Alice bounced lightly on her feet in excitement. "I can't wait for the wedding. I already know a few stores where Bella can find her perfect wedding dress." She let out a sigh. "It would be the big perfect wedding."

"He hasn't even given her the ring yet," Ruby raised an eyebrow at the short vampire. She glanced back towards the house, where the tv could be heard from the living room. They could hear a baseball game going on, and from what they could hear, Charlie's favorite team was losing. "What makes you think that Bella is going to want a big wedding?"

The pixie hair vampire pouted. "Maybe not too big. But I'm sure our Denali cousins would not mind coming. It will be good for them to meet Bella."

Ruby smiled slightly. "Might as well. Bella will meet them sooner or later."

They heard Charlie groan in defeat when the other team scored a homerun. Alice let out a small laugh while Ruby rolled her eyes.

"They will welcome her with open arms," Alice grinned.

"I'm sure they will." Ruby tilted her head to the side a bit, humming in curiosity. "Do you think Kate's ability will hurt Bella?"

The short vampire's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I don't know. Maybe it won't? Only one way to find out."

"As if my brother will let Kate use her power on Bella," she shook her head.

Alice nodded in agreement. "He would kill her. Literally."

"That I believe."

They both noticed the light turned on in Bella's bedroom. A moment later, the teen opened the window and poked her head outside. Alice and Ruby slightly stepped out of the trees enough for Bella to see them. She smiled and nodded at them before going back inside.

"You think that he will show her the ring right after graduation?" Ruby smirked at her sister. "Or would he wait for a little while?"

Alice glared at her. "He better not propose to her at the party." She narrowed her eyes and shivered at the thought. "He keeps changing when it would be the perfect time to propose."

"It could be worse. They could get married without telling anyone."

The short vampire punched Ruby. "Don't even joke about it!"

They did have to wait long before Edward arrived, having changed clothes before coming to Bella's house. Before he could get a word out, Alice threw him a glare and punched him in the arm before leaving.

"What is the matter with her?" He glanced at his sister, confused at Alice's behavior.

"Beats me," Ruby let out a wheeze. She patted her brother in the back, trying to contain her laughter. "See you later at the house."

Edward was left even more confused as his sister ran after Alice. He shook his head and jumped inside Bella's room through the open window.

"After the human graduates, where will you be heading?" Garrett curiously asks, walking back through the forest making their way back to the house. He kept his promise, and began to show her more tactics that could come in handy.

"Don't know," Ruby shrugs her shoulders, and starts to fiddle with her family crest necklace with her left hand. Her right hand was clasping Garrett's. "Carlisle and Esme usually decide where we would stay next. But some of us do go our separate ways for a couple of weeks before reuniting. Carlisle thinks it would be best if we all reunite with our 'cousins'."

Garrett halted on his steps, making Ruby stop as well, and gave her a confused look. "Your cousins?"

The dark haired vampire softly smiled. "The Denali. They are also vegetarian like us and we get along with them just great. They know of Bella and have agreed to let us stay with them until Bella gets her thirst under control. And it would be perfect since Bella and Edward are supposed to be going to the university in Alaska."

"Will their house not be too crowded?"

"They have been bugging us for a visit for some time. Even if the last time they saw us was about four years ago," Ruby shrugged. "Edward went up there for a few days when Bella's scent was too much for him the first day he met her."

Garrett lets out a hum. He grasps her hand, the one that was on her necklace, and gives her knuckles a kiss. "I wonder if they will accept me as well?"

"You will get along with them just fine." Ruby lets out a snort. "No need to be nervous. They will like you."

"I'm not nervous," he puffs out his chest. "I never get nervous."

She bites her lower lip from letting the laugh escape her lips. Garrett narrows his eyes and lets out a small growl. Not being able to stop it, Ruby let out a laugh and gave Garrett a quick peck on the lips. They continued their way to the house before Ruby broke the silence.

"How are you feeling about the graduation party?" Ruby turned to look at him. "Think you will be able to be around a house full of humans? You are probably going to have to wear contacts since your eyes are not golden like ours yet."

"Maybe we can take a walk around town?" Garrett shrugged. "Pretending that you are showing me around town as you came back to see your brother and sister graduate."

"We can do that," she nodded. "We can get the food while the others decorate the house."

The nomad suddenly stopped, frowning to himself.

"Garrett? What is it?" Ruby asked him, wondering what was causing the frown on his face.

"What if it becomes too much?" He asked quietly, he glanced at her before turning his attention to the grass that was gently swaying with the wind. "What if I suddenly become thirsty for blood in a house filled with humans?"

"We can always leave," she gave him a reassuring smile when he glanced back at her. "Alice would always pull Jasper away when it would start to become too much for him. We'll go as far as we can until the party's over. No one will judge you for leaving."

The nomad softly smiled at her. He surprised her by pulling her down on the grass with him. She playfully slapped his chest as she sat on his lap. Garrett grinned at her, bringing her hands on each side of his head. "May we go down memory lane again?"

She let out huff, rolling her eyes. "You could have just asked." Ruby shook her head and pecked his lips. "You're lucky that I have a soft spot for you." She gave him an encouraging smile and nodded. "Whenever you are ready."

He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath. He soon began to feel the light pressure around his head. Just like last time, the pressure began to intensify but not in a painful way. It took longer than last time but the noises in the surrounding forest began to fade away slowly. The chirping of the grasshoppers turned into muffled voices. He felt the pulling sensation and he quickly tried to focus on the voices. The murky scene was too blurry and the voices sounded more muffled than his last memory.

He tried to clear it but suddenly the voices and murky scene vanished. He frowned, trying to get them back but they didn't. Moments later, the pulling and pressure around his head were gone too. His eyes fluttered open, pouting in disappointment.

Ruby let out a giggle, upon seeing his pout. "Didn't I say that some memories will be harder to clear than others?"

"Yes," he grumbled, tightening his arms around her.

She shook her head, and let out another peal of laughter before softly kissing him. She pulled away once she felt him relax. "Wanna try again?"

"Of course," he quietly laughed. He gave her a quick peck on the lip before closing his eyes again.

All night they tried to bring the memory back. Garrett would get frustrated whenever the memory would disappear but he never gave up. Ruby had to force him to take a little break. She sent a quick message to Carlisle about what she and Garrett were doing. He sent a message back to be careful and if anything happened to let them know. After their break, they continued with the memory. It wasn't until an hour before sunrise when they finally were able to clear the memory.

Garrett felt excitement on what he was seeing and hearing. There were a few soldiers around the campfire. The men were talking about how life was before the war and the fun memories they had. Garrett saw his human self take a drink from the mug he had on his hand, and almost choke on his drink at a story another soldier was telling. One of the soldiers next to him, patted his back and mocked him for choking. Human Garrett pushed him and soon they began to 'fight', being cheered on by their fellow soldiers.

The vampire smiled and began to pull away from the memory. He blinked a few times and glanced down. Ruby was staring at him curiously, as she brushed the strands of hair away from his eyes.

"That was a few days before I was turned," Garrett whispered to her, not wanting to break the peace around them. "It was one of those nights when we didn't have to worry about the enemies attacking us by surprise."

"You looked happy," she softly smiled at him.

"I was," Garrett nodded. "I was fighting for the freedom of my country." He smirked and puffed out his chest. "And I won the fight against my fellow soldier."

"Yeah, sure," Ruby let out a laugh, poking his chest. "Maybe we should pull that memory next. How many fights did you win when you were a human and after you were turned into a vampire?"

"All of them."

Ruby rolled her eyes and gave him a playful push. "You couldn't have won all of them."

"I did."

"Maybe we should go find the vampires that you fought. I'm sure that one of them must have–"

Garret let out a growl and pulled her into a kiss, making Ruby giggle against his lips.
