Chapter eight: The tournament rages on, part two

The fight between Izuku and Todoroki started with a burst if ice from the later, but the former had Full Cowling active and was able to dodge the attack with notable ease and grace. Green arcs of electricity danced about on Izuku's form as his first reverse roundhouse kick broke off a hunk of ice before the second reverse roundhouse kick sent that hunk of ice flying at Todoroki. But the son of Endeavor conjured a wall of ice to block the frozen projectile that had been sent flying his way. Todoroki was a bit surprised; he knew Izuku had to be good (he STILL suspected Izuku to be All Might's secret love child), but he didn't expect the green-haired boy to be thi-

*HUWUHBAM*

Todoroki's trail of thought was cut off when Izuku, using his enhanced speed he had with Full Cowling going, ran around, snuck up behind him, and rammed him in the back with his right knee. Todoroki stumbled a bit until he was turned to be facing Izuku, then Izuku rushed forward and shoulder rammed him hard enough to bust the ice wall behind him, crashing both Todoroki and himself through it. Todoroki was thrown back by the sheer force of the power Izuku was using. And from where the boy who has two-toned hair was seeing things, Izuku still looked perfectly fresh and ready to fight, while Todoroki himself had already taken some damage.

Todoroki was able to regain his bearings just in time to create a board of ice and hop on as he tried launching himself into the air with more ice. But Izuku broke the ice that Todoroki was trying to use to get airborne, and Todoroki had to create more ice after that just to get some distance from him. Todoroki was stunned; is this what the training one can get under the Symbol of Peace, Japan's number one hero All Might, can do for a person? Todoroki felt as if Izuku already could keep up in a fight with a good number of licensed pro heroes. Maybe not one in the top ten on the Hero Billboard Charts JP, but a good many other Japanese pro heroes wouldn't be able to win a one-v-one fight against Izuku Midoriya, at least as far as Todoroki was judging.

"...You're strong, Midoriya," Todoroki called out, "Easily one of the strongest in our year at UA. And yet I can't help but wonder if you still have more power to show."

"I don't have to wonder about that concerning you, Todoroki," Izuku said, "I know full well you have more power to show, you just haven't shown it yet."

Todoroki's eyes widened a bit in surprise. "...You mean that you want to see me use that man's power."

Gesturing to Todoroki, Izuku asked, "The power is inside of you, isn't it?"

The boy with two-toned hair looked confused but suspicious. "...Yes, bu-"

"Then it's not that man's power," Izuku said, "If it was, then it'd be his power. But the power is instead inside of you, which means it's your power! And I want to see you use it!" Izuku crouched into a position indicating he was planning to launch himself forward. "Because if you wanna beat me, then you have to use it!"

Todoroki's eyes narrowed. "...He paid you to try and get me to use his fi-"

*HUWUHBAM*

Todoroki was cut off when Izuku launched himself forward, with quick, spring-like speed, and shoulder rammed him right in the stomach. The son of Endeavor was sent tumbling back again, not stopping until his back hit a pile of ice from some shattered ice he had previously conjured. As soon as Todoroki was able to right himself, he saw that Izuku was standing up properly, arcs of green electricity still dancing on his form. Izuku still didn't look like he had been injured, and he had Todoroki, one of the two students in Class 1-A who got in on recommendation and another Class 1-A student considered to be very powerful, on the ropes.

"That power is yours, Todoroki," Izuku said, emphasizing the ownership of the supposed flames, "And I wanna see it."

...

Up in the bleachers, the Class 1-A boys aside from Izuku, Todoroki, Bakugo, Tokoyami, Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima were all seated together. "Dude, I thought that Todoroki was the strongest guy in our class, if not our entire year of the hero course," Sato remarked, "And yet Midoriya is throwing him around like a rag-doll."

"I can understand Bakugo and Tokoyami not joining us to watch the Midoriya-Todoroki fight," Ojiro said, "They're gonna fight one another after this. But where are Sero, Kirishima, and Kaminari?"

"They're psyching Bakugo up, getting him mentally prepped to try and beat Tokoyami," Shoji explained, "Although I wonder where the girls are."

"Ashido informed me when Shinso and I saw her gathering the girls that she and the girls were gonna do something to cheer on our classmates who made it this far into the fighting tournament," Tenya replied, "I believe Ashido is going to lead the others in making banners that say things to the effect of 'Go Midoriya' or 'Go Bakugo'."

Shinso nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that sounds like the most likely scenario."

...

Mina and the other Class 1-A girls were all dressed in identical cheerleader outfits that were mostly orange and white with some green. They even had matching pop-poms. "So... we're going to be cheerleaders for them, Mina," Jiro said dryly as she looked at her pink-skinned classmate.

"Well we're all cute girls, I figure we can pull being cheerleaders off," Mina said, "And these matching cheerleader uniforms will help us cheer on the boys still fighting in the tournament! By the way Yaoyorozu, thanks again for using your quirk to make a cheerleading outfit big enough to fit Uraraka."

"I'm actually amazed Yaoyorozu can use her quirk to make clothing," Hagakure commented.

"So long as I know the chemical composition of an item, I can make it with my quirk," Yaoyorozu explained, "And that reminds me. Asui, who did you say your little brother's favorite pro hero is again?"

"I actually never mentioned Samidare's favorite pro hero before kero," Tsuyu replied, "I mentioned my little sister Satsuki's favorite pro hero which is Mirko. Why do you ask, Yaoyorozu?"

"Well I was actually thinking of using my quirk to make a set of Russian nesting dolls in the likeness of your little brother's favorite pro hero," Yaoyorozu said, "As a gift for him when he's found. I can also make a similar set of Russian nesting dolls in Mirko's likeness as a gift for Satsuki if you'd like."

The frog girl was actually touched by the consideration that one of her classmates had for her still-missing little siblings, who went missing after their parents were both killed in the traffic accident caused by a villain Endeavor had fought. "That... that is really sweet of you, Yaoyorozu," Tsuyu said, "I'm sure Satsuki will like a set of Mirko nesting dolls. As for Samidare, he's going to want a set based on..."

...

"Ryukyu, I didn't expect to see you here!"

Ryuko Tatsuma, otherwise known as the Dragon Hero Ryukyu, turned her head as she spotted a tall, large, well-fed man with a scruffy mop of blonde hair on his head. He was carrying more than a few items from the concession area. Both the fat man and Ryuko were dressed casually.

"Oh, Taishiro," Ryuko said, "I wasn't expecting to see you here either."

"I have to wait until later for them to start the events for the third years," the now identified Taishiro remarked, "My intern Tamaki will be competing."

Ryuko nodded once in understanding. "As will my own intern be competing in the events for third years." Turning to look forward, the Dragon Hero went on, "And I just wanted to see how the first years were shaping up."

"You mind if I sit down next to you?" Taishiro asked, "I don't wanna have to stand too long."

"Oh, I don't mind at all," Ryuko said, gesturing for Taishiro to sit down next to her. After the large man sat down, Ryuko asked, "So how come you were so surprised to see me here?"

"I got it you were one of the many persons who were reported to be at the hospital because you weren't able to feel your quirk for some odd reason," Taishiro said, "Is it working fine now?"

Ryuko nodded once in the affirmative. "I wasn't quite sure what was wrong with me, and I also don't know how I woke up in the alleyway I was found in. At least someone with a special healing quirk of some kind was brought in and restored me." Gently shaking her head, Ryuko said, "I had no idea what was wrong with me, but I'm glad it was undone. Not being able to feel my quirk for some odd reason aside, I also felt hungry to the point I bet the appetite I had could rival yours."

Chuckling a bit in amusement, Taishiro said, "Heh, you wish. No one has as big of an appetite as me!"

"Oh really, Fatgum?" a female voice called out from behind Taishiro and Ryuko, "I think the fatty who got her fat ass kicked by the Boom-Boom Boy in round one of this tournament can pack a lot away as well!"

Ryuko and Taishiro turned their heads to see a mildly dark skinned woman with long white hair and long bunny ears shooting straight up taking an empty seat behind them. Like Taishiro and Ryuko, this woman was also dressed casually. "Oh, hello Rumi," Ryuko greeted, "Here to see how the first years are doing?"

"I just wanna see Endeavor's boy down there lose," the now identified Rumi, otherwise known as the pro hero Mirko, remarked, "I got a bet going with Hawks, who bet me that Endeavor's boy is gonna take first place in this tournament. I hope like hell either Green Bean down there or whoever wins between Boom-Boom Boy and Nevermore will kick the ass of Endeavor's boy, 'cause I got a million yen riding on it!"

"You and Hawks both bet each other a million yen on the outcome of the fighting tournament for first years in the UA Sports Festival?" Taishiro asked, looking mildly surprised in an unapproving manner.

Scoffing, Rumi replied, "Oh don't so high and mighty with me, Fatgum! I know you had bet on a tournament your introverted intern was in last year!"

"It was a friendly bet between me and Edgeshot, and the loser of the bet had to treat the winner to takoyaki," Taishiro pointed out, "There was no money involved."

"Is that why Edgeshot was crying last year?" Ryuko asked, "Because I remember that the Tamaki boy won first place for his ye-"

*THWOOM*

"Dudes!" Rumi exclaimed excitedly, "Endeavor's boy is busting out some fire now! I thought that he was nothing but ice!" Ryuko and Taishiro both turned their heads forward to look down into the arena, where the fight between Izuku and Todoroki was ongoing.

...

Down in the arena, the left side of Todoroki's body was alit with a mass of flames that burned upward, a stark contrast to the ice that was still coming off from Todoroki's right side. "So... so my fire..." Todoroki said, "...It's my own power, and not that man's."

"The fire is coming out from you, isn't it?" Izuku asked, smiling a bit. "Now then, we still got a fight to finish."

"Why did you make me use both sides of my quirk?" Todoroki asked, "You would of had an easier time winning if you let me go on using only the right half of ice, rather than also use the left half of fire."

"Let's just say it's part of what I feel being a pro hero is about," replied the green-haired boy. With Todoroki now using ice AND fire, the fight between him and Izuku resumed in earnest. Todoroki sent streams of both elemental attacks right at Izuku, but he was able to safely zoom out of the way. At one point, Izuku broke a trail of ice and sent ice hunks into some of the fire that Todoroki was pumping out, catching Todoroki off guard and surprising him into dropping the use of fire for a moment before he pushed more back out.

The fire he was pumping out, although it had some speed, didn't have as much speed as Todoroki would have liked. Did years of not using it cause metaphorical rust to form over the fire half of his quirk? Todoroki saw, as he was admittedly still on the losing end of his fight against Izuku, that he was going to have to shake the rust off of the fire half of his quirk if he were to become a truly powerful and skilled pro hero. Izuku stopped for a moment, small arcs of green electricity still dancing on his form as lines of red glowing power formed on the green-haired boy's body.

Izuku was displaying more power now, Todoroki realized. He had ALSO been holding back, but Todoroki realized that it was because he himself had admittedly been holding back by virture of not using his flames. Now that he was showing off what all power he had, Todoroki saw it that Izuku was returning the favor, escalating things as they escalated against him to try to keep pace. ...No, he wasn't trying to keep pace, he would be able to keep pace with just the power he was using before Todoroki had finally started busting out his flames.

Izuku was making sure he stayed well ahead of the rest of the pack.

Todoroki was shocked. Just how much power did Izuku possess exactly? Todoroki was steadily becoming less and less able to keep his cool. He was feeling he had to push out as much power as he could muster up to try and defeat Izuku, stand a chance of making it to the final round. He pulled his hands back, forced their respective sides of his quirk to charge up as much as possible, then when he felt they couldn't charge up anymore, he threw both hands forward, sending out blasting forces of ice and fire that flew right at Izuku.

It looked like he had cast an utterly massive energy beam attack, as if he were a member of a certain alien warrior race from a certain popular manga and anime series. Cementoss actually had to use his quirk to throw up some walls of cement due to the sheer destructive force Todoroki's quirk was dishing out right now, and those walls had barely kept things from getting worse, and only due to their thickness and sheer numbers. After Todoroki's attack ended, he was breathing hard out of complete and total exhaustion, trying to catch his breath.

It was as Todoroki was trying to catch his breath that Izuku, wholly uninjured, zoomed up from behind and struck him in the side with a standard roundhouse kick, using enough force to send the exhausted and unable to resist Todoroki flying off of what remained of the platform; Todoroki's Final Flash-esque attack had wrecked about half of the platform. "Shoto Todoroki has been knocked out of bounds!" Nemuri called out as she cracked her whip, "Izuku Midoriya advances to the final round!"

The audience went wild with cheering, not only because they were cheering for Izuku who had won, but because of the sheer level of power that had been displayed in the match between Izuku and Todoroki just now. Many in the audience were amazed with Todoroki even though he lost; the level of power he, a first year at UA, had just displayed was a level many a pro hero would never be able to know for themselves. Todoroki's power, as far as the audience was concerned, was a testament to what all genes he had inherited from his father.

And that's what made them all the more excited for Izuku; he defeated someone with incredible pedigree, and without any apparent physical injury. Granted, Izuku did look like he needed to catch his breath for a bit, but once he rested off the fatigue he'll be good to go again. Due to how Izuku not only defeated Todoroki but as easily as he had done so, many in the audience were already calling it that Izuku Midoriya was going to be winning the fighting tournament for first years here in the UA Sports Festival. Some pro heroes watching in the audience were already deciding to send internship offers to Izuku, they were that impressed.

But the tournament still had a few matches left before last call.

Todoroki was resting up in an infirmary room as he was tended to by Recovery Girl. Aside from fatigue and burns from both frostbite and fire burn marks (Recovery Girl already treated all the burns), Todoroki was fine. He was sitting up on the side of the hospital bed he had been laying in as the door leading into the room he was in opened from the outside, and in walked Izuku, the boy who defeated him. Izuku was accompanied by Tenya and Shinso, who Todoroki saw with Izuku before they had their fated match earlier.

"Umm... no hard feelings, Todoroki?" Izuku said, sounding a bit unsure as to how to proceed with things here.

"The teachers were a bit surprised with what all power you had pumped out," Shinso remarked, "Aizawa-sensei remarked that Cementoss was grumbling a bit out of annoyance due to having to fix the damage you caused to the platform. It's why the match between Bakugo and Tokoyami had been delayed."

Todoroki gave a single nod of acknowledgement. "I see." Turning to look at Izuku, Todoroki said, "I have to admit Midoriya, you're stronger than what I was expecting, even after all of the times you made me raise my expectations of you."

"Heh heh," Izuku chuckled, "Well it's not just you who was wanting to win. Literally everyone who was and still is in the tournament wants to win."

Giving a bemused hmph, Tenya said, "I think all that the Hatsume girl I fought wanted was to use me publicly as something of a test dummy to show off her inventions to get offers that would help her with her going through the support course."

Shinso was about to speak up, but got cut off when the amused voice of Rumi called out, "Hot damn, Broccoli Top! You gave Endeavor's boy one hell of a whooping!" That call made the boys all turn to see Rumi come walking into the room to greet the boys.

"You're Rumi Usagiyama!" Izuku said, "The Rabbit Hero Mirko!"

"In the flesh, Green Bean," Rumi said. Gesturing to Izuku and Todoroki, Rumi said, "You boys ought to be ready, because due to the awesome match you had against one another, you can expect to see internship offers come rolling in after the tournament. You especially Forest Mop." Pointing at Izuku, Rumi went on, "Give how you've scored a win against the flesh and blood of Japan's number two hero, you're going to be especially popular with pro heroes fishing for interns. Even if you lose the final round match between whoever wins the match between Boom-Boom Boy and Nevermore! Hell, I myself am contemplating sending you an internship offer!"

Hearing that got a surprised look out of Shinso. "...You're infamous for never employing any interns, Mirko. You're saying that Midoriya has impressed you that much?"

Waving a hand, Rumi replied, "I'm still considering it, it's not set in stone yet. But Moss Head has proven to be one hell of a firecracker." The Rabbit Hero then turned around to leave, but before going she said, "By the way Emerald Isle, because you won against Endeavor's Baby, I won a million yen bet against Hawks. Thanks for the assist in helping me to make some bank." Rumi then took off, leaving the boys be.

After the highly ranked female pro hero had taken off, Tenya said, "Did she just admit to having gambled on a match in the tournament?"

"I don't think it's too much of an issue," Shinso replied, "But anyway, Todoroki if you're rested up enough, you ought to join us for watching the Bakugo versus Tokoyami fight as soon as the fighting platform is repaired."

Todoroki had a look in his eyes that suggested he wasn't exactly fond of how Rumi had reminded him that Endeavor is his father. But the boy with two-toned hair was able to put that to the side so that he could express some genuine surprise. "...You would want me to join you to watch the tournament?"

Izuku held a hand out to Todoroki, offering him a sincere smile. "...Having more company would never hurt." Todoroki would have been suspicious, but for reasons that escaped him he could tell full well that Midoriya was being sincere, the green-haired boy had no ulterior motive. He, as well as Shinso and Tenya, were simply wanting him to join them to watch a show. Todoroki got up from where he sat on his own, stood on his feet. After hand, he took Izuku's outheld hand with his own and shook hands with him, surprising Izuku.

"Strong and humble," Todoroki said, "Are you sure you aren't All Might's secret love child?" Izuku looked surprised, and Tenya was looking to chew Todoroki out again, but Shinso let out a bark of amused laughter, which eventually got Izuku and Tenya to settle down, and Izuku himself even chuckled along a bit.

It gave Izuku a feeling that things were going to be alright.

Later on, the match between Bakugo and Tokoyami was held, and it ended in a win for Bakugo. The light produced by Bakugo's explosions seemed to have an effect on Dark Shadow that made it slink back out of fear eventually; the light produced by the explosions and not the explosions themselves. Additionally, Bakugo had an easier time inflicting damage on Tokoyami than he did on Ochaco or Kirishima. Kirishima had a strong and well-toned build and his quirk let him harden the whole of his body like stone, and Ochaco's notable plumpness had reduced some of the impact of Bakugo's blasts on her.

As for Tokoyami, his slender build with nothing to add additional resistance to damage made him go down quicker. Granted, he was harder to hit than Kirishima due to being evasive, but some quick bursting AOE attacks from Bakugo tripped Tokoyami up, letting Bakugo catch up and move in to pin him down, at which point Tokoyami yielded the match to Bakugo. Although he won against Tokoyami, Bakugo had a look in his eyes that his win here helped to solidify what he had realized about himself earlier, that what he felt about where he had to improve on had just been justified. Bakugo was not one to ever want to fall behind others.

There was an intermission to allow for things to get ready for the final match of the fighting tournament for first years in the UA Sports Festival, and during said intermission Mina wearing a cheerleading outfit found Izuku, Bakugo, and their respective groups and led them to see where the rest of the girls were at. To the surprise of the boys, the girls were all wearing cheerleading outfits that looked much the same as the one Mina wore. "The fuck?" Bakugo said more out of surprise, "Kaminari, did you have something to do with Pinky and the other girls wearing cheerleading outfits?"

"This is actually my first time seeing any of this, Bakugo," Kaminari admitted.

"Yeah, this was something that I had come up with," Mina explained, "I figured that the girls and I ought to cheer on our classmates who made it far enough into the tournament, although we only got ready in time to cheer during the match you and Midoriya are going to have, Bakugo."

Gesturing to the boys, Hagakure said, "So be honest, what do you boys think?"

"That I'm impressed you girls are giving an honest, sincere effort to be supportive towards Baku-bro and Midori-bro in the final round of the tournament," Kirishima said, "What you girls are wanting to do to support others is hella manly in my opinion."

Arching a wry eyebrow in confusion, Jiro said, "But... we're girls. How can we be-"

"Kirishima saying that it's manly is his way of saying what you girls are doing to support others is praiseworthy," Kaminari explained.

The red-haired boy nodded in confirmation. "You don't need to be a man to be manly."

Mina chuckled a bit in amusement. "Yeah, that's one-hundred percent pure Kirishima-brand attitude right there."

"Also," Shinso spoke up, "It's probably a good thing you girls are doing this now, rather than if that Mineta fellow I was told about was still attending UA."

"Oh shoot," Mina said, "I forgot that Mineta was our classmate a while ago." Shuddering a bit, Mina said, "Yeah, thanks for reminding me. This cheerleading idea would have been a bad idea if Mineta were still a part of class, he'd of said or done something to creep us girls out by now."

"But us girls know that you boys aren't inappropriate like that," Yaoyorozu said, "Oh, I'm kind of curious about this, but out of us six girls, who do you boys think looks the best dressed up like this?"

Kaminari looked over all the girls before he pointed at Jiro and said, "Yeah, Imma have to give the title of cutest cheerleader to Jiro here." Turning to look at the other guys as Jiro blushed out of embarrassed surprise, Kaminari said, "You guys agree with me, right?"

"I think that they all look equally respectable," Tenya stated.

Shrugging, Bakugo said, "I honestly couldn't care less about assigning a winner in that category."

"Imma have to give things here to Mina," Sero said, "Especially as this whole idea was hers in the first place."

"I just hope the girls won't get into any sort of trouble for deciding to do this," Shinso remarked.

"Yeah, I kind of have to side with Sero here," Kirishima said, "Mina's got the most manly mojo flowing right now."

Pumping a fist into the air, Mina cheered, "Woot! I'm in the lead!"

"I... honestly think that all of you girls are doing well," Todoroki said, "But if forced to pick one, I'd have to give it to Yaoyorozu."

Izuku, looked very much embarrassed, said, "I, umm, well, I think that Ochaco is doing the best here." Ochaco, hearing that Izuku had picked her as the best out of the girls dressed as cheerleaders, lit up red like a tomato out of embarrassment. She was actually rather surprised that Izuku had picked her, especially considering how she couldn't deny her size.

The brown-haired girl was about to speak up, but got cut off by Mina cheering, "I still got the most votes! That means I'm the winner!"

Kirishima looked like he was about to speak up, but stopped short when an announcement went out over the intercom asking for Izuku and Bakugo to come down to the arena and get ready to fight. The two boys were wished the best of luck as they left, and the girls went off after them, so that they could get ready for their role of being cheerleaders to cheer on Izuku and Bakugo while they fought one another in their match. The other boys that were there went to the audience to sit down with the rest of their class.

Izuku and Bakugo eventually got out onto the platform, which had a large area of itself clearly made from a material other than the original white stone of the platform; it looked like grayish clay was used to patch up a tile. Obviously Cementoss had to do a rush job at patching up the platform for the remainder of the matches in the fighting tournament for the first years in the UA Sports Festival. Izuku and Bakugo were both ready to give it their all, and the Class 1-A girls were off to the side as Mina led them through a cheerleading routine.

Izuku was surprised that he had made it as far as he did; he had thought that he wouldn't of made it past round two, but here he stood, facing off against Bakugo in the final round. And that was another thing; Izuku was facing Bakugo. Bakugo had always been rougher towards Izuku than what was necessary as they grew up, and the green-haired boy felt things there could have gotten worse were it not for the various efforts All Might put into play to prevent harassment and bullying and the like. But those efforts were in place, and Bakugo's rough edges had been smoothed out some.

...Some, but not entirely. Bakugo still had some roughness to him, still had a bit of attitude. And what all in those departments Bakugo had left was coming out in full force here. Izuku always knew that Bakugo was bound to become one of the greatest, strongest pro heroes that Japan had ever seen. And with a powerful quirk like the one Bakugo was born with, why wouldn't the explosive teen be destined to become one of the greats? He still had a few bits here and there to work on, but Bakugo was bound to overcome them.

He would overcome them, and go on to become a great pro hero with the awesome quirk he had been born with. Izuku, on the other hand, had been naturally born as quirkless but was bestowed a quirk by his step-dad Toshinori, who was actually the number one hero All Might. Izuku was now working with a quirk, his step-da... no, his dad's quirk. That was all the more reason for Izuku to do his best to win; he had been entrusted with a great and awesome power by his dad, and he was wanting to show that he was worthy of said power.

It wasn't just Toshinori who Izuku wanted to do proud. There were all of the other persons in Izuku's life who had his back, not to mention how he was wanting to impress the girl he had fallen in love with. He was able to spare a glance at where the six girls of Class 1-A were going through their cheerleading routine as the match between Izuku and Bakugo started up. Iuzku saw her, the girl who had stolen his heart, dancing along with the other five girls. It made him a bit nervous that some of her cheering was meant for him.

But he had to put his nervousness to the side, as Nemuri had just declared the match between Izuku and Bakugo to begin. Bakugo rushed forward with a burst from his Explosion quirk, aiming to strike Izuku with his signature opening right hook. Seeing this, Izuku turned on Full Cowling, caught Bakugo's right fist with a grip...

END, CHAPTER EIGHT

Author's notes;

This chapter covers the rest of the Izuku versus Todoroki fight, and here Izuku wins, mainly due to how he is vastly more trained and experienced in using One For All than he would have been normally. The match between Izuku and Todoroki became the talk of the tournament, and Mirko personally visits Izuku and Todoroki to warn them that they ought to expect to see loads of internship offers, regardless of how far from that point moving forward Izuku makes it into the tournament, as well as not caring that Todoroki had lost. It goes without saying that Toshinori is going to be proud of Izuku, but Endeavor may not be as thrilled with the fight's outcome.

The chapter ends with the beginning of the match between Izuku and Bakugo, which will be covered during the next chapter along with some post-Sports Festival bits. The internships ought to be starting up soon, and things will be different as Tensei isn't hurt.
