The chair was pressing into her bottom and the several layers of her dress were restricting fresh air to her already sweaty body. Sakura uttered the script in a whisper under her breath, although she knew the text by heart, to make sure everything would work out correctly this time.
Everyone was tired and wanted to go home, but they had to record one scene first.
She repeated one dialogue again and suddenly got two words wrong. Her practice had started to work in reverse - she was now forgetting the script. Annoyed, Sakura put the cards down on the table next to her, counting down to ten in her head.
"What's Sasuke doing?" unexpectedly Naruto's laughter reached her ears.
Opening her eyes, she looked at a blond man dressed in old, tattered rags. Despite the ever-present nervousness on the set, Naruto was brimming with energy. Sakura followed his gaze, glancing at Sasuke.
His muscles were relaxed and his face had no wrinkle of irritation. He looked wonderful, as always.
"He's meditating." she replied, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Meditating?!" he snorted, laughing louder "Shouldn't he be getting ready to record?"
"Welll, that's what he's doing."
Naruto pulled out his phone, entering the apart, but before he could take a picture Sasuke appeared beside him.
"You'd better put that down. Just an advice."
Again, the boys stared at each other - Sakura was used to this. Over six years of being on the same set, with the same people, she had begun to feel like they were her second family. She knew their habits, their problems and the things they liked and hated. Naruto was like a brother to her, and Sasuke held a different, deeper place in her heart, though she hadn't admitted it to the boy yet because she didn't want to destroy anything between them.
Taking out her phone, she entered the album signed - Sasuke 3 - and opened it and showed to the boys.
"You're making this too obvious, Naruto. Look."
"Sakura," Sasuke leaned over her with squinted eyes shaking his head and hiding a smile, "I told you to stop taking pictures of me secretly."
"Hmm, I don't recall that." a smirk appeared on her lips.
As if on purpose, Sasuke lifted her chin with one finger, causing butterflies in her stomach. Sakura stopped herself from blushing.
"Surely—"
"Oh god! You guys are doing it again! Stop it—" interjected Naruto.
"Jealous?"
Sasuke and Naruto started shouting at each other again - it was never quiet with them and Sakura was thankful for that, because at least she wasn't bored sitting in that uncomfortable chair. Unfortunately, their bickering was quickly interrupted by the scriptwriter.
"Get yourselves ready, you're going on set." he informed "We'll start with a kiss. Sakura, Sasuke come on."
Standing up, Sakura pulled her dress up and Sasuke walked over to her and put his hand on her back, sending Naruto a face full of victory - he always played her love interest.
