Guest: I know its apart of Lancelot's Saint Graph, but it feels both like a joke and cruel. His greatest mistake now apart of him he can't get over.
Dis0rd3r: Consequences are already building up from Sonic's presence, and now the powers of Sonic's world are making themselves known.
The Servants really are enjoying a master who can fight on their level, usually they have to worry about defending their master and can't go all out, but now they can.
As for Conceptual Defences, I'm still planning for exactly what conceptual stuff Sonic has and how Chaos powers interact with that.
clownreaper96: Yea thats going to be a shock, but Sonic's Solomon is completely different from Fate's Solomon.
ENDDRAGON369: I do like that Time Eater theory, it makes the most sense and implies a piece of Mephiles is still out there.
Those do seem important, but I may have to completely just change a lot of events as most are made more for game, then story. I'll have to see what I think later.
Lord Metallex: Dread it, run from it. Destiny still arrives, or should I say… Part 2?
The Counter Force could try killing Eggman, but as much as he's a threat, if he conquered the world, Humanity would keep progressing and even reach the stars. So the Counter Force wouldn't target him.
shadowfox219: Salter cannot accept the idea of a decent Merlin, and can you blame her? I'm really enjoying writing the character interactions, I love both Sonic and Fate so even writing just casual interaction is great!
As for how they'd react to Chao Garden's, everyone would want a Chao, even Gilgamesh would want one. Chao are super adorable, and the fact they can pick up traits from their owners as well.
Luckenhaft: The game has changed, and everyone is adapting.
rednumber39: Sonic is currently unaware of Sage's survival, and he almost died on the islands. Had to discover the history of an entire species being genocided, an entire planet gone. He appreciated the time with his friends, but that adventure has left some trauma.
Legendary Destroyer Ice: What happens will Tiamat will not be revealed till Babylonia. Sorry about the short chapters, I'm not good at writing long stuff.
As for Sonic's strongest form, Hyper Sonic. It uses seven Super Emeralds, buffed versions of the Chaos Emeralds by the Master Emerald's power, only makes sense for it to be the strongest form.
The many mothers will be horrified, and I can see some conflict happening over it. But Mobians are built differently from humans, they're much more powerful. Isn't Sonic himself only like 15 years old? That or 16 and both of those are… Pretty bad to be fighting for your life since he was even younger. He's been fighting Eggman for years, which at best could be 12, at worst even younger.
Guest: Dude, Mashu is simply an alternate way of saying her name, if it bothers you sorry I'm not changing it. And Mashu has in lore reasons to call basically everyone Senpai, even a cross dimensional hedgehog.
Ultima-owner: They contain Wisp powers, but what they fully do and how they're created will be explained later.
Sonic needs his chili dogs, they're his thing.
BlackFox1999: Romance isn't something I plan to be a big thing, it may be mentioned a lot of Servants being interested in Sonic or tricking him into dates, but this is not a romance story, its an action/adventure story.
Sonic is a fascinating character, he just needs to be written correctly. Cu saw Sonic fight Medusa Alter and two Shadow Servants, he knows Sonic is strong and all the others are seeing shows of his strength. There will be Servants who try protecting Sonic or think he's weak, but most are to combat experienced to underestimate Sonic.
I believe any crossover can be well done if you respect both series, and things change from the merging. An entirely new power system would change things, making some foes weak and others stronger.
Tails rubbed his eyes, he had been flying The Cyclone all over the Starfall Islands trying to detect any Chaos Energy yet nothing but residuals could be found. No hints to Sonic's presence ether, the portals were still active and could be turned on (Not that Tails could go in there, Sonic was the only one able to enter and leave those portals casually).
He was tired, but he couldn't stop searching, Sonic had to be somewhere! Chaos, he wished Sonic would come home already. It was alright when the little fox was exploring on his own, because he knew he'd return home to find Sonic waiting for him, but with Sonic gone… The world seemed just a little more dull.
He clenched his fist, no! He wasn't going to fall into despair again! He failed Sonic before during the war, he wouldn't fall into that mindset again! He was a hero, someone Sonic saw as an equal and his brother, he wouldn't give up!
Brrrrrrrr!
Tails ears twitched, that sounded like an engine, but his plane was currently parked? He looked about, and his eyes widened at a familiar and worrying sight drifting in the air. An Egg-Carrier!? That wasn't good! Eggman had been quite since the Starfall Islands events, and now he was showing up on the islands again? Was he after the Ancient's technology?
Tails quickly looked over his plane, it'd be decently hidden under the trees so as long as Eggman didn't come to this area, it'd be safe. He took the sky, his twin tails twirling behind him as he rushed to where the Egg-Carrier seemed to be landing. Ouranos Island.
By the time he'd arrived, Eggman had already departed from his ship with a group of Badniks and Egg-Pawns. He stayed quite, observing from behind a rock.
"...Flux to high… Signals are conflicting… I'll destroy them… Badniks! Spread out! I want the source of those signals found yesterday!". Eggman muttered quickly to himself, before loudly announcing his demands to the badniks.
Tails tensed, destroy them? That wasn't good, he'd need to go get help and-
Why, why does he need to go run and get help? He's a hero, he protected Station Square, fought badniks, fought Metal Overlord, fought Chaos, and yet he's hiding now!? No, Tails wouldn't disappoint his brother again, and leapt out from behind the rock.
"What are you up to Eggman!". He asked, his fellow scientist seeming actually surprised with his presence.
"Tails? What in the world are… No, it doesn't matter, Egg-Pawns! Destroy him!". Eggman ordered and Tails smirked, instinctively moving to avoid an Egg-Pawn's lance and then smashing it with his tails.
He flew upward to avoid some energy blasts, and homing attacked nearby Egg-Pawns. Eggman however wasn't a genius for nothing, he knew his Egg-Pawns while dangerous to normal folk, would be defeated with ease by Tails. Leading to him rushing into the Egg-Carrier for something more… Fitting.
Tails however was to distracted fighting the Egg-Pawns, he was clumsy and he knew it. He'd been in the role of a scientist for to long, and his combat skills had paid for it. He was still a skilled fighter, but he frowned as he was having more trouble then he expected.
Woo-hoo-ooh-hoo, oh yea!
Di-di-da, di-di-da, d-di-da-da-da-da-da-da-n, oh!
Tails eyes widened, he knew only one mech that played that theme song. He quickly finished off the last of the Egg-Pawns, there wasn't enough time to reach the Cyclone, not good!
"Ohohoho! Lets see how you like this!". The prideful voice of Eggman laughed, driving one of his most iconic mech's out of the Egg-Carrier. "Lets see how you deal with the Eggwalker!".
Tails frowned, he didn't have any gadgets besides the Miles Electric on him, and the chance of Eggman letting him reach the Cyclone was low. He'd have to deal with this himself. He had to leap above a missile fired by Eggman, and use his tails to slam another away.
Eggman grinned cruelly, firing more missiles towards Tails, and pressed a single button. The mini-gun activated, firing dozens of bullets towards the young kit. But Tails had adventured with Sonic, and while he lacked the speed to dodge every attack, he had something else. Flying into the air, he began to fiddle with the Miles Electric.
"Not so fast, get a load of this!". Eggman pressed another button, the front of the Eggwalker beginning to glow and fire a large beam of energy towards the flying fox. The young hero's eyes widened, allowing himself to fall to the ground to avoid the beam. It hurt his knees, but he'd be fine.
Brrrzzt!
Eggman flinched, electricity sparking across the control of the Eggwalker, the fox brat had hacked his machine! But slowly a smile spread across his face, it seemed it was time to unleash his greatest trump card!
"Activate the new Cyber-Security!". He spoke to a microphone on his machine, yet there was a strange gentleness to his voice he lacked with most of his badniks.
Tails eyes widened as the screen of his Miles Electric turned red and black, transforming into a stylized symbol that looked like…
"...Sage?". He uttered with disbelieve, a feminine voice coming from his device, speaking to both him and Eggman.
"Father, would it not have been better to talk to Tails instead of instantly going to a fight?". The voice of the supposedly dead AI asked, causing both Tails and Eggman to meet each-others gaze, one disbelieving and the other unwilling but having to accept it (Because his dear daughter had decided it would be a good idea to disable the Eggwalker so he'd have to talk).
"Fine! Rodent, come with me!". Eggman hopped out of his mech and began walking into the Egg-Carrier, and despite his instincts screaming it was a horrible idea, Tails followed after him.
"I first began investigating these signals a few days ago, believing them to be some sort of residue of The End. But as I researched them further, I came to discover they had more similarities with the Time Eater, distortions in time-space". Eggman explained as they walked through the Egg-Carrier, Tails was frowning. He understood how dangerous the Time Eater was, it had taken two Super Sonic's to take it down after all, if something similar to it existed…
"Do you have any idea whats causing it?". Tails asked, looking over some of the projects he saw behind each door, some he recognized, others he didn't. He quickly spread up when he saw a room with Metal Sonic inside, the robot currently deactivated in a pod.
"Of course I do! But the real issue is figuring out which of my ideas is accurate!". Eggman finally stopped at a large closed door, entering a code into a keypad causing it to open. Walking into the room, Tails had to stop himself going starry eyed at the technology around him. "It could be the Time Eater itself, the Time Stones, Little Planet, or even that damn psychic! It could even be something completely new!".
Eggman typed a few things on a keyboard, causing a screen to glow up with maths and science no ordinary person could understand, but…
"It's a completely unknown energy source that is capable of bending space-time! Or rather, a being doing it!". Tails was a genius of his own, one who rivalled the mind of Eggman himself. The evil genius smirked, he could use this.
"Indeed, its not chaos control or Silver's time travelling, but it is undoubtedly a living entity doing this!". Eggman typed some more details down, and an Egg-Pawn stepped into the room, offering the doctor large vaguely pill shaped containers. Eggman took one and inserted it into his computer, while Tails eyes narrowed, that was…
"Your still messing about with Hyper-Go-On energy? Didn't you realize your lesson from last time Eggman?". The young genius asked, but Eggman just turned to him and smirked.
"Oh but I did Tails, I always do. Before when I took Hyper-Go-On energy, it resulted in the mutation into Nega-Wisps, but my new process simply gathers the Hyper-Go-On energy in the air and shapes it into Colour powers! It may not be as fast, but I have a virtually unlimited supply of energy thanks to all the Wisps now residing on our planet!". Eggman gloated, Tails eyes widened, it was genius but terrifying. Eggman knew Sonic always fought fiercer when someone was in danger, yet with his new method he had near unlimited energy and didn't trigger Sonic's anger.
"Thats… Genius". It was bitter to admit, but Tails had to admire the genius of the man before him. It really was a shame Eggman was so devoted towards taking over the world, the good he could do…
"Oh I know, but now". The evil genius activated a machine, a faint buzzing noise beginning to echo around the room. "The space-time distortions have appeared in Station Square, Angel Island, Green Hill Zone, The Final Egg Fortress, A Gaia Temple, and even the ARK… It's lead me to a concerning result".
Tails eyes widened, there was only a few things those all had in common.
"Sonic, there all areas Sonic's been to!". Tails had to suppress a surge of panic, was this a result of Sonic disappearing who knows where with the Chaos Emerald? "But why? Why would someone be going to all these areas and-".
Tails was cut off by Eggman, the genius having a concerned expression.
"Observation, someone is trying to learn everything they can about Sonic. Other space-time distortions have appeared in areas Sonic's been to, more specifically area's Sonic has transformed into Super Sonic, or large feats of Chaos Energy manipulation have occurred". Eggman's computer had an image of Super Sonic, Sonic, and even the werehog transformation. "They're trying to learn Sonic's weaknesses, his strengths, his greatest feats and his lowest failures. It almost reminds me of Starline".
Tails shivered, remembering the monster and what he had done… If anyone reminded Eggman of Starline, they were bad news.
"But why, your the only one who'd have this kind of grudge against Sonic". The kit asked, causing Eggman to frown.
"And that is whats so concerning, wherever Sonic's disappeared to, he's made a powerful enemy". The doctor smiled when Tails eyes widened. "Did you think I wouldn't notice my greatest enemy disappearing? I would've jumped onto this chance usually, but it had to come at a bad time…".
Eggman's gaze quickly went over to a computer, the stylized symbol of Sage glowing softly on it. Tails finally took the chance to ask a question he wanted to know.
"What happened with Sage? We all thought she was destroyed". That familiar surge of guilt returned, he had never really gotten to know Sage, but she had been willing to sacralise herself for the world, for her precious people, for her family… He could understand that.
"It was close, but pieces of her data still existed. I managed to piece… most of her together. But her ability to create a physical body is gone, I had thought Hyper-Go-On could…". Eggman trailed off, remembering who he was in the presence of. "She's stuck in the world of computers and code for now, but I am attempting to create her a new body. But her energy consumption is absurdly high, she's truly her father's daughter! Her processing power is so great that it surpasses anything I've created before, but it consumes an absurdly high amount of energy".
Eggman laughed, pride colouring his words and Tails could only stare at him in shock. He knew Eggman cared for Sage, but seeing him so prideful of her was strange, he hadn't even compliment his own genius once!
"So you were here trying to find a space-time distortion then?". Tails asked, the other genius frowned and activated another screen, showing camera's around the different Starfall Islands, moving about, likely Badniks.
"Its the strongest source, The End damaged space-time around it, making it the easiest way to enter our reality". Eggman brought up another image, causing Tails eyes to widen. A black vortex was in the air, swirling with energy. It gave Tails a bad feeling. "It's not visible without a special lens, and when I tried sending badniks through, it was like nothing was there. It may work differently on living creatures, but I am unsu-".
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The Egg-Carrier shook, explosions echoing around the ship.
"STATUS REPORT! WHAT AREAS OF THE SHIP WERE DAMAGED, WHO'S OUR ATTACKER!?". Eggman demanded into a nearby mic, and some speakers spoke.
"Colour capsule storage, ring storage, weaponry, and Brzzt! Damage to reactor, Red Ring Reactor has been damaged!". Sage spoke, Eggman's face becoming a mix of fearful and enraged, if the reactor went down, Sage would…
"SEND ALL BADNIKS TO DEFEND THE REACTOR! I WANT METAL SONIC TO BRING ME THE INTRUDER'S HEAD ON A PIKE!". The enraged doctor shouted, Tails had already run off to find what was attacking them.
Tails rushed through the halls of the Egg-Carrier, smoke beginning to blow through the but the little fox just ignored it, arriving at a large room with crates blown about and damaged, revealing large amounts of energy rings and the same Colour power capsules Eggman had revealed earlier… Did he mention the black vortex absorbing hundreds of rings and colour capsules?
His eyes widened, but an idea quickly sprung to mind, grabbing a capsule with a design of a familiar Nega-Wisp on it and an Energy Ring.
He crushed the capsule against the ring and tossed it towards the black vortex, the power of the ring and the Colour power combining to enhance one another.
BURST! VOID!
The moment the glowing violet ring hit the vortex, it shifted into a glowing black hole and energy cackled around it, the vortex and black hole mixing and cancelling each other out. Tails let out a sigh of relief, he wasn't sure that'd work and was lucky it did.
He looked over the room, hundreds of Colour Power Capsules and Power Rings had been taken, he couldn't think of any good reason someone would need so many…
Sonic yawned, he had woke up way to early today. He may enjoy running, but sleeping was nice as well. But Da Vinci had wanted him for some reason this early, and thus the hedgehog was in here lab.
"Alright so… what do you need?". Sonic yawned mid sentence, but Da Vinci just turned to him excitedly, and presented him a box.
"Your new equipment for the Singularity, put them on!". Da Vinci spoke excitedly and Sonic raised an eyebrow, opening the box and looking surprised.
"Shoves and gloves?". Sonic looked over them, they looked like his ordinary shoes and gloves, but something about them felt off.
"Put them on, they're mystic codes designed to help you fight!". Da Vinci watched excitedly as Sonic put the shoes and gloves on, doing a quick run around the lab to test the shoes. "Each is durable enough to clash with Noble Phantasms, since you refused to wear armour. The shoes should keep up no matter how fast you run, and should enhance the power of your kicks. Here, test it on this!".
Da Vinci presented Sonic with a pile of bricks, and the hedgehog smirked, rushing forward and bringing his foot down, smashing through the bricks with ease. The Caster smiled, and explained what the gloves did.
"Next are the gloves, they have two abilities. Instant enhancement, letting you quickly send a surge of Chaos Energy to a Servant, boosting their abilities. Next is sword projection, letting you create a sword of Chaos Energy, a bit easier then using your fists against swords and spears yes?". Da Vinci explained and Sonic held out his hand, a sword of sparking blue Chaos Energy forming.
Giving it a few practice swings, Sonic had to admit this was good. The fact he could summon and de-summon it anytime solved one of the issues he had with weapons, the fact they could make running difficult.
"Heh! This is going to be great, if only Shadow could see me now, he's always saying he can wield weapons better then me, but I'd like to see him say that now!". Sonic grinned, he was ready for anything now.
"These Mystic Codes are apart of the Camelot set, a fitting name don't you think?". Da Vinci teased and Sonic laughed, a fitting name indeed.
