(We knew how to really enjoy the moment and not take life so seriously.)
(I miss that. Who I was then before life got so complicated.)
(Haley has always been jealous of me and she's changed you. You're so boring and predictable.)
(And yet I know deep down you're restless and just aching to bring out the old Nathan.)
(We had memorable nights and mornings here. This beach house.)
(Our first time happened at this beach house. I know you like to forget we dated.)
(But we used to care about each other alot.) Peyton said.
(I remember. You said it yourself. We were bad for each other.)
(I think you need to just go. I won't tell anyone you were here. Just home Peyton.) Nathan insisted.
(I'll go. But I'll remind you about the spare key. Just in case bad Nathan wants to visit. We were hot. You remember Nate.) Peyton said. With a smile. As she left the beach house.
Nathan breathed a sigh of relief. Locking the front door after visits her.
He knew then what Peyton wanted and longed for was revenge.

Days Later
The Davis home
(I love you Ethan. You made me a mom. I take that title seriously.)
(You can not like me and you're dad right now. But this is an adult situation that those people had no right to include you in.) Brooke explains.
(You don't know them. Neither of you are wanting to give them a chance.) Ethan replied.
(Peyton would understand. And she would be open to me seeing them.) Ethan said.
Brooke sighed deeply. Even the mention of Peyton's name. Caused Brooke to react.
(I have to stay after school for office hours. I'll walk home. You're going to be busy at the store. And dad's probably going to work late.) Ethan announced.
(Brenda and Brendan are going to be with aunt Bevin and uncle Skills.)
(You walk straight home. Call me or text me when you get there.) Brooke instructed.

(I need as much information as you can dig up on these people. Our son's biological parents just resurfacing. It feels like a set up.) Lucas explained to the private instigator he had hired.
(You gave me a recent picture of them. You paid half up front.)
(I make my clients happy. I found out where they live. I tapped their phone line and put a tracker on the car they both share.)
(Peyton Sawyer has been in communication more than once.)
(They are thankful to her. For helping them end their search for Ethan.)
(But I think they have rebuilt their life and don't have any other kids.) The private investigator explained.
Later on that night
Lucas was awoken to the ringing of his cellphone. It was 4 or 5 in the morning.
(I need you to wake up and meet me outside.) Brooke said.
He sensed the urgency in her voice. How it sounded strange.
So he got up and made his way out outside. Where he found Brooke in her PJs.
She informed him that the kids were still asleep.
(What's going on Brooke.?) Lucas asked.
Not sure he wanted an answer.
(I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. This morning.)
(The person said. That the cafe in town had burned down. And hung up.)
(I got into my car and drove there. The cafe was burned down.)
(Karen's car was in the parking lot.)
(There were police and an ambulance. They found a dead body Lucas.) Brooke said.
Lucas felt his mind go blank and his heart sinking.
(That's not my mom. And I know that. I didn't need you to come here and tell me any of this.) Lucas replied.
(They need you to to identify the body.) Brooke explained.
(I'll drive you over there. Brooke added in.
(That's not my mom. I'm not going over there. I'm sorry you drove over here.)
(Luke. You need to let me drive you over there.) Brooke insisted.
(No!) Lucas exclaimed.
