[3rd person POV]
As Sasuke lead Naruto out of the fifth hokages office, he couldn't help but notice Jiriya standing outside the doors. Naruto looked at him, got free from Sasuke, and ran up to him.
"Percy Sage!!! I thought you were out getting your "research"." Naruto said, doing air quotes with his fingers.
Jiriya just stood there. It was like he didn't even notice the small boy in front of him. Instead, he was focused on the other boy in front of him, Sasuke. You see, Jiriya wasn't aware of his return so he's kinda shocked right now.
"Well, well" said Jiriya, "I see that Naruto must've completed a mission of your back in town."
"It wasn't Naruto. I came back myself." Sasuke said. He scoffed then rolled his eyes while crossing his arms.
"Come on pervy sage! I'm here too." Naruto said basically jumping in his face.
"Oh, hey Naruto. I didn't see you there." Jiriya responded rubbing the back of his neck. Naruto was baffled.
"Oh ok I see how it is. I stayed here training my butt of while you were gone and you come back here and don't even recognize m-" Naruto babbled before Jiriya put his hand on Naruto mouth.
"Jeez… if I had known you would be this worked up I would've just waited to see you."
"Are you don't yet?" Sasuke interrupted. He was getting pissed off and wanted to have some alone time with Naruto before he had to go on some stupid mission. Jiriya just stood there again. Then, he let go of Naruto and the two of them left.
Jiriya could tell that there was more to Sasuke's return than Naruto. It was just to random for him. Especially the rumors of Sasuke killing Orochimaru.
