Several days later…

Glory was resting under the hot pyrrhian sky, her orange wings fully splayed on the roof of the treehouse, taking in every ounce of energy from the giant star. The peaceful ambiance of the night was now replaced by loud squawks, chirps, buzzes, and screeches of the animals that called the kingdom home. Around the treehouse, other RainWings were resting under the sun in different spots of the kingdom, taking in varying amounts of the sun's rays depending on the spot they chose throughout the village.

As she rested under the sun, Glory dreamed of one particular scene she remembered happening before. The dream had Glory ruling over the RainWings in her treehouse, but a monkey managed to jump into the treehouse and tried to steal one of the fruits she had. Deathbringer responded by giving the monkey the loudest growl he could make. The monkey subsequently ran out of the treehouse through one of the windows, and Deathbringer stood facing the queen proudly…only for that monkey's entire troop to barge in and wreak havoc in the treehouse. The only thing Glory remembered screaming at him was "DEATHBRINGER, YOU IDIOT!".

But alas, her suntime came to an end, and Glory began to stand up, and she stretched her body to be up to par with being queen. She felt her body's stiffness slowly melt away as she stretched. Deathbringer, who had been watching her throughout her suntime, quietly approached. He grew a warm smile at the awake RainWing.

"Did you have a good nap?" Deathbringer asked, a curious look in his eye, but maintaining a genuine smile.

Glory looked at the NightWing and grew a rather bored look in her eyes, though she made a small smile. "No thanks to you, DB" Glory answered smugly.

Deathbringer grew an equally smug look in his eyes. "I did my best you know, it's what a bodyguard does for his queen" he answered

"But a queen doesn't always need protection." Glory teased back, maintaining her smug look. "I can more than handle things without you."

With that, Glory went to the edge of the treehouse and opened her wings, ready to take the flight to the Royal Pavillion. However, she turned her head at Deathbringer, who had a saddened look in his eyes. Glory knew, however, he was obviously faking it. "You Coming, NightWing?" Glory asked.

Deathbringer immediately grew a bright look on his face, a wide smile adorning his muzzle. Both dragonets then took flight through the RainWing Village as they made their way to the Pavillion. As they flew, Glory took a rather long glance at Deathbringer. She didn't know why or how it could have happened, but after that night when he comforted her, she felt more and more peaceful around him, even if he still flirted with her on a daily basis.

"Him being my mate might come sooner than I thought," Glory thought to herself, a small smile adorning her snout as she looked at her unaware bodyguard. "But my Kingdom comes first. I'll pull that trigger when the time is right".

It wasn't long before both dragons made it to the Royal Pavillion at the center of the Rainforest, in between the RainWing and NightWing Villages. It was a large platform that sat halfway between the forest floor and the treetops; with a roof made of translucent green leaves that were supported by the wooden poles supporting the platform. This roof was made so that sunlight could come in, but rain could be kept out of the pavilion. Glory and Deathbringer peacefully ascended on the entranceway to the pavilion. Glory entered the pavilion, but not before she stopped her NightWing flirting mess of a bodyguard.

"Stay out here, DB." Glory commanded. "You never know who may come to get me"

Deathbringer conjured a fake worrying look on his face. "But My Queen, How will I ever know if you'll be alright in there?" He asked in a fake worrying voice.

Glory knew he was faking the look on his face and in his voice, but she looked around for any sign of subjects or scouts before she gave Deathbringer a quick peck on the cheek. "Let that be my answer" She responded with a small, but genuine smile before she entered.

Deathbringer, blushing because of his queen's quick peck of affection, was quick to go into a tall, guarded stance, keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of trouble. Glory rolled her eyes playfully as she entered the pavilion.

The inside of the pavilion was nearly empty with a single dais that was only a few inches higher than the platform. Two racks that held scrolls were on either side of the dais and there was also a single flat rock for writing letters to anyone in the kingdom or even her friends. Much to her surprise, there wasn't much scroll work to file today. There was a small number of requests on things such as checking in on progress in the NightWing Village, and notes asking for agreement on building certain things within the kingdom, among other royal matters. The rest of the small stack were letters from many RainWing and NightWing subjects. They asked for things such as what it's like being a queen, some venting their suspicions about certain kingdom aspects, among other things.

"Looks like I have an easy agenda today," Glory said to herself as she began to file the stack.

Several Hours had passed, and Glory's scrollwork was nearing completion. The only thing she had to do now was check in on the villages, especially the NightWing Village which was still under construction. Just as she finished the last letter and stretched her talons along with the rest of her body, A scout walked in with Deathbringer's permission. Glory turned around and grew a concerned look at the scout, Lotus, standing in front of her, looking like he had something to say.

"What is it, Lotus?" The RainWing Queen asked with genuine curiosity in her regal voice.

"We have some dragons outside that wish to see you, Your Majesty, at the Arboretum" Lotus answered in a quick, yet deep voice.

Glory's curious expression on her snout grew more curious with one of her brows raising.

"Describe them, if you can?" Glory commanded her scout.

"They are a MudWing, a SeaWing, a rather bright-looking SandWing, and Two NightWings, one of which has a blindfold over his/her face," Lotus answered

It was through their descriptions that Glory slowly realized who her visitors were, and she felt a brightness in her heart.

"My friends. My family. Just when I was having an easy day too." Glory thought to herself. "Tell them I'll be there in a moment, please?" Glory commanded.

"Yes, your majesty" Lotus answered as he bowed to his queen. Lotus then walked out of the pavilion and flew to meet with the visitors.

Over at the Arboretum, Sunny, Starflight, Clay, Tsunami, and Fatespeaker sat at the platform. Trees surrounded the platform, some had fruits, others were arranged for flying through, and even a few had targets for venom shooting. Some RainWings could be seen near some of the trees, honing their skills at fruit gathering, tree gliding, and venom shooting(but not for challenging their queen). The dragonets waited anxiously for their sister to arrive, some even nervously adjusting the way they sat and their wings fidgeting with excitement.

Within moments, Lotus landed on the platform and faced the dragonets with a tall stance. "Visitors, her majesty will be with you momentarily," He told them all.

"Thank You" Sunny answered in a genuine, bright voice.

Within seconds, Deathbringer landed in front of them, standing in a confident stance looking upon the dragonets. "Her Majesty, Queen Glory of the RainWings" he announced proudly as Glory ascended downward.

Her wings flapped gracefully as she flew down to the platform, the flapping as quiet as an owl swopping toward its prey. The RainWing landed gracefully and stood in a proud, regal stance, but upon sight of her friends, grew a warm, welcoming smile on her snout. "Well, look who decided to drop in!" She spoke in a sarcastic tone, but not unkind. "And unannounced too."

All the Dragonets did was approach Glory and each took a spot to nuzzle their sister. All but Tsunami, who tapped Glory playfully with her tail, and Starflight, who was led to be near her by Fatespeaker and grew a warm smile as he faced her. Glory, despite her dislike for being touched, took the affection with no signs of protest.

"It's so good to see you, Glory!" Sunny happily exclaimed as she nuzzled Glory as best as she could.

Glory lowered her snout and returned the affectionate gesture to the hybrid, her scales flashing a warm pink. "It's good to see you guys too" Glory happily responded. "What brings you guys to the kingdom today?" Glory then asked, a curious tone in her voice. "I wasn't expecting you guys to be visiting"

Sunny was quick to respond to the RainWing."We're taking Starflight on a day of flying." Sunny happily explained. "You know, to have a day of fun before the school's first semester starts."

Glory nodded at Sunny's answer, though she was a might suspicious over how quickly she said it. "I see" Glory responded. "I've just finished my scrollwork, so I have some time to myself before I check in on progress in the villages" Glory then explained. "We can continue talking about this in my treehouse if you guys would like"

The dragonets all nodded at Glory's offer "Of course!" They all said in unison.

Clay's tail wagged excitedly as a warm smile adorned his cubical snout.

"It'll be nice to be in the village again. I can't wait to try out all the fruits again!" Clay playfully admitted.

Glory, Tsunami, Sunny, and even Fatespeaker grew playfully bored expressions upon hearing the MudWing's anticipation for food. "Really Clay?" Tsunami asked in a playfully complaining voice.

Clay shrugged his massive shoulders at them, with a confused look on his face. "What? Im a MudWing. MudWings love eating!" Clay said jokingly.

"Follow me, everyone." Glory told them as she chuckled. Each dragonet spread their wings and flew with Glory toward her treehouse in the center of the bustling RainWing village. The treehouse looked similar to the other treehouses RainWings reside in. The only differences were that it was a larger treehouse, with open windows at the top and an open roof. The treehouse was higher up than the other treehouses and was directly under the bright sky. The dragonets soon landed on the walkway, which surprisingly had no line, right into the treehouse. Two RainWing scouts could be seen at the front of the entrance.

Upon seeing their queen, the two guards opened the curtain of yellow flowers that smelled of vanilla and honey. The inside of the treehouse was beautifully adorned with many of the wildflowers that called the kingdom home. A hammock with monkey's fur, used as soft bedding for it, hung from the ceiling. Glory's sleeping nest was next to the hammock. It was a small nest just large enough to house Glory's body. It was decorated with Scarlet lace flowers and remnants of Russet Monkey fur. Around them are several maps of other tribe areas and important scrolls housed on small shelves. Outside one side of the treehouse was the royal garden, where a RainWing named Tamarin could be seen attending to them.

In accordance with the visit, A bowl of several fruits, such as bananas, apples, oranges, pears, and especially guavas, Glory's favorite fruit, were offered by one of her scouts. Glory sat in her nest and her friends sat around her, Glory had only around 2 guavas since her suntime already provided enough nourishment for her. The dragonets on the other hand helped themselves to the rest, especially Clay.

Glory was curious as to how JMA was going at the moment, mostly out of excitement for the new students she wanted to send. "So how is everything going at Jade Mountain Academy, if I may ask?" Glory asked curiously.

Sunny was the first to answer in a happy tone. "Progress is going great over at the academy!" Sunny revealed. "Construction is nearly complete for the classes, and we've already picked out roles for ourselves"

Glory grew a small, but curious smile on her snout. "What roles did you all go for?" The Queen asked.

"Well, since I knew a lot about all the plants and animals during our adventure, I decided to take on teaching herbs and healing" Clay explained. "Reed and Pheasant couldn't come to JMA, but Sora, Marsh, and Umber are!"

Glory smiled at the MudWing's answer before Tsunami slightly stepped forward to voice her role and success on the students coming.

"I spoke to my mother about the academy and about having Anemone and other SeaWings to come," Tsunami explained.

"And what did she say?" Glory asked with a raised brow.

"Well…She hasn't made a clear answer yet, but she will have a look at the academy before she makes her decision" Tsunami explained, putting her talon on her neck and momentarily looking away. "I feel Anemone and the others will be well handled, especially with me being the Headmistress" Tsunami explained

Glory nodded at Tsunami's part of the construction before she looked at Sunny. "What about you, Sun?" Glory asked curiously.

"Well…" Sunny began, putting her talon on her neck. "I don't really have a specific role in the school admittingly, but I do help out with the others on certain tasks."

Glory closed her eyes and nodded understandingly.

"But my mother said she would be sending Qibli and a SandWing named Onyx to the school, along with a few others" Sunny then said happily, her tail gently wagging. "What about on your end?"

Glory smiled at Sunny's question to her. "Im gonna have Kinkajou, Moonwatcher, and a few others to go to the academy" Glory answered calmly.

"Moonwatcher needed some convincing since Secretkeeper, her mother, is essentially an outcast from raising her in the rainforest. But Kinkajou took it with no hesitation"

Sunny, Clay, and Tsunami smiled at their sister's success. Glory was smiling back at them.

"And who do you have to thank" a voice interjected. Glory's smile was quick to melt into one of annoyance and boredom mixed together. Glory turned her head slowly to see Deathbringer looking at her with his most handsome smile. "You really had to pick now to bother me?" Glory asked, annoyed.

Deathbringer only shrugged his shoulders at the queen's response. "What, I was the one who told you guys about Moonwatcher. I should at least get a thank you" Deathbringer told Glory.

"I already said thank you for that before!" Glory argued, confused by what he had said to her, as she strictly remembered thanking him.

"Don't remember," Deathbringer told her, though he was obviously lying.

Glory closed her eyes and squeezed her eyelids with her talons and sighed.

"Alright, Thank You for telling us about Moonwatcher." Glory quickly told the NightWing. "Happy?"

"Now I am," Deathbringer said with half-closed eyes and a sly smile.

Glory only shook her head before she shot a slightly stern look at Deathbringer. "Look, I'm busy talking with my friends here so pick up that defensive rear end of yours and see if the NightWings need any help with tasks." Glory ordered.

But Deathbringer pretended to have a pouting look on his face "But it's sooo boring!" Deathbringer complained in a fake complaining voice.

Glory looked at her friends before she moved her head closer to Deathbringer, looking at him in the face, but having a slight smile adorning her snout. "That's an order from the queen. I suggest you follow it" Glory ordered in a low and oddly affectionate voice. "Unless you like being outside, under the moonlight"

Deathbringer cracked his most handsome smile at Glory's response. "Well, What's good being a bodyguard if I can't be close to you?" he responded with a quiet chuckle. With that Deathbringer opened his jet-black wings and flew out of the treehouse through the open roof. "See you later, Queenie" Deathbringer teasingly said before he left, his flapping wings becoming fainter.

Glory and Tsunami rolled their eyes once the NightWing was out of sight. "He always has to make a grand entrance and exit, does he?" Tsunami teasingly asked, her eyelids half closed from boredom over Glory's possible future husband.

Glory only shrugged her shoulders. "He's just my bodyguard" Glory responded in an equally teasing voice.

"Anyway, Glory, how's the Kingdom holding you?" Fatespeaker then asked curiously. "We never asked how you were doing. You know, Queen and all"

Glory smiled at Fatespeaker's question, as it was the one she wanted to hear from them. Glory proudly stood up as she opened her wings and stood tall to look as regal and proud as she could. "The Rainforest Kingdom couldn't be any more beautiful." Glory proudly answered. "I can show you everything I did if you would like?"

The dragonets agreed with no resistance, all of them nodding their heads. With everyone on board with it, Glory led them outside her treehouse, and they each spread their wings for Glory's grand tour of the Rainforest Kingdom…
