I tried to retell the beginning of the story in my own words with some morals tied in. I wondered what could be going through Serge's mind during that time. You get to meet Kid, Karsh, Solt and Peppor too. And of course Glenn! Enjoy!

After the time devourer is pacified, Riddel decides to stay in the other world with Dario, leaving Glenn to deal with a mess he's been dealing with since he was five years old. Also, with both Einlanzers, everybody seems to think he's some kind of hero... or something(?) Glenn/Karsh. Also Karsh/Riddel & Dario/Riddel. Fic pretty evenly split between pre- and post-game.

What if that old bloke that gave Serge and co. a ride that one time actually went back and talked to the Water Dragon? Nobody wants this question answered, but I answered anyway.

This time we get to see events unfolding from her particular perspective as she tries to make sense of a world that has forgotten her.

When she saw Kid, the strange woman was stunned by her defying confidence and inner fire. Yet the more she admired the thief, the more she began to fear Kid, for these feelings she felt were not meant for another woman, but for a man. Thinking back, the woman wondered how everything spun so quickly out of control. Serge/Kid/OC/Mathieu. Written as an experiment on human emotion.

He knows that she never considers him as a friend, but he is willing to wait until she changes her mind.
