The fight against Gaea and the Giants was finally reaching an end as Leo lifted her into the sky with Festus, but everything seemed to come to a stop as a strange presence like that of Hades or Thanatos began to fill the air.

That instant where nothing was moving was more than enough for Gaea to get the upper hand, wrestling herself free from the dragon's grip and falling back to the earth, bringing the mechanic and his bronze dragon down with her.

The three falling only took an instant, but an instant that felt longer than anything Percy had felt before, and he was helpless to do anything as he watched his mechanic friend come crashing down in a raging inferno that exploded with great fury

Jason and Piper were taken by the explosion, the son of Jupiter burnt to a crisp standing in front of the daughter of Aphrodite, trying and failing to protect her from the blast, they weren't alone in their demise, but they were the ones Percy knew best of the newly gone.

Frank and Hazel were next, knocked to their feet by the explosion, and consumed by the ground below them, by Gaea herself, their screams something that Percy would never forget. As more and more died, Percy could feel the dark presence growing stronger.

The Giants were finally dead, making the strange presence of death even greater. "Perseus, of the seven, only you remain! Unable to protect your precious spawn of Athena in my brother's realm, and unable to protect your friends here!" Gaea calls to an unwavering Percy, as a storm begins to rise from the ocean, large waves beginning to beat against the island.

"Perseus! Do not interfere in my domain, mere boy!" Zeus calls out to Percy, unenthused by the storm forming, but seemingly aiding in its growth.

Percy doesn't hear him and the earth begins to shake, the waters rising, eventually covering the island to Percy's knees. A large bolt of lightning comes from the storms above as both Poseidon and Zeus point their great symbols to the sky.

"You need some beauty sleep Granny! It'd be a shame to wake up after so long and still be this ugly!" Percy taunts the weakened Primordial, stumbling about as the strange presence begins to almost become visible to him, looking almost like the Death Mist. "Perseus! Though I may have to rest now! I will get you! You will be alone, unable to receive help from the friends you have made here!" Gaea says, slowly dissolving into the shaking earth as waves beat against her and bolts of lightning strike down.

As Gaea speaks, Percy begins to dissolve into nothingness, becoming a mixture of golden dust and mysterious mist as everything goes dark.

Percy wakes up in a strange place, being cradled by a pale woman with piercing blue eyes and long black hair. Next to her sits his father, Poseidon, looking down with a smile on his face.

Percy tries to speak, to ask where he is, but all that can be heard is babbling. Something is wrong, he looks at Poseidon and notices the man to be mostly made of crystal blue water, reaching out to the god in an attempt to touch him, to feel and see that he is not crazy, but he fails and only sees the hands of a small baby reach out.

"Oh look at our adorable son, wanting to play with his father." The woman holding Percy says, cooing at him before handing him to Poseidon. 'Son? I don't know this woman? Where am I?' Percy thinks, trying to speak to his father, but still, nothing comes out.

"He has a kind of a smile as yours my love" Poseidon says to the woman, taking Percy in his watery arms. 'Is this what Gaea meant by far from this place' Percy thinks to himself, trying to look around. "Why must you return to London Eve?" Poseidon asks the newly revealed Eve.

"I have to leave Greece Po, Gellert is ill and I don't think I would ever be able to see my father if I wasn't there to help his brother" Eve, someone Percy could only assume to be his mother, says with a sigh. "I know we've already talked about this, but why can't you come with us Po? At least until you have to leave"

Po, as Eve had been calling the god, begins to play with Percy's hair and sighs. "I can stay with you and Perseus until his 11th birthday in 1989… My family would never take me back if I stayed any longer than his acceptance to one of the magical academies." At least this time, Percy will get to spend a few years with his dad.

Eventually, Percy begins to feel his eyelids grow heavy and himself grow sleepy, letting the realm of morpheus welcome him.
