Author's Note: Finally bringing this arch to its rightful conclusion. 'Just a side note. I had to update the ending of chapter 10 to fit this story arch slightly. I saw this opportunity for some new, but important content and decided to add it. TLDR is I changed the ending to have Amity walk home with Luz to the Owl House. You'll see why in the chapter below. Hope y'all are excited to move back into the heart of the conflict in this story. Hoping to build that slow burn before bringing it all in at the end. Sorry for spacing out my publish dates so much. Life is hectic and I haven't had the time to fully dedicate myself to this story. But do not fret, I fully intend to complete this story soon. Thank you guys for following me through this and I really appreciate your support. Enjoy!

Circles of Trust

Underneath the enchanting expanse of the midnight sky, a breathtaking scene unfolded before the pair of newfound lovers as they found themselves walking along a scenic pathway that bordered the edge of a short, reddish-pink cliff. The flora was bathed in warm orange tones, like an artist's palette, creating an ambiance of romance and serenity that was perfectly complemented by the late hour. It was a night of charity, where everything seemed to come alive with ethereal beauty. The moon, resplendent in its full glory, cast a gentle, silvery glow over the land, illuminating the path ahead. The sea below, as if aware of the magnitude of the moment, swayed and rocked calmly, its calming waves generating a soothing symphony that echoed in the ears of the two teens. The tides danced in perfect harmony, seemingly pulled by the moon's magnetic allure, giving the illusion of a tranquility to the often-tumultuous Boiling Sea.

As Luz and Amity walked together, they couldn't help but feel a tremendous sense of calm overtaking them. It felt as if they had somehow, despite the chaotic nature that often characterized their adventures, had managed to escape their own little world, encapsulated by the vivid colors and the soft, cool night air. The night itself seem to broker the rightly deserved tranquility afforded to them, setting aside the broken ties and mended thoughts that had plagued the hours previous.

In respect to those precious moments they shared, the date had been an outstanding success for the both of them. Whether it was racing hand in hand through the crowed streets looking for outrageous plushies, tackling obscene Lovecraftian rides, or just enjoying each other's company. The night had afforded them the opportunity of a lifetime to face their truest selves and finally, big emphasis on the final part, reveal their affections for one another. It was a night of revelation, a night that would be etched into their memories for a lifetime. Amity's especially.

Ever since leaving the festival grounds, Amity's gaze had hardly left her girlfriend's face, attempting to capture every minute faculty of the moment, as if her next breath might steal her away from ever looking upon her again. Her eyes cemented on her girlfriend, she pathetically tried to masquerade her obvious gawking, failing miserably many times as Luz would often catch her staring, prompting the minty haired witchling to blush violently and look away, futilely trying to hide more than obvious embarrassment. However, Luz', guilty herself of the same activity, but to much a less extent, melodious giggles would almost instantly draw her attention once more, causing Amity to quickly return to her state of enchantment, the same dumb lovestruck look overtaking her complexion.

For her part, Luz could help but feel her heart flutter at the abundance of attention she was receiving. It certainly wasn't the first time her girlfriend had been utterly flustered by the sight of her, but it was definitely the first time she had been fully aware of her affection, much to Amity's current displeasure. The human teen smiled awkwardly as they walked, not entirely used to the feeling. She never was one for that sort of attention. But certainly didn't hate it. In fact, she sort of loved it. The idea of being the center of someone's affection had always been a foreign concept to her, especially in terms of romantic endearment.

Let alone the fact it was coming from the smartest, coolest, and prettiest girl at Hexside was even more incredible. Moreover, the girl who just so happened to be infatuated with her was none other than her best friend. The great Amity Blight. Pride of the Blight family and the best student at Hexside was her girlfriend.

Her girlfriend.

The mere thought causing her cheeks to radiate an uncomfortable, but welcome warmth. Luz had always shied away from being the center of someone's attention. But if this was how amazing it made her feel, and especially if it was any fraction of just how happy it made Amity, then she could definitely get used to it.

In between her lengthy glances at her girlfriend, Amity couldn't help but appreciate the magnitude of emotions she had tackled throughout night. The girls continued their leisurely walk, the foundation of their newfound love was tested by the obstacles they had encountered throughout the evening. But with each challenge, they had faced it together, hand in hand, bolstering their connection with unwavering support and understanding. The trials they had experienced had only served to strengthen their bond, reinforcing her belief that they were meant to be together. All of Amity's fears seemed to evaporate in Luz's presence. It was a feeling of calm most foreign to her and one she could only pray would never leave her.

In the quietude of the night, the rhythmic sound of their footsteps and the distant crashing of waves were the only sounds that filled the air. However, words were not necessary for the two girls to communicate. Their hearts spoke volumes, and the unspoken love between them was enough to dispel any lingering doubts or uncertainties.

Finally, it was Luz who broke the peaceful hush, her voice as gentle as a caress. Continuing their steady pace home, she turned to Amity, a soft smile gracing her lips, stammering slightly as she asked, "So, did uh…you en-enjoy tonight, Sweet Potato?"

Amity's heart skipped a beat at the sound of Luz's voice, her eyes meeting Luz's in an instant. Still smitten with her girlfriend, Amity's face lit up with a warm smile, and she replied, "Of course. It was…the best night of my life."

Luz's cheeks flushed with happiness, and she beamed at Amity, feeling her own heart swell with affection. "I'm so glad to hear that," Luz said, her voice tinged with genuine joy. "I know tonight was exactly what you had in mind, but still. I wanted it to be perfect for you."

Amity's smile widened, and she squeezed Luz's hand tenderly. "It was perfect," she assured her, "more than I could have ever imagined."

As they continued walking, their steps fell into sync once more, the silence now filled with the unspoken language of their emotions. Amity took a deep breath, the night air carrying a mix of ocean scent and crispness, and she couldn't help but share her thoughts with Luz.

"You know, I used to imagine moments like this," Amity admitted, her gaze fixed on the moonlit sea before them. "I dreamed of someone who would make me feel so alive, so…understood." Breaking her gaze from the shores below, the lovestruck Blight faced Luz, a warm smile etched onto her face. "And then, there you were."

Luz listened intently, captivated by her girlfriend's words. "Me too," she replied softly, the butterflies in her stomach doing acrobatic leaps. "I know I haven't exactly been in the Isles that long. And I really don't know how I'm going to get home. But…"

The pause momentarily broke the endearing calm that had beset the two, granting an opportunity for their anxieties to arise. Amity's breath hitched for a moment, understanding Luz's rather…strenuous position at the moment. Being stuck in a whole other world away from home surely wasn't easy. And as much as she could trying to empathize and comfort her worries, there was only so much she could do.

But before those fears could fully manifest themselves, Luz continued, "I'm glad I get to spend however long I have here with you, Amity."

Amity felt her eyes become misty for a moment, but she hastily wiped her eyes. Offering a warm smile, she clutched Luz's arm, hugging it tightly. "I know. I don't ever want this walk to end."

Amity blushed slightly as she spoke, a tranquil smile overtaking her expression. She nestled into her new position as they walked, enjoying the warmth Luz offered. She sighed deeply, quickly adjusting to the somewhat awkward hold and continued their walk.

Luz felt her own cheeks warm slightly at Amity's words, but mostly at the sudden contact. Noticing her slightly sheepish grasp as she held onto her, and the adorable blush she wore contrasting with her pale complexion, Luz smirked. Quickly thinking of a way to poke fun at easily flustered teen, she clicked her tongue before commenting in the most charming voice possible, "Awww! Do you always have to look that cute?!"

As they continued walking, Luz felt her own cheeks warm slightly at Amity's words, but mostly at the sudden contact. Noticing her slightly sheepish grasp as she held onto her, and the adorable blush she wore, contrasting with her pale complexion, Luz couldn't help but smirk mischievously. She quickly thought of a way to poke fun at her easily flustered girlfriend and clicked her tongue before commenting in the most charming voice possible, "Awww! Do you always have to look that cute?!"

Amity's face flushed furiously at the teasing remark. She tightened her grip on Luz's arm, torn between feeling annoyed and utterly smitten. She glanced up shyly at Luz, trying to hide her embarrassment, but the amusement in her eyes gave her away. "You're gonna have to try pretty hard if you gonna keep it up," Amity retorted playfully.

Luz laughed, accepting the challenge. "Oh, believe me, challenge accepted!" she declared with a playful glint in her eyes. "I'll find new ways to make you blush, Amity Blight."

As their light banter continued, the girls soon found themselves lost in thought. As Amity continued resumed her unabashed pining of her girlfriend, still clutching her arm tightly, Luz was beginning to consider a new challenge.

Luz found herself lost in thought, her mind wandering to the prospect of coming out to their friends. While she was excited about their budding romance and the possibility of sharing it with the people they cared about, a part of her couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness. More out of concern for Amity than anything else.

The human teen knew all too well what coming out meant. It meant being completely and utterly vulnerable. A step into the unknown where they could face judgment or acceptance. She had hardly managed to comes to terms with the daunting task herself back in the human realm. And heck, it was only ever to those she considered her 'real' friends. Nevertheless, she knew deep down that they couldn't keep their relationship under wraps forever.

As the night breeze gently brushed against her cheeks, Luz took a deep breath, her fingers still entwined with Amity's. The feeling of their hands holding each other brought her comfort and reassurance. "You know," she finally began, a slight tremor in her voice betraying her own butterflies, "we should uhh… probably talk about telling them."

The sudden noise partially broke Amity from her smitten stupor, causing her to raise her head from Luz's shoulder and look her in the eyes. Her eyes half lidded, she wore a spellbound look, before replying, "What'cha mean?"

Feeling a small blush creep on her cheeks, Luz awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck with her unoccupied hand. She felt so conflicted looking at Amity, the pure state of joy etched into her expression taunting her.

She sighed deeply, realizing she was about to shatter their much deserved moment, "You know. Everyone, …uh I mean…our friends about…you know?... us…" Each word spoken seemed to tear at Luz's heart as she watch her girlfriend's expression shift from one of infatuation to confusion and finally to defeated realization.

Amity's eyes widened at the suggestion, and she hesitated for a moment. Luz could see the same mixture of excitement and trepidation in her girlfriend's gaze. It was clear that Amity cared deeply about her new family in the Owl House, just as she did. Despite her own uncertainties, Luz knew that they needed to face this.

"I don't know, Luz," she replied, her voice tinged with reluctance. "I mean, I'm fine with being…open about it, but what if…?"

Cutting her off before she could manifest her fears any further, Luz placed a reassuring hand on Amity's shoulder, understanding her concern. "I get it, Amity. But we can't keep it a secret forever," she said gently.

Amity smiled at her girlfriend's reassurance, her goofy lopsided smile momentarily drawing her attention and inadvertently relieving her worries. Regaining her composure, she offered a warm smile before questioning, "Ok…but not everyone alright. We need to be…selective about this."

This prompted an unexpected squeal from the hyperactive teen, causing Amity to giggle slightly. Luz immediately began considering the potential list of candidates, starching her chin as she pondered. After a few moments she finally offered, "How 'bout Eda and King?"

Amity scrunched her face at the initial suggestion, feeling a mix of concern and skepticism. "Uh… Luz, I know they're your family and all, but... Eda is the most wanted cri—" she paused, catching herself, "—I mean, wild witch in the Boiling Isles. And, let's be honest, King isn't exactly known for keeping secrets."

Luz smiled, understanding Amity's reservations but determined to reassure her. "I know it sounds risky," she admitted, "but she's like a second mom to me. And… I know I can trust her more than anyone. Eda may have her wild reputation, but she cares about us. I believe she'll support us, and deep down, she's a big softie."

Amity pondered Luz's words, realizing that her girlfriend had a way of looking at things from a more optimistic perspective. "You really think so?" she asked, her doubt softening.

"I do," Luz replied with unwavering conviction. "Besides, we've faced scary things together before, and we've always come out stronger. This is no different."

Amity couldn't help but be moved by Luz's unwavering faith in their love. She took a deep breath, trying to summon her own courage. "Alright, let's do it," she said, a sense of determination in her voice. "We'll tell Eda and King."

Luz beamed at Amity, feeling a surge of pride in her girlfriend's bravery. "That's the spirit!" she exclaimed, giving Amity's hand a reassuring squeeze. "They're like family to us."

Just when they thought their conversation was settling, Luz couldn't resist making one more playful comment. "What about Hooty?" she teased, raising an eyebrow.

Amity shot her an annoyed look, trying to hide the hint of a smile. "Not in a million years, Noceda," she replied flatly, causing Luz to burst into laughter.

Luz's laughter subsided, but she couldn't help but be reminded of that look Amity gave her at the Coven convention before the fight. The determination on her face had radiated disapproval, and while Amity's annoyance was evident now, there was a touch of fondness that Luz couldn't ignore. "Alright, so Eda and King," Luz said, steering the conversation back to their list of people to tell. "What about Gus and Willow?"

Amity's expression shifted slightly, a hint of shyness creeping in. She hesitated for a moment before confessing, "Well, about that... I haven't told you yet, but... Willow kinda already figured it out on her own."

Luz's eyes widened in surprise, and she felt a twinge of hurt. "What? When?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Amity's gaze softened, and she reached out to squeeze Luz's hand reassuringly. "It was after you and Gus left to go find the illusionists," she explained. "I didn't mean to keep it from you, but we got hadn't exactly…confessed yet, and I wanted to find the right time to talk about it."

Luz's initial hurt subsided, understanding Amity's perspective. She still couldn't help but pout slightly, feeling a tinge of embarrassment that Willow had figured it out before she did. However, Amity's next look managed to silence her protests. It was a playful and teasing expression, reminding Luz of how Amity had a knack for reading her in unexpected ways. "Okay, okay," Luz conceded with a playful roll of her eyes. "Figures Willow would figure it out before I would."

Amity couldn't help but smile at Luz's reaction before continuing, "But don't worry, I trust Willow. She's been really supportive, and she wouldn't have told anyone without talking to us first."

Feeling reassured by Amity's words and the warm affection between them, Luz couldn't help but beam with happiness. "That's good to hear. Willow's the best," she said, her voice carrying genuine love for her friend. "I'm grateful to have friends like her and you, Amity."

Amity's heart swelled with affection at Luz's words, her shyness completely dissipating as they continued to walk hand in hand. "I feel the same way," she admitted, a soft smile gracing her lips. "Willow and Gus have been so supportive, and I know they'll be happy for us."

Luz nodded in agreement, a sense of excitement growing within her. "Definitely. They've seen us grow closer, and they're our best friends," she said. "It'll be nice to share it with them."

Luz pondered the question further, taking a moment to consider the list of people they were planning to share their relationship with. After deliberating for a long moment, she realized they had failed to consider Amity's family. Finally, with much hesitation, she asked, "What about Ed and Em?"

The question gave Amity pause as she thought it over. She could already imagine her siblings' reaction—the endless teasing and pranks that were almost certain to ensue. But there was also a hint of hope in her heart. Lately, she had noticed a welcome change in their behavior, especially Emira, who had surprised her with unexpected support and understanding. Even going to so as to help her get ready for her date.

Amity's mind wandered back to her recent encounters with Emira, where they had shared several heart-to-heart conversations. It was during that moment that Emira had shown a side of herself that Amity hadn't seen before—an empathetic and caring sister who wanted nothing but her happiness. Could this newfound compassion extend to accepting her relationship with Luz?

Despite her reservations, Amity couldn't help but smile at the thought of including her siblings in their little circle of trust. Ed and Em had always been the more…outgoing of the Blight children, and she couldn't help but think how they had managed to wrangle in somewhat destructive tendencies to support her. Emira especially.

With a mix of hesitation and optimism, Amity replied, "Sure. I'm pretty sure they'll screw it up, but what the heck." She shifted her weight from one foot to another, her fingers nervously tapping against her palm.

Luz was taken aback by Amity's response. She was well aware of Amity's siblings' history of humiliating her, and she honestly didn't think she would even consider telling them. "Really? I didn't think you'd go for that," Luz remarked, her surprise evident as she looked at Amity with a mix of curiosity and admiration.

Amity laughed, understanding the apparent absurdity of the idea. "Yeah, I know. But… they've been a lot better lately. Especially Em," she admitted, a small smile playing on her lips as she recalled the recent changes in her sister's behavior.

Luz's curiosity was piqued, and she cocked a coy smile before teasing, "I wonder why that is?"

Amity shot her a playful glance, her cheeks lightly dusted with pink. "What's that supposed to mean?" she half-joked, trying to play it cool.

"I mean, the fearless Amity Blight did put them in their place, if I do recall," Luz half-seriously shot back, her admiration for Amity's assertiveness evident in her eyes. She reached out to playfully ruffle Amity's hair, earning a surprised but amused look from her girlfriend.

"Hey! It was their fault for stealing my diary at the library," Amity defended herself, her voice laced with a hint of indignation as she remembered the mischievous escapade.

Luz chuckled, recalling the incident fondly. She couldn't help but enjoy the playful banter between them. As she rubbed her neck awkwardly, she couldn't resist teasing Amity further. "Yeah, I remember," she paused, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "You look cute when you're angry, you know."

Amity's blush deepened at the compliment, feeling her heart flutter at the sweet words from Luz. She playfully retorted, "Hey! You're the cute one, remember?" Her hand moved to gently push back a strand of Luz's hair, her touch tender and affectionate.

The girls shared an awkward laugh, savoring the sweet moment between them as they continued their walk. Unconsciously, their hands searched for each other, brushing fingers intermittently, only to retreat with a blush when contact was made—the memory of Luz's chaste kiss on Amity's cheek flooding their minds.

Amity, feeling slightly flustered and fed up with her own persistent anxiety, bit her lip, her cheeks tinged with a rosy blush. After yet another awkward contact, she huffed in frustration, her fingers tightening around Luz's hand more assertively, prompting Luz to wince slightly at the tight contact.

"Sheesh, Hermosa. Easy there. Feels like you want to rip my hand off," Luz remarked with a hint of playfulness, gently rubbing her fingers against Amity's in a soothing gesture.

Blushing at her own aggressiveness, Amity quickly apologized, "Sorry... I just... like to be sure of things." She looked down, feeling a mix of embarrassment and vulnerability.

Luz beamed at Amity's admission, her heart swelling with affection for her girlfriend. Coyly, she remarked, "Hey, it's alright, Hermosa. I ain't going nowhere." She gently brushed her thumb over the back of Amity's hand, reassuring her of their connection.

Amity offered a shy smile in response, the warmth of Luz's touch easing her nerves. "Yeah, you're right. We're going to the Owl House, doofus," she teased, playfully nudging Luz's shoulder and gently squeezing her arm, silently expressing her affection.

Luz clicked her tongue playfully, thoroughly enjoying their playful banter. "Amity Blight. Sharp as ever," she said, causing Amity to giggle, the sound like music to Luz's ears.

As the silence returned between them, a small lull in their steps coupled with the unmistakable bend in the path ahead indicated they were getting closer to the Owl House, Amity's mind started to wander. She couldn't help but think about the lingering kiss still fresh in her mind, her cheeks flushing intensely at the memory. An idea crept into her thoughts, and she couldn't shake it off. Her mind raced with possibilities, and she found herself contemplating something she had never dared to do before. 'What if I...?'

Meanwhile, Luz was lost in her own thoughts, her mind consumed with ideas on how to handle the situation with Amity's mother, Odalia. She knew that breaking the news to Odalia wouldn't be an easy task, but if they were going to have anything resembling a meaningful relationship, they couldn't keep dodging the problem forever. It was time to face it, no matter how challenging it might be.

As the moon hung high in the sky, casting a soft glow over the path they walked, Luz's thoughts were a whirlwind of possibilities. Numerous scenarios played out in her head as she considered different approaches. Should she go in guns blazing? It was her style after all. But she knew that wouldn't end well. If Amity was anything like her mom, she was sure she'd be no match for Odalia's formidable presence.

Diplomacy? Probably not the greatest idea if Amity's stories about her were anything to go off of. Odalia had shown her pettiness before, nearly getting them thrown out of Hexside. She shivered at the thought of having to deal with that again. Maybe a gift? Appeasement always seemed like a reasonable option, but what could she possibly get her mom? A giant abomination statue of the Blight family? Nah, that seemed excessive. Plus she probably already had like ten of them anyways.

Luz's mind was a battlefield of strategies and uncertainties. She wanted to make a good impression on Amity's mom, to show her how much she cared for Amity and how serious she was about their relationship. Moreover she knew the whole 'Blight traditionalism' thing was going to be a mammoth of a task to convince her of. But she also knew that Odalia could be a tough nut to crack, and she didn't want to start off on the wrong foot.

Lost in her thoughts, Luz was completely blindsided when she felt a foreign sensation on her cheek. Amity's soft lips had pressed against her skin, and it caught her off guard. The surprise caused her to halt their walk, turning to look at Amity with wide eyes.

Amity's cheeks were tinged with a blush, her heart pounding with a mix of nervousness and affection. She mustered up the courage to act on her impulsive idea, and though she had never done something like this before, she knew she had to show Luz how much she cared. Without words, her lips had found their way to Luz's cheek, leaving a gentle and loving kiss.

It caused Luz to stop in her tracks, freezing up with shock. The kiss lingered much longer than the one she had given Amity earlier. Hers had been chaste, quick, and sweet. This was much more loving and tender than the one she had given her earlier. It probably didn't last more than a few seconds, but it felt like hours. The feeling lingered for a moment, the world around Luz seeming to fade away as she stood in stunned silence.

Eventually, Luz was brought back to reality by the sight of Amity's now extremely red face and shy smile. It was a miracle she could hear Amity's next words over the thumping of her heart in her ears. "I uh… wanted to do that for a while now," Amity admitted, her voice soft and filled with a mix of nervousness and affection.

Luz was still flabbergasted, her heart racing in her chest. It was the first time anyone besides her mom had kissed her. Sure, it wasn't a romantic kiss, but it felt just as meaningful to her. She felt her knees go weak slightly, and her hands sweated nervously. The lingering feeling on her cheek caused her to raise her hand, and upon contact, she immediately started blushing heavily, matching her girlfriend. It was her first kiss, and even though it was on the cheek, it just felt so... right. Luz couldn't get enough of the warm, fuzzy feeling that filled her heart.

The moment lingered between them, the world seeming to hold its breath as they both processed what had just happened. Luz was the first to break the silence, a soft smile spreading across her face. "Amity... that was... unexpected," she said, her voice laced with warmth and adoration.

The girl in question remained silent for a moment, her face indistinguishable from rosy shades which colored the leaves above them. Shuffling her feet nervously and rubbing her arm, she awkwardly stammered, trying to explain herself, "S-s-sorry I-… just want to uhm…"

The minty-haired teen's words fell on deaf ears, the intended recipient just as flushed as her counterpart. Lost in her thoughts, Luiz wondered how amazing a real, proper kiss might feel. Her face flushed an even deeper shade of crimson at the very thought, and she immediately pushed the idea to the back of her mind, trying to collect herself and maintain what was left of her dignity.

However, before she could fully regain her composure, Luz surprised herself by wrapping an arm around Amity, drawing her close. Cocking a playful smile, she teased, "Man. You must really like me or something."

Amity's shy expression dissipated, and she playfully nudged Luz. "Shut up, you doofus. Let me enjoy this," she said, her voice filled with amusement and affection.

The girls shared a laugh, the momentary awkwardness melting away. Amity rested her head gently on Luz's side as they resumed their walk, her hand finding a comfortable spot on her girlfriend's hip. Luz kept her arm around Amity, her hand resting on her shoulder. She couldn't help but nuzzle back into Amity's touch, feeling an overwhelming sense of contentment and happiness.

As they continued their walk together under the moonlit night, the world felt like a magical place, and their hearts beat in sync. It was a moment of sweet affection and tenderness that neither of them would forget. Wrapped in each other's embrace and without having to speak a word, they knew that their love was something special, something worth cherishing and protecting. And in that perfect moment, as the stars twinkled above, Luz placed a gentle kiss on Amity's dyed hair, silently expressing her love and gratitude for the beautiful girl who had captured her heart.

They continued to walk slowly together for some time, enjoying the peaceful silence that enveloped them. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant sound of waves crashing against the cliffs added to the serene atmosphere. As they ambled along, hand in hand, Luz's mind revisited their earlier conversation about whom they should tell about their relationship. The night was filled with a sense of intimacy, and she couldn't help but think about the important people in their lives.

Lost in her thoughts, Luz finally voiced her ponderings aloud, "Eda, King, Gus, Willow, Ed, and Em. Anyone else." She looked at Amity, curiosity evident in her eyes.

Amity, still slightly dazed by the warm feelings from their earlier encounter, raised her head and met her girlfriend's glance. "What are you on about?" she asked playfully, trying to maintain the sweet mood they had shared moments ago.

Luz hesitated for a moment, knowing that her next question might dampen the mood. But she knew it was an essential topic they had to address sooner or later. "What about your uh... parents?" she asked gently, her voice filled with understanding and concern.

Amity's face immediately soured, and she averted her gaze. She knew this conversation was inevitable, and her heart sank at the thought of bringing up her parents. They had a complicated relationship, to say the least, and she wasn't sure how they would react to her newfound relationship with Luz.

For a moment, neither of them spoke, the weight of the unspoken emotions hanging in the air. Finally, Amity took a deep breath and turned to face Luz, her expression serious but tinged with vulnerability. "I... I don't know, Luz," she admitted, her voice soft. "My parents... they can be difficult…and that's putting it lightly.

Luz squeezed Amity's hand gently, offering her silent support. She wanted Amity to know that she was there for her, no matter what they decided. "I know, hermosa. But-"

Amity cut her off, her voice wavering slightly, "I've always tried to be the perfect Blight, to do everything they-she wanted, but it never made her happy. And now... with us..." She trailed off, her emotions too complex to put into words.

Luz pulled Amity into a comforting hug, holding her close. "You don't have to have it all figured out right now," she said softly. "We'll take it one step at a time, together. And if you're not ready to talk to them yet, that's okay. We'll face it together, just like everything else. But the best thing is if we at least have a plan."

Amity felt a mixture of relief and gratitude wash over her as she rested her head on Luz's shoulder. She knew she was lucky to have someone as understanding and supportive as her awesome girlfriend. With a newfound sense of courage, she whispered, "Thank you, Luz. I... I'll figure it out. And I want you to be there with me when I do."

As they continued their leisurely stroll, Luz couldn't help but think to herself, trying to come up with a solution for their dilemma. She suggested, "Should we tell one of them first and then the other?"

Amity's interest was piqued by the idea, as she hadn't really considered approaching one of her family members first. "Yeah... maybe my dad," she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Luz beamed at the suggestion, trying to be reassuring. "That sounds like a good idea. Your dad seems more open-minded about things, right?"

Amity nodded, though still doubtful. "Yeah, he's not as... rigid as my mom," she replied. "But I'm not sure how he'd react to us being together."

"It's hard to say," Luz agreed, understanding Amity's concern. "But we won't know until we try, right?"

Eventually, Amity sighed, committing to an answer. "Let's start with the twins and go from there," she decided.

Luz nodded, respecting her girlfriend's choice. "Okay, that sounds like a plan," she said, giving Amity's hand a gentle squeeze. "We'll take it one step at a time."

They both agreed on the plan, knowing that it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to face it together. As they continued walking, Amity rested her head on Luz's shoulder, seeking comfort in her presence. The Owl House was just around the bend, and the anticipation of what was to come made their hearts beat faster.

Luz couldn't help but chime in playfully, "Wanna tell Eda or King first?! Or how about both."

Amity let out a sigh, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Let's... let's start with Eda," she finally decided. "She can be... unpredictable, but she's got a good heart. I think she'll understand."

"Eda it is then," Luz agreed, smiling warmly at Amity. "And don't worry, I'll be right there with you."

As they approached the Owl House, their pace slowed, both of them taking a deep breath before facing the inevitable. They knew that they had a long journey ahead, filled with challenges and uncertainties, but they were ready to embark on it together. With their love as their anchor, they felt stronger, braver, and more united than ever before.

With Amity's hand tightly clasped in hers, Luz looked at her girlfriend with adoration. "You ready?" she asked softly.

Amity took a moment to gather her courage, her heart racing with a mix of fear and hope. "Yeah… I am."
