in college I found out he was my son. His mother told him before she passed away that I was his father. I didn't know anything about him until he was twenty one. He wanted to meet me and I agreed for him to come to Seattle and meet me. He wanted to go to Harvard just like Christian did. So I funded his education the least I could do." he says
"He didn't like Christian they didn't get along in college. Not sure why but they didn't. He never told me the reason and I never asked him. While he was in college he became friends with Rosalyn Bailey. He knew she was friends with Christian and learned everything about him from her without her catching on to what he was doing. But alas he didn't learn much because Christian kept to himself and then he quit college like a damn dumbass." he tells her
she just sits there not saying a word neither does his lawyer
"Before Jonathan graduated he and Ros talked a lot and she told him if Christian's dream came true and started his own company she would make sure he got a job there. And sure enough after my so-called son Christian made it big which I never believed he would, he surprised us all. A genius that's what he is, a damn genius and I was proud of him for a while until he became more powerful, richer than Midas and wouldn't let me in his company as his main attorney. I hate that man with a damn fucking passion. He thinks he is better than anyone. He doesn't care who he hurts or what he does because he is The Christian Grey.
Don't get me wrong I used him for his status and so did poor nieve Princess Mia. She had it made he would do anything for her. Why I still to this day don't understand why he would give her a damn black Amex card. She is a spoiled brat. She used him more than anyone. She hates him too. More now that she has a real brother." he says
"Mr. Grey, you are getting off topic. I want to know what you all did to hatch this plan and I want to know who all is involved in and why you all did this to Mr. Christian Grey?" she asked him standing up and looking down at Carrick
Carrick looks pissed but Ana doesn't give a damn
"As I said we decided to wait until Christian was a billionaire then take him for everything. I mean everything: his money, his possessions, his properties. You name it we took it. We had to be careful because of his men at work. Welch and Barney monitored everything at GEH and Taylor monitored his personal and private property." he says
Ana still doesn't say anything. Hoping that he will spill it all for her. She is waiting to trip him up
"So you see Captain Steele, we did it all. I had help Jonathan helped us. He was Christian's CFO…he had the inside scoop on Christian. He could work around his money but that wasn't enough. Jonathan said we needed someone with more experience to dig deeper. He meant that we needed someone with more smarts than him. I found someone that was willing to help us for a fee. I offered him one billion dollars to take everything from Christian and he just about jerked my arm off. All he needed was a computer and he went to work. He took all the money a little at a time then more and more. Mia wanted all his property so my guy made sure he put all of it in her name. She will probably say she didn't know but she did . Hell she begged me for them.
Why would I want them when I was going to be a billionaire and buy what I wanted? He started wiping Christian out in a matter of three years. He said it would take longer but they didn't want to wait that long. So everyone got greedy and wanted more. I told them they were fucking up bad and someone was going to catch on but they kept on till we got it all. It was an awesome day when I woke up and saw on tv live that The Christian Grey Billionaire Bachelor was broke. I was elated his money was all gone." he tells her
"But no one did until you came back. I am pretty sure Ray got everything and then told you that Christian needed your help." he tells her
"I want the name of the man that helped you with all of this?" she asked him point blank
Carrick looks at his lawyer but his lawyer nods his head but doesn't say anything. I believe he is disgusted with him
"I am surprised you haven't found out who he is yet Captain Steele." he says her
Mr. Grey, what is the person's name that you promised one billion dollars to for the help of stealing forty eight billion dollars from Mr. Christian Grey?" she asked him slightly raising her voice
"His name is Cedric Longfellow he is a friend I met years ago and he is a computer genius." he tells her
Ana looks at Carrick and walks around the room and stops and looks at Carrick again. Carrick is kinda fidgeting. Not sure what Ana is up too
Ana walks over back over to the table and sits down and pulls some papers out of her briefcase and hands them to his lawyer and he looks at them and then looks up at Carrick
"Now Mr. Grey I will ask you again what is the person's name that helped you and your kids with the theft of Mr. Christian Grey's money and personal property?" she asked him
Carrick knew that was no way she knew who Cedric really was no way
"Mr. Upton, may I see the papers Captain Steele gave you sir?" he asked him
"After you give us the name that you are withholding." he tells him
"Damn his real name is Harold Anderson." he tells them
"Now would you tell us again how you know him Mr. Grey?" Ana asked him looking him in the eyes and never wavering
"He is my half brother and no one knows that until now. My father had an affair with his mother." he says
"Why did you lie and say he was just a friend? You know Mr. Grey I have ways of finding out the most hidden information. You should have realized that by now?" she asked him
"Yeah Captain Steele you are like a dog with a bone." he tells her
"Yes I know and for your information I know who he is and why his name isn't Harold Anderson. He witnessed a high profile murder and the FBI put him in a protective witness protection program. Changing his name, his face and everything about himself." she tells Carrick
"Damn you are good no let me rephrase that you are great. But I should have known with you being FBI you would pull this out somehow." he tells her
"Well being FBI does help but with my higher credentials I can get into anything." she tells him
"Now a few more questions: where does he live and what does he do for a living?" she asked him
"He lives four houses down from me and doesn't have to work." he tells her
"Thank you Mr. Grey now I want to know what all Jonathan was involved with in this plan?" she asked him
"He was the mastermind behind it at GEH. Mia thought it up but Jonathan was the one that set everything up at GEH to start taking the money after hours. Saying he needed to catch up on some financials." he tells her
"He started this like I said three years ago and as he was working on taking a little here and there Mia wanted more and so did he. So he bumped it up and he was putting it in offshore accounts in different names. Then as I saw they were getting greedy and putting more and more in their accounts I told Jonathan to take more each time because they were not going to screw me out of my part." he says
"So let me get this straight Mr. Grey you all got greedy and wanted more correct? Then all those initials I found were what y'all were using to hide Christian's money and property correct? You were using different initials to throw anyone off that was trying to figure it out correctly? So you got your half brother involved by offering him a lump sum of one billion dollars. Is that correct? This was your daughter Mia's plan from the start, correct? You just wanted to hold off longer until Christian became more wealthy as in billionaire status correct? Then you proceed to get your son Jonathan Roberts involved in this theft of Mr. Christian Grey. Is that correct Mr. Grey? As I understand it Mia Grey had all of Mr. Christian Grey's properties put or demanded they all be in her name. Is that correct Mr. Grey?" she asked him all these questions never once looking away from Carrick
"Yes Captain Steele everything you have asked me is true." he says
"Thank you Mr. Grey I am through with the interrogation of the theft of Mr. Christian Grey." she tells him and his lawyer
"Captain Steele I will leave you now to talk privately with Mr. Grey. Good day to you both. Carrick I will see you tomorrow as we have some very important things to discuss." he walks out
"Carrick this is off the record this is just you and me. I want to know why you hate Christian so much that you would go along with a plan to rob Christian. Please tell me cause I do not have any clue and neither does he or anyone else except the ones working with you and I seriously doubt they know it all?" she asked him
"Anastasia, the reason I hate Christian is plain and simple. He is not my son and never will be. I have a son and a daughter and I do not want that good for nothing bastard. I tried like hell to talk Grace out of adopting that pathetic little urchin but no she wanted him to help him. As she was a pediatrician and she knew she could give him all the love and care he needed. I went along with it. I did feel sorry for the boy. He had just lost his mother and he was black and blue from the beatings and so skinny and dirty and the kid was starving. He looked like a two year old not a four year old." he tells her
Ana doesn't say anything
"Yes I felt bad for him especially after Grace told me what all happened to him. My God, how could someone do that to a little boy? That was so wrong and I did agree to adopt him. I wish a million times I had stood up to Grace and told her flat out no. That boy was the hell on wheels. He didn't say anything for two years. Never had any time for me.
He would play with Elliot some until Elliot made him mad and tried to touch him. Then he wanted to fight. Can you imagine a four, five year old wanting to fight his brother and he did. He gave Elliot a bloody nose one time for holding him down and wanting to tickle him. I didn't stop Elliot because I thought he was just trying to help Christian but he was holding him down and Christian couldn't say anything to me so he fought instead.
"Christian was a sad little pathetic boy. He didn't want to play or enjoy himself like Elliot did. I tried to interact with him but he was scared of me. Hell he was scared of men. I just never could get anywhere with him. He was always in his room or outside. He never tried to be my son.
"He changed when we brought Mia home. As you know he spoke her name first and thought the world of her. He would always hold her and talk to her. Hell he took care of her. He would spend all his time with her and Grace or with Elliot but not with me and I was supposed to be his father. Father hell I hated the little bastard as I said. He was nothing then and I didn't want him. We always clashed and never got along. He didn't like me or he didn't trust me. He spent time with everyone else but me." he told Ana
"He was just a nuisance to me and I wish as I said everyday that I put my foot down. He was an embarrassment to me. I didn't want to be seen with the little bastard. That is what he was. He didn't have a father that wanted him. So why should I want someone's leftover child? You tell me Captain Steele? If I could have taken him back to the people that had him for a while I would have in a damn heartbeat you hear me." he said loudly
Ana just sits there staring at him
"We didn't get along when he was small and certainly not as he got older. He fought at school and got in fights all the time. He was expelled from three different schools. He wanted his way, not anyone else's. Then he started drinking and falling behind in his classes. Then you and Ray moved back and I thanked God for you being here because you helped him get better in school and he got his grades up and was doing better.
I know he saved you once from a boy at school and got in trouble but it wasn't his fault this time but the principal wouldn't listen to anyone so he was expelled again along with that boy. He went back to school and with your help again he got better. Something happened to him and it was like he hit rock bottom. He didn't care anymore and you weren't coming around. I don't know what happened, it was like he hated everyone including you.
I talked to Grace and she said you were no good for him. He needed someone in his circle not a wanna be gold digger. I just looked at her like she was crazy. Why in god's name would she say that about you? She didn't know Ray very well if she thought Ray was broke. Hell you all lived next door to us when you were a baby and then moved back when you were fifteen and went to school with Christian. I knew Ray was wealthy. Hell if he wasn't he couldn't afford a house here in Bellevue. Grace I just didn't understand her.
"Anyway , back to Christian let me put it this way, I was jealous of him. He spent his time playing with Elliot, helping take care of Mia and spent his time with Grace on the piano. Hell he spent more time with Grace's father in his damn apple orchard than he did with me. That kid was just …I don't know he never cared for me and never trusted me. I bent over backwards for him. I got tired of wanting to be there for him. To try to be his father when I wasn't and I never wanted him as I said." he tells her
"Carrick if you didn't feel like you could have been a father to Christian why go ahead and adopt him? Someone else could have and I am sure would have loved him and taken time with him. You know yourself and Grace worked all the time. You neither one had time for kids. Grace never spent time with him unless it was at the piano or when she wanted time with him. You never wanted him so you never really tried to be his father. He needed a father figure in his life.
He was so scared of waiting for the other shoe to drop and send him away. Hell he had and still has abandonment issues and you know this. He knows that you don't care for him. He always asked me why did Carrick adopt me? The man doesn't love me. He looks at me with so much hate in his eyes. I haven't done anything to him to make him feel like that. I am scared of him. That's sad because he is supposed to be my father now…He told me all of this when I moved back home here. How do you think he felt about Carrick?" she asked him
"You know Ana I really didn't care how he felt I just wanted the little bastard gone. I was so glad when Mrs. Lincoln wanted him to work for her. I didn't know it at first. Grace didn't tell me he was working for her. Why I didn't know and never questioned it. Like I said he wasn't around me and in my sight. I don't feel bad about it either." he tells her
"I did notice he got better and was doing good in school after he was helping Elena. I was proud of him but I still hated the little fucker and always will. He was just a sad immature little boy that did not belong with us. I thought a few times just to take him off somewhere and leave him and never see him again. But then I couldn't do that to Grace." he says
"Carrick Grey you are one sick individual you know that?" she asked him
"Why in the world would you want to take a child off and leave him. My God I thought Grace was bad but damn she never said that about him. She did a lot worse but not what you wanted to do. How would you have felt if he had gotten run over or someone hurt and killed him? Tell me how the fuck would you have felt Mr. Grey or would you have cared?" she asked him staring him down
"Wouldn't been no skin off my nose." he deadpans without showing any kind of emotion whatsoever
"You Carrick Grey are one sorry excuse for a human being you know that? You have no sympathy for anyone. You never should be a father to Elliot, Christian, Mia or Jonathan. You have no morals and lack empathy for everyone. You are insensitive and an uncaring bastard yourself. How in the hell did you become a family attorney? I would like to know that?" she asked him
'Well I am good at what I do and know how to act when the situation calls for it. Bottom line is I faked it." he tells her
"Carrick if you hated Christian as much as you say you do why keep him around? Why not just tell Grace he has to go? After he got older and the fighting started, do you know why that happened? It wasn't just to fight. The boys at school knew his touch issues but wanted to pick on him. I saw them doing it but Christian would fight them if they didn't back off and that is how he was able to connect with people cause that's all he has known was pain from the man that beat and burned him. He wanted to feel connected and that was his way. You never wanted to try to help him and neither did Grace. Y'all just took him to shrink after shrink and never listened to them and tried to break through his issues. You both just let it go." she tells him
"Because everytime i tried to tell her I would see the tears start to form in her eyes and see how happy she was. Why I don't know but she was. I just couldn't break her heart. She knew how I felt about him. I told her over and over but it did no good." he says
"I wish to God you would have taken him back to Family and Children Services. He would have been a helluva lot better off and not so messed up." she tells him
"Ana he was messed up when we got him and he just got worse over the years. I gave up on him. But when the boy went to college I was proud of him but when he quit I wiped my hands of him and wouldn't help him. I withheld his trust fund to get him to go back but he didn't. He got the money from someone and started his company. Damn the kid was smart and he knew what he wanted but he still didn't care for me and had no use for me." he tells her
"I made myself smile when he got started with his business. Maybe just maybe he would give me a job as his attorney but he hired everyone else but me. It was like I didn't exist to him. I had bragging rights though. Yes I did indeed he was my son and he was hitting the top spot of the companies. Hell he was in Forbes Magazine his company number five then bam it hit number one and it stayed there. He was the youngest millionaire and then low and behold he popped Billionaire and I was out of the picture. But I had all the luxuries I could ever want. I had my choice of cars, I could eat anywhere I wanted just pick up a phone and say Grey and doors opened for me. I didn't care if I ever saw the bastard again as long as I had his money to spend. I had a beautiful mansion to live in, name brand clothes, trips anytime I wanted to go somewhere. I rode in a private jet that my so-called son bought." he tells her
"So you didn't care if you ever saw Christian again as long as you got the privileges to live in style?" she asked him
"Yep."he says popping the P
"He could have fallen off the face of the earth and I wouldn't have cared. His chopper could have blown up with him in it and I wouldn't have shed a tear. His will was what I would have wanted ." he says looking at her
Ana gets up and leans across the table and slaps Carrick so hard that his head swings to the side
"You are a no good bastard yourself Carrick Grey and I hope like hell you rot in prison cause that is where you sorry ass is going. I am going to make sure that you will be out of this jail just as soon as I can make arrangements and talk to your lawyer. I am sure he will agree with me because that is where you will be going after we finish here. So don't get too comfortable here, your days of being nice are over." she tells him
"You can't do that? I haven't been arraigned yet." he says
"Oh that will be taken care of shortly." Mr Grey
"So one more question and this time I want the truth. Why did you do this to Christian?" she asked him
"Because like I said I hate the bastard and for the money. That is all he was ever good for was his money and I was tired of being The Christian Grey's father. Not Carrick Grey father of Christian Grey no they always had to put him first as usual and I was always on the back burner." he says
"Goodbye Mr. Grey." she says and gets up and walks out without looking back
Carrick calls her name"Ana"
"What Mr. Grey?" she says without looking at him
"Are you going to tell Christian about our conversation?" he asked her
"Absolutely." she says and walks out slamming the door

Ana looks at Christian his hands shaking. He looks at me but there are no tears in his eyes. He really doesn't look sad at all. Yes he is mad as hell but not sad like he doesn't care and now he knows the truth. It is like a veil has been lifted from his eyes
"Christian are you alright? Talk to me Boo. Tell me what is going on in your head?" she asked him
"You know for a minute I felt sorry for that bastard but after I read the first few sentences I don't give a fuck if the bastard gets his sorry ass killed in prison. He will see what it's like where he has put so many before him. I doubt he will make it out alive. If I have my way he will never get out of there." he tells her his voice sounding fine not cracking at all
"Um well…ok then. Do you want to read anymore tonight or was Carrick's good enough until tomorrow?" she asked him hoping he would say no more tonight. Cause I don't want him to read Mia's. He will probably go and kill her for what she said and did to him
"Umm..no Ana no more tonight. I don't think I could stomach Mia's if it is anything like Carrick's." he tells her looking at her
"Well it's not good, let's put it that way." she tells him
"Ok well it's getting late and we have to get up pretty early for your biscuits and our breakfast so I am going to say goodnight now Ana." he says and hugs her and kisses her on her head as he always does
"Boo are you sure you are really alright?" she asked him
"Not really but I will be come tomorrow." he tells her
"Don't worry I am going to bed and try to sleep and you go do the same. Taylor has the penthouse locked up tight. No one is getting in or out." he tells her
"Alright if you need me please come and get me. I am here for you." she says hugging him
"I know you are sweet girl. Goodnight." he says
Lord, I hope he is alright. He seems to be but he can be
upset and you never know it. I know how he hides his feelings. Oh well I will know in a little while how he really is
She sighs and gets up from the couch and takes their cups to the kitchen and rinses them out and puts them in the dishwasher and goes to her room
She is sleeping so well. She wonders why she is getting woken up. Ah she hears it. Christian is playing the piano. I knew he wasn't alright. She looks at the clock. It is almost four A.M. Might as well get up and go check on him. She puts on her robe and walks to the door and opens it and walks down the hall to the great room where Christian is playing his piano. She just stands there and listens to him play some sad tune
Christian stops playing and he can feel Ana watching him
"Come on, Ana , sit with me. I know you are there. I always know when you are near me." he tells her
'Can't sleep Boo? I knew you weren't alright when you tried to make me believe you were. You can't fool me young man." she says giggling
'Yeah you always knew what my feelings were but then I go and fuck everything up." he says hanging his head
"Now none of that tonight or this early morning. We will talk about all of that later." she tells him
"Will you play me a happy funny song?" she asked him
He thinks about it for a few minutes. He hardly ever plays for anyone but Ana once in a while and it's been a long time
"Ok let me think for a minute." he says
"How about this one?" he starts to play
Ana listens but can't place it yet. Oh my Christian starts to sing
Ana is laughing cause of the song he is playing
'Row , row, row boat gently down the stream" he starts laughing and then they both start laughing really loud
"Thank you Ana I needed that. You bring out the best in me." he tells her hugging her
"Yeah I needed a good laugh too." she tells him still giggling
They don't know it but Taylor is looking at them and upstairs Ray and Elliot are looking at them. They are all smiling. Each thinking yeah they are going to be alright
"Come on Ana let me walk to your door and say goodnight again. I believe I can sleep now." he tells her
She takes his hand and pulls him up and they walk to her door. She opens the door and tells Christian goodnight and hugs him
"See you in the morning Boo goodnight." she tells him
"Night sweet dreams." he tells her
Everyone goes back to their rooms and beds
Morning comes early they are all up waiting on Ana and Gail to make breakfast
"Good morning y'all. Hope everyone had a good night's sleep." she says
"Yeah we did after you got Christian out of his melancholy mood. By the way, that was one of my favorite songs as a kid Christian." Elliot says smiling
Ana walks into the kitchen to fix herself a cup of coffee and start on the biscuits
"Morning Gail." she says
"Morning Ana." she replies
"Let's have bacon, sausage, eggs and grits. I will start on the biscuits." she says
Gail is looking at Ana like what are grits?
"Gail…um…are you alright? Did I say something wrong?" she asked her
"Ana what in the world are grits?" she asked her looking dumbfounded
"Oh my stars you have never had grits or heard of them? Oh land sakes they are delicious. I bet you don't have any here do you?" she asked her
"No Ana I don't. I think I have seen them in the grocery store but never bought them. I always make hashbrowns if Christian wants them or he just has toast with his breakfast." she tells Ana
"Well hells bells that is going to have to change. I for one love grits. I would rather have grits than oatmeal any day of the week." she tells Gail
"Um ok I can get some next time I go shopping." she tells Ana
"Awesome, now let's cook breakfast." she tells Gail
They all sit around the table and talk about this and that not in particular at the moment
"Alright Christian I just got off the phone with the President and his guys here at the prison and they are going to let you present the warrant for the charges of Corporate Espionage and the top guy at the FBI hopes Carrick will give up the name of his spy when he sees you delivering the warrant." he tells him
"Thank you Ray." that's all he can say at the moment
"Ana, have you called Carrick's lawyer to let him know what is going on?" he asked her
"Yes daddy I called before I came in here. It's all a go." she says
"Alright son let's go get that warrant and serve that bastard his final paper until he goes to trial." Ray tells him
"Come on Ana let's go I need you with me." he says
"I will be by your side all the way." she tells him smiling
They all go down and get in the car and Taylor drives them to the courthouse to get the Warrant filed and take to Carrick Grey and see the look on his slimy face when Christian serves him is final farewell from him
"Alright, ready to do this Boo? Remember we are all here with you." she tells him
"Yes I have never been more ready than I am right now to put that son of a bitch bastard in his place. I hope he rots in hell." he says
They walk into the prison and Ana sees Carrick's lawyer
"Mr. Upton, how are you today? This is my father Raymond Steele FBI and this Christian Grey the man that so many have done so wrong." she says
"Mr. Grey very nice to meet but I wish it was under better circumstances." he says
"Nice to meet you as well sir." he says as they shake hands
"Mr. Steele it is an honor to meet you as I told your lovely daughter it was my honor and pleasure to meet such a highly decorated young lady and now it is with great pleasure to meet you sir." he says shaking Ray's hand
"Yes well very nice to meet you as well." he says
"Mr. Upton has Carrick given up the name of his spy?" Ana asked him
"He still claims there was no one even though we know differently. Those emails didn't lie. I hope with Mr. Christian Grey here it will rattle Mr. Carrick Grey and he will open his mouth and tell us." he says
'Well hell I for one want to get this over with. They have all screwed with my livelihood for the damn last time." Christian says
"Alrighty then Christian let's do this and it's at your pace. We will be right there with you." Ana tells him
"Where is the prisoner at Mr. Upton? Does he know we are coming?" she asked him
"No ma'am he does not and this will truly rattle his cage. He is in private visiting room waiting on me." he says
"Damn let 's go then. I need to do this and say a few choice words to the bastard." Christian says
They all walk down the hall. Christian is holding onto Ana's hand for dear life. She lets him know she is there for him by just squeezing his hand
"Ready Boo?" she asked him right before the lawyer opens the door
"Open I am more than ready to face the devil." he says
The door opens and Carrick looks up and does a double take when he sees Christian standing there proud and smiling
"What is the meaning of this Upton?" he says pissed off
No one says a word. Christian looks at Ana and lets go of her hand and walks to the table and presents the warrant to Carrick. He just looks at not saying a word until he sees it says warrant
"What the hell is this?" he asked
"Carrick Grey you have been served." Christian deadpans no emotion whatsoever on his face
"What are the charges Upton?" he asked
"Ana, if you would permit me to give the charges I would appreciate it?" he asked but already knew he was going to do it
"Of course Christian that is what the President said for you to do." Ana tells him
"Carrick Grey you are under arrest for Corporate Espionage. For compensationing someone in my company to spy on me and keep you up to date on my net worth." Christian says, glaring a hole through his sorry head. If looks could kill Carrick would be six feet under
"You are so mistaken Christian there is no charge against me for Corporate Espionage. I haven't done anything like that. I don't know where you all are getting your information but they are lying." he says
"Carrick you are the lying piece of shit you are not worth my time but I asked to deliver this warrant to you personaly so I could say fuck you one last time. Because Mr. Carrick son of a bitch Grey you will never walk out those doors that you came in ever again. Now you can see all the prisoners you have put in here. Pray they don't see your sorry ass because you won't make till the next day." he says to him
"You are a sorry excuse for a human being you Mia and your precious son Jonathan Roberts you all are scum of the earth and that includes the bitch that I thought was my angel that saved me. Hell she is the devil herself. You are not fit to be in the same space as me or anyone in this room. You should be in the bowels of hell burning forever. You have no sympathy for anyone, not even the righteous Carrick Grey…he laughs in his face…Righteous yeah not…You are lacking empathy, you have no compassion or feelings for anyone. I am so glad I am out of your life. I never knew you hated me so much until I read your transcript. If you didn't want me you never should have taken me home a sad little black and blue urchin. I knew I could never trust you. I felt it by the way you would look at me. Oh yes Elliot said he hopes you rot in hell as you are not his father either." he says
Christian turns to leave with everyone but stops
"Oh yes one more thing there is a matter of two of your court cases that you forged documents on to help someone and I am going to prove that you lied and they lied." he says
"Mr. Carrick Grey I am going to give you one final time to tell me who you used at GEH to spy on your son Christian Grey for his Net Worth. Now who was it?" Ana asked him
"Son , son that bastard is not my son and never has been. But my answer is the same." he says
"Very well sir I have the name and the emails for your correspondences for over four years and they do not lie. They are in detail what you wanted this person to do and how much you would compensate them with if they spied on Christian Grey." she tells him looking down at him
"No way because there is not anything that you found on me." he says
"You know Carrick you could make this a little eaiser on yourself if you would open that fucking mouth of yours and tell us who it was you sorry no good for nothing piece of shit lawyer. Let me, Ray and Ana work our ways and you will be in the general population, not in this kinda safe environment you think you are going to get used to." Christian tells him
"Wait a minute, hold up there. No need for threats here." he says
"Oh Carrick it's not a threat it's a promise and you best believe I am going to follow through as soon as we get out that door. Hope to never see you again. By the way I threw you sorry wife out of my house…yes my house I own everything you don't even have a pot to piss in" Christian says walking out
"Captain Steele wait…can we talk…pl..please?" he asked her
"Of course what can I help you with Mr. Grey?" she asked him
"Let's talk and cut a deal?" he asked her
"What kind of a deal Mr. Grey?" she asked him
He looks at Christian and everyone else standing at the door waiting to walk out even his lawyer is fed up with his sorry ass
"I will give you the name of the person I paid to spy on Christian Grey if you keep me out of General Population. I cannot go out there those guys will kill me." he says
"Mr. Upton do you think we can help Mr. Grey and cut him a deal if he gives us the name of the spy that helped him steal from GEH and Christian Grey?" she asked him
"Yes I believe we can. We need it in writing how he approached this person and how he went about convincing said person to help and what said person's received as compensation." he tells her
'Mr. Grey are you willing to write all this down for us in exchange for not going into General Population?" she asked him
"Yes, yes give me a pen and paper." he says wiping his brow
'Alright here you go Mr. Grey start writing." Ana tells him
Carrick sits there and writes down the name of the person that helped, what they agreed on as payment for said person to receive, how long said person had been doing this and the details of how they were going to do this
"Here you go Captain Steele." Carrick says and hands the paper to Ana
She takes and looks at the name. Yes that is who it is. She passes the paper to Mr. Upton and he reads it
"Mr. Grey, who was the person that helped you spy on Christian Grey and GEH?" Mr. Upton asked him
Carrick looks up at everyone and stares at Christian and smiles his evil smile…."Andrea Decker…Christian Grey's P.A. she has been spying on him for over four years." he says
Christian could not believe she would do something like that to him
"What the hell did you offer her to help you?" Christian asked him
"What's between my legs and a million dollars." he says
Christian runs toward him before anyone could stop him and cold cocks the bastard and walks out
