Hi Readers: Sorry for just having posted one chapter so far, but I hope to get a couple more out to you guys today. And that starts right now, with something related to the nap that Gabby is currently taking; and something that Matt is in the midst of doing as she naps.

Note: This will be my last update for today. Sorry for the low update day once more. I just hope to give you more tomorrow.

Chapter Three Hundred and Seventy-One
Happy Birthday Daddy, Part Eleven

The time that Matt got to spend with Gabby was terrific, and he wanted it to last for the entire day; but unfortunately, it couldn't. And that was due to the fact that he had a service dog. And right now, he needed to go out to the bathroom, which is exactly where Matt was getting ready to take Andy in the backyard. But first, he needed to tell his wife where she was going due to the fact that she just woke up and spoke to him. "Matt?" Turning to look at the woman he loves as she laid down in bed, Matt took a breath as he knew that she might be mad at him right now as he was currently breaking his promise to her. The promise that he made to her prior to her falling asleep, when he told her that he would stay here the entire time that she took a nap. "Hey, go back to sleep." Sitting up, Gabby looked at her husband when she noticed that he was dressed once more. "Why are you dressed?" Matt sighed as he walked over.

After all, she must be so confused at the moment. "I need to go outside for a moment." Gabby was puzzled as she heard Matt say that, unsure why he had to go outside right now. "Why?" Matt sighed. "Turns out that a dog can't wait until after his patient's wife takes the nice nap that she wanted to take with him holding her in bed." Matt then proceeded to sit down in bed next to the woman of his dreams, before grabbing her hand and holding her close; after which, he intertwined their fingers as they held each other close right now. "Well, I understand that." Matt nodded, smiling at the woman he loves; before moving his hand to the side of her face and bending down to kiss her softly. Meanwhile, Gabby put her hand on his arm as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves. "Thanks for letting me take a nap on your birthday." Matt shook his head, because it was more than okay for her to take a nap.

If she needs to rest and take a nap, then that's exactly what she was going to do; meanwhile, he was going to go do something else. And that would be to take Andy outside, after which he'll stay downstairs and spend some time with their beautiful children. "And then, I might stay downstairs and spend some time with our sweet angels." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, as that most certainly is something that she knew he was going to want to do. "I understand, you want to spend time with them." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife, as that most certainly was the case. "Do you understand?" Gabby agreed with her husband, before motioning for him to bend down to kiss her again. And that's exactly what Matt did for her, he bent down and kissed her softly. "Of course, I understand baby, I know that you want to spend time with the kids." Matt agreed with Gabby, as he smiled at the love of his life.

He then grabbed her hand and stroked it with his hand as they both held each other close. "Listen, you just stay here and relax. I can see that you're still tired." Gabby shook her head, as that most certainly wasn't something that she was going to do. She wasn't going to stay up here, not when she knew that her husband would rather be with his entire family. "No, I can come down and be with you and the kids. That's what you should get right now anyways, time with your entire family." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before pushing a strand of hair behind her ear; after which, he bent down and kissed her once more. And god, does Gabby love the feeling of his soft lips on hers; it's so sexy, but not as sexy as when he whispers to her. "I hope you know that you coming downstairs, doesn't mean that you get to take off his sexy lingerie." Gabby laughed as she heard the man she loves say that.

And she knows why. It's due to the fact that he's going to take it off, when they take things nice and slow with each other in bed tonight. "Maybe we can stay downstairs until later. We can spend time with the kids until they go to bed tonight, then we can come up here tonight; where we can take things nice and slow with each other, as we celebrate my birthday by making love." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I already know that's exactly what you want to do." Matt smirked due to the fact that she already knows that they're going to take things nice and slow with each other later, when they make sweet love to each other. But right now, Matt's going to do something else; and that would be take Andy out, due to the fact that he just barked at him. That then prompted Matt to turn his head and look at his dog. "I know Andy, I know." Andy then just sat at the door.

Meanwhile, Matt turned his head and looked at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; and who he just pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear as he bent down and kissed her once more. "Listen, don't feel like you need to rush downstairs and be with me so that we can be with the kids together. I can be with them for a bit, as you wake up and just take it easy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I think that's what I might do, however I want to stay downstairs for a bit. You need to spend some time with your mom and the kids." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before stroking her cheekbone; afterwards, Gabby moved to sit up as she could see concern in Matt's eyes. "Hey, what's going on in your mind right now baby?" Matt sighed as he grabbed Gabby's hand, as he wanted to make sure that she was okay with his mom being there right now.

He knows that she was worried when she was around the girls, which is why they are up here right now. "Listen, if you want to keep her away…" Gabby shook her head. "Baby, I need to apologize to her anyways. I want to make sure that we're on a good place, as we spend your birthday with her. Matt, you're going to spend your birthday with your family. We're going to fix it all, okay?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before moving his hand to the side of her face. He then kissed her cheek and smiled, as he was quite happy right now. "I promise, she's not going to hold the kids right now. I promise." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Thanks. I know this is a hard situation but…" Matt shook his head, as it wasn't a hard decision. Rather, it was an easy one to make. "Baby, it's not a hard decision to make; as I want to make sure the kids are safe." Gabby agreed.

She then sat up more, moving close to the man she loves so that she can hug him, which is an action that Matt reciprocated as they held each other close. "I love you." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too, now go spend some time with the kids. And maybe we just spend the rest of the day with the kids. We got alone time together, so you need time with the kids. I promise, we can still have…" Matt then shook his head. "We'll see, okay? Let's just leave it open. If it happens, then it happens. If it doesn't, then don't feel bad about it; due to the fact that this is still my dream birthday, as I am spending it with the people I love more than anything in the entire world." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before kissing the man she loves more than anything in the entire world ahead of him heading downstairs to spend some time with their children.

Walking into the living room shortly after making his way out there, Matt smiled as he looked at his beautiful children as they played with each other; and let's just say that it truly was the best sight that a father could ever ask to see. There's just something about all four of his children playing with each other that puts a big smile on his face, as it always should. Yet at the same time, him being down here also caused his mother-in-law to feel another way; and that would be confused due to the fact that she thought that he and Gabby were going to spend time with each other upstairs. "Surprised to see you down here Matt, I thought that you and Gabby were going to spend some time together upstairs." Matt agreed with Camila, as that was exactly what he and his beautiful wife just finished doing; spending some time with each other in bed. "And we did spend time together. But now, I'm here." Camila agreed with Matt.

Meanwhile, he proceeded to make his way over to the living room couch; setting his water bottle and iPad down, Matt smiled as he was happy to be down here. "I see that you decided to play on your iPad as well." Camila agreed. "They were playing so well with each other; I didn't want to disturb them." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, before making his way over to the living room storage cabinet where they have some blankets that they can use. "So, that's where the blankets are; I wondered where you put them." Turning to look at Camila, Matt smiled. "Would you like one?" Camila agreed. "Please." Matt smiled as he closed the cupboard, after which he made his way over to his mother-in-law so that he could give her a blanket. "So, Ramon already screwed up enough to make you want to run away." Camila laughed as she heard her son-in-law say that, well aware that he doesn't like Ramon.

"Oh, don't act like you don't love the fact that you don't have to see him as much."

Matt sighed as he looked at his mother-in-law, as that wasn't the truth. "Ok. I am going to sit down, then I'll be honest with you about it." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he walked away. "Do you want anything to drink while I'm up?" Camila looked at Matt as he said that. "I should be asking you that, because I can go." Matt shook his head. "I need to go to the kitchen anyways." Camila smiled. "Hungry?" Matt shook his head. "I need to go check Andy's water bowl right after I put him out." Camila smiled. "Do you want him on a leach outside?" Matt bit his lip, before looking down at his service dog. "I think I will." Camila agreed. "Then how about this? You go ahead and take Andy out, then you can come in and I'll have the water ready for all of us." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, while walking over to the door so that he could grab Andy's leach. "Would you really…" Camila agreed.

"Matt, of course. I am going to do that for you, while you take Andy out to go to the washroom."

Matt agreed with Camila as he looked down at Andy. "Andy, here boy." Andy then walked over as he saw Matt holding his leach. After which, Matt bent down and attached it to his collar so that he could take him out into the backyard. "Ok then. You do the water, while I take him out." Camila agreed with her son-in-law, setting her iPad to the side so that she can get up. "I love that idea, then you can relax again because I hope you know that you're not working. Gabby sent me a text message after you left to come down here, and she said that under no circumstances am I to let you work." Matt laughed. "Yeah, you aren't the boss of me." Camila just looked at Matt as he said that. "OK. Then you can spend your night listening for the kids, rather than have me do that when I know that…" Matt then stopped his mother-in-law, as he would rather she not talk about his sex life with his wife. "OK. TMI!" Camila agreed.

After all, she was starting to talk about her daughter's sex life with her husband. "Listen, I am going to take Andy out to the washroom quickly. Then we can keep talking here in the living room as we relax. And yes, I am going to be reading e-mails due to the fact that I am still the CEO even on my birthday. Emphasis on the fact that it's MY birthday, and that I get to choose how I want to spend it." Camila agreed with her son-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Plus, we are in the middle of the pandemic." Camila sighed. "Are you worried about that when it comes to the company?" Matt bit his lip, before looking down at Andy. "Listen, I am going to take him out. How about you let me do that, then we can talk here. Does that sound like a deal?" Camila agreed with Matt, as that sounded like the plan. "Sounds like a good plan. See you in a minute." Matt agreed, before going his separate way with Andy.

Walking back inside with Andy after taking him out to go to the washroom (and running him a bit), Matt smiled as he finished unhooking his leach from his collar before letting him run away to go get a drink of water; whilst at the same time, he looked at his beautiful children. God, they are still so damn adorable; and he loves them more each and every day. "So, when was the last time that they got fed?" Camila smiled as she finished picking Sofia up from her chair. "I just finished feeding them all." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, while also making his way over to her as he wanted to hold Sofia. "Here, I haven't held Sofia in a while and daddy wants to cuddle up to her for a bit." Camila agreed with her son-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case. She then smiled as she heard him speak to her. "Hi Sofia, want to come watch daddy do a bit of work?" Matt then picked his daughter up, smiling.

Bringing her close to his chest shortly afterwards, Matt smiled as he kissed her cheek as he cuddled up to her and held her close. "Yeah, Sofia's missed her daddy." Matt then proceeded to walk away so that he could sit down on the couch with his daughter. "I swear, you are so adorable with the kids; I always hear Gabby say it, but it really is the truth." Turning to look at Camila as she said that, Matt smiled at her as he made his way over to the couch where he was going to sit with his little girl. "Thank you so much Camila." He then proceeded to make his way over to the couch, only to see that she left something on his iPad. "What's this?" Camila smiled as Matt asked him that, while also making her way over to Bella's chair and picking her up in her arms; after all, Sofia shouldn't be the only one being held right now. "Oh, just a little something for the birthday boy." Sitting down, Matt got comfortable with Sofia.

And that involved him laying her down on his chest with her facing him, as she still likes that much more; and right now, he most certainly felt the same way as he tugged the covers up on top of the both of them and moved his hand to her back. After which, he turned his head and kissed the top of her head. "Yeah, Sofia wants to cuddle up to papa on his birthday." Camila smiled as she heard Matt say that. "So, you're going to go by papa?" Matt shrugged. "Not sure yet. All I know is that I am going to see what you got me now." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, watching as he reached over for the card that she placed there while he was outside with Andy. And boy, did she already know that he was going to enjoy it; and that was due to the fact that it was a gift certificate that he was going to be able to use a lot. "Camila, you didn't have to." Camila smiled. "You need more massages!" Matt agreed.

After which, he turned over the gift certificate for ten massages at a local spa. "Good, no expiry date. I have no idea what the COVID restrictions are when it comes to that." Camila nodded. "I made sure that was part of the deal. I told them that I do not want an expiry date for that reason, which they were more than okay with." Matt agreed with his mother-in-law, before deciding to get up even though he was comfortable with Sofia; whom he set down on the couch before walking over to Camila. "Camila, this is great." Bending down, he proceeded to hug her and smiled as he kissed her cheek. "You deserve it Matt, especially with your PTSD." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, while also making his way back over to Sofia so that she doesn't fall down; because that was the last thing that he wanted to have happen again. "So, nothing happened since I was last down here?" Camila shook her head.

"No, everything's been smooth sailing. I promise, they have all been safe."

Matt agreed with Camila, while picking Sofia up once more; holding her up in the air afterwards, Matt smiled as he looked up at his princess and kissed her cheek (which made her laugh). "Yeah, Sofia loves it when papa kisses her sweet cheeks. Yes, she does." Matt then went to kiss her cheek again, smiling at his beautiful daughter before moving to sit down on the couch once more so that he could get comfortable with her. Laying her down on his chest right away, Matt smiled as he slipped down on the couch and just let his little girl cuddle up to him; while at the same time, he grabbed the blanket he got for them and proceeded to cover them up. "I swear, you are so adorable when you're with your kids." Matt smiled as Camila say that, nodded as he then went ahead and proceeded to open his iPad so that he could read his e-mails. "I have to read some e-mails now." Camila agreed. "Let me guess, work?" Matt sighed.

"My Acting Chairman and CEO might just be getting to the office. He's in Hawaii."

Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I bet you miss Hawaii." Matt shook his head, as he doesn't miss it one bit. "Actually, quick update when it comes to that. Me and Gabby have decided to move home." Camila was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "What? Already? We just moved back to Illinois." Matt snickered as he heard Camila say that. "No, this is home Camila. Me and Gabby met here, and that makes this our home. This is home." Camila then realized what he meant. "Oh, so you mean that this move is permanent?" Matt agreed. "I've tried living in Los Angeles, and I've tried living in Hawaii. In both places, my PTSD has just gotten worse. I tried running away from Chicago and my PTSD, and that worked horribly; so, I am just going to stay put and give back to my community once more." Camila agreed with Matt, as she thought that was a great idea.

Yet at the same time, she also had some questions for her son-in-law. "Do you mind if we talk about it?" Matt agreed with Camila. "Of course, we can, can I just send the e-mail first?" Camila nodded, as she allowed her son-in-law to send one of his employees an e-mail regarding his and Gabby's future. A future that will take place here in Chicago, rather than in Hawaii.

Subject: Update on the Future of Casey

Hi Rafael:
I am writing you today as I wanted to give you an update on my plans for the company, and things that you are not aware of when it comes to the future of the company. And I believe that it's time for me to let my Deputy CEO in Hawaii know about what's going on. So, that's exactly what I plan on doing here in this e-mail. I hope that this can answer some of the questions you may have.

Future of the Company: I know that when I left Hawaii, I told you that I wasn't sure what we were going to do; and whether we were just going to be coming back to Chicago for a while until things calmed down again, or just when we felt like coming back. But the truth is, we have decided to do something else. And that would be that we are not going to be returning to Hawaii, which means that you are now my permanent representative there in the state. We can talk about what that means at a later date, as this is just brief.

Future of the Office: I want to let you know that I am not going to be closing the Hawaii Office, and that will continue to be our corporate headquarters for the time being until I can set something up here in Illinois. Right now, we haven't found any office space; and I am debating whether or not I should use my personal address as the business address or not. We will have to figure that out as we go. But for now, we are going to keep the Hawaii office as our physical headquarters for all documentation, etc.

Future Headquarters: Me and Gabby have spoken about this already, and we are going to be looking for a headquarters here in Hawaii; or we may in fact build a new headquarters here in Illinois where I can work out of. But like I said, you will continue to work out of there. I just hope that you're okay with the workload that you have for now as we get everything settled here in Chicago. And while we have finished moving into our home, we have yet to finish with the office that we're setting up here at home.

Hope all is well. And I hope that you, Jane, Matteo, as well as the rest of your family is staying safe.

Sincerely,
Matt

Hitting send on the e-mail that he just composed on his iPad, Matt smiled as he turned his head so that he could concentrate on Camila and the questions that she has for him. "Now, you said that you have questions for me?" Camila agreed with Matt, as she did have questions for him. "I guess, I should first ask how you're doing. I know that things have been a bit complicated in the past couple days with your mother." Matt sighed, as that most certainly was the truth. "For the most part, we're okay in my opinion. But you're going to have to speak to her for her take on the situation." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that. "Happy birthday, by the way." Matt snickered, smiling at his mother-in-law. "Thank you Camila, I appreciate it and all the help that you've been today." Camila laughed, as she was more than happy to help her son-in-law with his beautiful children as he either works or takes it easy today.

"It's no problem Matt, I really mean that."

Matt nodded, as he thinks he already knew why that was the case. "Let me guess, it distracts you from everything that's going on lately?" Camila agreed with Matt as he said that. "Tell me about it, but I'm not going into details with you." Matt was confused as he heard Camila say that. "You mean, Diego's diagnosis with COVID?" Camila sighed. "Oh, you want to talk about that?" Matt nodded. "Just wanted to see how you are when it comes to it. I know that it must be hard for you." Camila agreed with Matt, as it was hard on her. "I mean, no mother or grandmother wants to see their offspring suffering." Matt agreed with Camila as he understood that better than anybody, as his children had to be in the hospital after they were born. "I understand that better than anybody." Camila nodded, well aware that was the case; after which, she turned her attention to look at Bella as she laid down on her chest.

And boy did the grandmother love the feeling that came with her holding her granddaughter in her arms, as it was the best feeling in the entire world. "So, how are you feeling?" Matt was confused as he heard Camila ask him that question. "When it comes to your mother." Matt sighed, as he didn't know what to say when it came to that topic of conversation. "Or do you not want to talk about that with me?" Matt bit his lip, as he would rather not think about it for the time being. "Maybe another time, but I just don't want to deal with it at the moment. Anyways, isn't my mother in the guest house?" Camila shook her head. "No, she went to go stay with your sister in Chicago. Packed up and left due to the fact that she didn't feel okay being here right now." Matt sighed, as he hated that his mother felt that way. "I hate that she feels the way." Camila bit her lip. "I think that you just need a break for a bit." Matt agreed.

"I just hope that we can make things better in the future."

Camila agreed with her son-in-law, as she was certain that they would do just that. "Matt, I know that you love your mother immensely. And I know that you are loyal to the people you love, so I have no doubt in my mind that you are going to make up with your mother in the future." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know I am, but right now I can just concentrate on what matters at the moment. And that would be my family." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that. "And of course, looking quite dandy when you're comfortable., I swear, I have never seen somebody wear a nice sweater like that with sweats." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that, as that was exactly what he was doing. He was wearing a nice sweater to go with the sweats that he was wearing. "It's in case I need to jump on an emergency call." Camila agreed with Matt, as it made sense.

It made sense that he needed to be ready to go at a moment's notice, as it may mean that he can get a deal. "So, are you enjoying your life as a CEO so far?" Matt smiled. "I love the big impact that I have on so many people's lives, but it can definitely be stressful at times due to the fact that there are big decisions that need to be made; and I'm the one that has to make them knowing full well that there are going to be a lot of people impacted by any one of my decisions that I make. Both the good ones, and the bad decisions that I make at the company." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, as she could understand how that could be the case; especially since she was not just his mother-in-law…but she's also one of his employees. "Do you want me to reach out to the employees and see what they think? I mean, they don't know that I'm your mother-in-law." Matt sighed, as that wasn't the truth as they did know.

They do know, due to the fact that her name was on the press release that came out after the girls were born. "Camila, your name was on the press release that came out after the girls were born, remember?" Camila then realized that, nodding as it made sense that everybody actually does know that she's Matt's mother-in-law. "And I have you also had a security detail in the past, which has only gone to high-ranking executives, as well as members of my family. And since you aren't a high-ranking executive, they knew right away that you are my mother-in-law." Camila nodded, as that made sense as well. "I hope you know that you didn't need to give me a security detail." Matt laughed as Camila said that, as that most certainly was not the truth. "Oh yes I did." Camila was confused as she heard Matt say that he had to give her a security detail. "OK. Not sure why that would be the case, care to explain?" Matt agreed.

"Do you really think that your daughter would be okay with my mother getting security, but not her own mother?"

Camila smiled as she heard Matt say that, as that made a lot of sense when you actually think about it. I mean, why wouldn't she get security if his mom does. "Also, it's for when you have our kids. That way, we already have a security team that can help you with the kids. I just hope that they haven't gotten in your way here in Chicago." Camila was surprised as she heard Matt say that, as she didn't even know that they were here. "I didn't even know that they were here!" Matt agreed with Camila. "I didn't want to take any chances when it came to the media. So, I made sure that we had a place in the country, as well as a continued security presence." Camila agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly does make sense. "Well, that makes sense." Matt smirked. "Plus, they've been great, and I want them to keep their jobs if I can keep them on payroll." Camila agreed with Matt as she looked down at Bella.

After which, she saw that she was starting to close her eyes. "Oh, is little Bella starting to fall asleep?" Looking at Camila, Matt smiled. "Listen, how about you give her to me? I can put her down for a nap." Camila shook her head. "Non-sense, I got her." Matt sighed. "Camila, I haven't done it in a while. And when we get busy again, who knows if I will." Camila thought about it and agreed with her son-in-law. After which, Matt got up and carried Sofia over to Camila. "Here, how about you hold Sofia for me?" Camila agreed, as she watched as Matt set Sofia down in her other arm; after which, he picked Bella up and held her in his arms. Kissing her cheek, Matt smiled. "What do you say we get you changed? Then daddy can put you down for a nap?" Cuddling up to her, Matt smiled as he carried her out of the living room so that he could take her to her nursery where she would take a nap.

An action that really made Camila smile, due to the fact that it was such a nice sight to see.
