Author's Note : I want to challenge myself to write 300 something words (under 300 is so hard lol) a day, and now is the perfect time, because it's SasuHina Month 2021! I am inspired by College n Curls-senpai, I adore her writing SO MUCH. I hope you've read a work or two of hers. Anyway, each day will be based on this year prompts, which can be accessed in tumblr!

The second time they met, he ignored her like the rest of the class. Because, she was no different.
Was she not?
They didn't care if his clan had been massacred into nothing a week ago. They just knew he was Uchiha Sasuke—the cool, aloof, and good looking prodigy.
The first time, it had been a week before the start of their academy years. That day, his family visited the exclusive Hyuuga compound and he only followed along obediently. He had felt he wasn't needed there, because the adults were talking to themselves, something about merging and the like. Not until this day, he finally realizes what the two clans had been discussing about and ironically it did happen in the future just not how their parents had envisioned it to be.
He recollects how he had been the first one requested to see the pond in the garden outside. At the time he didn't understand, now he does only a little. He remembers how Itachi had chuckled, the familiar crease of his eyes appeared in what he had assumed at the time was subtle joy. Now, he isn't so sure anymore.
Itachi had bowed his head, said something in a light tone but with no less respect, and next thing he knew, his brother's hand had held his in the right, and hers in the other.
So, the first time he met her, it had been himself, her, and Itachi in the middle, watching the pond in quietness, with Itachi's voice disclosing what Sasuke thought were Interesting facts about fishes.
She didn't speak a word, but she had smiled a lot, and her already wide eyes had widened everytime his brother finished a sentence.
Even after all this time, her smile remains the same as he saw it the first time.
