FRANK XLV

NO FAIRNESS IN DEATH…had taken his mother

"It was not him who ended her life. He was merely somebody who guided your mother's soul to the underworld. All fates and lifelines are dependent on the fates. They're the ones who weave the string of life and decide where it ends." Hades told Frank calmly. The younger god swallowed and nodded. He'd understood that now but it was never easy.

Frank understood what he…They mean something.

Ares's knuckles turned white as his grip on Frank's shoulder tightened. He was glad that Frank had understood what he had been trying to tell him and understood its importance at the correct time. However, he was not pleased about the situation his son was in but he knew that it was something that Frank had to do and that there was nothing that he could do about it.

In Frank's chest…were worth dying for.

"And that's what's important for every hero to understand. It's something that prepares them. It makes them stronger. I know that it may not be ideal but sacrifice is something that gives you a certain kind of peace, knowing that what you're dying for is saving others from going through the same fate." Ares explained, hoping that he'd chosen the correct words. He wanted everybody to understand just what the true meanings of duty and sacrifice were.

"Thanks, dad. I'm sorry…I'm sorry that I didn't understand before." Frank swallowed, his eyes watery. Ares smiled at him, the knot of pain in his chest, dissolving.

"You don't have to apologize, Frank. Stuff like this…its never simple to understand. It took all of us-" Ares said, gesturing to all the Olympians "-millennia to understand it. You had to understand within a span of days. Heck, its something that some people never understand. If anything, I'm proud of you both that you do." Ares said to both Frank and Clarisse.

"Hazel." He tried to…I know what I'm doing."

"That requires guts, Frank. To know that now your fate rests in your hands and still do what you did." Triton looked at Frank with respect.

"It really was something extremely ballsy." Percy nodded with a small smile. Frank cracked a smile at that.

Thanatos smiled and…a whole lot of pain."

"You tell him!" All the young gods cheered.

"Tell me that you guys delivered." Nico said with a small grinning forming on his face which turned into a full grin as Percy, Frank and Hazel winked at him.

The giant roared…famous Percy Jackson."

"Couldn't say the same." Percy muttered, making Triton snort in laughter.

The giant grinned…keep you as a pet

"Definitely not." Triton said, adding a whole lot of unflattering adjectives for the giant at the end. Amphitrite raised an eyebrow at him but did not chide him as she was thinking the same thing.

He thinks it will…favorite son on a leash.

"That's not happening. Not now. Not ever." Poseidon growled dangerously, his eyes flashing with the promise of violence at the mere thought of it. It scared a few people to see him like that but it was not like they disagreed.

"So, even the giants know that he's your favorite son." Triton commented, trying to not to let the violence that he felt towards Polybotes.

"Well, its not like its that big of a secret." Dionysus drawled.

"Yeah, well, no way, I'm giving a father's day card now." Triton muttered jokingly.

After that…plans for you."

"Flattered." Percy said sarcastically.

"Yeah, flattering…Camp Half-Blood."

The Camp Half Blood campers cheered and whooped.

"You bet!" Travis hooted. Percy grinned.

"Greek through and through." He said. "But I still love Rome." He added, making the Romans chuckle.

The ghosts stirred…gods at their source."

The gods scowled deeply.

"Nahhh."

"Definitely not."

"Aw hell nah."

The ghosts pounded…see our ultimate victory.

Frank, Percy and Hazel snorted at that.

"You're going to be the one who doesn't live long enough to see your ultimate loss." Frank stated with a smirk. The younger gods whooped and cheered.

"And that we can be sure of." Percy grinned.

I will replace…Death in my custody

"Oh that's not happening, you absolute son of a bitch." Nico snarled.

"I guess now we know what giants dream about." Hazel said with a roll of her eyes.

"Well, he can keep dreaming." Nico growled. Hades and Persephone looked at each other and then at Nico and Hazel, one in dangerous anger while the other with a calm yet lethal anger.

With Hazel Levesque…You're going down."

Everybody nodded vigorously.

"Nice name for him." Hades said to his nephew.

"Why, thank you." Percy said with a light chuckle.

"Wait." Hazel spurred…Why die again?"

"Maybe that's something that you should have asked yourself before you went against us." Hazel said, with a tilt of her head. Everybody looked at her in either surprise or pride.

"I think I'm so in love." Frank said, making everybody laugh lightly.

Hazel's eyes flashed…can you protect him?"

"If anybody can protect him against so many then it probably is Percy." Thalia said. Percy put a hand on his chest and bowed at that.

Percy gazed at the…She charged the giant.

Everybody, collectively, sucked in a breath. Hades closed his eyes as he squeezed Hazel's shoulder, mostly to reassure himself that she was there and was all right.

"Chapter's done." Hera said

"Well, that was short. I'll read." Thalia said.

FRANK XLVI

FRANK UNWRAPPED THE…through Frank's body.

Ares sighed as his body felt an uncomfortable warmth. He braced himself for the pain that would come with Frank practically burning his lifeline.

The icy metal began…Frank smiled for months.

Everybody winced. Ares flinched at both the thought as well as the pain. It was something that he couldn't describe. It wasn't as bad yet but barely anything had happened yet.

"I think the burning of the wood is not just going to cause physical pain but emotional as well." Castor sighed.

"It wasn't necessary emotional pain…it was memories that I had of my mom and though it hurt to revisit them, it was something that gave me strength to keep fighting." Frank explained.

He saw himself at…We need you.

Percy and Frank exchanged smiles.

He saw Percy…he have that power?

Everybody whistled. Poseidon looked at Percy with pride while the younger god smiled.

"That's just epic." Leo shook his head.

"Is it not tiresome?" Hermes said.

"After a while." Percy admitted. "I have to focus on the whirlwind as well as the fighting." He said.

He moved through the… grabbed the eagle.

The Romans and a few gods cheered loudly.

"You want it back…protect their eagle.

"Wow. Using something that they have grown up with against them. Manipulative but clever." Reyna nodded approvingly.

"It's the perfect thing to use against them because its something that never leaves a Roman…even after death." Dakota nodded in agreement.

Still, Percy couldn't…chain had melted

A few people flinched at that.

"Focus." Clarisse snapped. Frank grimaced. Clarisse sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Sorry." She said "I'm just stressed." She said. Frank gave her a small smile.

"Don't worry about it."

He moved his fire…Frank started to shiver.

Ares shuddered. He felt weakness crawl into his body. He did not like it.

More images flashed…their family mansion

Ares smiled at Frank.

"Good job." He said to him.

The third chain…danced in his eyes

Ares closed his eyes as he felt like he was going to pass out. Every muscle in his body hurt. It was as if he was burning up.

"Oh, that's not good." Apollo winced. "Continue reading." He said to Thalia.

He saw Percy at the…than a candy bar.

"At least its still there." Ares said as he took a deep breath.

"You good?" Apollo asked him and he nodded.

"Even a small wood is better than nothing." Artemis said.

Thanatos raised his…Thanatos said agreeably.

Everybody couldn't help but snort in amusement.

"He could help." Jason said with raised eyebrows.

"Technically, making sure that the dead stay dead is a huge help." Nico said. Jason face palmed and Nico gave a light chuckle.

"Percy!" Frank yelled…as well be bright."

Everybody stared at Frank before they all burst into applause. A few of the people who were sitting, stood up and applauded. Ares and Clarisse's faces shone with pride.

"That. Was. Brilliant." Lee grinned at Frank

"That's my motto from today." Leo said to him.

"I guess that's what Thanatos was trying to say." Frank said with a small smile towards Hades who returned it as he nodded.

"Indeed."

He took one step…crashing into the ramparts

Hades winced as he felt ichor trickle from his side.

"Hazel!" Frank glanced…about to be overwhelmed

The sea gang's eyes clouded with worry.

But Frank ran…raised his icy staff.

Poseidon and Demeter growled.

Frank was too far…Alcyoneus bellowed in pain.

Everybody broke into loud cheers.

"Holy shit." Connor whistled and grinned at Frank.

"I believe that I ought to thank you." Frank smiled at Poseidon. The god chuckled.

"I'm glad that you understood how to use it." He said to Frank.

He staggered backward…collapsed on top of him.

The cheers just got much louder.

"Okay. This shapeshifting stuff is just brilliant." Percy declared. Poseidon chuckled at his son.

"That was amazing." Jason grinned at Frank.

Frank sprang at the…features began to dent

Ares couldn't help but laugh. He high fived Frank.

"Make it flat!" Nico cheered. Frank laughed as well this time.

"I tried my best to do that." He said earnestly.

"Urgg," the giant…far as we can."

"You're taking him out of Alaska." Athena said as the realization hit her. Frank and Hazel nodded.

"That won't be that hard either especially with Arion." Demeter said, impressed.

"Frank can help as well." Clarisse said with a grin.

"Honestly, you're using the gift really well." Ares nodded at Frank with a smile and Frank blushed under all the praise.

"But Percy…crevices in the ice.

Hermes whistled.

"And weren't you just exhausted from the whirlwind?" he said. Exhaustion hit Poseidon just as his nephew said that.

"Well, it's a bit more now." The god said.

"Still though, to do that under exhaustion. Respect." Apollo said to Percy who gave him a small smile.

As the wave hit…over the edge.

"It's not going to affect him, is it?" Grover asked the king of the seas.

"No. He's falling into water so he's going to be all right." Poseidon smiled at the satyr.

"Yeah, its reminding me of St. Louis Arch." Grover grinned and Percy and Annabeth. Annabeth face palmed and Percy grinned sheepishly.

"Chapter's done." Thalia announced.

"I guess its my turn now." Amphitrite sighed.
