After much thought, I've decided to put all of my "Ruby Dillon" stories here. Chapters 1-6 are from "Matt and Kitty: A Timeless Love Story." Any other story that relates to Matt and Kitty's life with Ruby will be here. (Chapter 1 (Life) has an extended ending from what was written in "Matt and Kitty: A Timeless Love Story.")

What starts as a fun-filled day with the Ronigers turns into quite the opposite for Kitty and Ruby.

When I recently saw Johnny Cash's exquisitively touching music video for the song "Hurt," I immediately thought of the opening scene of "The Badge"(Season 15 Episode 19). **For the record: I do not collaborate with any other writers anywhere, nor write "companion pieces." I take full responsibility, credit, and criticism for anything posted here under my pen name.

Thinking about The Badge brought me to how the lyrics of Paul McCartney's Beatles tune Yesterday would fit Matt's thoughts as he dealt with recovery from his wounds & Kitty's departure. He'd want to turn his yesterdays into tomorrows in order to do more than go through the motions of living.

The thoughts of Matt, Chester, Doc, and Kitty during "Kitty Shot." (Season 6), including the sound of the gunfire before Kitty was shot. Each character will have his/her own chapter.

Kitty has a vision for a new business venture at the Dillon's idyllic Spring Creek Ranch, determined to create a legacy for Sara, Jake and Luke, and an exciting new opportunity for Dodge. Maybe just a little bit TOO exciting! Will Matt get more than he bargained for? 12th in the "There's Always Tomorrow" series.

If you need a dose of Matt and Kitty (and who doesn't), I'll be posting short stories here. The stories will be independent of one another. Ideas for the stories may come from scenes from the show, a line spoken by one or both of them, or whatever pops in my head. I don't own the Gunsmoke characters. I hope you enjoy reading these Matt and Kitty stories.

Inspired by the deliciously disturbing 1956 movie, "The Bad Seed."

Matt feels compelled to go after a killer he failed to catch many years ago. This story follows on from Doc's Story - a version of Gold Train as seen through Doc's eyes. A few characters from that fic also take part in this story.

After watching the scene of Matt and Kitty, realizing they were long over due for a day off and time alone, and once again Duty calls! I felt we need to follow up... so that I did.
