Hey. I'm back. as I said last chaper, I took a week off to back my mind. while I'm not better per say, but I promised that I would return today, so I'm here.
I thank you for everyone who wished me get better, and this means a lot for me.
last chaper Lincoln revenged his sisters and brutaly paid back.
I received any questions this week, so let's get to the chapter!
DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Loud House
Me, Lori, Lana and Lola had to dig holes on the ground in the graveyard that Lincoln an Lynn had made, although Luna wanted to help us, Lori didn't let her, she was still weak and needed to rest.
We needed to bury Lucy, Lisa and Lily. Poor kids. What happened was like, so sad, I was crying the whole time, I didn't understand how someone could do something so mean, and to kids!
Lincoln had set off hours ago, and still didn't returned. We were so worried about him, it was already night, and we were waiting for him at the entrance of the bunker, we had lost four siblings that day, we didn't wanted one more.
Our prayers proved successful when we saw in the dark, a figure approaching. Lori had a gun that she had from the jeep we stole in hands to protect ourselves, but when we recognized the slim build of them, we quickly figure out it was Lincoln.
He had the helmet of the armor in one hand and in the other… a bloody human skull, still attached to its spine. I would faint for seeing something like that, but I already had saw the state our siblings were when we found them.
We get on our feet, as we were sitting on the ground when he walked up to us. His beautiful white hair was entirely tinted red, I stopped myself from asking if he had tinted his hair when I realized what was that red liquid he was completely bathed in.
"Lincoln?" Luna asked with concern.
"Are you alright?" I asked. He slowly looked down and nodded.
"It's done." He said throwing the skull by our feet, the twins shared disgusted looks.
"What… you did?" Lori asked slowly.
"Retribution." Lincoln said clearly. "Let's go inside. We need to pack all our essential things." He said.
Lori lifted one eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
"We're not staying on the bunker." Lincoln spoke. "It's not safe staying anymore."
"And, why would we do that?" Lori Spoke placing her hand on her hips, assuming her Sargent mode. "Who gave the authority to do this?"
"Me." Lincoln spoke coldly. He walked up to Lori, accentuating how tall Lincoln got, he was looking down to Lori as she, tried to remain the authority figure. "If you didn't authorized Lisa on making the expeditions outside, Lynn, Luan would be alive, Lucy, Lisa and Lily wouldn't have been brutalized, our home would be safe from outsiders and I would have my child born!"
With each thing Lincoln added, Lori shrunk in place, and by the end her authority figure completely vanished.
"L-Linc…" Lori whispered, she was clearly in the verge of crying.
"I'm taking the leadership from you Lori." He said. "Do you object it?"
Lori was trembling, not by fear I assumed, but by sadness, I think, she shaked her head and bit her lower lip to resist the urge of crying.
"Good." Lincoln said. "We're leaving. Pack your things, just the essential, we'll leave the bunker forever."
"And were are we going exactly?" Lola spoke sassy. Lincoln gave her a look that made Lola change her demeanor instantly.
"We'll find a new safe place to live. Away from anything. And anyone."
"Lincoln, you need to calm down." Luna spoke placing a hand on his shoulder. "And you need a shower too."
"Okay, everybody is dead." Link spoke, looking at the dead Slavers.
"That was fun." Cassie spoke jumping in place, she was totally pumped up.
"That was the our part of the deal." Loud spoke, looking at Link, Haro and Tower. Link smiled, and they saw Himiko walking in with her rifle in hand.
"Hey Himiko," Link greeted. "everyone is dead." He spoke.
"Good." She spoke walking to her friends.
"Well, welcome." Link spoke to the trio. "We're doing put part now." He said smiling. "Welcome to the band."
"We're not going to team up." Loud assured, Link ignored that and he and his friends started walking. Tower looked at the trio and motioned to follow them, Loud, Cassie and Maria did so.
"Oh, it's good to be home." Link spoke as he led the trio to the entrance he mentioned. He was right, the Slavers didn't came even near that part of the building, it was a rusty door in the end of a corridor, and it had nothing special looking in it.
Until Link grabbed the door handle and pushed forward, the door flipped up like a dog door, revealing a stairway to the lower levels. The four new allies led the trio downstairs, until they arrived on a small hall with a sofa and a TV.
"Welcome to our home." Link spoke. "This is the main room, where we chill out. There's no TV signal, but we have video games." He pointed to the TV with a videogame plugged into it.
"Cool!" Cassie cheered.
While the twins went to do their own business, Tower and Link led the trio to a kitchen.
"Here's the Kitchen, Tower passes most time here." He Said, as Tower went to the fridge and grabbed a carton of eggs and placing them in the table. He started to crack some of them with extreme expertise, using one hand to crack and the other to mix them into a bowl.
"Oh, preparing the omelet we mentioned, huh Tower?" Link made a friendly tap on his arm. Tower simply nodded and motioned with the head to the trio.
"Okay, he's making for you guys, cool big guy, I'll continue showing the place for them, we'll be back in time to you finish ok?" Tower nodded at what Link spoke. "Cool, hey, come, I'll show you one of the most important rooms here in HQ." He spoke, leading the trio outside the kitchen and back to the corridor.
"How do you have eggs?" Maria asked. "Hell, any food at all?"
"He have a henhouse for the eggs and meat." Link spoke simply. "I'll show you later, oh, and I hope you guys like chicken, because our cows are just for milk." He warned with a playful tone.
"You have cows!?" Cassie asked surprised and excited.
"Yeah, we have, in a farm near here in the dam. We sealed the access to the farm for the outsiders, leaving only one entrance, and it's here on the dam. It was a tedious job, but we did it. And with the farm at our total disposal, we started planting all sorts of plants. Fruit trees, vegetables, rice, soy everything we could get our hands on." He explained as they went down the corridor.
"It's a miracle." Maria spoke. "I though that the irradiated land wouldn't bear fruit never more."
"A miracle?" Link spoke, spinning in place to look at Maria. "Oh, no, non, não, nei, nein! It's not a miracle, it's science!" He shouted with enthusiasm. "In order to make the soil fertile again, I had to create a new liming technic that uses a base of sodium bicarbonate and then ionize the soil, effectively sucking all the traces of radiation left in the soil!"
The three remained in silence. "I didn't understood half of those words." Cassie spoke. Link chuckled.
"I also can show you the farm later." Link said, turning around and resuming walking. "These are the twins' room" He said, pointing to a door in the corridor. "Haro lets other people enter the room, Himiko don't." They continued walking. "This is Tower's room, but as I stated, he barely uses it." They passed the oddly large door. "This is my room." They passed another door. "But I also pass almost my entire time in my workshop." They finally stopped at one of the doors.
"Ok, this is the most important rooms in the entire HQ!" He spoke and opened the door. It was the bathroom.
"You have your priorities straight." Maria joked.
"You said you have a workshop?" Cassie asked.
"Workshop, laboratory, comand center, you name it. I pass most of my time there. Do you wanna see?" He questioned.
N/A: I don't have much to add here, I presented my version of the Hoover Dam, that has a farm near it to tie with the future of the story.
next chaptwr will be entirely on the past, and will be very heavy, you will be surprised!
