Disclaimer: this rewrite will only focus World Coronation Battles, main events and reunions, also Ash's journeys team along with Goh and Chloe will also not be present. Finally, I know this first chapter isn't relevant and has many inconsistencies with the anime but I just had to write this up.
Our story begins in a quiet little town in the Kanto region called Pallet Town, and at a small little white house with red roof lived a boy who you'd be surprised can accomplish. This is home to a small little seven-year-old boy named Ash Ketcham.
Ash excitedly runs down the upstairs hall holding a piece of paper and excitedly slides down the rail and runs into the kitchen and exclamations from the top his voice "Hey, Mom!" he runs past the chairs and to his mother Delia who is washing the dishes "Can I go? Can I? To Professor Oak's Pokémon Camp!" he shows her the piece of paper, which is a poster advertising Professor Oak's Pokémon Camp, Ash continues to announce while pointing to it "It's a really cool trip to a camp where you get to go and check out Pokémon with Professor Oak!"
As his mother dries her hands on the apron she replies "Oh! So, they have a camp for that, too? Alright. I'll fill in an application for you, then." Hearing those words made ash so happy he burst out a gasp and excitedly couldn't stop cheering "Yay! Alright! Alright! Yay!", filled with Joy the little boy ran back up to his room in excitement and happiness. As his mother watches him run away she can't help but retort "He's every bit like his father" she looks over to a picture showing herself, Ash as a Baby and a man but his face was covered by the bright light.
The exciting, wonderful world of Pokémon! A group of most unusual creatures, teeming with mystery. Some Pokémon live alongside humans, some while some can be found in the grasslands, in the sky, and in the water, wild Pokémon live everywhere! Especially in this particular forest.
A yellow ear appeared out from the leaves and out popped out was a little Pichu, as the little Pichu excitedly climbed out the trees it's ears pick up something only for Pichu to see four Butterfree. The little Pichu was happy to meet the Butterfrees however it so excited it didn't even notice them leaving or two glowing small lights in a cave right in front of him, as Pichu continued to dance happily an Ekans immediately jumps out the cave ready to attack him however to defend himself Pichu discharges a jolt of electricity shocking Ekans so bad it forces him to retreat back in the cave. You see Pichu is an Electric Type meaning it can use Electric Type moves although it seems this one in particular is still trying to control his as he faints on the ground wiped out from his own attack. As he gets back up he notices a whole pack of Mankey in trees, then he notices two Nidoran both a male and a female nuzzling each other. He then runs towards the edge of a cliff where he witnesses a whole field filled with Dodrio and Spearow flying above it. In the wilderness many Pokémon live in groups however it seems this Pichu lives alone, Pichu then notices three Koffing flying above but unfortunately they let of poisonous gas which affects Pichu so badly it he finds it hard to breath and to make matters worse the little guy unfortunately falls off the cliff ledge.
As he falls in mid-air he eventually lands in the trees but not before hitting a few branches and right before he falls and hits the ground he was rescued as Kangaskhan catches him in her hands. Pichu gets up to notice the Pokémon that saved him who greeted him with a friendly smile but poor Pichu was frightened by this until Kangaskhan gently put him down on the ground. Pichu then gazed upon it's saviour and the little Kangaskhan in its pouch who then got out to greet him with a friendly dance in which Pichu also retorted with a dance of his own, just then Pichu notices a whole group of Kangaskhan and their babies, but just then one of the Kangaskhan alerts the others it's time to go so then the whole group started to leave. The one that rescued Pichu looked back and couldn't leave him behind so he picked him up and placed her in her pouch alongside her own son and continued travelling with her group, as Pichu rode in the pouch he felt like he was a part of a real family and that made him feel good inside.
Days went on with Pichu living with the Kangaskhan and he really felt like he belonged, one day when the all the group were picking Oran Berries from the trees Kangaskhan picked two for both her son and Pichu in which her son couldn't wait to eat however when she was about to pick another she noticed the whole tree had been picked clean leaving her son upset, however Pichu offered his berry to him mainly because it was too big for him to eat it but the little Kangaskhan refused to take it in which his mother took it and told Pichu to open wide and as he did Kangaskhan dropped it in his mouth causing his cheeks to be stuffed with a whole Oran Berry. Pichu looked at them both and they nodded to him to try it and as he did he enjoyed the taste of it which made them happy.
This once lonely Pichu is now living happily with this small group of Kangaskhan, they'd spend a lot of their days together especially relaxing and swimming in hot springs and accidently swimming into each other. Later at night all the Kangaskhan had gotten into a cave for shelter and were peacefully sleeping and the ones Pichu was sleeping with held him tight and cosy making him feel truly a part of their family.
A number of weeks later Professor Oak's Poke Camp was getting ready, the Professor had rented out a summer camp to use and now he was going over everything to make sure everything was ready for the campers; he asked a couple of trainers from both Kanto and other regions to come and help out to make sure the campers could get a full experience.
Professor Oak headed into the woods to see a young trainer with spiked brown hair and what seemed to be closed eyes while polishing a large Onix, Oak kindly asked if he was one of the trainers helping out "Excuse me young man but are you one of the trainers helping me with Poke Camp" the trainer replied "Yep that's me I'm Brock from Pewter City" hearing that named he knew who this was "Ah yes the Gymleader's boy, uhm do you happen to know where the others are" Brock answered "I think I saw a kid with a red headband sketching a Venonat over" Oak great fully thanked Brock but was then asked another question "Uhm where exactly is the Pokémon Centre" Oak replied "Right over here and if there's any trouble Officer Jenny should also be present as well" Brock's eyes instantly became hearts and then jumped on Onix and immediately headed for the Pokémon Centre leaving Professor Oak shocked "He must have really needed to heal his Pokémon".
While looking for the other trainers Professor Oak then came across a boy with a red headband and a green shirt sketching out a Venonat on a drawing pad, Oak kindly then talked to him "hello there would you be one of my helpers" the stopped sketching and answered, "ah huh I'm Tracy and this is Venonat" Oak replied "Splendid, do you happen to know where any others are" Tracy replied "I saw a trainer someone cooking by the berry trees" Oak kindly thanked him and complimented his sketches "thanks very much, and might I say not sketches you my friend have a future in Pokémon Watching". As Oak leaves Tracy feels very inspired.
When Professor Oak arrived at the Berry Trees he noticed the scent of something that smelt really delicious and saw the kid Tracy had mentioned who was mixing soup and couldn't help but compliment the cooking "my young man what an extraordinary scent of pure greatness" the green haired boy Kindly answered, "thanks it's a recipe I've been working with, I'm Cilian and this is Pansage" Professor Oak then remembered that name but something wasn't quite right, "Cilian aye weren't there supposed to be three of you" Oak said confused and Cilian retorted "unfortunately my brother Chili and Cress couldn't make it" even though the other two weren't here Oak didn't mind and asked a question "you wouldn't happen to see any other trainers around here" Cilian replied "I think I did see a someone with round glasses by the lake" Oak replied and the took a whiff of the soup "thanks very much, oh but the soup could use a small dash of Tomato Berry". As Oak left Cilian took a quick taste of his soup and realised Oak was right "this could use some Tomato Berry".
As Professor Oak made his way to the pond he saw the young glasses boy with a Helioptile but also saw that he had a backpack that had some sort've extendable Aipom arm that helped him grab an apple from a high tree branch. Oak decided to compliment the boy on his device "I must say what an extraordinary device you have there" the boy noticed and replied "thank you very much it's an invention I made, I'm Clemont and this is Helioptile" immediately when Oak heard that name he got a bit confused "I'm a little confused I thought you'd be coming with a Shinx" Clemont sighed and replied "that I'm afraid is a long story, so my dad gave me this Helioptile instead" Oak replied "well at least you're here, uhm hey have you seen any other trainers around here" Clemont replied "yeah I believe I saw someone hear the open field wearing a bracelet with a red crystal but for some reason he wasn't wearing a shirt", Oak thanked Clemont and went on his way. As Clemont continued using his new device he felt so proud of it "this has to be one of my greatest inventions yet, and I can't wait to tell Bonnie about my time here…" the Aipom arm immediately explodes causing Clemont and Helioptile to be covered in ash and Clermont's hair puffed up.
Finally, Oak was at the wide-open field Clemont talked about and saw a young shirtless boy with both a Turtanator and the bracelet he was talking about. Professor Oak went over to admire the young trainer's bracelet "hello there I couldn't help but notice that bracelet of yours" the trainer got a little annoyed and replied "it's not a Bracelet it's a Z-ring, I'm Kiawe and this is Turtanator" hearing that it was a Z-ring Oak wanted to see its power for himself "a Z-ring then that means it creates a Z-move could you show" Kiawe responded "sure you ready Turtanator", Turtanator nodded and stood in position while Kiawe readied his stance "The zenith of my mind, body, and spirit of the great island of Akala, Become a raging fire and burn, Inferno overdrive!" Turtanator releases a powerful z-move which scorches an entire tree to ash and dust. Professor Oak was amazed by this "I've never seen something so spectacular, well I'll be going I've still got a couple of trainers to review for the camp".
The day later Professor Oak and checked on at least 40 trainers in total to make sure the camp was ready for the younger kids. As the Poke Camp opened many parents dropped off their kids, one of the cars that pulled up had the Petalburg Gymleader of the Hoenn Region Norman come out and then he opened the back door where a young brunette girl in a pink dress was sitting in the back seat pouting Norman then said "alright May enough pouting we're here now" the little girl pouted annoyedly "well I don't to be here", Norman picked her up out of the seat and set her on the ground and trying to calm her down and told her "look I know last month was a little rough" May responded angrily "mom threw a poke ball at my head and thought I was a tentacool" Norman responded "I know I know but me and your mother thought it might be a good experience for you besides you don't know jealous Max was when he heard you we're going here" May continued to pout in which her dad told her "okay I'll be back to pick you in three days don't you worry". He tussled her hair and then drove off leaving May still annoyed.
Meanwhile another car arrived and this the top Sinnoh coordinator Johanna stepped out and from the other side of the car a little girl with dark blue hair and a blue dress stepped out and became amazed by the camp. First though Johanna did address her daughter "okay Dee-Dee I'll be back to pick you up in three days" the little girl became very angry when called that "mom don't call me that" Johanna giggled and apologised "I'm sorry I couldn't help myself" she kissed her daughter on the forehead and then left.
Just then a bus arrived which had many young kids from around the world come visit the camp, the first one off the bus was a young ginger haired girl wearing a yellow shirt and blue shorts who filled with energy came rushing out the bus and exclaimed "I misty will the best camper at Poke camp". After a couple more kids get off the next one to depart from the bus was a young girl with big hair and an Excadrill and announced, "come on Excadrill after Poke Camp we'll head back to the village of dragons and I Iris will soon become a Dragon master". After that a few more kids were getting off the bus one of them was a green haired girl with a Bounsweet and the other was a blue haired girl with a Poppilo, the green haired girl said to the other "can you believe it Lana we're actually here" the blue haired girl responded "I know Mallow and I'm so excited" both girls giddily ran off towards the camping grounds. The last two kids of the bus was a young ginger haired boy that had a Pikachu scarf and a little girl wearing a white dress and sun hat, the little girl looked so excited "we're really here and I can't wait to touch all the Pokémon" in which the boy remarked "you know Lillie I'd be surprised if you couldn't touch Pokémon" she replied "yeah right Sophocles like that'll ever happen".
Finally, one more car had pulled up and the person that got out was Kalos' top Rhyhorn racer Grace and as she opened the back seat there was a little honey haired girl wearing a pink dress and a straw hat while tucking her face into her legs out of fear. Grace tried to assure the little girl that everything would be okay "come on Serena everything will be okay and you'll definitely have fun" Serena argued "no it won't" and Grace responded "it's only going to be for three days and I'll pick you up no sooner I promise" she picked up her daughter out of the car and gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving. Serena was still scared and uncomfortable but proceeded towards the camp lodge.
Professor Oak watched everyone gather into the lodge but was a bit confused considering because he was expecting a certain young man to arrive "where is he I hope he hasn't slept in again…" he then then heard the sound of a young boy saying "I'm here I'm here", Oak witnessed as he saw Ash running up to him. Professor Oak said, "you're late again Ash, you really have to stop sleeping in oh well you're here now, why don't you go inside with the rest" Ash nodded and headed inside the lodge.
Ash and all the kids were inside Professor Oak stood at the top of a stage and made an announcement "welcome everyone to Poke Camp, here you will learn everything about Pokémon so that when you are all older and turn 10 you'll one day be experienced trainers and maybe even rise to become the champion of an entire region" hearing this made all the kids excited and even Ash felt beyond inspired as they quietened down Professor Oak continued talking "now for now I want everyone to off and explore the camp grounds and even woods I'm sure you'll find amazing Pokémon out there". All the kids left the lodge and started exploring the place.
While exploring the Ash saw a wild Poliwag and was easily amazed by it "whoa a Poliwag" the Poliwag ran into the forest making Ash want to chase it "hey wait come back I just wanna be friends". Meanwhile Serena was feeling very shy and timid and tried to get away from everyone so she wandered off however she then accidently found her self in the forest and it doesn't seem like she knows her way back.
After an hour of walking through the woods serena was getting even more scared by the minute, she then tried to call out to see if anyone was around "hey where is everyone…" she notices something ruffling in the bushes which frightens her and makes her both fall over and hurt her knee. She could do nothing but lay there in terror at the sight of something in the bushes, and then immediately a Poliwag jumped out and took a quick look at her before leaving, Serena was so scared and hurt all she could do was cry "I didn't want to come to this camp, I'm so scared MOMMY". Just then she noticed something was in the bushes and became more terrified by the second however this time it wasn't a Pokémon that came out but instead was Ash who was looking for that Poliwag "Poliwag…huh what are you doing all the way out here, my name's Ash what's yours" Ash noticed that she was crying and questioned what was wrong "what's wrong are you hurt" Serena responded "I hurt my knee" and saw that her knee was grazed and decided to help her "oh no wait this this will help" he pulls out a handkerchief from his pocket and wraps it around the wound "there you go". Serena manged to stop crying and then saw Ash pull his hand out offering to pull her up, she takes it and when he pulls her up she almost falls again but Ash manages to catch her and says, "there you see" and smiles at her he then holds her hand and takes her back "why don't we go back to the campsite, here let's go" as they head back Serena felt something very strange in her like she had just immediately had a crush on the boy that possibly saved her life.
Meanwhile back in the forest a certain little Pichu has made great friends with a group of nice Kangaskhan and right now he was playing hide and seek with one of them, while hiding in the bushes Pichu thought he had a great hiding spot however immediately the little Kangaskhan had found him. Just then a group of Chansey came by to the all the Kangaskhan and shared their eggs with them considering how nutritious they were, when all the Kangaskhan had received an egg they called out for their young telling them it was time for dinner. When Pichu went to his Kangaskhan they both noticed the little one wasn't around and went looking for him.
While Ash and Serena were walking back to the camp they noticed a little Kangaskhan walking by all lost and confused, Serena asked "what is that" and Ash replied "it's a Kangaskhan…wait isn't the little blue one usually with a big brown one". The small Pokémon looked up at them and looked very scared in which Ash asked, "are you lost" and the Kangaskhan nodded it's head in which Serena said "don't worry you can come back with us and we'll get Professor Oak to take you back to your mommy" Kangaskhan was happy about that idea and decided to go with them. As they continued walking Kangaskhan accidently bumped into what seemed to be a green foot sticking out of a bush, the foot went back in the bush but then rose a Scyther who looked pretty annoyed that he was woken up and was about to attack the three of them in which Serena became scared again however Ash stood in front of her and the Kangaskhan ready to protect them. As Scyther had cornered the 3 of them against a tree out of nowhere Pichu showed up and jumped right on top of Scyther's head and discharged a bunch of electricity shocking the Bug Type unconscious, immediately Kangaskhan went over to Pichu and hugged him and the two went back into the forest while waving Ash and Serena goodbye while they waved goodbye to them too.
Eventually Pichu brought the little Kangaskhan back to the group and upon seeing them both his mother immediately came running up and hugged both him and Pichu while also shedding tears from her eyes.
Three days later the Poke Camp was over and all the kids were heading home, over that time Ash and Serena built a genuine and true friendship they knew they'd never forget in which Serena told him "I had a fun time with you Ash thank you for saving me" in which Ash replied "ah your welcome I had a fun time too" just then Serena saw her mom's car pull up and knew she immediately had to leave "well my mom's here I hope I see you again soon" and Ash replied "me too". Before leaving the two hugged each other and went their separate ways but still continued to think about each other. As Serena got into her mom's car her mother couldn't help notice how happy she was "well it seems someone had fun" Serena retorted "I made a new friend mommy" and her mother smiled at her knowing despite the protests her daughter actually had a fun time, while driving away Serena still had Ash's handkerchief and held it tight so that she wouldn't forget him.
When Ash's mother had arrived to pick him up she saw how happy he was "hi sweetie how was camp" Ash happily responded "I was amazing I saw tons of Pokémon, I made a new friend, I saw a Pichu zap a Scyther" Ash couldn't stop talking about the amazing time he had at the camp. So, as he kept talking his mother smiled at him while walking him home.
And as time went on, back in the forest a rainstorm had hit and all the Kangaskhan were heading towards a cave to seek shelter from the storm, however the Kangaskhan Pichu was with was having a hard time keeping up with the others due to Pichu and the little one growing up so much that they both barely fit in the pouch and due to there being 2 of them the big one was carrying extra weight compared to the others. Pichu noticed how much grief this was causing her so he decided to jump out the pouch and walk alongside her so that she wouldn't become so exhausted, however Kangaskhan cared about him so much she didn't want him to walk in the rain and mud and was still willing to carry him despite how much more effort she needed to put in, however Pichu still felt sad that she was going through all this pain just for him.
Eventually during the middle of the night Pichu got out of Kangaskhan's pouch and looked back at them feeling very sad because it didn't want to leave them however he knew they're lives would be easier without him around. As he left the cave he looked back and without them knowing he thanked them for caring for him all this time when he had no one to care for him and looked back on the times they had cared for him, played with him, saved him and loved him in which he couldn't be more grateful. Like that Pichu let out a single tear knowing the friendship they had gone through and then something inside of him changed, he felt a tingling feeling and saw his body glow blue and felt changes all through him, like he was getting bigger. When the glowing stopped he looked at his reflection in the puddle seeing that he had evolved into a Pikachu and was very surprised by this change but was very happy because he knew that he'd evolve when he would reach a high level of friendship and that's what happened with the Kangaskhan. So before leaving he waved goodbye at the Kangaskhan and headed out into the wild.
Goodbyes, although not easy can sometimes lead to happy hellos so sometime later a young man named Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town has just celebrated his tenth birthday. As he wakes up he quickly wonders and panics what time was it and saw that he was late, on the day when he was to begin his journey as a Pokémon Trainer Ash overslept again but even so he'll manage to get his first Pokémon.
Since there were none left Professor Oak gave him the only Pokémon he had left available in which was a Pikachu who had opened his eyes after being stuck in a poke-ball for a while and the first thing he saw a kid grab him saying "hi Pikachu you and I are going to be best friends" being startled by all this Pikachu let off a thunderbolt and shocked his new trainer. Professor Oak explained that to use caution when handling Pikachu however Ash was so happy all he could think about was how good friends him and Pikachu would be.
And so from this moment Ash and Pikachu's story began, they've had many adventures and the curtain is about to rise on yet another brand new adventure.
