"What do you mean you can't get a hold of Tycoon?" Ace grunted as he got up from the couch and hastily headed to the exit.
"I meant what I said!" Neon exclaimed as she tried to keep pace with her companions.
"Aren't you two overreacting?" Michinaga scoffed. "The guy probably just wants some time to grieve and went off the grid."
"If he was, he should have told us!" Neon exclaimed.
"We're a bit worried for him, Buffa." Ace shook his head. "Especially the way he was fighting in the last battle."
"I don't think he was ever planning on surviving the fight." Neon recalled the fight against Sueru.
"He was taking hit after hit after hit, as if he had that invulnerability against Riders power of yours, Buffa."
"He's not that bad, is he?"
"That remains to be seen."
Via the DGP's teleportation system, which all three of them have been using, they immediately arrived at the Sakurai residence's doorsteps.
They knocked on the door but no one was answering.
"Call Tycoon's phone." Ace ordered.
Neon obliged and soon enough they heard a phone ring from inside.
"Tycoon, we know you're in there, open the door." Michinaga banged on the door.
"Are you Keiwa-kun's friends?" An elderly man called out to the three of them from next door.
"Yes, we were wondering why we couldn't get a hold of him," Neon answered. "We were really worried."
"He left yesterday," The man gave them the information they need. "He was carrying with him a backpack but he promised that he'll pay the rent so he doesn't want anyone else renting their apartment just yet."
"Do you have an idea where he could have gone to?" Ace questioned the old man.
"Sorry, I didn't bother to ask, I think he needed to leave this place for a bit, he's been sobbing every night since his sister didn't return."
"I see."
"Poor boy, first he lost his parents while he was on a school trip, now he presumably lost his sister."
"Wait you know them?"
"I was friends with their mother and uncle." The elderly man smiled. "There have been times when they couldn't pay the rent but I just let them stay for free, but they still make it to a point to pay for every month even if it's a week late."
"They've had it rough." Michinaga commented.
"Still, thank you for the information." Neon thanked the man.
The old man went back inside his apartment as Ace and the others went down the stairs.
"What now?"
"The soba shop!" Neon exclaimed. "Keiwa mentioned once that he was working part-time there."
"Is he still working there? Even during the shit show that was the Desire Grand Prix and Jamato Grand Prix?"
"I think so? He never mentioned quitting that part-time job." Neon hummed.
"He also didn't mention how or when he died." Ace pointed out.
"I still think you're both overreacting." Michinaga expressed his opinion.
"We've got nothing to lose if we check in on him there, right?" Neon asked.
"No, in fact, we've got a lot to gain by checking up on him."
