A graduate of Ilvermony walked the streets of Montauk. She had finally moved out of her uncle's house and lived in a fair house. She had taken a leave for the month due to needing a break.

Sally had worked for a place all her life except when she was a child, it was a deserved break. Not as if she was missing out on her job, she was a professor. First when she graduated from the American Wizarding school was working as an examiner. Mostly for apparition because being an animagus was still very rare in her time and age.

She walked along the beach as she took in the smell of the sea. She remembers visiting this place with her uncle when he was healthy. She had inherited the moment she turned 18 and had used this as a sanctuary for all her thoughts and peace.

Sally had never thought that she'd share her sanctuary with another. But one single moment turned into multiple and she had shared her peace with another. Days were spent together in bliss.

She loved him and all that he stood for. She knew that he was a magical being, she just couldn't pinpoint on what kind he was. For the whole month that they spent together, at one moment he had to leave due to an urgent matter. Sally watched him and she spent her whole day out on her porch, watching the sea.

What the mortal did not expect was that her summer romance returned with a trident in his hands. She gasped as she recognized the meaning of the trident. "Poseidon." She whispered out.

"Sally." He said as he suddenly stood in front of her, "We should talk."

The young witch agreed as they went inside, they talked and talked for hours. she asked questions but was stopped as Poseidon admitted his love for her. "I want you close." He said, "I'll build you a palace." He added.

Sally smiled as she put a hand up to Poseidon's cheek, "I can't live at the bottom of the sea. I have other responsibilities." She said as Poseidon leant into her hand.

"Please." He pleaded.

The mortal smiled, "No, Poseidon. I can't."

Poseidon knew there was no changing her mind, she wouldn't even budge. He said beside her on the bed, "Then I shall stay, here with you."

Sally smiled, "I'd like that, but I know you can't stay for long." She whispered out and she felt her stomach clench in mourning. She had done enough of that, as a child when her parents died coming from the UK to visit Uncle Rich, she mourned when Uncle Rich died, the man who had raised her and taught all she needed to know, the man who raised her, knowing that his profession as auror was dangerous.

Now she'll mourn the love she had that summer.

Summer ended in a single moment and she left her sanctuary along with her lover. She returned to her job as professor at the wizarding school. Charms is what she teaches, she loves to teach.

She loves children as well. As the school year began she wrote down all the symptoms she felt and she held a hand up to her mouth in surprise. The months continued and she began to show, many students looked at her grown another human.

They admired their professor for still teaching while pregnant. They knew it wasn't an easy job.

When professor Jackson didn't show up to class, they knew that she had had her child. She would show up to teach her classes with a bundle in her arms, students after class would stare at the baby in adoration and keep an eye on the baby. Her students would always be quiet when she showed up with Perseus, somehow having a baby in the class had its pro's and con's.

The pros were that they were quiet, as to not disturb Perseus sleeping. The cons are that they didn't really pay attention and cooed as Perseus did anything remotely cute.

Professor Jackson always made sure that her students know what they're doing in their lessons so it didn't bother her. Everyone passed with amazing marks.

Her house was in the wizarding world of America. It was slightly isolated from everyone and she knew that it was a smart choice, even before she met the God of the seas. It was a farmhouse, she didn't mind the stank.

She lived at the farmhouse with the Professor that teaches 'Creature care'. The farm also included magical creatures, something she enjoys a lot. She always admired the beauty that each creature held, hostile or not.

It seemed that Perseus had taken up her trait as well. He enjoyed being around the magical horses. Surprisingly, the mammals were gentle with the growing toddler. After a while she started to trust them, knowing that they wouldn't do anything to hurt her baby boy.

Perseus would always follow her when she was going out to feed the Abraxan and the Thestral. Even though the boy couldn't see the dark horses, he still pets them. Sally watched in wonder as Perseus interacted with the horses.

Percy Jackson grew up at the school, because his mother was a professor who lived at the school, being the head of the Pukwudgie house. By the time he was eight, he was known for his accidental magic.

Sally knew how powerful the little boy was with his magic, she saw how he single handedly accidentally transformed his room into different shades of blue because he had a tantrum. He had turned many robes into the color blue. Most students called him 'Blue'. It was quite a simple nickname but it elated Percy.

Sally watched her little boy rob the heart of many teachers at Ilvermorny. She knew that the boy wasn't allowed a wand but she itched to teach him magic, so she did the next best thing.

Teach him wandless magic at the age of 11, before he was allowed a wand at the school. Sally taught him about intent and execution, how a wand was just a medium where his focus could be put into, she gave him books to read up on spells but she remembered his learning disabilities.

Sally charmed a pair of glasses with spells so that the user with dyslexia could read like normal. It allowed for her son to not get frustrated and allowed him to not get distracted faster.

She looked as Percy showed to be a scholar in the art of magic. He was, after all, homeschooled by all the professors that roamed around the school property.

These were the moments she felt as if it wasn't just her and Percy. It was her and her coworkers, professors. Masters in their subject. It was the best place to take care of Percy.

The Professor grew worried as Perseus grew up, the wonder and adventure in his eyes just burned brighter. She sent letters to the camp that Poseidon had told her about. She learned about Camp Half-Blood and didn't want to subject her child to the unclaimed cabin.

It was premature for Poseidon to claim Perseus. It could pose a danger to both Sally and her child. The unclaimed cabin was the only way for Percy to grow up to learn about the Greek Gods.

Instead she reached out to the camp. Asked to list all the magical kids that resided at the camp year-round, or just in the summer. She needs to know what her options can be before she makes a choice. Let Percy feel abandoned by his father or have Percy learn about the Greek gods?

After a week, two children were sent her way. Lou Ellen Blackstone, a child of Hecate, the same as Percy and one she recognized as the student of the house of Wampus. Her breath hitched.

She had asked if she could take up two demigods that are magical. Those who wouldn't mind leaving camp to study at the school and to spend time with her and Percy in the summer.

Her heart ached as they came fast with a letter that they were the only ones taking up the offer. "Atticus." She called out to the older kid. "Why did you take up my offer?"

He smiled, "It was better than wasting away in the Hermes cabin." He said and looked somber, "My godly parent is a minor god." Sally nodded, "Besides I have the chance to spend the summer with my favorite professor and Blue? Why wouldn't I?"

Sally smiled but looked worried for a second. "Why would your father let you come here?"

Atticus looked mad for a second but quickly calmed down as he saw Percy play around with Lou behind Sally. "My father isn't a good man." he kept it short but she knew what it meant.

She pulled him in a hug. "Don't worry. I got your back now." She said and pulled away, "This can be your new home."

Lou was a child who was happy to be out and away from camp. Sally could see her in the house of Wampus as well. The fierce look in her eyes told the professor enough.

For the whole summer she cared for the kids like her own. Professor Alex Vlahos, a teacher that teaches 'Creature care' happens to also be of godly descent. He got familiar with the kids while had never gone to the camp but rather stayed in the magical world with his parents. He knew of his lineage.

When Sally and Percy were cleaning the dishes, they talked about his father. There was no more saying that he was lost at sea. She told him and he listened. As soon as she told Percy, Sally went over to Atticus and asked her to teach the kids to defend themselves and fight if they needed to.

It was a sad reality but it was theirs.

The summer before Ellen and Percy's first year at Ilvermorny, Atticus taught them how to fight. They got swords from camp and practiced fighting with them three. It seemed that Ellen was better at magic than a sword.

Percy turned out to be a natural, but the boy still wasn't strong enough. Atticus turned into an older brother figure for the two of them. And Sally loved them like they're her own.

She and Alex cared for the kids like they were their own. Alex was happy to see Atticus do so well at the farm. The man was the head of Wampus after all, he looked after his own.

Sally had her sanctuary in Montauk. She allowed for these magical kids to make it their sanctuary.
