Chapter 1: The New Beginning
A figure sat on a chair, in a room filled with green holographic technology and bluish-gray walls. The figure was typing on a keyboard, making the holographic screen pull up a watch looking device, and making a black goo with green circuitry morph constantly while suspended in a jar. DNA strands appeared on the screen with windows next to them showing 1s and 0s. A bar appeared on the screen, showing a download was in progress. As the bar was loading, the black and green goo morphed into a look alike of the watch that was on the screen. "Finally," the figure spoke through a voice filter, "After all this time, I've finished what those fools tried 210 years ago. Now to find the best suitable candidate." Pictures of teenagers appeared on the screen with one of them being a smiling green haired freckle faced boy.
Said boy was not smiling however. He was walking home when he was stopped by a bulking man that shouted, "I am here!"
"Wah!" the boy steamed in surprise, "Wh-what are you doing here All Might? Weren't you swarmed by reporters a few minutes ago?"
"Hahaha! I stand for peace and justice, not soundbites. Because I am All-pfft," the muscle man started before spitting out blood, causing him to deflate, "Young man, I came to tell you that those other heroes were wrong. If you didn't interfere, that other young man would've surely died. You also inspired me into pushing past my own limits to come and help."
"But it was my fault in the first place! I got in the way of your work, and that caused him to escape…"
"No, it was my fault. I should've made sure he was more secure. Now, altho what you did was heroic, it was indeed reckless and you could've been killed," the boy lowered his head further, "However, that's what school is for, to teach you to break those habits and create better ones." He looked up at the boney man with shining eyes filled with hope.
"You mean?"
"That's right young man, I will help you train so you can be ready to enter any hero school you want." The boy lifted his head to the sky, causing a geyser to come from his eyes and shooting him into the ground (exaggerations will appear for the Midoriya cries).
After they parted ways to their homes, the skeleton of a man sat in his recliner, typing up a schedule for the boy when he noticed he didn't know what kind of fighting style suited the kid. "He's such a fanboy that he might try and copy my style. I need to see if I can get him in with Gunhead. Hopefully I won't have to call *gulp* him," the man shivered. He looked at the time and was about to call it a night, when all the sudden his printer started printing something that he didn't know about. Walking over, he saw it was a file of some sort sporting a green hour glass on a black circle and words saying, "Plumber Training Camp Program." The other papers showed 6 kids and their personal information as well as why they were selected for the program. "... What did I do in a past life to deserve this?"
Meanwhile, other heroes were getting the same documents as him, with one in particular wishing he didn't "expel" all of his students this year.
The next day, the green haired boy was finishing his breakfast when there was a knock at the door. He got up and opened the door to see a man with shaggy black hair and baggy black clothes with a gray scarf. "Are you Midoriya Izuku?" the man asked.
"Uh, yes? Who are you, and why are you looking for me?" Izuku asked.
"My name's Aizawa Shouta and I've been tasked to interview you for a camping program for UA."
"What!? But I never applied nor have I heard of a camp!"
"Nobody has. Someone decided it would be a good idea to do this behind everyone's backs," the man walked in with Izuku closing the door behind him, "Let's start with the basics. It says here you don't have a quirk, correct?"
"No sir, I don't."
"Have you trained at all?"
"Not really? I never had anyone willing to help me with becoming a hero before, but someone finally offered to help me train yesterday."
"Why do you want to become a hero?"
"I want to save everyone with a smile, because it's the right thing to do. If you see someone needing help, and you have the ability to do so, you should offer that help to them."
'... Fuck, he's better than most heroes,' Aizawa thought, "Alright, last question. If you could help others and go on an adventure, but you'd have to leave everyone you care about, not knowing if they'll still be alive when you come back, would you still go?"
Izuku was about to answer, but closed his mouth to really think about it. On one hand, he'd be saving others, something he's wanted to do his whole life. On the other hand, He'd have to leave his friend and their families like his father did. After a few more minutes of thinking, he made his decision. "If I wouldn't be sure if they were safe? No, I wouldn't," Aizawa reached into his pocket, about to reject the kid when he spoke up again, "But if I knew for sure that they'd be safe, I'd go in a heartbeat."
Aizawa looked into the kid's eyes, seeing an emerald fire inside them, brimming with potential and determination. Aizawa for a second didn't see Izuku, but an old friend instead, and pulled out a piece of paper from the folder he had. "Fill out those papers with your mother and get packed. If you get permission, you'll be leaving for the camp tomorrow." The man got up and left, brought out his phone and called someone.
When they picked up, they were speaking through a voice changer to keep their identity a secret, "I hope your meeting was successful?"
"Yes it was, and why won't you tell me who you are?"
"All in due time, Eraserhead. Move onto the next one. I don't want these kids to get stuck in general studies like your other students."
'How does he know about that?' "Understood."
Back in the house, Izuku was going through the papers and what he might need at the camp. So far he has a scarf, a lighter, a box of pencils, a few notebooks, a first aid kit, and a hat. He was a bit worried about the kunai knives, grappling hook, and lock picking kit they asked him to bring, but was able to come up with scenarios where those items would be useful. What was really strange was that he was asked to personally bring all of his "Hero Analysis For The Future" notebooks. "How did they even know about those?" the green haired boy mumbled.
"Izuku, are you sure you should go to this camp? I mean, it's for the exact time until the day before the UA entrance exams," a green haired woman asked him, distraught.
"I know you're worried about me mom, but I need to do this. If I don't, I might never get another chance like this again."
"I know sweety, it's just… I don't want to lose someone else close to me again."
Izuku placed his hand over hers and looked into her eyes saying, "You'll never lose me mom. Remember that Hawaiian saying? Ohana means family, and family means-"
"-no one gets left behind or forgotten," the two finished together.
"And I'm pretty sure we can send letters to each other. Not to mention, you'll always have that necklace I bought you, so I'll never truly leave you as long as you have that to remember me by." Mrs. Midoriya hugged her boy, both crying so hard it started to flood the room. After drying their tears, the two left to get the remainder of the things Izuku will need. Finding kunai knives, a lock picking kit, and a grappling hook was surprisingly easy. The Bakugous had a grappling hook and lock picking kit due to Mitsuki's tendency to sneak over to Masaru's house when she was younger… Izuku and Katsuki were a bit put off with this explanation while the adults all seemed to reminisce about it.
When they got back from shopping, they double checked that he had everything for the camp and finished getting everything ready for tomorrow, including setting out a change of clothes for the next day.
In the morning, a van arrived in front of their apartment complex, confusing the two. "I thought we would've been driving there ourselves," Inko muttered.
Aizawa stepped out of the passenger side and said, "Midoriya, if you're coming, hand me the papers and get in." Izuku did as instructed and went inside to see five others there. A brown haired girl with permanent blush marks on her cheeks, a green haired frog looking girl, a purple haired kid that looked like he has insomnia, a floating t-shirt and pants, and a horse hooved girl with 2 horns coming out of her head. Taking a seat next to the brown haired girl, he looked around noticing a green hourglass in a black circle on a silver box in the corner.
"So, what are you in for?" the purple haired teen asked.
Izuku didn't know if the teen was joking or not, so he said, "Oh you know, the usal dissecting heroes' quirks and finding ways a quirkless person can take them out. How about you?"
Everyone stared at him, wondering if he was telling the truth, until the brown haired girl decided to take it as a joke and told everyone, "I sent someone out to space with my quirk."
Catching on, the frog girl spoke up saying, "I'm an alien frog princess that has come to conquer earth for my people's empire."
"I no good at Japanese. English?" the horned girl asked. Izuku translated what they were saying and translated the girl's response, "[I killed some people with my horns that I shoot out.]"
"I robbed a bank!" the invisible girl shouted getting into it.
Everyone laughed at this until the purple haired teen told them, "My quirk is brainwashing. I ask someone a question and they answer, I can make them do what I want. A lot of people say it's a villain quirk and that they should lock me up for having it."
"Oh my gosh, that's horrible!"
"It's not the worst thing they've done. The worst was that they banned me from talking."
"I don't get why they thought it was a villain quirk. I can come up with a few scenarios where your quirk could be the deciding factor," Izuku pointed out, "My name is Midoriya Izuku. What are your's."
"Hagakure Toru," the invisible girl told him.
"Uraraka Ochako, nice to meet you all," the girl with the permanent blush introduced herself.
"Hitoshi Shinsho."
"Asui Tsuyu, but just call me Tsu."
"Tsunotori Pony." The group of teens kept talking until they arrived around lunch time, and the doors were opened to reveal a room with black and green columns and bluish gray walls.
"Welcome, future UA students, to the Plumber Training Camp," said a big round gray-green suit with an hourglass symbol on the stomach and bubbles holding what looked like radioactive energy inside 2 spheres on the shoulders and 1 sphere on the head, with the voice coming out through a voice changer.
