Every high school drama has a set of mean girls. And this story is no exceptions, yes, Ursula and her gaggle of witches grace us with their beauty (sarcasm heavily implied) and talents. What is she gonna do to Dawn? How will Dawn respond to her not so witty barbs?

I don't own the characters (unless they are OCs) and places mentioned in this story they are all owned by Satoshi Tajiri and Co. Any and all literary references or songs used are the work of the specified artist/author/composer.

The Witches. A fitting name for the group of mean girls who approached the popular group's table. Ursula Yates was a girl with black hair, green eyes, and puffed up cheeks. Though her personality could be a little bit better, okay... a lot better. Her posse of three others thought the best of her of course, but then again they were mislead to believe she was a gift from some Devine being to mankind, so she has that going on in her head. In reality everyone in school hated her and her group as much as they hated Paul's band of misfits.

The girl spoke her voice causing the group to cringe, "Oh hello Dawn! I see you've found your way into this prestigious school."

"What do you want Yates? I mean isn't it enough that you harass me during Pokemon Contests, you've got to do it here as well?" Dawn responds with a bank face.

Giselle, Miette, and Carrie scowled at her for her response. Ursula's eyes narrowed.

Said head Witch then laughed, "Ha! Your win in Jonto was a fluke, that's all it was. I've got more skills then you any day."

"That's not what Ash thought. Go back to the cave you live in Yates, you and your gaggle of witches should really try putting lesser make up on your faces." Leaf says flipping the finger at the group.

Giselle tried to cozy up to Gary, "You should come with me Gary. These these people are total losers, you can hang with us."

"No thank you! I'd rather hang out with real people then fake Barbies like you lot." Gary says pushing away the clingy girl.

Serena then stands, "I will not let you disrespect new students and our group on my watch."

"What has this.. this ugly blue haired clown done to earn your attention? Last time I checked she's the new girl." Demanded Carrie.

May's temper blew out of the water, "She's a sweet, kindhearted, and well mannered girl. She had done nothing to deserve such treatment from anyone here! Like you said she's new, maybe you should check your facts first, Carrie."

"She's just here because her mom is an honored Top Coordinator. She's getting special treatment." Ursula says smirking.

Dawn stood her anger boiling, "Don't you dare bring my mother into this! You've been a bitch to me since day one when we first entered the circuit in Jonto. You say I've got no talent but who beat you in the battle rounds that time? Oh right.. I did!"

"That's right Dawn give it to her!" Zoey and Kenny cheered their friend on.

Ursula let her rage win out and slapped Dawn causing the blue haired girl to stagger back. Leaf and Serena stood to protect their friend but Dawn stopped them and laughed it off.

"Oh come on, is that all you've got Yates? That was a light tap compared to what I gave Paul moments ago in the hall." Dawn says goading the black haired girl even more.

Ursula advanced her rage overflowing, it was seen in her eyes. She lifted her hand ready to deliver another hit but then a hand grabbed her wrist and a tall figure shielded Dawn. Dawn looked at the group, they all shared smiles. Then she hears his voice.

"Now Miss Yates. While I usually tolerate your snooty behavior, I will not tolerate you hitting another student. Do I make myself clear!" His beep booming voice rang through the space.

Ursula shook but still tried to defend herself, "B-but she started it! She insulted me and my talents as a coordinator."

"Really now. Because from where Drew and I were standing and based on what we heard, you insulted her first. She was just returning the favor, weren't you Ms. Berlitz?" He drawled unimpressed with Ursula's response

He turned to the side and looked at her. Her breath hitched; those familiar brown eyes, his messy black hair, and that boyish grin she has missed so much. It was Ash! Her Ash. Ash had let go of Ursula's wrist and offered his hand to her, to which she readily accepted. He pulled her up beside him, giving her a raised brow indicating that he was waiting for her answer.

She giggled and nodded, "Yes I was Mr. Ketchum. And the witnesses can vouch for my actions."

"No need to worry about that. What I saw myself for was enough." Ash says smiling.

Gary laughed, "Enough sass to last a decade. Kenny was right about that, Dawn I'd hate to be the one on the receiving end of your sharp wit."

"She'll fit into our group just fine." Noted Leaf with huge grin.

Drew who was chuckling as he sat beside May said, "I swear you girls are scarier then our mothers most times. But just as well, you keep our heads straight."

"You got that right!" Serena exclaimed.

Miette stomped her foot impatiently, "Ugh... we're still here you know."

"But Ash, what does she have that I don't?! She just got here, she doesn't even know you like we do." Ursula says whining like a five year who didn't get the new toy she wanted.

Ash glared at the girl, Dawn who was still holding his hand moved hers up to his wrist, where she saw an arm band, she felt under it and gasped. She moved the band and tears threatened to spill as she saw the Pikachu charm bracelet that she had given him all those years ago. She held it feeling him relax.

He took a breath, "She knows me better the most of the people in this school Ms. Yates. She's known me since we were kids, before I became a league Champion. One thing that people don't know about my win in Jonto is that... I had secretly dedicated my victory to Dawn after I saw her win the Ribbon Cup prior to the league conference." Ash admitted giving Dawn a glance.

She gasped at hearing this she turned him towards her and looked into his eyes, seeing the truth of his statement. Her heart was beating fast, she had done the same thing during her final battle in the Grand Festival, she had held onto the Piplup charm he had given her as she gave her starter (which was Indeed a Piplup) the last command that made them win it all. He smiled, his head indicating to the outside she nods holding onto his hand once more as they walked out of the now silent cafeteria.

Ursula was glaring at Dawn's retreating back. Serena noticed this and stood in front of the Witches.

"Ms. Yates. While we may tolerate your snooty behavior, we however draw a line at mistreating new students." Serena says with a cold gaze.

Her kind aura turned imposing, her anger showing. Leaf, Gary, and Richie shared looks of satisfaction. While May, Kenny, Zoey, and Drew were awed by her sudden change of demeanor. For the gaggle of mean girls, they were shaking in their fake Parada and Louis Vuitton boots.

"B-but she doesn't belong in this group. Your group of elites." Miette tries to reason glaring at Serena in jealousy.

Serena's eyes narrowed further, "Who are you to say she doesn't belong with us? Last I checked you were the ones who are not a part of our group. And you never will be."

"What does she have that we don't?" Asked Ursula definitely.

Gary then decided to get a jab in, "Well Ash for one."

"Well she is beautiful. She has a great personality, she's honest, her sass is astounding, and so much more. Need I go on?" Listed Zoey rolling her eyes.

Leaf then added, "Her talents are astounding. And Serena, Gary, and I have known her since we were kids. We know who she really is."

"I may not know her that well. I've only met her one other time, but even I can see she is a real down to earth person. Better then you will ever be." May adds her hands on her waist.

They had no come back for these statements, so like the brats that they were they walked out pouting like children who didn't get their candy fix. The group breathed sighs of relief as Serena sat back down.

"Shall we call them back inside?" Asked Richie facing the window looking towards the gardens.

Leaf shook her head smiling, "Nah. Let them have their moment."

Meanwhile outside, the pair of teens look towards each other eyes filled with wonder and joy. Dawn threw herself at Ash, who caught her and spun them around, their mirthful laughter reverberated through the gardens. He placed her down and pulled her close, his head going on hers. She clutched at the back of his varsity jacket, tears of joy running down her face.

"Oh Ash. It's so great to see you again." She says pulling away slightly from the hug once again looking into his eyes.

He grins at her, "When I heard you were here I couldn't contain myself. I ran from the faculty room and straight to the Cafeteria."

"We ran into some trouble with Paul and his gang before we got to the Cafeteria." Dawn admits not wanting to lie to him.

He growled as his arms tightened around her, "What did he do? Are you alright Dawnie?"

Dawn ran her hand through his raven hair, "I'm alright Ash, no need to worry."

"That's when I worry the most." He responds softly.

They stood that way. Hugging each other close, Dawn still running her hand through his hair. Two best friends reunited, never to be pulled apart again.

I've really missed you. Ran through their thoughts.

And that's part four. I absolutely adhore Ursula's character, and she is still Dawn's rival on the Contest Circuit. Enter Ash! I hope this reunion played out to your liking people.
