It's amazing how in one moment, everything is normal. You live a good life, and you don't have any troubles. But, the next moment, everything changes. It's one of those inevitable things. How do I know? Well, I've went through something similar. Oh, right, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Jeanine, Jeanine Duff. I was just an average, seventeen-year-old girl who had her own vlog and was obsessed with anime, drawing, and comedies. But, one average day, or more specifically, what I thought was an average day, my whole life changed in the blink of an eye. That day, me, my best friend, five other teenagers, and other people in town experienced a great change. Some for better, some for worse. But, before I tell you that story, I've gotta go back to a few weeks after I first moved to Acmetropolis from Earth. I think I was like four when this happened.

The year was 2758. It was my first day of preschool. It was the same for my older then five-year-old sister Anya and her other personality, Korra. You might be wondering what I mean by this. Well, my sister has dissociative identity disorder. This means that she has other personalities besides her. But, Korra would only appear if Anya was really stressed. Despite this, Korra was actually pretty funny! She always managed to entertain me when I felt down with her magic tricks in stuff. Korra insisted that she really did have magic powers, but I always thought she was joshing. Anyway, back to what I was saying.

We were waiting outside our house with my parents and my Granny June. "Ooh, this is it! My wittle baby-boos are starting preschool! It's their next big step in life!" said my mom. "Yeah, you should have seen my first day of preschool. It was epic!" my father said. "And it was epic due to him wetting himself from anxiety." Granny June said, and let out a laugh. Mom, Anya and I laughed alongside her. As for my dad, his face was red with embarrassment. At that moment, the bus arrived. Mom then gave me and Anya a kiss on our foreheads, and Dad and Granny June hugged us. They waved us off as we got on.

The kids on the bus stared at us as if we were aliens, so we just went to the back and were quiet for the rest of the ride. So, our first day was definitely not going well. When we arrived at school, we were shy. When we walked in, everyone was looking around the preschool dazzled. Then, we were called to sit down on the rug. The teacher, Mrs. (I don't remember her last name), told us, "Welcome to Acmetropolis Daycare, everyone. I'm Mrs. Now that you know me, I should get to know you." She made all of us come up one at a time.

When it was Anya's and my turn, Anya was excited, but I was overwhelmed. You see, the thing is, I have anxiety. When my sister and I went up there, the room started to spin. Time felt like it was slowing down. Then, the worst thing happened. While Anya was talking about me, one kid said, "Gross! The brown-haired girl wet herself!" At first, I didn't think much about the comment. Whoever that brown-haired girl is, I feel bad for her. I thought. But then, Anya poked me on the shoulder and mouthed "Look down." Do you know what I saw? A wet stain on my new skirt! All of the kids were snickering and whispering to each other. Anya quickly hurried up speaking about me and her, and we quickly sat down.

For most of that day, nobody talked to me. But, as for Anya, she managed to entertain others, and the other kids even got to see Korra for a while. But, back to me. As I said, nobody really talked to me that day. But at recess, that changed. This memory mainly stays with me, because thanks to it, I remember the day I met my best friend.

At recess, I was playing hopscotch alone. Anya would have played, but she was entertaining other kids as Korra. While I was playing, someone came up to me, and I was shocked by what I saw. Right before me, there was a seven-year-old girl who looked like a rabbit with black hair, a pink dress, and black Mary-Jane shoes. When I tried to say hello, the rabbit-like girl told me, "Hey, punk, what are you doing on my hopscotch board?" "Y-your hopscotch board? Well, I didn't see any names on it, so I guess it's mine." I didn't mean to, but this comment sent the girl over the edge. She instantly charged at me like a raging bull, but thankfully, I got out of the way before she reached me. There was only one place around me to hide in: a nearby tree. I instantly climbed up, and stayed up in the branches for a while. This is also when I met my best friend.

While I hid in the tree, I hummed a little song. But, while I was humming, someone told me, "Nice song, doc." I turned around to find another kid who looked like a rabbit. He had blue overalls, a white undershirt, gray fur, and blue shoes. I responded with, "Thank you, rabbit kid." The boy responded to me with, "Um, I'm a bunny, not a rabbit." I was slightly confused by this remark. "Um, so you're wearing a bunny costume?" The boy then laughed. "I'm not wearing a costume, this is my real fur." When I heard this, my first instinct was to scream. As I was screaming, he began screaming too. After a while, we both stopped.

The boy said, "So... now what?" I said, "Well, why don't we start over?" I then took out my hand. "My name is Jeanine. Jeanine Duff. What's yours?" He then extended his hand and shook mine. "I'm Ace. Ace Bunny. Where you from, doc?" the boy, I mean, Ace asked me. "I'm from Earth." Ace looked surprised. "You're from another planet?" he asked me. "Yes. I also have a question for you: why are you a bunny? Are you mutated?" I asked him. "I'm not mutated, but I am a descendant of Bugs Bunny." he responded. "Who?" I asked. "He was a famous entertainer, and worked among the Looney Tubes back in the 1900's. At least, that's how Mom described it to me." Ace explained.

At that moment, someone came up the tree. It was the rabbit girl from earlier. "Hey! Are you picking on my brother?" she asked. "Um, no." I told her, but she didn't believe me. She then said in a menacing tone, "You better not be picking on my brother!" Just then, she attempted to charge at me like she did last time. Thankfully, Ace managed to stop her. "Sonia, no! Jeanine's cool with me." The girl, Sonia Bunny, immediately stopped in her tracks. "Jeanine? Oh. You must be that kid from Earth. Some teachers told me two kids from Earth recently moved here." Sonia then shook my hand. "Sorry for the hopscotch thing. I have anger issues." She told me. "What?" Ace asked. "I'll explain later." I told him. At that moment, the end-of-recess bell rang.

Everybody hustled inside. Ace asked me, "So, you're the girl that wet herself?" I was surprised and a little embarrassed. "Yeah. How did you know?" I asked him. He said, "Your sister, Anya, told me." I sighed. "Oh well, that's the thing about Anya. She can be a bit of a blabbermouth, but you gotta love her." We then shared a good laugh.

And, that is how I met my best friend, Ace Bunny. We've been almost inseparable ever since. But one day, fourteen years later, something happened that changed both of our lives forever.

Note: Loonatics Unleashed does NOT belong to me. Characters like Ace Bunny do not belong to me. But as for characters like Jeanine and Anya Duff, Sonia Bunny (Ace's sister, who is not in the show), Mr. and Mrs. Duff, and Granny June belong to me. Also, the future chapters will have the point of views switched from time to time. Keep this in mind.
