Awakening

The only question Lily and Sev had about sleeping together was where to do it. They stayed in the living room talking about it and he said, "Although we know very well that your parents expect us to do it, we must keep up appearances, because of how your Mum has told me about the guest room and waking up alone tomorrow."

"Yeah… but I want to do it in my room. It is the first night that we are going to sleep together and I want to have that memory there," she replied.

"Lily, it is safer to do it in the guest room, which is the one that is isolated, your room faces wall to wall with your sister's." Besides, since Violet told me Peter's secret, I think that if I had really been their son, that would have been my bedroom, Sev thought. "And someone is less likely to call there in the morning than yours," he added.

"Sev, no one are going to call."

"Yeah. Look, your mother has invited mine to dinner again on Sunday, surely they will invite me to sleep again that day or on Saturday, when we return from the excursion. Let's try the guest room today, and depending on how things go, next night we'll sleep at the Princess Haven, okay?"

"Okay, Sev. You are the security specialist."

Sev thought, I also understand why Violet and Peter have made that decision.Because of what has happened with Petunia. I have turned the tables, I have gone from being another source of conflict to becoming the catalyst for the possible reconciliation of the sisters.

And Petunia herself has been touched when she has realized that Lily and I can't be together all the time in the wizarding school, before even knowing that now we have to meet on the sly. She loves her sister even though she harasses her.

So my presence in the house is justified for two good reasons, that we spend more time together, not stealing it from the study, and that I continue to exert a beneficial influence on both of them, since Lily's wound is so old and deep that it won't be easy to heal completely. I am not going to explain all this to her, but I am going to try to predispose her in her favor.

"Be aware that they invited me thanks to what happened with your sister, so in a way we owe it to her."

"What has happened with my sister has been thanks to you and your Mum, so we don't owe her anything, it's a prize they give you for having done so well."

Ugh... she's still very hurt today, and also, tired, it's better to leave the rest of the explanations for another day.

They went up to the guest room, which was smaller and had a bigger bed than Lily's, so there was little space left, it was meant only for sleeping. She told him, "Only my grandparents have occupied it, when they were alive and visited us. They all died when I was still little, before I met you, that's why I've never told you about them."

And I haven't bothered to know either.I don't even know if Violet and Peter have siblings, he thought.

As they got ready for bed, Sev asked her, "Tell me your family's history."

"Ugh… it's pretty tough, I don't know if you're going to feel good."

"It doesn't matter, I want to know."

They got into bed, naked and holding each other. Lily began, "My parents are younger than your Mum, born in '35. They both lived in London and lived through the World War as children, including the German bombings, and not only that, both my grandparents were combatants in it. Dad's father died in it."

Oh… So Peter is a war orphan, which is why he identifies with me.He too went through the alchemist's crucible, Sev thought. "And does he have some siblings?"

"He hasn't. My paternal grandparents decided not to have any more children given the growing tension in Europe during those years, and they did well, because in the end my grandmother was left alone with my father and she had to support him as best she could, with the widow's pension. This way he was able to continue studying, and when he was old enough, he also began to work while he continued to study, and managed to obtain a college carreer."

"Buah… your Dad is quite a fighter," he said.

"Of course, that's why he spoke to you like that the other day. He knows what he says."

"And your Mum's family?"

"My other grandfather did survive the war, but Mum lost a little sister during it, the victim of an illness, and they suffered so much that they decided not to have any more children," Lily answered. "Later, when they were married, they came to live in Cokeworth, to forget all that reminded them of the war."

So both Violet and Peter went through some pretty rough childhoods, and they both pulled through, which is why they're such strong, understanding people. And for Violet it must be a drama to see her daughters quarreling, having lost her little sister and not having any more, Sev thought.

And aside from all that, Lily and Petunia don't have any other direct blood relatives. When Peter and Violet are gone, the only close relative their daughters will have is each other.Buf... I'm going to tell her, maybe she hasn't even realized it. "Do you realize that your sister is the only family you will have when your parents are gone? Don't panic, but imagine for a moment that you also have children and that something bad happens to both your parents and you. Who would take care of them? If Petunia didn't, they'd end up in an orphanage, just like Ariel, and don't forget they'd be witches."

"Buah... You're right, I've never stopped to think about it. Because you don't have grandparents, uncles or siblings either."

Lily thought, He does have a brother, but he is also on his way to being a warrior, who knows if he will survive, just like us.It is clear that we must not have children until we finish off Voldemort. And if the situation goes on, of course I have to count on my sister, my parents and she will be safe in the Muggle world and could raise them if something happened to us, because who knows if we could trust Eileen for that.

Despite the worrying conversation, Lily was very tired, she was an easy sleeper and she was in the position in which she usually slept, hugging Sev, as she had imagined so many times that she did with a pillow, and she fell asleep almost instantly.

However, for him, it was the complete opposite. His tendency was to lose sleep easily with any concern, although lately he had gotten the hang of it to some degree, and besides he used to sleep on his stomach, wand in hand under the pillow.

So, because of Lily's last comment, he was left for a long time thinking about his own family, which he didn't know anything about either. Mum surely does have relatives, but I can forget about those, staunch purebloods who disowned her for marrying a Muggle.

And what happened to my father's family? I don't even know his exact age. A little older than Mum, perhaps. In that case, he too lived through the World War as a teenager, narrowly escaping being called up, and probably losing his family in it.

For the first time in my life I am aware that my father must have very deep wounds that he never healed. Perhaps he was happy with Mum during their time alone, and he would have wanted children, while she hid her witchhood from him and avoided doing so.

And the disappointment that he must have taken when I manifested my magic. Also, when I think about it, I don't look like my father at all, he's light-haired and light-eyed and has much stronger complexion. Maybe when it revealed that I was a wizard, he thought I wasn't his son. Maybe even since I was born. More than likely, if after so many years of sterile marriage, Mum had finally gotten pregnant.

I certainly don't think it was like that. My dark hair and eyes are dominant over the light ones, and I can't get it in my head that Mum was unfaithful to my father, otherwise she wouldn't have put up with him for a decade and a half.

I'd like to know all this for sure, but how can I ask Mum without hurting her? It seems lazy on my part not to have been interested in these matters before, at least I should have known the story of my father when he was young.

At this point I realize how ignorant I am. With my dislike for Muggles, I have neglected to know the history of most of the world in which I live, also missing out on my own origins and identity. I am like a tree without roots.

I understand myself more deeply. Without roots, I have let myself be carried away by the ravages of life. I had no political convictions or ideals other than getting to be an extraordinary wizard. That's why I became willing to join Voldemort.

It would have been enough for me to take Muggle Studies at school to get interested in it and ask myself a lot of questions, but of course, in the third year I always hung out with the purebloods and none of them did.

Mum did not suffer at all from the World War, since it took her almost entirely during her years of study and her family is originally from a magical town far from London, but she must know a lot, because of my father, since they met and married as soon as she left Hogwarts, barely three years after the end of it.

I must solve this deficiency as soon as possible, even if I do not do it in depth, at least to know what is happening in the world in which I live. Lily barely knows anything either. She doesn't usually watch TV or listen to the radio, but Peter and Violet do, and Mum deals with a lot of Muggle people because of her work.

So I'll start by asking her, because with Lily's parents I fell embarrassed to admit how ignorant I am. It will also be a subtle way to get her to talk about my father.

They had decided not to set the alarm clock, because they wanted, for once, to wake up by themselves, so they left the curtain open a little, to let in the morning light.

Lily woke up before Sev, it was nine. Her parents would probably be up by now, but she knew for sure that they wouldn't go upstairs lest they put them in the bind of catching them leaving the same bedroom.

So she stayed hugging him, letting him sleep, because she was sure that he would have been slow to do so, because of the serious conversation they had just before she fell asleep.

She devoted herself to contemplating him, remembering that trip on the Express when she seemed to discover him for the first time. Sev wasn't handsome in the conventional way, his features were very hard, but in sleep his expression softened and reflected the beauty he had hidden inside of him until recently.

She wasn't at all surprised that Parkinson was in love with him, and that even Tuney had been seduced by his interest in her. It is not that until now she had not valued him, but she was aware of how desirable he could be to other girls and how lucky she was that he had fallen in love with her as a child, because if it had not been that way, surely he would never have noticed her.

He surely would have formed a couple with Parkinson for a long time, for as she had already thought the day before, the pure-blood girl had everything he admired. She hugged him tighter, grateful to be able to have him like this, and she kissed his skin, breathing in his scent, more intense than in the mornings when he had just taken a shower.

She wanted him and began to caress him, running over him with her eyes closed, to memorize each shape of his body and keep it until the summer. When she reached his belly she inadvertently brushed against his hardness. Asleep! And then he says that we girls are weird.Maybe he is feeling me caressing him and he is dreaming… booah… if he wakes up like this, I am going to give him a good surprise.

She got out of bed, put on her dressing gown, and went to the bathroom. She returned and lay next to him again, stroking a hand over each, until she was on the edge, gasping.

Sev opened his eyes dreamily and looked at her with desire. She intensified the caress. "Go up," he ordered. She straddled him. "Put yourself as you like."

She obeyed him. She was almost ready, but she let be carried, he knew exactly how to do it, he held her with all his might by her hips, and she come before he did.

She's already come, but I'm not going to stop, she's betrayed me and yesterday she made me bleed, she's going to find out what's good,' Sev thought and continued, with an evil grimace, accelerating the pace. "You asked for it, for playing without permission," with a reproachful tone.

But this newfound domineering and selfish attitude of his, instead of displeasing her, turned her on even more and she knew that if he held out long enough, she would come a second time like the other morning.

He thought, She still likes it... well... But I'm not going to wait for her, if she doesn't come again I don't care, she would take advantage of me. He kept moving her to his rhythm, caring only for his own pleasure, and when he was about, to provoke more himself, he said to her, "The day I give it to you, you will find out what is good."

Wooow… She felt him explode and slow down moaning, looking into her eyes with an expression she'd never seen from him. He feels powerful, he has used me… and I like it. She imagined him inside her to come as well. She did, and she slumped against him, exhausted.

Myshe got away with it.She owes me one, I'll keep this one for myself, Sev thought. It didn't take long for him to ask, "What? Double again?"

She nodded.

"But today you have cheated, you have taken advantage of me and I have lasted because I needed to go to the bathroom," he continued. "You have done it treacherously and you have been lucky. I'm going to stop being so considerate with you, I see that you like it rough."

Yes, please... Lily thought.

"Come on, get off of me, I have to get out." As Sev dressed in his pajamas and dressing gown, she looked at him ecstatically. There really is a very dark side to him, that I'm hopelessly attracted to it, which means that, in a way, I have it too. She remembered that he had come to think of joining Voldemort and how little it took him to achieve the intent to cast curses.

Although he hadn't told her about it, he probably must have taught the Guard and Remus as well - that first afternoon or one of the mornings when she, Cecile and the other two fifth-year Sly girls weren't around – every curses he knew, which must have been many, because of the Dark Arts books he had in the Haven, including the Unforgivables, and that must be one more reason why they accepted him. Rightfully he had never told her about the acromantulas, because they must have practiced them with them, risking their lives. And surely, he had done it alone long before that.

And then they say that the Slys are not brave.Well, at least that way he's channeling it for a good purpose, and if I also now allow him to show it with me as well, he won't be tempted to take the wrong path again. She stayed in bed, waiting for him, to spend some time holding each other as always after.

But he came back in a very different mood, he almost snapped to her, "Lily, what are you still doing like this? It's almost ten o'clock, your parents are already downstairs. We have to clean up and have breakfast, we hardly have time to do anything, and we're very behind."

"But if we have all day…"

He was already preparing his clothes to go down to shower. "No, this afternoon I'm going to stay with Mum. She's free today, and tomorrow we're going to spend the whole day outside. If they let you, come for tea and we'll take a walk, since it's not raining."

What a disappointment, Lily thought. The first night we spent together and waking up like this. I shouldn't have done what I did, it seems that I hurt him. "Sev, come here for a moment…"

He looked at her and thought, She's sad, I've gone too far. He completely changed his tone. "What do you want, Lily?"

"Forgive me for waking you up like this, I thought you would like it…"

And boy did I like it... she misunderstood me. He dropped his clothes to the side, walked over and lay down on the bed next to her. He took her by the nape of her neck and pulled her close, his eyes fixed on hers. Two inches from her mouth, he said, "I loved it. The best awakening of my life." And he kissed her long and deep with a kiss of his own. "But it's true that we have to study," he said when he broke away. "We only have today and Sunday left, and we won't even finish our homework like this."

"Yeah… you're right."

"Well, come on, wake up. I'm going to shower, I won't take long, I'm not going to wash my hair. Meanwhile, pretend that you have left your room. I'll come upstairs to make the bed and then I'll go downstairs to have breakfast, see you there. Although they already know everything, continue with the act, as if you had just seen me, you have to allow them to hide."

"Yes of course."

They showered and went downstairs to have breakfast. Peter and Violet had left, probably for a walk while it wasn't raining, and also to leave the house to them. Then they went upstairs and stuck to their homework until one, when Sev left.

"Take the opportunity to dedicate yourself to Defense," he said to her. "If you don't take it seriously, you won't get the Outstanding."

"Okay…"

"I'm taking the forest guide so that Mum can copy the sacred places tomorrow and we'll be able to leave it to your parents."

He hugged Violet and Peter goodbye until the next day, when they would pick him up from Spinner's End to go on a hike. He was surprised that they appointed him at eight.

"Do you plan to go very far?" Sev asked them.

"Well, a little, but it doesn't matter," Peter replied. "We feel like going out. We haven't been on holidays for two years."

Holidays… They always go to the beach, Sev thought. "Okay, I'll be ready."

"Do you have waterproof clothing?" Violet asked him.

"Yeah."

"Then take it in case the weather is bad."

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

When Sev got home, Eileen already had lunch ready, and she greeted him with a knowing smile. "How did you wake up?"

"Like never before."
