Alex takes a two-week vacation, having told his parents, his school, and Eric that his "sister is sick" and he needs to go see her. She lives in the nearby city, and has some friends Alex wants to know better. Alex gets what he hoped for, but he finds himself still thinking about Eric, and wishing he hadn't lied to him. M-rated for sexual content.

A year later, Alex thinks about the aftermath of his and Eric's actions, from the 'other side'.

Eric isn't as smart as Alex, and he's sure Alex knows it. Which he does. But they're friends, however odd a pair they might make. And when Alex starts talking about an idea he's got one day after school, it's Eric who realises just how good an idea it is. It's Eric who chooses to make it real.

Thinking about Eric and the time they've known each other, Alex ends up making a different choice in the cafeteria.

Alex didn't think he'd have trouble killing anyone that day. But for some reason one death is affecting him in a way he never anticipated. Eric/Alex oneshot. TW for suicide.
