As a result she develops her own ties to that part of the world and its people, including the Darcy's of Pemberley.

A Fantasy Variation: Mr.Darcy needs to find a mate for his griffin, leave Netherfield, and fulfill his responsibilities. If he finds himself attracted to a lady of inferior birth it is only because his griffin is going into heat. It has nothing to do with her fine eyes or the liveliness of her mind.
