The following story takes place before certain other stories where Sweetie appeared. It shows how she came to join the Tiny Toons gang in Show Town. In the original show, she wasn't exactly likable. But since she's gonna be a main character in the reboot along with the main four (Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Hamton), I may as well add her to the group and have her undergo a heel-face turn. So, here we go.
Sweetie had been thrown out of the apartment the Tiny Toons were staying in at Show Town.
"And if I catch you here again, you'll regret it!" Furrball's voice yelled, slamming a window shut.
"Geez, who spoiled his milk?" Sweetie scoffed, dusting herself off. "All I was trying to do was tell them that I'm now in the upcoming reboot."
She decided to fly through Show Town to cool off. She happened to glance at a billboard that was advertising Tiny Toons Looniversity. There was graffiti spray painted next to the Sweetie on the billboard that read "Shouldn't be on the main cast!"
"Hoodlums!" Sweetie scoffed.
Later, she came across a newspaper machine and looked inside it. The newspaper front page read "Sweetie is added to TTL main cast and fans aren't happy about it."
"Okay, since when was me being in the main cast front page on the newspaper material?!" She yelled. "Since when was it this much of a big deal?!"
Even later, there were protestors in a crowd near the Townhall. They each were turned away from Sweetie so she couldn't tell what they were protesting.
"What's all this about?" She asked.
The crowd turned to Sweetie. They were all wearing shirts that had Sweetie's face crossed out.
"It's her!" Yelled one of the protestors. "Get her!"
The crowd charged at Sweetie, who quickly turned and flew away. She managed to avoid the crowd by blending in with a box full of plush toys. Once the crowd was gone, she flew from the box.
"This is the last straw!" She yelled. "Why is everyone so against me being in the reboot?!"
She decided to load up a Tiny Toons Looniversity page online and scrolled through the comments. The comments she read through were people talking badly about her. The more comments she read, the more upset she got. Some of the comments she read include:
"Why is Sweetie in the main cast? She's a horrible character!"
"Sweetie is horribly unlikable due to how she treats Furrball!"
"She deserves to have her own profile on the loathsome characters page!"
"That pink bird can take her mistreatment of Furrball and-"
Sweetie stopped reading that comment after that. The comments that mentioned Furrball and her treatment of him had her do a bit of thinking. She decided to re-watch episodes of the original Tiny Toon Adventures with the aid of DVDs and a portable DVD player. After re-watching certain episodes, Sweetie could barely think. The comments, the protestors, how she treated Furrball in the original show, it was too much for her to take it.
"What...?" She said, as a single tear rolled out of her eye and dripped to the floor.
Just then, she heard a familiar cackling.
"Those animals are gonna get what's coming to them!" Cackled a familiar voice.
It was Montana Max! And beside him was a ton of ACME rockets and dynamite. Sweetie hid behind a corner and thought quickly. She came to one certain conclusion on what to do. She flew over to Montana Max and whistled to get his attention.
"Hiya, Monty." She greeted, in a saccharine voice.
"Ah, Sweetie." Montana replied. "Just the bird I was looking for. I heard about you getting hate because you're getting added to the main cast in the reboot. Let's say you and I teach those toons a lesson?"
Sweetie smiled like the Grinch, and nodded.
Back at the Tiny Toons apartment, the Tiny Toons were building their logo out of Lego bricks.
"Has anybody got brick one thousand three hundred and seventy eight?" Buster asked.
"You know, I always wanted Legos growing up." Plucky informed. "But my mom would always buy me Mega Bloks, saying that they're the same."
"They kind of are." Babs replied.
"Babs, is there such thing as Mega Bloks figures?!" Plucky yelled. "What about Mega Bloks games? Mega Bloks land? Mega Bloks Batman? Mega Bloks Dimensions? I'm making a point, here!"
Just as Plucky finished his tirade, the doors to the apartment lobby burst off their hinges as Montana Max came in, pushing the dynamite and rockets, while Sweetie is beside him.
"Well, long time no see, Monty." Buster commented. "And I see you're not alone."
"That's right, rabbit!" Cackled Montana. "And Sweetie here is going to do the honours of making an impact."
"Oh, I'll make an impact alright." Sweetie giggled. "An impact that'll blow you away."
"Alright Sweetie, get out the lighter!" Montana ordered.
"If you say so." Sweetie giggled.
She took out a lighter, and as the other Tiny Toons expected her to light the explosives, she actually lit the seat of Montana Max's pants.
"Hey Monty, looks like you just ate some Taco Bell!" Sweetie laughed.
Montana Max didn't immediately get what Sweetie meant, that is until he smelt burning, and it wasn't the explosives. He sniffed around and saw what was burning. Before he could scream and run off, Sweetie took out a large wooden mallet.
"Don't worry!" She said. "I'll put you out!"
With one swing, Montana was crushed under the mallet.
"That'll teach you to mess with my friends!" Sweetie scowled.
The other Tiny Toons looked on with utter bewilderment. Furrball especially had his jaw reaching his knees.
"I suppose I owe you all an explanation." Sweetie informed. "When I first heard that I was in the reboot, I tried to tell you all but you kept rejecting me. I never got why. So I went through the town and saw graffiti on a billboard badmouthing me. But the straw that broke the camel's back was me encountering a group of protestors. To figure out what I am hated, I re-watched episodes of the original Tiny Toons and found out the reason. I didn't know what to think, let alone do. But when I saw Montana Max planning to blast this apartment and you guys into smithereens, I knew what to do. I formed a fake alliance with Monty so I could properly talk to you and want to make amends. I want to be a part of the Tiny Toons gang, I want to feel like a part of your group, and more than all of that, I want to bury the hatchet with you all, especially one certain blue cat among you."
The other Tiny Toons couldn't believe what they were hearing. Sweetie actually sounded serious and heartfelt. Especially when they saw Sweetie fly over to Furrball and hug him.
"If I could redo all those interactions, I would." She said. "But you have your own home here, and I promise that I'll never do anything to ruin it."
Furrball didn't know what to do. Should he believe and trust Sweetie? His answer came when Sweetie looked up at him and there were tears streaming for her big eyes, and he could tell that they were genuine and not crocodile tears.
"I think she's telling the truth." Hamton spoke out.
"Oh, poor Sweetie." Fifi agreed.
"Well, what do you guys think?" Buster asked. "Should we forgive Sweetie and let her join our group?"
The other Tiny Toons, including Furrball, nodded. Sweetie's beaming smile reached the bow on top of her head.
"You don't know how much this means to me." She informed. "Before we go off to celebrate, I gathered everyone in Show Town for this thing which I'm going to make my thing when I'm around Show Town."
Sweetie lead the other Tiny Toons outside where everyone in Show Town was gathered, Sweetie took a microphone out and began to speak into it.
"People of Show Town, I ask you: what is my name?" She asked.
"Sweetie Bird!" The people of Show Town answered.
"Yes." Sweetie replied. "And why do I ask is that the case?"
"Because Sweetie sounds similar to Tweety!" The people of Show Town answered.
"Yes." Sweetie replied. "And, am I very sweet?"
She fluttered her eyes after asking.
"Yes!" The people of Show Town answered.
"Oh yes, I am totally making that a thing." She happily sighed.
"Alright guys, let's go celebrate Sweetie joining us at Weenie Burger!" Buster announced.
The Tiny Toons went off the Weenie Burger to celebrate their new group member.
And that is how Sweetie joined the Tiny Toons gang in the Show Town stories. Anyways, on my Tiny Toons series, I got an idea from a guest to have Furrball & Shirley go on a "date", so I figured I'd have that happen in the Shirley's birthday story. See you then.
