This is set in Season 3, just after Tornado Girl, and before the stuff "hit the fan" with the whole school teacher fiasco that set Daniel down a crazy path to a cult and financial ruin! I once again, ask that you indulge an old lady to not be too critical of the earlier setting and to consider it through the lens of 10 years ago, not by today's higher standards of office behavior.

AU season 5: Sequel to Gossip Mode Style. New relationships, villains, and Responsibilities; same old rumor mill. One would really think the happy ending would last for more than 24 hours, but this is a tele-novella. 13 years later. Betty's offered a job back at MODE in an attempt to "modernize" the failing company. She's reluctant to take the job due to her rocky past with Daniel. But when she and Hilda discover their father can no longer live on his own, she packs up her life and moves back to New York to take care of him—and to try to save MODE.

It's a new story, I'm just stretching my writing abilities, since I haven't written anything original yet this year. Been reading Ugly Betty FF for a while (bit of a silent reader) and wanted to try writing some on my own (feedback is welcomed, but be nice). This happens during the Bahamas episode in Season 4. Betty originally goes to the Bahamas to get back with Matt, but things change when she's there.

This is an oldie for me. I originally posted this story to Live Journal back in 2013! It's still one of my favourite Detty Christmas stories I wrote. It is after Burning Questions and cheats the timeline to be set at Christmastime.

A/N: I'm just checking to see if there is still "anybody out there"! I don't think I've written anything new for Detty at all this year. IF there are still any readers who want more stories, please let me know. I have plenty of them from the six years I wrote solely on Live Journal. But this one is new.

This is one of many stories I first posted on LJ. It starts after Betty and Daniel's "all-night date" on the bridge. I flew from Portland to NYC in 2013 to The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival where Eric Mabius was a judge and America's talent agency is, with a UB script in hand I co-wrote (w/T Madison), I was inspired getting to walk on "their bridge"! Too bad Eric didn't show :(

In my version of a "Season 5" Daniel takes Betty up on her offer of a job as her assistant. Does this new dynamic work, or just create more problems? Will a drunken kiss change everything for them? This is set between Million Dollar Smile and London Calling, with some slight changes in the timeline to suit my purposes, which you should be able to spot pretty easily. There will be some drama, but hopefully plenty of laughs and of course, romance!

This is a little story from another site that I posted there in 2014. It begins six months post-series, with Daniel in France and Betty in London. I really enjoyed this story, since it involves DJ as Daniel's "wingman".

This will be a romantic/angsty tale, with a bit of mystery and spookiness, and yet, sliced with humor. I'll try to time this out to finish just in time for Halloween. I can't tell you how much it excites me to see that I am NOT the last Detty fan standing! Especially with how grim real life has been for so long, it fills my heart with a little bit of hope that Detty still lives!

This is set right after the whole "cult" business when Betty runs interference for her friend, she gets more involved in Daniel's healing journey than even she expected!

Ha! I feel a bit like Claire here with the title of this story! Oh well, whatever! I know the Meade matriarch eventually did well with her "insert" and was proven to be quite popular with ladies of a certain age. Personally, I'm not quite ready for that ice flow yet, either, Claire! This tale is set more or less in the present day, assuming Daniel had returned to NYC.

This little AU tale begins back in Season 2, after Daniel calls Betty the big S-word when she and that "Egg Salad" guy are kicked out of Wicked for life for kissing on stage!
