The camera opens up on a shot of a large warehouse on the film lot. The camera zooms inside the building to show rows and rows of television screens.
Justin is revealed to be sitting at a computer station amidst all this, sifting through various clips recorded around the film lot.
"C'mon, c'mon...", muttered Justin, as he watched yet another clip of Lindsay and Beth chattering away.
(Justin): I do my own editing for my videos I send to modeling companies, so going through every clip to find something to manipulate Trent and Gwen with is easy as pie. So far, the search has been less than fruitful.
As Justin clicks through more clips from the show, the sounds of footsteps interrupts him. He immediately darts away from the computer console, as Chris rounds a corner, hot coffee in hand.
Chris momentarily scratches his head at the file pulled up on the computer... then shrugs.
Justin is about to covertly sneak from the building when Chef walks by. Justin moves out of view, as Trent and DJ both appear as well.
As Justin watches, Trent motions to DJ to head over to Chef. DJ gulps to himself, then walks shakily to Chef.
"DJ, good, I was just looking for you, boy.", said Chef, gruffly, once he caught sight of the gentle giant. "We need to go over some more alliance stuff..."
"That's... actually what I wanted to talk about with you, Chef.", said DJ, his voice cracking.
"Oh, yeah?", said Chef, dangerously. "What exactly about?"
DJ breathed in, steeling himself. "I... don't want to be in an alliance with you anymore, Chef. I don't want to cheat anymore."
"DJ.", said Chef, grasping DJ's shoulder tightly. "Think about what your doing here."
"No, Chef. I'm done listening to you.", said DJ, growing more and more confident. "Consider this illegal alliance over."
And DJ left Chef to stew in anger.
Once DJ made it back to Trent, the former high-fived the latter. Trent was about to head off when DJ, when he caught sight of Gwen, walking a distance away.
He snuck behind her, and twirled her as if they were dancing. Although initially shocked by this, Gwen was laughing by the time Trent had dipped her.
"What are you doing?", said Gwen, looking up into Trent's eyes.
"What does it look like I'm doing?", said Trent, casually letting Gwen back up. "Charming my girlfriend."
"Well, you certainly succeeded in that.", said Gwen, before she began making out with him.
Justin, who had watched everything, came out of hiding and zipped away.
Cut to the cast trailers, where all the cast mates are lounging about the area. The sun was beating down harshly on their heads, as the humidity had reached an unbearable level.
As heat vapor swam about their heads, the cast tried in vain to beat the heat. Justin soon entered the area, and plopped down in a kiddie swimming pool filled with water and ice cubes.
Lindsay, who was leaning nearby, looked lazily up at the model. "Justin? Where did you go?"
"Silly Lindsay.", said Justin, condescendingly. "I was here the whole time. Now, are you going to talk or are you going to work."
Beth and Lindsay then began fanning Justin with huge palm fronds.
At the other end of the rec area, Heather grumbled, "I don't see why he's the only one to get the pool."
"Because he's perfect.", said Beth, dreamily.
The door to the girls' cabin soon opened, and everyone laughed at the sight of Leshawna with her hair frizzed out in a large afro.
(Leshawna): So what? My hair frizzes when it's too hot. Happens to everyone...
Trent and Gwen soon walk into frame, both of them holding hands with each other. As Justin gives a sly smile at the two, Leshawna attempts to wave at Gwen. Gwen just looks away, glaring.
Leshawna sighs. "Guess she's still made about the whole Duncan thing.", she mutters. Nearby, Heather takes notice of this friction between the two best friends, and smiles wickedly.
(Heather): Can't believe I'm not the one causing any sort of tension between Gwen and Leshawna. (gives another devious smile) They did it all by themselves. Something I'm glad to use to my advantage.
Leshawna is about to head back into the girls' trailer, when the loudspeaker squeaks into operation. "Good afternoon, campers! I hope you're having a splendid time in the dog days of summer! Why, I remember when I was a kid in August..."
"Get to the point, McLean.", said Heather, irritably.
"Well pardon me for having a nostalgic moment.", said Chris, sounding hurt. "Anyway, today's challenge will be held in the western themed set on the other side of the lot."
"Oh, I don't feel like doing anything right now.", said Owen, who had his shirt off and was lying on the ground the whole time.
"Well, if you don't, Owen, you'll miss out on this complimentary ice cream buffet I have set up.", said Chris. The camera then cuts from the loudspeaker to the spot where Owen was, now empty.
"Wow, I've never seen Owen move that fast.", said Gwen, smirking.
The camera then cuts to said western themed set, made up of several fake buildings to create a ghost town replica. The cast members, having had to walk all the way here in the unbearable heat, are practically dragging themselves through the set.
The only one who is actually crawling is Owen, a little ways ahead of the group. "Must... stay strong... for ice... cream!", Owen gasped out, as he dragged himself further and further.
Soon, the main group overtakes him, and he manages to stand up and follow them. He walks up to Izzy, and nervously says, "So, today's movie theme must be a western, right Izzy?"
"Of course. E-scope loves Westerns. She used to watch them all the time with her grandpa." She then gives a small peck on Owen's cheek.
"Um, aren't you still mad about me calling you a bad actor?", said Owen, confused.
Izzy gives him a blank stare. "Hmm... nope! I don't even remember half the stuff that happens three hours ago."
"Um, OK?", said Owen. "Never mind then."
The cast members are soon at the end of the line of fake wooden buildings. Harold wiped the sweat from his brow. "Where's Chris? And where's this supposed buffet?"
"Oh, c'mon, guys, he'll be here with ice cream.", said Owen, shrugging. "It's not like Chris to lie to us." Everyone gives either deadpan or outright incredulous looks at the big guy.
As the cast mills about, Heather sidles up to Leshawna. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice that you and Gwen seem to be on the... outs, so to speak.", the former says.
"Yeah? And what business is it of yours?", said the latter, crossing her arms.
"Oh, nothing. Just if things continue to go sour, you always have an enemy of Gwen's on the sidelines.", said Heather. Leshawna however merely rolled her eyes, and stalked away, causing Heather to scowl.
The sounds of metal clicking soon echoes throughout the faux town. The cast mates all look around in confusion, as a melodious whistling accompanies the clicking. A cowboy drops into frame, revealing Chris decked out in a cowboy costume.
"Howdy, partners!", said Chris. "Today's theme will be a good ol' fashioned western."
"Um, Chris?", said Owen, hopefully. "Where is the, uh, ice cream buffet?"
"Oh that...", said Chris, after a pause. "Yeah, that was just a clever lie to get you all here quicker. There's no ice cream."
Owen stares hopelessly into space, before scowling at Chris. Not used to seeing Owen with such an expression, Chris winces, then turns to the other cast. "For the first part of today's challenge, you will all need to get on a horse."
A pause, then Beth says, "That's it?"
"Well... not exactly.", said Chris, with a devilish smile.
Cut to a large corral, where a shed, windmill, and one very, very tall diving platform was standing. The dive board overlooked a target area, in the middle of which was the oldest, smelliest horse imaginable.
"You will need to jump off the diving board, and land successfully on the horse. Fail to do so, and you'll cost your team a point.", explained Chris, as all the cast mates were holding their noses from the horse's smell.
"Now, Killer Grips, you won last challenge, so you'll go first.", said Chris.
Trent turned to his team, and said, "All right, so who's up..."
"I'll go.", said Owen, still with a scowl on his face from being denied ice cream. He stalked to the diving board, pushing Chris out of the way as he passed by. "Hey, watch it!", said Chris, as he fell to the ground. Humorously, his hair (now revealed to be a toupee) fell off his head.
The cast all started to laugh at him. "What?", said Chris, hotly, pulling his wig back on. "My hair hasn't grown back since Duncan butchered it!"
Owen was soon looking out over the diving board. "Um, I think I changed my mind.", he said, nervously, his scowl gone for now.
"Just go already.", said Justin.
""You can do it, Big O!", yelled out Izzy. "E-Scope believes in you!"
Owen breathed in and out. "You did this last season, Owen.", the gentle giant said to himself. "This should be a piece of cake."
He then jumped off the board, going into a belly flop towards the horse. As he came closer and closer to the ground, the horse, realizing Owen's massive weight, simply stepped out of the way.
Owen hit the ground with a sizable crash, leaving an Owen-shaped indentation in the ground.
"Mommy...", came a weak voice from deep within the hole.
The scene then cut to an ambulance park outside the corral. Owen is being loaded up on a stretcher into the back of the vehicle.
Once the ambulance has pulled away, Chris grins at the rest of the campers, as if nothing untoward had happened.
"OK, so after that... happened.", he said. "Screaming Gaffers, you're up next. Who's going to take the plunge this time?"
The Gaffers all looked around at each other, visibly sweating. "Leshawna will do it.", Gwen said, suddenly, pointing at her best friend.
Leshawna looks shocked that Gwen chose her out of the blue, while Heather looks at them with a wicked grin.
Cut to Leshawna climbing the ladder to the top, glaring at nothing in particular.
(Leshawna): Maybe Heather was right; maybe Gwen is becoming a threat to me. (Shudders) Sorry, I do that whenever I admit that Heather had a genuine point.
Down at the base of the ladder, Gwen is staring up at Leshawna. Heather sneaks up, and whispers in her ear, "Nice work. Giving your former best friend a run for her money."
"Former best friend?", said Gwen, looking shocked. "She... she's still my best friend."
"Even after she voted off your precious Duncan?", said Heather.
"First of all, Duncan is not my precious.", said Gwen. "Second of all, that's all under the bridge." Even as she said this, Gwen didn't seem entirely sure.
"Whatever.", said Heather. "I just thought you should know that Leshanwa confided in me. She thinks of you as a threat now. I mean, why wouldn't she, now that you've sent her to do that dangerous stunt." She then stalks off, leaving Gwen to look up in worry.
Meanwhile, at the top of the diving board, Leshawna was looking in trepidation down below to the horse.
"OK, Leshawna.", she said. "There's no sharks this time; you should be fine." Despite this, whenever she tried to jump off, she stopped herself.
"Oh, for crying out loud.", said Heather, on the ground, as she began to climb up the ladder.
Once she reached the top, Leshawna glared at her. "What do you want, lean and mean?"
"Well, technically, I'm here to get you off this diving board.", said Heather. "Truthfully, I'm here to say that Gwen's still pretty mad at you for voting off Duncan."
"Why should I believe you?", retorted Leshawna.
"Oh, open your eyes, Leshawna. She sent you up here to do this dangerous stunt over everyone else."
Leshawna continued glaring, but there was a twinge in her eyes that said she somewhat believed Heather.
"Always remember, I may not be your friend, but I am always Gwen's enemy. And I am in desperate need for an alliance."
She turned to head back down the ladder, leaving Leshawna all alone. Leshawna, apparently getting some sort of resolve from the conversation, jumped off the platform.
She fell, screaming, waving her arms and legs all around, until...
She landed on the horse's back, clasping its torso in a death grip.
She peeked an eye open. "I made it? I made it!"
"Congrats, Leshawna.", said a nearby Chris. "You've just earned the first point of the game. Gaffers one, Grips zero; let's see how the next cast mates do!"
The episode then goes into a montage of several cast mates trying (and inevitably) failing to perform the challenge.
Trent lands with a sickening thud on a fence post, right between the legs. Everyone winces in sympathy.
Harold falls through the air, waving his arms and legs. He lands with a thud on the ground beside the horse. When he raises his dazed head, the horse proceeds to kick him in the face.
Lindsay and Beth have chosen to go together, and jump from the diving board, holding each others' hands. They fall screaming, only to land safely on the horses back. Chris gives a thumbs up to the smiling best friends.
Heather is next to go, and falls off the platform screaming. Everyone winces away from the horse, only for nothing to happen. Heather is nowhere to be seen.
The cast all looks around in confusion, before Heather clears her throat. It is revealed that she is hanging by her short shorts from a windmill on the barn.
Everyone laughs, as she scowls.
Chris is shown looking at a clipboard. "OK, we've got two points for the Grips, and one point for the Gaffers." He then shouts up to the top of the diving platform. "Gwen, if you don't make it on the horse, the Grips will have the edge in the next part."
Cut to Gwen looking nervously over the platform. She breathes in and out, then jumps from the platform.
Thud!!!
Gwen lands on her arm with a sickening crunch.
"Gwen!", yelled out Trent. He rushed to her aid, only for Gwen to wince away when he touches her arm.
"Ow, I think it's broken.", said Gwen, as DJ walks up. "I'll take her to the emergency tent, Trent. I'm the strongest now that Owen is gone."
Trent nods his head, as DJ scoops Gwen up and carries her off.
Justin watches this exchange, then grins an evil grin and snaps his fingers. "Bingo!"
"Bingo?", said a nearby Lindsay. "Isn't that the name of a dog?"
Chris has soon assembled the cast mates back at the fake town. "All right, partners.", said Chris. "For the second part of the challenge, we will be partaking in a favorite scene from countless westerns, the gunfight."
The cast all looks at each other in worry. "Don't worry.", said Chris, reading their thoughts. "We're not using real pistols... the network wouldn't allow it. Instead, we are using water pistols."
He picked up one of two water pistols from a nearby barrel, walked over to a water trough, and filled it up.
"Each team will have one gunslinger battle it out in this ghost town. The first cast mate to get shot, loses for their team."
At the Grips, Lindsay asks, "So, who should go? Trent?"
Trent, however, was looking exceedingly worried about Gwen, so Izzy spoke up. "Oh, oh, I should go! Remember how great I was with tranquilizer sharp shooting last season?" She then did an impression of a machine gun.
"Maybe that's not the best idea.", said Beth, nervously.
"I shall do it.", said Justin, cockily.
"Sounds good to me.", said Lindsay, dreamily.
Izzy rolled her eyes.
Meanwhile, at the Gaffers, Heather unexpectedly raises her hand. "I'll do it."
"Seriously?", said Harold, incredulous.
"Since when have you been a team player?", said Leshawna.
"Oh, I've always been a team player, Leshawna.", said Heather, silkily.
Cut to Justin and Heather eyeing each other across main street of the ghost town. They squint and sneer at each other, before looking at the clock tower.
It chimes noon.
Immediately, the two gunslingers began shooting at each other. The camera focused on several shots of water flying, the two making impressive dodges of the water, and of course close-ups on their glaring faces.
All the while, the present cast members and Chris watched while eating popcorn.
Hiding behind a barrel, Justin squirts his gun, only for nothing to come out. He reacts in surprise for a moment, then smiles wickedly.
"Come out of there, pretty boy.", said Heather, advancing towards the barrel. "I've got you cornered with no ammo."
Justin rises from behind the barrel, his shirt off and a dazzling smile on his face. Heather looks at him dreamily for a second, then switches back to a glare. "You think th-that's gonna work on m-me?"
Justin then proceeds to pull some pretty impressive modeling poses.
Heather switches back from dreamy to glaring expressions, before finally sighing and settling on dreamy.
Justin walks over, and seems about to give Heather a kiss, when...
Squirt!!!
Heather looks down to see that Justin has taken her squirt gun and used it on her.
The Grips all cheer, while Leshawna and Harold glare at Heather.
Cut to the infirmary of the film lot. DJ is just walking out, when Leshawna appears. He holds the door open for her, and she enters.
Leshawna's shadow hovers over Gwen's bed, who's arm is now in a cast.
"We need to talk.", Leshawna said.
Back at the cast trailers, Heather is seated at one of the picnic tables. Harold and DJ soon walk past, glaring at her and whispering.
Heather sighs, then catches sight of Leshawna and Gwen walking in the distance. They seem to be arguing, though from this distance Heather can only hear a faint blah, blah, blah...
Finally, Gwen stalks off from the argument, leaving Leshawna to fume. Heather looks overjoyed.
Cut to late that night at the awards ceremony. Chris is looking from his podium out over the five remaining Gaffers.
"The first gilded Chris' of the evening goes to...", began Chris. "DJ and Harold!"
Heather looks confident, as Leshawna and Gwen glare at each other.
"The next statuette goes to... Leshawna!" Leshawna deftly caught hers, as Heather looks somewhat caught off guard.
The camera zooms in on Heather's confused and Gwen's worried faces.
"Gwen!", called out Chris, throwing the statue at the goth girl.
"What?!", said Heather, standing up in fury.
Leshawna and Gwen suddenly burst out laughing. "What, did you really think we'd vote for each other over you?", said Gwen, snorting with laughter.
"But... I saw... you guys fight...", babbled Heather.
"Oh, that.", said Leshawna. "We made up in the infirmary. We just pretended to fight in front of you, then convinced Harold and DJ to vote for you behind your back."
"Not that we needed much convincing.", said Harold.
Heather stammers for a moment, then grunts in frustration, stalking away to the lame-o-sine.
Cut to later that night, back in Chris' private video editing room. Justin is once again in front of a giant monitor, reviewing footage.
He soon smiles when he finds recordings of Gwen and DJ in the infirmary.
Gwen was rubbing her bright red arm. "Oh, it really hurts!"
"Don't worry, the doctor's coming.", said DJ.
Justin pauses the video. "And now for some quick editing...", he said, deviously.
