"Sasuke-kun, you should try this." said the thirteen year old Sakura handing her friend an onigiri.
"Sakura, I'm not hungry anymore." refused Sasuke, who since coming here had eaten more than he had in the last two days.
"I can taste that, Sakura-chan!" Naruto, overly energetic as usual, leaned towards Sakura. He held out his hand with a plate, waiting for the food.
They had been sitting in that clearing full of flowers for a good three hours.
They had the day off because Kakashi had an important mission to do, and Sakura thought they shouldn't waste such a beautiful day.
She specially got up early in the morning and prepared sandwiches, onigiri, cookies and fruit. With her mom helping her with this, she made it out with everything in a very short time.
Once Sakura had taken her blanket and the rest of the things she needed, she set out to get Sasuke and Naruto. Surprisingly, they both agreed without hesitation.
"Since when do you like tomatoes, Naruto?" she asked, looking at the blond with a raised eyebrow.
"Ehh, they have tomatoes in them!?"
"Of course they do. I made them especially for Sasuke-kun." she smiled shyly.
Sakura almost missed it, but at the last moment, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Sasuke with a winning smile. Naruto scoffed, seeing the triumphant expression on his friend's face. Sakura looked at the outstretched hand with the plate.
Sasuke was waiting for her onigiri with tomatoes. "Um..." she blushed and put one portion on. He bit into it, tasting her creation. It was indeed tasty.
"You should do those more often." if Sakura thought she was red before, she must have looked like a beet now. Nevertheless, she nodded vigorously, smiled broadly, and arranged the next recipes in her head.
