Ok, brand new idea. I hope you all enjoy.
Planet Earth, the birthplace of humanity. A beautiful place of large cities, green forests and vast oceans. A world that has seen much in its long existence, both peace and war. Life and death and everything in between. This world that has become the adoptive home of the Last Son of Krypton. Kal-El, better known to the human race as Superman.
Superman was an incredibly powerful being, an alien who was able to absorb solar radiation to produce incredible strength and power that is not easily found in the universe. It was this power that he wielded to protect and serve all those around him, to defend this world that he cared for so much. It was this power that he used to inspire hope, which became the cause for other powered people to rise and join him in the light. He was the leader of the Justice League and group of people the human race dupped 'Superhero's'.
He stood as the symbol of hope and peace in the world.
But no-one is without enemies and Superman has had many, but there was one that stood above all others, there was one that stood as the representation of true evil in the eyes of the Kryptonian.
Darkseid.
The very mention of his name starts an immediate reaction within Superman, it was something he would always take with one hundred percent seriousness. Superman and Darkseid have fought many times and each & every time they have fought, there is never a winner. Something always ends the battle for them, be it a portal that forces them to separate, each suddenly getting swarmed by the others forces or them injuring each other to the point where neither of them can fight anymore and they are both taken away by their allies.
When they fight all others around them know that they do not interfere, other times of course they can, as Superman always welcomed the help of his friends but not when it came to Darkseid. When it came to the two titans of power, no-one interfered until it was over.
It's been three years now, three years since Darkseid launched another attack on Earth and the Justice League rushed to the defence. The rest of the League, led by the nominated second in command 'Batman' fought against the rest of Darkseid's Lieutenant's while humanity dealt with the bulk of his army. In the middle of the attack, a battle began between the two leaders and the ground itself shook as they fought. Like all the others, this battle did not seem to have a winner.
Then it all changed.
Clark could feel a shockwave go through his entire body has the gigantic fist of Darkseid smashed into his chest. Unable to stop himself before it was to late, Clark's body flew through the air and backwords into one of the banks within the city of Metropolis, crashing through the bank vault doors and through the other side of the building. He was on his back for a fraction of second before he used his power to slide out of the way just in time to avoid the giant knee that crashed into the ground just where he was.
Turning around to face his foe, he unleashed a large blast of solar energy directly from his eyes that met the halfway point between when they clashed with Darkseids own Omega beams. Without warning he rushed forward pushing his own Solar beams with more power forcing his enemy to relent from his attack, when he did. Clark struck pushing his thumbs into the large eyes of Darkseid and flew up into the air. When they reached the height above the buildings. Clark let go and punched Darkseid directly in the chest and the larger being slammed into the ground.
Without waiting Clark flew towards the ground with both fists ready to cave in Darkseids chest, as he reached him however the large fist grabbed his head and forced him to miss his target, hitting the ground next to him instead but before he could get up Darkseid grabbed him by the back of the neck and held him in the air "Why do you continue to fight?" he asked Clark as he punched him in the chest, creating a shock wave as he did "you only delay the inevitable, the Will of Darkseid will not be denied" he said once and referring to himself in the third person, much to annoyance of Clark.
Clark shifted his body to the side in order to avoid the next strike, which he did but only just. Before Darkseid could recover Clark grabbed the side of his head and head-butted him forcing him to stagger backwards but Clark didn't let go, using his flight. He flew over the giant's head and lifted him as he did so. Clark flipped forward and with a burst of strength caused Darkseid to move with him. Smashing him into the ground yet again.
No more than a mile away from the fight between to two leaders the defenders of earth battled against the invaders.
Diana, Princess of Themyscira, better known to world as Wonder Woman was standing her ground against the two opponents that seemed to make it their mission to kill her and her alone. Lashina and Big Barda, two members of the Darkseid's legendary furies, a special and powerful group that was made of exclusively woman from different races that were taken as children to be salves to their masters will, they have fought each other many different times, in fact they fight each other as much as Superman fought their master.
She performed a back flip in order to dodge the spiked whip of Lashina though the second she landed on her feet she was forced to raise her shield in order to block Barda's heavy hammer which she was able to do with only some strain on her muscles, not surprising. True, Barda was strong, but Diana was a demigod. Not someone who could be easily out muscled, use her shield she forced Barda's weapon back and turned her body to a slash attack with her sword which was able to land if only barely but that was still enough to cause the fury to stagger backwards.
Without even looking Diana raised her left arm and caught to whip from Lashina, catching it on her bracelets of submission, her best form of defence. She only caught to look of shock on the furies face for just a moment before she jumped into the air and twisting her body as she did so, forcing the fury to be pulled by her trapped whip towards the amazon.
While it's never been said, it is widely considered fact that Diana is best fighter in the league, at least when it comes to weapons and techniques. The only thing that stopped her from surpassing Superman was his raw physical power, which was the same reason why she needed to stay out of the way and let him deal with Darkseid. The sheer power of them was too much for her, true she was powerful but her true strength came from her skill and training.
As Lashina reached her, Diana's foot smashed into her face and forced the fury to smash into the ground headfirst. When Diana's feet hit the ground in a landing worthy of an Olympic gymnast, she immediately jumped again, her sword aimed downward in a strike aimed straight for the chest of her enemy. But before she could end her foe, the weapon of Barda struck her full force. Diana winced as she felt her armour strain from the attack as she flew through the air.
Dodging another attack from Darkseids chief advisor. Batman flipped backwards through the air throwing a Batterang which landed true at Desaad's face. The explosion knocked him back. Bruce was just able to land on the edge of the building's roof, but he didn't have a moment to rest before needed to dash to the side in order to avoid the large chunks of rubble that were shot at him from the downed advisor.
But Batman was never down, even when he was on his back he was busy. Throwing a smoke grenade to the ground, he rolled away and used his skill to temporally hide from Desaad but this was not out of fear but skill, he needed to spread out new instructions "Lantern, the air forces his getting overwhelmed, give them some help. Flash, you've done enough of getting the civilians out, get back here and help deal with the Parademons before they overwhelm us" he said just before he was forced to roll to the side before in order to avoid another attack.
But unlike before, this time he rolled forward towards his enemy and landed an uppercut towards the alien's chin snapping his head back. In Desaads moment of pause, Bruce landed several other punches all over the alien's body and ended the fight with a round house kick to his chest. Knocking the advisor off the roof, falling well over forty stories towards the ground.
"WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND!" Clark shouted as he kicked Darkseid in the face pushing him back across the street they were on. The lord of apocalypse landed on his stomach and only just picked his head up before Clark kneed him right in his temple "EARTH IS UNDER MY PROTECTION!" he yelled again.
Darkseids face smashed into the ground and before he could get up Clark grabbed the back of the head and threw him upwards into the air. The plan was to use his flight and strength in order to smash the tyrants face but as he Darkseid began to descend they glowed with red eyes and all Clark could do was raise his arms in defence, not that it helped that much. The red Omaga beams came flying at him and Clark screamed as they smashed into his chest.
The force of the beams caused Clark to go flying backwards and from what he could see, into a bank vault, the heavy metal door bent around him as Clarks body proved the denser. He couldn't help but give a silent prayer of thanks to flash for evacuating all the people but that would have to do for now, he can thank him in person later. Looking forward Clark could see Darkseid walking towards him, Clarks own eyes lit up and he fired a small quick blast of his own. Unlike Darkseids, Clark's was not meant to do damage. It was meant to distract him and to his pleasure, it did just that.
The small blasts hit his left cheek which was just enough to cause the tyrants head to quickly flick to the side. That brief second of no eye contact was all it too for Clark to take off and zoom towards his enemy, the punch wasn't the strongest he's gave but it was enough to knock Darkseid back at least a mile, completely over the entire park area that rested in the centre of the city.
Unlike last time Clark didn't press the attack, allowing himself a small moment of rest as the sun light shown down the city causing the small wounds and bruises spread out over his body to heal. Once it did, all he could do was stare at his opponent.
It was one of those moments, the ones that seem to last forever due to the intensity of everything that was happening, everything that had built up to the moment. The funny thing was that when Clark looked over the grass field and starred at the one responsible for what must be thousands of different worlds being destroyed or conquered, untold trillions of lives lost and an amount of suffering that can never be measured. Clark didn't see him the same way he used too, in that moment, he didn't see an enemy. In a way Clark saw his goal, his destiny, something that he had to finish.
That was when he knew it, he knew right then and there as he starred at Darkseid. A strong feeling in his gut that he's never felt before, this was going to be their last meeting. One way or another, this battle was going to end with one alive and another dead. As if the universe itself was proving his thoughts to him a thudding sound reached his ears, quickly turning his head to his right.
He was met with the sight of Diana standing at his side with a worn smile on her face, leave it to her to enjoy the fighting. That's the Amazon in her, always loving a good fight. When he turned to his left, he saw Bruce standing by his side with a completely neutral expression, but he knew by now that his friend was working on the best strategy to end this quickly. There was a small flash of green in the corner of his eye and he didn't need to turn to tell that Lantern had just landed no doubt carrying other members with him.
Looking forward he saw that the Furies all jumping down to land on his side, Desaad calmly walking towards the other. Behind him Clark could see a what seemed to be his entire army behind him, it must have been thousands of Parademons flying in towards them. A fleet of ships in the sky.
Despite everything that was happening, it was like there was no sound for just a couple of moments. There was just Darkseid and his most elite forces facing off against the entire Justice League "what do we do Kal?" Diana's voice drifted through the wind.
Clark took one final deep breath before he clenched his hands into fists "we fight"
Three years later
His solid fist smashed its way into the parademons chest, exiting the other side before quickly leaving the body, allowing it to fall to the ground dead. Clark turned around, his eyes leaving the broken and destroyed street that was once where he used to live before all of this.
Three years, three long years. Ever since that first day it's been none stop. One thousand and ninety-five days, he hasn't slept in all that time. Clark has been moving in a none stop fashion, if he wasn't fighting then he was defending, if he wasn't defending, he was evacuating, if he wasn't evacuating then he was planning.
'And what was it all for?' Clark thought to himself as he walked along the dead street, when he looked up into the sky his hearts sank. The once blue light was replaced with a red one. The moon was now just a memory, in its place was the fire hellscape of apocalypse. Darkseids world now hovered over earth. Though it was not alone, stationed millions of miles away but still within Clarks field of vision where three other celestial bodies. The Warworld, the moon sized battle station rested beside Apocalypse under the command of the dictator Mongul. Who had joined Darksied a year into the conflict, a lot of lives were lost that day.
But thankfully earth was not without allies, they had friends in the form of the massive forces of New Genesis and the new gods along with Oa and the combined Lantern core.
This war was unlike any who came before it.
As much as Clark and the rest of the league tried to protect the people, in the end it meant nothing. After three years of being the battle ground of a war between what can only be described as universal powerhouses, the once green lush world was now nothing more than a skeleton of its former self. It wasn't even recognizable anymore, though it was fair to say Earth wasn't the only one to be damaged.
The Warworld was ripped in half and completely destroyed, due to the mission Batman led which had the objective of overloading the worlds reactor. A mission that cost not only his own life but the lives of all those who went with him, the entire Bat family, Catwoman and oddly enough Amanda Wallers Suicide Squad. The end of the world made for unusual allies.
The green world of Oa was now dull and grey, Clark didn't even know how many Lanterns were left now but it can't be more then maybe a dozen, none of which he knew. Hal, John and Guy died along with the guardians when Oa was met with a surprise counterattack from Darksied himself.
The world of New Genesis was the closest to Apocalypse, the two worlds where practically touching each other, the gap in between the two is where the most brutal fighting took place. Not that surprising when you think about the intense hatred the two shared for each other, Clark even saw one of the many battles that the High Father and Darksied had directly a couple of times. Of course, he helped in those fights where he could but he was always needed somewhere else. Like all the others, New Genesis just looked dead.
The final world however, that was a different story. Apokolips was already a burning escape to begin with so being able to see if it was broken or damaged was difficult. But Clark knew, the place was hurt, damaged. But out of all five worlds, it was the best off, the least damaged. He knew Darkseid was still alive, no doubt in his throne room trying to find new lieutenants to serve him.
'It wouldn't matter' Clark thought to himself as he got ready for what he was about to do. As Clark floated up into the sky, he drew the attention of another couple of Parademons who immediately headed over towards him. It would be their last mistake, Clark used his speed and killed them within one second. When their bodies fell to the ground Clark quickly made his way north, to only home he had left.
When he arrived at what was left of the artic, he was met with the dark lifeless body of his fortress. The bright crystals that once lit up like the night sky where now dead, but thankfully that was just a trick. When Clark stepped closer the fortress began to light up, of course Superman's fortress was attacked many times but every time it did Clark was forced to upgrade the defences. When even that proved to be ineffective, he decided to try something outside of the box. In short, he played dead, he switched off all the defences and all the power giving all who came close the impression that it had been taken over.
Which surprisingly seemed to work, walking through the doors to the fortress Clark made his way down the pitch-black corridors until he reached the centre of the base. The sound of running water hit his ears, not that surprising considering the water feature was natural and not used with pumps. Turning his head, he could make out the silhouettes of the large statues of his birth parents who were holding up a statue of Krypton.
Knowing that he was running out of time, Clark turned away and made his way towards the large computer. Taking a seat in front of it he logged on a began to get to work "Kelex, you there?" he said out loud as he began to type on the computer.
From behind him, Clark heard the sound of the small engine that came from the robotic body of Kelex as he came towards him "Master, it's so good that you have returned. How may I be of service?" the AI asked as he came forwards and stopped beside Clark.
"I need you to prepare the fortress for transportation off world" he said as he began the process through the computer.
"Understood master" Kelex said, though he didn't move from his spot. Clark could tell that he was connecting to all the fortress systems and activating the protocol.
Pressing one final Key, Clark stood up and made his way to one of the large consoles that decorated all the wall just in time for a small compartment to open and a bright crystal that shined like a diamond came out. It wasn't large, just enough to fit into his palm of his hand "run it by me again" Clark said out loud as he turned to face the droid.
Kelexs head turned to face him "While transporting the entire fortress and everything within it is possible, it is also unadvisable. Through this method, the fortress of solitude will be placed within its own artificially created parallel pocket universe. Completely sealed away. What is in your hand right now will act as a locator and transport beacon, once you find a new location you feel is suitable for habitation, you simply need to place the Beacon down and activate it. The beacon will then transport the fortress to that location, though please keep in mind the beacon will become the centre of the fortress" the A.I informed as he moved closer to Clark.
"So, I need two miles of space" he added before turning to face the last friend he had left "thank you Kelex" he spoke before turning around and made his way outside as the fortress started to shake around him.
He didn't show a reaction though, Clark's face remained stoic as his home prepared for a transportation it may never come back from. Being honest Clark had accepted that he may not come back from what is about to happen next, from what he was about to do. As he left the fortress he started to walk forward as the sun began to raise on the horizon, turning around Clark saw that the fortress was lighting up like it has never done so before. Some sparks of electricity began to flare off of it and soon a large blue dome of energy began to form from the centre, it grew and grew until the entire fortress was engulfed within in. That was when it froze and then quickly shrank back into itself only this time, the large crystal fortress was completely gone. Leaving a large ice crater in its wake.
With the final thing that Clark needed to do done, he had no more excuses to delay. Turning around Clark looked at the rising sun before looking down at himself. His red and blue suit was still as solid as ever, the red cape flowing behind him in the wind. Though he himself has changed, such as the beard that went around his face, or the scar that when over his right eye.
Though that wasn't to say there weren't any modifications in place, his apparel has changed during the war. On his wrists rested the unbreakable bracelets that could store kinetic and magical energy which could then be fired back on command, they once belonged to his trusted friend and lover Diana or Wonder Woman as she was known to the world, on his waist rested her famed Lasso of truth, an unbreakable, extendable lasso that compels all sneered within it to speak the truth.
Resting on his back over his cape was the golden Trident of Poseidon, the weapon and tool of his friend Arthur Curry. A three-pronged trident that that is incredibly durable and allows the user limited control over water and marine life.
On his right hand he wore a beautiful silver ring that held a blue gemstone, handed to him by Zetanna before her death that would help him defend against magical attacks, nothing to powerful but it has no doubt saved his life already since getting it.
He's never going to pretend to be as skilled with these tools as they were, but he trained whenever he could to bring honour to his friend's tools now that he really understood how useful these where. Taking one final breath, Clark bent his knees and looked up to the sky. The ground started to shake, small specs of ice started to rise and the ground around him started to crack. Then he jumped upwards, the ice that had formed and lasted for thousands of years stood no chance against his power.
The jump turned into flight as he started to climb the worlds atmosphere, the sound barrier broke around him as it shattered before his speed. Sooner than even he thought he would, he reached the top of the earth and started to leave this world behind. He wasn't giving up; he would never do that. If there was even one life on this world, he would keep fighting but that was the true horror of the situation. There wasn't one. Not one person or animal native to earth that was alive on it, everything was dead.
That was the only thing that gave him the strength his needed in order to make this choice, if everyone was dead, if everything he fought for was lost. Then the only thing he could do was make sure that all the death was not in vain. He would kill Darkseid and now after all this time, he knew how he would.
Looking in front of him as he flew the bright light of the sun grew larger and larger until it encompassed all his vision. He's only ever done this once before and he knew what to expect but he would never be prepared for it. First, he felt the heat from being so close to his source of power. Then he felt it wash over him like lava expect much more intense when he physically entered the sun. The cells in his blood soaked in its power becoming something more, something...godlike.
That was not a word he liked to associate with himself, but it was the only way to describe it, he hovered there, inside the sun. Simply waiting, absorbing more and more power. He knew what may happen it himself when doing this, he knew that there was a chance his body would begin to break down and he would die but he just didn't care about himself anymore, he needed to end this, once and for all.
After a few minutes of being within the sun he started to drift out of it, his body not only glowing with golden light but giving off waves of heat and tendrils of pure solar energy danced across him. Opening his eyes, the light that came from them would blind almost anyone who looked upon them. But that wasn't going to happen, there was no-one else to look at him. Feeling a fresh rush of anger form the thought. Clark flew forwards.
And if he thought he was fast before, it was nothing compared to what he was now. Within the time it took for he himself to blink Clark was at the top of the Earth and he dove downwards. The ground moved out of his way before he even touched it, when he got closer to the core, he stopped. He pushed out both his arms and gripped the solid rock, then he moved again.
To the outside, one would see the Earth lurch in place and then slowly start to move forwards towards the fiery hellscape of Apocalypse. Then it started to move faster and faster. Even though he was carrying the world around him, Clark didn't feel the weight, it was nothing to him.
The only thing slowing him down was pain, not on the outside but within. The pain of knowing what he was about to do, he was about to destroy his home. The world he cared for and defended with all his might. The world he loved; he was about to sacrifice it in order to make sure Darkseid was finally defeated.
The world began to heat up due to the speed in which it was moving and when it reached a certain speed. Clark stopped abruptly but the world didn't, as it moved forward the hole Clark and dug began to move forwards past him until he exited it. He watched on in sadness as the Earth got closer to his target.
Though despite the situation, a frown of anger appeared on his face when he used his vision and looked through the Earth and towards Apokolips, more specifically, the palace and the throne room within. He could see the ruler of that Hell look up into the sky, at the planet that was getting bigger and bigger. A look of true uncontrollable rage appeared on his face when he realized that he couldn't stop what was about to happen and Clark would be lying if he didn't take any satisfaction in that.
Though it didn't change anything, Clark's face was stoic as he saw the Earth collide with his target. The explosion that come from its collision was something Clark has never seen before, but it wasn't enough. He knew that Darksied would survive it. After all, he most likely could as well.
Looking down, Clark clenched his right fist and began to use a combination of his speed and power to vibrate it. Looking back forward, he looked through the still exploding worlds and could see Darksied in the middle of both screaming in both pain and anger.
He was bloodied, bruised, his skin was cracking. He was nearly gone forever but it wasn't enough, he only needed one more thing. And Clark was going to be it. Rushing forward with all his power Clark hit the ground on the other side of the Earth where the explosion was only just reaching. He moved through the world and got closer to Darkseid, his fist still vibrating faster and faster.
Something he learned from his friend flash, when you vibrate your fist at fast frequencies it can be increased in density which equalled to more force. He's done the math, if he can get his fist to vibrate just under light speed then his punch's force will equal that of a supernova. With that much force delivered directly to the weakened face of Darkseid, it would be enough to finally end it.
When he got closer, he could hear the screaming more clearly "YOU DARE!" he heard Darksied yell when he knew that he sensed his presence. Good, he knew that it was him who did it. Clark didn't answer, he just pulled his fist back just that little bit further and with a scream of fury, he pushed it forward.
The force of the sun exploding itself smashed against Darkseids cheek; it was so fast even Clark himself had trouble keeping up with the moment. But he could feel it connect, break, go through the skin, and feel the brain within.
What followed was darkness the explosion of the two worlds colliding and the added force of Supernova powered punch was too much for Clark to handle and he drifted into unconsciousness.
When he next opened his eyes, he found himself drifting harmlessly in space, the stars shining brightly around him, all he could do was smile when he couldn't hear anything. There was no sound around him, nothing at all. It was over, Darkseid was dead.
Pieces of debris entered his blurred line of vision and out of all the boulders and debris. One small rock stood out from the others; a large white rock shined in the middle of it all. If Clark had a clear head, he would have been able to tell that it was a piece left over from the moon but that wasn't what he was focusing on.
No, what he couldn't tare his eyes away from was the silhouette of a woman sitting on top of the rock starring down at him. All he could see was the curvy figure, long white hair and two beautiful glowing blue eyes. The last thing Clark remembered before darkness claimed him was a small smile appearing onto her face.
Azeroth
The night was calm in the land. Tyrande Whisperwind, High Priestess of Elune stood at the balcony of her home, the great Arch Tree of Teldrassil that rested off the cost of the continent. Looking out over the ocean and towards the land of Ashenvale, her mind wondered, something was amiss.
For the past seven times she has slept her dreams where interrupted, she was given images and visions of a human, a man, clad in blue & red and wielding weapons that she's never seen before, she always sees him fighting a large... well, she wanted to say demon, but it seemed more. The power that thing held was unimaginable. It went past that of not only Kil'jaeden or Archimonde but even seemed to rival Sargeras himself. A power that she would never even dream to match.
She didn't know who this man was, and she couldn't remember anyone else ever mentioning this person in myths or legends. She spent her time praying to her goddess for answers, wondering why she would send her these visions and why they grew more and more intense as the nights past but so far she's received nothing, the goddess was silent. She let out a sigh as she looked over her shoulder towards her bed which lay empty. Her husband Malfurion had ventured into the Emerald Dream some moons ago and has yet to return, she found herself often wishing he was here with her. The comfort he gave her would not go amiss right now.
Turning her head upwards she starred at the full moon which hung brightly in the sky, once again she found herself closing her eyes and preying to her goddess, asking what the meaning of these dreams meant or what she had to do to find out. But to her increasing worry, her goddess didn't answer her. Opening her eyes, she frowned in confusion when she tried to think of what to do next "mother" a voice interrupted her train of thought "are you alright?"
Turning around Tyrande smiled as she looked at her adopted daughter Shandris "yes" she quickly said, though the raised eyebrow from her was enough to convince her that she didn't believe her. She let out another sigh before she turned forwards again, looking out over the ocean "I don't know" she admitted.
Shandris walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder when she got close "what's happened?" she asked simply.
The high Priestess nearly let out a chuckle, what hasn't happened in the last few years? More has happened within that time then the last ten thousand. First the Horde arrived under the command of The Burning Legion which they barely survived; the remaining members of the Horde built their capital closer to her home then she would like.
The dark portal opened again, and a large force went through it, it didn't help that the latest intelligence reports stated that Illidan Stormrage was building a force on the other side. The human kingdom of Lordaeron was taken over by an army of the undead led by the kingdom's own prince Arthas Menethil, who now lives in the continent of Northrend, bearing the title of the Lich King and now controls a massive army of the undead just waiting to launch an assault on everyone.
The former kingdom was taken over by the newly tilted Dark Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, a former slave of the Lich King who was able to break free from his control along with many others, they now lived in the land under the banner of the forsaken. Being protected from an Alliance counterattack due to them having joined the Horde so any attack on them would start a war that no-one was ready for.
And that's not mentioning the largest change to the world which is the arrive of yet another completely alien species who called themselves the Draenei. They crash landed on an island very close to Teldrassil, Tyrande thanked her goddess every day that they seemed to be a peaceful race. Though that didn't stop a full-scale war from starting between the two peoples when they first met, due to both not knowing the other pasts. When the Night Elves first saw them, it was instant weapons when they saw how closely they looked to the members of the Legion. While no blows where traded it was very close, it was only due to the level headedness of both herself and the High Profit Velen that the situation could be explained.
Needless to say, that while trust was slow, the Night Elves where happy to have such a long-lived race who also had a history with the Legion. She knew it would be a slow process but in time she was certain that the Night Elves and the Draenei would be the closet of allies.
"Elune is silent" she stated "she's giving me visions of a man I've never seen, and she says nothing else" it was hard to explain the situation to someone else.
"you've taught me more often than not that the goddess works in strange ways. When that happens, you always tell me to have faith in her wisdom" she lectured and Tyrande couldn't help but smile at the irony of her daughter giving her the same lecture she once gave.
Before the two could continue speaking, a sudden light caught their attention. Both turning to look out over the ocean and towards Kalimdor, the eyes of the two Night Elves widened at the sight before them. High in the sky, a large ball of fire was falling, it reminded Tryande all too much of the Fel-demons of the legion and how they entered battles. Thankfully the high priestess has lived a long life and in that time, she has seen hundreds of comets and meteors. Which is why she didn't start to panic, of course she was able to notice the natural red flames instead of the Fel-magic green that the demons used.
However, she couldn't help but be surprised, nearly all of the meteors she has seen do nothing more than light up in the sky and disappear. This one was different, her eyebrows rose and her mouth fell open in worry when realized what was about to happen next. The sound that came from ball of fire was unlike anything she's heard before, it was as if the air itself was being trampled trying to get out of the way. Then it hit the ground in a large explosion, even all the way not just across the oceans water but on a high level of Teldrassil she could feel the vibrations in her feet from the impact.
Before she could even turn to her daughter a powerful hot blast of heat struck them both. They were both forced to take a step back in order to prevent themselves from being knocked over. Tryande was quick to make sure Shandris was alright before turning back to coastline. The now peaceful view was disturbed by a large ball of fire that seemed to be situated just on the coast, even the ancient trees of Ashenvale where not able to escape unscathed as many where now bent at different angles, leaning backwards being supported by others only just being stopped from falling over completely.
"Shan..." she started.
"I'll be there soon" the sentinel cut her off as she was already halfway out the door, no doubt to gather a squad of other sentinels to investigate. She only hoped that whatever that was, it wouldn't cause any more harm to the area around it.
She had to bring up her hands in order to shield her face from the intense heat that came from the large fire. Herself and a quickly assembled squad of other sentinels flew on their Hippogryph's towards the coastline, from what she could both see and feel the fire has started to spread.
Thankfully when she looked closer, she could see well over a hundred of Night Elves who must have been from the villages of Auberdine, Bashal'aran and Lor'danel. They seemed to be doing what they could to quell the flames, a small sight of relief appeared on his face when she could see many druids doing what they could such as pushing the wind onto the flames, willing the water from the ocean to try and swallow it and calling upon the rock and dirt to rise up and a swallow it, stopping the fire from having fuel.
Thankfully it seemed to be working, turning around she faced the others that were following her "Everyone!" she yelled in order to be heard over the crackling of the fire and the rustling of the wind "form a perimeter. You!" she pointed at another "scout ahead, make sure the Warsong don't get any ideas" they couldn't afford this right now and she certainly didn't put it past those damn Orcs to take advantage. She liked to thing this forest was secure, but she knew there were spies and scouts scattered around the place, if they saw this and reported back, it would be a problem.
Flying over the flames and ignoring the smoke. Shandris looked down into the creator, hoping to see the stone that caused this chaos. Though her eyes narrowed when a glint of gold shined into her eyes 'a boulder of gold?' she thought to herself. It wasn't beyond impossible for a meteor to be made of gold, just unlikely. Having no choice but to wait until the flames died down until the heat had subsided.
That took thirty minutes, thirty minutes for the flames around the creator to fade away and a mountain of smoke left in its wake, knowing that her mount could handle the smoke, Shandris flew down to see what caused this madness. Though when she finally did see what awaited her in the centre, she found her eyes widening even further at what greeted her.
The golden glow is what she saw first but as she got closer it began to take shape and formed into a three-pronged trident. For a second she assumed that this was the worst-case scenario and this was some sort of Naga trick as they were the only ones, she knew that would do something like make a trident out of gold.
Landing the mount just at the centre of the creator, Shandris took out her twin blades that rested on her back, knowing that the bow would not be the best choice of weapon in such a dark night, surrounded by black smoke. She ignored the heat on her skin which was almost painful the closer to the centre she got but pain was not something new to a Night Elf of her age, so she carried on.
Upon reaching the centre, the smoke cleared at her eyes widened at the sight before her. The golden trident was resting upon a blanket of red but when she looked closer she could the back of a man's head. Seeing that he was unmoving, Shandris returned her blades to her back and kneeled down next to him. Turning him around, her eyebrows rose when she saw that he was a human 'how was it possible for a human to survive such a collusion?' she thought. That was when her eyes lowered and looked at the rest of him, she has never seen clothing like this before. It looked like it was all one piece expect for the armoured gauntlets that seemed well crafted "Captain!" a voice sounded behind her.
Turning around she turned to face one of her sentinels who was standing with a bow drawn and aimed at the man "wait" she said loud but calmly "go help secure the area" reached down she grabbed the man and lifted him onto her shoulders "I will take him to Teldrassil. The high priestess will have questions" without another word she moved back over to her mount and placed the man on the back before moving back to the world tree.
Ok everyone. Another brand new story here and I have to say this one has been floating around my head for a while now and I just wanted to get it out of here. Unlike my Superman/Halo crossover I do fully instead to continue this one and I'm looking forward to where I'm going to go with this.
I wanted to say this now, as you can see up top this story is rated 'M' so in later chapters you can expect gore, strong language, Sex, the works.
As of right now there are many plans I have but none are set in stone, like pairings for example. I have no idea if I want him paired with lets say Jaina Proudmoore or Alexstrasza. Or if he'll side with the Horde or Alliance. Should he be able to weird the Light, Technically he could but you know... it's still magic. You know what I mean, let me know what you all think in the reviews down bellow.
