Chapter 4: The Pirates Game

The next day, we met up at PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates play the Philadelphia Phillies and watch the Shady Side Academy Honors Choir sing the national anthem. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. "It is good to cheer on the Pirates with you, Max," Henri happily stated. "I am glad that I could come to this game, Henri," Max happily stated. "How is your car doing, James?" Justin asked. "Still not so good, Justin, but the good news is that I should get it back at the end of this coming week. You guys can drive us home again." After sitting in the stadium for a few minutes, Alex, Sarah, and I decided to get up and walk around a little bit. "This is my very first baseball game in a long time," Alex explained. "When was the last time you went to a Pirates game, Alex?" Sarah asked. "It was probably when I was still in high school, Sarah," Alex replied. "It's actually good that we are not sitting in the bleachers watching the game the whole time," Sarah stated. "Exercise is very important to keep my body healthy and in good shape. This made me regret being afraid to take gym class in middle school because I felt insecure about changing my clothes in front of others." "Now, I remember when my last Pirates game was," Alex happily stated. "I went the weekend before I performed with Angel and her band at the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center during my senior year of high school." After the baseball game was over, Carly, Spencer, and Mr. Benson joined us for Game Day back home. We listened to 98 Degrees and Lizzo on the way home from the game. We played fun games such as charades, Scrabble, sardines, Truth or Sing, Saran Wrap Prize Ball, and Nail Polish Spin the Bottle. Once the games were over, it was time for all of us to go to bed. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
