Chapter 1 Enter Akina
15 years after Shippuden
Akina stood in the door of her home. The storm was getting bad. Schools were closed and she was home from the hospital with the kids home. Her purple hair blew in the wind. Shikamaru was on a mission with Naruto and wouldn't be home for a day or two. Akina hoped the two weren't caught in the storm and that this storm might delay them. Akina closed her eyes as she smelled the rain. She always loved the smell of the rain. Akina sighed as she closed the door to her home.
"Mom." Akina turned towards the kitchen area to see her son and daughter standing in the door. Shikadi was a minature verision of his father with black hair pulled back into a ponytail but his eyes were her brown eyes. He was tall for his age. He acted like his father with the lazyness, but had his mothers smartness. Amara had Akina's purple hair and same eye shape and color as her fathers. She was the youngest. "No school?"
"No honey. And looks like we won't be going outside anytime soon." Akina said, coming up to her kids. The kids groan.
"This is a drag." Shikadi said. Akina chuckled.
"Mommy. Can you tell us the story of how you and daddy met along with the fight in the fourth ninja war?" Amara asked. Shikadi's eyes seemed to light up like his mom's did when they got excited.
"Yes please. We got nothing else to do." Shikadi said. Akina laughed lightly.
"You've heard the story 100 times and you still want to hear it? You heard it from me, your father, and grandmother." Akina said.
"Yes!" The kids said. Akina sighed and chuckled.
"Well. Let's go cuddle and I will tell you." Akina said. Shikadi ran to grab blankets as Akina and Amara grabbed blankets. They laid near the door with the blankets over them. Akina sat up. Amara had her head in her mother's lap and Shikadi laid out on the blanket on his back almost like how his dad would lay out. Akina smiled. She looked out at the outside. The memories of her past came back as she started to tell her children.
15 years before.
Tsunade was sitting at her desk looking at a letter she just got. She was staring at it as in not sure what to do. Long ago. She had a drunk one night stand with a man that ended up with her pregnant and had a daughter. Tsunade was not ready to be a mother and left the daughter with the father and didn't look back. Jiraiya, who was Akina's Godfather, checked in on her a lot and kept Tsunade informed. The girl was a Shinobe just like her mother was and was a medic ninja.
Tsunade stood up and walked to the window. Akina had sent a letter asking for protection and to be trained under her own mother. Akina's father was killed by her ex boyfriend and she was on her way. Tsunade looked out the window at the city. She thought that part of her past was behind her, but to find out what happened to her father and that Akina wants to train under her. She couldn't refuse. But Tsunade wasn't sure if she was ready to be a mom or let others know. Tsunade had let the elders know of Akina coming. They weren't sure about it but they were the only ones that knew about it along with Danzo, who seemed more quiet about this then the other two. Akina would be here any moment.
"My lady." Tsunade turned to see one of the guards standing there. "Akina is here to see you."
"Let her in." Tsunade said. The guard disappeared and a figure in a hood and cloak entered. Black gloved hands reach up and pull down the hood. A girl about 16 stood in front of Tsunade. At a glance you couldn't tell Akina was Tsunade's daughter. She had long purple hair that was held back by the Hidden Stone headband. The only thing she inherited from her mother is the brown eyes. Her outfit was a long sleeve red shirt that hung off her shoulders, with a black strappless corset that wrapped around and tied in the front with black shorts and ninja sandals. Tsunade saw pain in her eyes and they were bloodshot from crying. Scars and bruises ran across her face and arms. She had new cuts and scratches like she got into a fight on the way to the Hidden Leaf. "Leave us!" Akina watched with weary eyes as the guards stepped out. Only Tun Tun and Shizune remained. Shizune knew the truth of Akina.
"Hello, mother." Akina said. Tsunade frowned at the words as she sat at her desk. Akina approached the desk. "I was a little surprised you agreed to let me come." Akina stopped in front of the destk. She wrapped her arms around her and Tsunade didn't miss how uncomfortable she looked. Tsunade sighed.
"You seem to be in trouble and your still underage with your father being dead. I accept you as a trainer under me and staying at my place for now. Only us and the Elders will know who you truely are. We will keep who you are and... What you hold from now. I know Naruto knows about it. So we'll keep it for now." Akina laughed. "What's so funny?"
"So I'm still your dirty little secret again, mother. I stay here awhile and its gonna come out. I might not have your strength, but I got grandfather's Jutsu." Akina said. Tsunade's eyes widen.
"You have the First Hokage's Woodstyle Jutsu?" Shizune asked. Akina nodded. Tsunade was impressed.
'She's right. It's gonna be hard to hide that.' Tsunade thought.
"We will figure that out when that time comes. I got you an escort to show you around the Hidden Leaf and introduce you to people. He'll be in charge of you while your here until you get use to the place." Tsunade said.
"Whose the guide?" Akina asked. A knock on the door came.
"Enter." Tsunade called. A boy that was tall with black hair pulled back into a ponytail walked in. He was dressed in Jonin outfit and he had his hands in his pockets. His eyes look at Akina and she didn't miss that he didn't seem to smile. The boy raised an eyebrow at her. "Shikamaru. This is Akina. She has come from the Hidden Stone to join the Hidden Leaf. She'll be staying in my quarters till we find a place for her. I want you to introduce her around and show her around. And she'll go on missions with you for now." Shikamaru didn't look to happy about it.
"This is a drag. I got to show a newbie around the village." Shikamaru said.
"Excuse me. Newbie? I am a Chunin along with more training to be a Medic Ninja." Akina said, glaring at Shikamaru. Shikamaru looked the girl over. He noticed her eyes were bloodshot like she been crying since before she came here. She was pretty for a Ninja but his eyes hardened when he saw fading bruises and new ones. One even looked like a hand mark on her arm. Akina seemed to notice he was looking at the one bruise and quickly hid it behind her back.
'What's her history? And what brings her to the Hidden Leaf?' Shikamaru wondered. It made him what to get to know the new girl more.
"Fine. I'll show her around." Shikamaru said.
"Excellent. Akina." Tsunade said. Akina turned to look at Tsunade. "Remember what we talked about and here's your new headband since your joining the Leaf." Tsunade had a headband on the desk for her. Akina walked up to it. "Shikamaru. Show her where I'm staying so she can drop her stuff off. Your both excused from duties today."
"Yes, My Lady." Shikamaru and Akina said together. Akina took off her old headband and took one last look at it. Akina felt her heart sink. She left good friends behind without a word. She hoped she could see them again to explain everything. She let it slip through her fingers and let it fall onto the desk. She was leaving her past behind. Her father would not have been happy about it but she knew it was for her own safety.
'I just hope I'm not bringing him here.' Akina thought as she took the Hidden Leaf headband and put it in her hair. She tied it into a knot and turned to face the door. Tsunade watched as the two walked out.
"You think its a good idea to bring her here with her ex looking for her?" Shizune asked.
"I think its for the best. Her father was killed and Akina knows what message that sends. I think she's in good hands. Maybe Shikamaru will introduce her to new friends and she can have a better life here. I don't see her bringing to much trouble." Tsunade said.
After Akina dropped her bag off at Tsunade's residence. Her and Shikamaru walked through the village. Shikamaru showed her around, but he could tell her mind was somewhere else besides this place. It was like Akina's mind was ten thousand miles away.
"You hungry?" Shikamaru asked, pulling Akina from her thought.
"I..." Akina stopped as her stomach growl. She looked away. Akina hadn't eaten for a few days since she started her journey here. Shikamaru saw she was almost skin and bone.
"Come on. I'll buy us lunch at a good restraunt here in town." Shikamaru said. Akina looked at him with wide eyes.
"No. You don't have to do that. I can buy my own food." Akina said. Shikamaru reached for her but Akina pulled away from him almost flinching. "Sorry. I don't like being touched." Shikamaru's frown deepened. He opened his mouth to say something.
"Hey, Shikamaru." A female voice called. Akina turned to see a girl with blonde hair coming over with a boy with brown hair who was eating a bag of chips. "Whose the new girl?"
"This is Akina from the Hidden Rock. She'll be living here in the Hidden Leaf for now. Akina. These are my two friends. Ino and Choji." Shikamaru said.
"Hidden Rock? What are you doing here?" Choji asked.
"It's a long story, but I don't want to get into it." Akina said, giving a small smile.
"Girl. You look like you need to get something to eat. Come on. Choji is hungry as well and we can get some food." Ino said. Akina looked surprised. She didn't expect to feel welcomed here right away. Shikamara nudged her gently making her jump.
"Come on. She's right. Let's get you some food." Shikamaru said. Akina saw a smile on his face for once.
"Your buying right?" Akina said.
"I'm gonna regret it with Choji. He eats a lot." Shikamaru said with a sigh. Ino giggled and grabbed Akina's hand without warning and made her jump.
"Well let's go." Ino said, pulling Akina away. Choji looked at Shikamaru.
"What's her story?" Choji asked.
"Not sure. She's been quiet about it or avoids the question. All I know is I'm suppose to introduce her to people and show her around. Plus she'll go on missions with me when I go. She's from the Hidden Stone. We should follow the girls." Shikamaru said with a sigh. "This is a drag." Shikamaru and Choji go after the girls.
Akina looked at the shop. Ichiraku Ramen stood in front of her.
'Well Naruto. Your getting your wish. I'm trying out your favorite food.' Akina thought. Ino and Akina step in. The owner turned and smiled as Shikamaru and Choji soon joined them.
"Hey kids. Want some food. Whose the new girl?" The Owner said.
"My name is Akina. I'm from the Hidden Stone. Though I heard of your shop from one of your favorite customers." Akina said.
"Who would that be?" The Owner said.
"Naruto." Akina said. The Owner smiled.
"Well then. Your first meal is on me for being good friends with him. How's he doing?" The Owner said.
"You know Naruto?" Shikamaru asked as they sit on the stools as the Owner got the food ready for them all.
"His mentor is a family friend and my Godfather. I've helped out train with Naruto a few times before I came here. He always talks of Ichiraku Ramen and wanted me to try it out if I ever came to the Hidden Leaf." Akina said, looking at Shikamaru. Shikamara smiled. "So this your team?"
"Yes. We been since we were kids. Our fathers are good friends." Choji said.
"Now looks like we got a new friend. If you need anything girl wise, feel free to come to me. I'm sure this lazy boy won't help." Ino said.
"Hey." Shikamaru said.
"Thank you, Ino." Akina said.
"Let's get you to the baths after this. You look like you need one. Don't worry, Shikamaru. I'll keep an eye on her." Ino said as the Owner set bowls of food in front of the four. Shikamaru gave her a nod. Akina felt like she was being welcomed. She bit into her food and the food was real good. Akina groaned in hunger.
"It's really good. Thank you." Akina said. The Owner smiled with delight as Akina started skruffing it down as Choji was already on his second bowl. Shikamaru watched as she ate. The poor girl was acting like she hadn't eaten in a week.
"Get her another bowl please." Shikamaru said. The Owner nodded. "Slow down befroe you make yourself sick. When is the last time you ate?"
"A week ago since I started heading out and I haven't slept in a few days. I was being followed." Akina said as she ate. Shikamaru's eyes trailed to the hand print on her arm. Choji seemed to notice.
"What really happened?" Shikamaru asked. Akina looked at the handmark and turned her head.
"My father was killed in front of me as a warning. I sent a message to Tsunade, who is a family friend to see if I can come here and train under her. Please don't ask much more. I... I'm just not ready to tell more." Akina said. Shikamaru went to open his mouth as the Owner set another bowl in front of her. Akina shot him almost a death glare and his mouth shut. Akina started to eat. Shikamaru went to dig into his food again. "Shikamaru." Shikamaru looked at Akina. "Thank you for making me feel welcome and introduce me to your team."
"Your welcome. I'll introduce you to more people tomorrow. I don't want to overwhelm you on your first day." Shikamaru said. Akina smiled.
Afterwards after Akina and Ino got a hot bath in. Shikamaru walked her to the Hokage residence. They reached it.
"I'll be here tomorrow morning to take you to the hospital." Shikamaru said.
"Alright." Akina said. Shikamaru walked away. He looked back to see her step in and close the door behind her. Shikamaru sighed and left wondering if she was worth trying to find out more about.
Akina leaned against the door and closed her eyes.
"You sure this is worth the trouble?" A deep voice came from behind her. Akina's eyes open and she stood in a red room, standing on water. Akina sighed. "My little dragon." Akina turned to see a massive black dragon with red accents and gold eyes laying in front of her. The dragon instead of one tail had 10 tails. Akina was the Jinchuriki of the 10 tails Dragon. Its gold eyes were looking at Akina. There was no coldness or hate in his eyes. There was softness.
"I think we will be safe here for now, Mushu." Akina said. The dragon sighed. Akina walked up to him and put her hand on his snout. "We can hope, but for now. This is our home." The dragon laid his head back down on his paws.
"I hope your right, my little dragon." Mushu said. Akina was back in her new home. Akina sighed.
'But how will this village react to another Jinchuriki in this village.' Akina thought.
AN: I don't think you were expecting that. Heh heh. I do plan to have the other 10 tails, but it will be explained later on in the story. Till next time.
