"The smell of her hair, the taste of her mouth, the feeling of her skin seemed to have got inside him, or into the air all around him. She had become a physical necessity."

George Orwell, 1984

Our Affair

6. Choose Me

Orihime

Mid-December

I woke up with my hands tied to my bedpost and something cold between my legs.

I let out an involuntary whimper as my eyes widened in fear. I pulled at the restraints noting it was the string from my hoodie. We've never even talked about this, even though it is something that I want to try.

"This can become overwhelming and scary," Ulquiorra whispers. "I understand if you need me to stop."

Remembering that he has always respected my boundaries, I let his tender words comfort me. The fear I formerly sensed gradually disappeared. He always will respect me. I shake my head and smile. "No, keep going. I'm okay, I promise."

He slowly traced the outline of my inner thigh with the ice cube. I shivered, causing goosebumps to appear on my skin. My head dropped as I groaned and tried to squeeze my legs together, trying to relieve the aching of my swollen clit.

"This will be a little cold," Ulquiorra whispered. The ice cube pressed against the swollen nerves. I cried out in shock and pleasure. "Mm, at a girl."

The cooling sensation soothed the ache but also heightened my need for more.

"Please," I moaned for him to give me more.

Smirking, Ulquiorra removed the ice cube from my clit and put it in his mouth. Going back down, the coldness and heat mixing in my core caused me to groan. I tried to pull at the restraints of my hands, but he was an expert with a knot. The Tanabata Festival escapade proved that.

Inserting the cube inside and sucking it out with his mouth, he played with me. His hands moved up my body to pinch my nipples. The overstimulation of his touches drove me crazy, and I couldn't do anything but take it.

After what felt like forever, the ice melted, and his mouth took over. Lapping and sucking at my pussy. I was on the verge of coming when he pulled away.

"Why did you stop?" I whined.

"You know why." He sat on his knees before he flipped me over on my stomach. My arms overlapped each other but were still bound. Ulquiorra slapped my ass before palming it to soothe the pain. Grabbing me by the waist, he pulled me up on my knees. In seconds, he was inside of me.

We both moaned at the warmth. Needing my climax, I rocked back onto him. He met me with each stroke. Both chasing our highs, he pounded into me, and I took it with great pleasure.

He grabbed a fistful of my hair as his teeth sank into my shoulders. A hefty groan followed, along with hot amounts of cum filling me. I sighed as my pussy throbbed and tightened around him from its own climax, soaking up every drop of his cum.

Sometime later, we were in my shower, where he fucked me again. Only this time it was against the shower wall. His heated kisses and thick dick consumed me.

Since I used him, he can use me too. We both needed this. He desired a reliever. I craved punishment.

Because I was falling in love with him too.

.

..

We barely got any sleep after his nightmare, but shockingly I was well-rested.

Laying the spread of an easy breakfast on the table, Ulquiorra helped pour out the soups. My eyes watched him move. I couldn't help but feel like he belongs here. Doing something so basic as helping prepare breakfast. Feeling my eyes on him, he looked at me. A small smile graced his calm features.

"I can bend you over the table if you want."

The heat from both my face and core made me turn away quickly. "Sorry," I mumbled softly.

"No need to apologize. I like it when you fuck me with your eyes." I almost dropped the plate of rolled omelets on the floor.

"I wasn't looking at you like that!" I flushed.

"Sure." He rolled his eyes playfully.

After eating, we silently sat at the table sipping tea. He scrolled through his phone frowning.

"What's wrong?" I asked finishing up my tea.

Ulquiorra sighed. "My new flight is in a few hours." He placed his phone on the table and looked up at me. His eyes were unreadable.

"Oh." I took up a grape from the rachis and popped it into my mouth trying to hide my disappointment. "We should get you ready then." I stood up and started cleaning up the table.

He grabbed my wrist, stopping me. "I'm sorry." He apologized. "Showing up here and interrupting your life was never my intention."

My eyes widen at his assumption. "You did nothing of the sort." I smiled. "I was glad to see you again, sooner rather than later." Putting down one plate, I ran my fingers through his hair and then caressed his face. "Promise me you will not hide yourself whenever you're in pain. It's unfair that we laugh together but you suffer alone. I am here for you. So, don't ever think you have interrupted my life. Not when I want you in it." I leaned in and kissed him tenderly.

His eyes widen at my affectionate gesture. Quickly breaking the aura of intimacy growing between us, I took the plate I had placed down and turned towards the sink. I could feel his eyes on my back as I started running the water.

He stood up and made his way towards me. Trying to stay focused on the plate in my hand along with the soapy sponge, I began washing it. His lips were suddenly near my ear. "Tell me what you really want to say."

My breath came out slowly feeling his hands wrap around my waist. "I can't."

Ulquiorra kissed my neck up to my ear. "I want to hear you say it." He turned me around. His eyes burning with desire and something more. His fingers found their way into my yoga pants, lightly teasing my clit. We were already on each other. His lips pressed firmly onto mine, while my back pushed against the counter. "Say it."

I was about to give in when the doorbell rang.

Ulquiorra stopped fingering and kissing me to turn his head towards the door.

"Were you expecting someone so early?" he whispered against my lips. I shook my head engrossed in the feeling of his fingers gradually moving once again. I drew him back to my lips so I could continue kissing him.

It was short-lived when the doorbell rang once again along with knocking. I growled in frustration. Ulquiorra chuckled. He pecked my lips before removing his hands from the inside of my pants.

"The quicker you answer it, the faster we can get back to what we were doing."

I smiled, excited about another session with him. Nodding, I fixed my clothes and shut off the running water before answering the door.

Looking through the peephole, my heart fell into the pit of my stomach.

Ichigo was standing outside my door.

"Oh, my God!" My voice perked at the man. Ulquiorra quickly made his way toward me.

"What's wrong?" I almost went into shock looking at Ulquiorra, then back at the door.

This is not happening.

Ulquiorra took a step towards the door, but I pushed him back shaking my head. The knocks started again.

"Orihime are you okay?" Ichigo asked frantically. "I heard you scream." I was horrified at my new problem.

"Who is that?" Ulquiorra stared at me confused. "Is he a stalker?"

"No!" I lowered my voice when I saw him tense. "Um… he's…" How do I explain to Ulquiorra who Ichigo is? He knows the gist of my high school crush turned first love… but to actually meet him was an entirely different tale.

"Tell me Orihime." Ulquiorra's green eyes bore into my panicking ones. The sound of his calm voice helped soothe my racing heart.

I took a deep breath. "Um… so do you remember…" my voice trailed off. I shifted on my feet feeling the moisture in between my legs. The thought of us still kissing and possibly being bent over while Ichigo stood outside my door horrified and excited me. Clearing my throat and mind, I continued. "You remember how I said my high school crush had a girlfriend…"

Ulquiorra nodded looking towards the door then back to me. "Is that him?" I nodded. "Doesn't he have a girlfriend? Why would he be at your apartment?"

"Umm so about that…" I jumped when I heard Ichigo curse when knocking at the door. Suddenly my phone which was charging in my bedroom started ringing. "Shit." Ulquiorra was growing annoyed too.

"Orihime."

"Sorry… it's complicated but we… um kind of made up."

Ulquiorra's face dropped. "Okay..."

"We're not dating or anything." I quickly corrected myself. "We're just… umm talking I guess."

"Did you sleep with him?"

"I… I…" I nodded too ashamed to say it. Ulquiorra huffed out a breath. "I didn't know I would see you again so soon," I started rambling. "Ichigo isn't going to hurt me again… I think."

"You think?"

I winced at his anger. "He said he wants to earn my love again," I said softly.

"Open the door." Ulquiorra took a step back, folding his arms over his chest.

"Huh?"

"Open the door, Orihime." My mouth opened and closed, trying to figure out Ulquiorra's angle. His chin pointed towards the door. "Open it."

Timidly, I looked towards the door and back at Ulquiorra, who was still standing with his arms crossed. Sighing, I unlocked the door and opened it. Ichigo had a panicky look in his eyes when he saw me. His eyes trailed over my body.

"Are you okay? I heard you scream, and you weren't answering my phone calls."

"I'm sorry." I quickly apologized. Ichigo stepped inside my apartment, placing his hands on my arms. He looked me over once again, checking for injuries.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I nodded. His eyes flickered over to Ulquiorra, who was watching us. "Who the hell are you?" Ichigo pushed me behind his back, protecting me.

"Wa-"

"Answer me!" Ichigo was growing impatient.

Ulquiorra stepped closer to us. "Ulquiorra is the name. I'm Orihime's…" his green eyes landed on me. "…lover."

"Wha… lover?" Ichigo turned to face me, then back to Ulquiorra.

"Yes. Lover." With such precision, Ulquiorra grabbed me by the hand and pulled me to his side. Ichigo was dumbfounded at the sudden exchange.

He looked from me then back to Ulquiorra. He opened his mouth to speak, but paused in his words, desperately trying to formulate what was really going on in front of him.

"You're Mr. Mysterious?" Ichigo finally spoke. His brown eyes fixated on Ulquiorra.

"Sure, if that's the name I was acquainted with."

Ichigo scowled. "Yeah, whatever man. I need to talk to Orihime." His eyes were back on me. I tried to move from behind Ulquiorra, but he stopped me.

"Not before I have a chat with you first."

"I'm not here to talk to you." Ichigo snapped.

"Too bad." Ulquiorra argued back. He turned to face me. "I'll be right back. We'll finish what we started before I catch my flight." Before I could say anything in protest, Ulquiorra leaned forward and captured my lips in a searing kiss.

My eyes widen at the thought of him doing such a thing in front of Ichigo. Looking at him, his eyes were trained directly on mine. Begging, asking, and pleading for any semblance of empathy on his part. However, when Ulquiorra's fingers trailed down my back and through my hair, I melted. I broke eye contact with Ichigo. A soft sigh made me kiss Ulquiorra back fiercely.

Parting, he pecked my lips in satisfaction. "I'll be back."

.

..

Ulquiorra

He made me angry when he sat down at the table.

Ichigo was his name, right?

Whatever.

The waiter delivered our drinks. Her smile gushed over both of us, but I was too focused on the man in front of me. He seemed to not care about the happy-go-lucky waitress.

"That'll be all." I shut her down before she could ask anything else. Her frown replaced her smile.

"Okay. Call me if you need anything else." She skipped off to the other giggling girls in the café.

Annoying.

Orihime was never like this when we first met. Her smile was professional through and through. Enough to want me to capture it for myself. Instead, I might have to share it with the man across from me. He was now interrupting my limited time with her.

Sipping my iced latte, I tried to read him. After kissing Orihime in front of him, he was hurt. More like his ego was insulted. But I didn't give a damn. She was mine, and I was here to let him know.

Fuck the distance.

Fuck finding someone else.

I wanted her. And her alone.

"Keep your feelings to yourself." I shot out as I placed my half-empty glass on the table.

Ichigo folded his arms over his chest and swung his leg over his knee, leaning back in his seat. "No." His drink was left untouched, and he smirked at me. "I'll admit the little show of claiming your territory on Orihime was cute. I thought I would do something like that."

"Really?"

"Really." Ichigo sighed. "I already told her I can handle her falling in love with you… but I want my shot too. With no girlfriend intruding on our flow. I figured I had time since you were away. But surprise, surprise, you're back." Unfolding his arms and leaning forward he grinned. "However, you have a flight to catch, right? Granted I can continue my pursuit."

I must acknowledge, the kid has guts. Smiling back at him, I nodded. "Sure, but not anymore. She's mine."

Ichigo frowned. "I don't think so." Leaning back and folding his arms over his chest again, he continued. "She won't choose you."

"And you think she'll choose you?"

"Nope. I can admit that now. We're young. People can change." Ichigo snickered. "With time of course."

Now he was pissing me off once again. "Maybe, but she's in love with me."

"Did she say that? Because I was told she was in love with me too."

I scoffed at that. "A first love can always fade… with time of course." I couldn't help but mock.

I noticed his eyebrow twitch with annoyance. A notification about my flight pinged my phone. Taking it out, it stated an early change. Growling, I looked back up at Ichigo who was still in his feelings about my last comment.

Good enough.

"I got a flight to catch." Standing up, the perky café girl ran up to me. Removing my credit card, I handed it over to her. "Ring up both of our orders on this." She smiled taking my card. I glanced back at Ichigo. "See you around. And trust me, distance won't mean a damn thing when it comes between her and I."

I turned away before he could say anything as a comeback.

.

..

Ichigo

I was about ready to jump across the table to strangle the shit out of Ulquiorra. The kiss they shared in front of me was strike one. Strike two was his disregard for my valid feelings for Orihime. The last strike was him throwing my choice to not date her because of the distance back in my face.

Sonofabitch.

Keeping my composure through that whole conversation had me ready to flip my lid. I was jealous beyond relief. Standing in front of Orihime's door after calming down took a lot out of me. Running by the iced-over river, weight training, and hitting the gym so I could punch something to try to stabilize my anger. It was not enough to settle them. Not until I heard from Orihime about her true feelings.

One week of our supposed make-up only for it to be ruined by Ulquiorra arriving three years too early.

Banging on her door late into the night did not faze me. She needed to answer this door immediately before I broke it down.

.

..

Orihime

As soon as Ichigo and Ulquiorra went off to God knows where, I ran to my room to call Tatsuki. Her groggy voice answered after a few rings.

"It's an emergency. I need help!" I yelled not greeting her.

"What's wrong?" Her voice was suddenly full of alertness. "Did you call the police?" A loud thud and a groan was then heard through the line. "Shit." Followed by panting. "Orihime is everything alright?"

"No. It's not that type of emergency." I sighed.

"Seriously Orihime?" Tatsuki groaned. "I was about to hop on the earliest bus back to Karakura Town."

"Well don't stop, make your way here." I started pacing. "Ulquiorra and Ichigo had met each other. They just left to talk." I started biting at my fingernails nervously. "About me, right? I shouldn't have started this. Now they'll argue and it's all my fault." I was met with silence. "Tatsuki? Did you hear what I said?"

She cleared her throat. "Yeah… I heard you." More shuffling than silence.

"Tat-"

"I'm sorry but I'm not making my way over there for that." Tatsuki started chuckling. "No offense sweetie, but it was bound to happen."

"Tatsuki!" She started laughing. I groaned, almost ready to hang up.

"I'm sorry, but this is some funny shit."

"How is this supposed to be funny?" I retorted back. "They can get angry on different levels. What if… what if they hurt each other?"

"Orihime, relax." She tried soothing me while still snickering. "This is standard. You have two handsome guys… Ulquiorra is handsome right?"

"Um yeah," I said slowly trying to understand where she was going with her questioning.

"See two… it's weird to say it but Ichigo is a looker too. So yes, two handsome men ready to claim you as their own. Two princes ready to claim their princess." She burst out laughing. "Let them duke it out and date the winner," Tatsuki said through her laughter.

"No! That's so wrong."

"Hell, I'll do it if I was in your situation."

"You can't be serious."

"Deadly." Tatsuki chuckled again. "Two hot heads fighting for your attention. Man, I want to see this play out on my TV screen."

I was growing annoyed. "This is not funny in any shape or form. Ulquiorra isn't a hot head… he's more composed than that."

"Uh oh… sounds like you are leaning towards Ulquiorra then."

"Tatsuki!" I was growing frustrated with her jokes.

"Fine, fine." Tatsuki sighed reeling in on her jokes. "You like them both don't you?" she asked, getting serious.

"Of course."

"Okay, but who do you like more?"

I paused on my answer. Ichigo was and still is the man I fell in love with in high school. The pain I felt when I thought he was in a new relationship. Our new growing passion and his words saying he still wanted me despite everything. Then last night early into the morning being embraced by Ulquiorra, the comfortability of his movements throughout my kitchen. I was falling in love with him too. I could see it in his eyes. He felt the same way. We just haven't said it out loud with words.

"I don't know," I whispered.

"Really? Okay, how about who do you think about more?"

"Think about?"

"Yes. Who do you see yourself with in the future? Both domestic things, growing old with, marrying, simple things outside of the bedroom."

I already knew who, but saying it meant the other did not mean much to me.

"I don't know… both." I lied.

Tatsuki was shocked. "What a conundrum."

"Yeah." We silently sat on the phone deep in our thoughts. "I'm going to get ready for work."

"Okay. Call me and let me know how things went. I'm here if you need me."

"Thanks, Tatsuki."

.

..

I wanted to call in for work because Ulquiorra said he would be returning. But he sent me a quick text letting me know his flight was moved up earlier. He didn't mention anything about his talk with Ichigo. He just stated he'll be back for the new year.

I smiled. He was coming back in two weeks. Excitement for his return put a pep in my step. Overly nice to customers and grinning from ear to ear at my co-workers.

During my break, I made another trip to the pharmacy for a morning-after pill. The clerk raised an eyebrow at my one-week return.

"This can be ineffective if being constantly used." She grilled me. "You were here last week and now you're back again. I suggest you get on the daily pill or some form of birth control." She handed me the white paper bag containing the single pill. "Or let those boys wrap it up." She pointed to the shelves full of condoms.

I hid my red embarrassed face in my scarf. I bowed in thanks and hurried out of the pharmacy. Taking out my phone, I searched for different effective birth controls.

.

..

Back home after another grueling day of work –which I didn't notice since Ulquiorra will be back soon- I had scheduled an appointment with a nearby gynecologist.

I settled down on my bed with my phone after a nice hot bath. Searching for new kimonos to wear at the new year's shrine visit with Ulquiorra, I wanted us to somewhat match. A loud banging at my door startled my search.

Standing up, I quickly made my way to the door. Looking through the peephole, I was again feeling my heart drop to the pit of my stomach.

Opening the door, Ichigo stood before me. Eyes filled with rage and something else.

.

..

Ichigo

The beauty and shaky smile on her face almost settled my rage.

"Hey?" Orihime said, opening the door for me.

Without saying anything, I bypassed her. Toeing off my boots and shedding my coat, I made my way to her living room. Her little feet followed me.

I spun around to find her directly behind me. Those hazel eyes expecting my full-on rage fueling with jealousy. One I was willing to give to her but couldn't. I was not mad at her for falling in love. She had a choice.

Falling to my knees, I wrapped my arms around her waist. She gasped at my sudden embrace.

"Ichigo what's wrong?"

All my rage was no longer fueled by jealousy but desperation. I could not afford to lose her again. I needed her more than she needed me. She means more to me than life itself. I love her so much.

"Choose me, Orihime." I looked up at her. Her eyes were bewildered by my declaration. "I thought I could handle it. I promised myself I would because I didn't want to scare you off." I inhaled her sweet coconut scent. "You don't understand how beautiful it is that you could make my heart beat so fast when I don't want it to beat at all. Especially everything I went through with Ayako. You were disappointed and discouraged and lost interest in me, but we made our way back.

"You deserve a calm love with someone who gives you energy, makes you laugh, and never stops flirting with you. Someone who learns your love language just to treat you right and make you feel loved properly. I want you to be truly happy because of me. I love you, so choose me. I don't want anyone else but you. So, love me. Choose me, Orihime."
