Stay

Chapter 64

Authors Note : We are going well jump forward a few months. And we will be seeing Ellie in the future when her and the twins are a bit older. Ethan has been in contact with his bio parents but is finally going to meet them in person. And there will be an update on Rachel/mouth the pregnancy.

Mouth took the stethoscope off Rachel 's belly.

Rachel put her hands on her belly. (He's moving and kicking around right?) She asked.

(He's doing all that. You don't have to worry. He's going to be okay.) Mouth said.

Wanting to reassure his wife. Ever since the earlier encounter when the baby was almost born too early.

Rachel panics and worries when she doesn't feel him moving. Then when he is moving. She stresses that he isn't moving enough.

All Mouth wanted for Rachel was for her to enjoy the remainder of her pregnancy.

She only had a few months left.

(I've seen the nursery. You should check it out. Brooke and Haley took our ideas and created the perfect space. Our son will love it.) Mouth insisted.

(I'll enjoy it once he's born. I just want to savor him being safe and protected by me for as long as I can. Don't make me feel bad about that.) Rachel proclaimed.

The expression on Mouth's face softened.

(You're letting her ruin this for you. And that's not fair.) Mouth replied.

(I'm scared. Doctors don't know everything. We don't know if he's going to be born healthy or born at all. She wanted to take him from us.)

(What if she gets that.) Rachel confessed. Tears welling up in her eyes.

Mouth engulfed her into a hug.

The twins were 5 now. Ethan 13. Meeting his biological parents is something he's been looking forward too. And now that it was only hours away. He found himself nervous and second guessing the entire thing.

And he didn't know why.

...

Lucas cleared the items off his desk. As he placed Brooke on it gently.

Brooke pulled him closer. For months now they had decided to hold off the physical aspect of their relationship.

Which given everything going on. Made sense. Plus they wanted it to special and memorable.

But as time went on. They found themselves wanting to give in to their desires and and each other.

And forget all the reservations they had set for themselves.
