Chapter 2: Plumbers Camp Day 1
The group of teenagers looked in shock, being told they were going to a UA training camp. "That symbol," Izuku muttered to himself, thinking back to the inside of the door of the van.
"This is the training room, where you will advance your reflexes, stamina, and agility. There is more equipment that we'll have you use during other types of exercises," the mystery man told them, "Now if you follow me, I will show you to your barracks." As they continued walking down the hall, Izuku spotted a room's door slightly opened and went to close it, but stopped as he saw that it looked a bit lived in. Before he could snap out of it, he was pulled in by an invisible force.
Izuku looked around and saw posters for something called "Sumo Slammers," a white t-shirt with a black stripe down the middle, a green biker jacket with a white stripe on the left side with a black circle that held a white 10, a black shirt with a green stripe going down the middle with a white 10 in the center, and a white hoodie with green accents and a green 10 on the left side. On the bedside table, there were three pictures. One of the pictures was of a brown haired boy wearing the white t-shirt and a bulky watch, a red haired girl wearing a blue cat shirt, and an old man wearing a red Hawaiian shirt in front of an old RV.
Another picture was of what looked like a teenaged version of the boy wearing the green biker jacket, a teenaged version of the red head wearing a blue and white school uniform top, a long black haired boy with a black t-shirt over a gray long sleeved shirt, a girl with short black hair in a pink hoodie and white skirt, a boy covered in charcoal and on fire, a blond boy in a red and silver mechs suit, a bipedal frog in green and black robes with the green being in an hourglass design, a man in a white lab coat with goggles that have green lenses, and a man in black with a silver helmet.
The final picture was of the same guy but in the black t-shirt and a white and green watch, and a human looking being in a blue and black suit with a gun on his shoulder. "I see you've finally made it Izuku Midoriya," a voice called out behind the green haired teen.
Izuku turned around to see the man in a lab coat from the picture and asked, "Who are you? How do you know my name?"
"Ah, I see we haven't met yet. My name is Professor Paradox, and I know you because I am a time traveler."
"Wait, if you're a time traveler, does that mean those people in the picture are from the past?"
"Yes, and no. They are from my past, present, and future. However, they only exist in this universe as a, I believe you would call it a pre-quirk TV show and toys."
"Then how and why are you here?"
"I travel the entire space time continuum. As for the why, I wanted to make sure to give you a warning. What happened 210 years ago could happen again if you are not careful… Well that's all for now, until we meet again young Izuku. Oh, and feel free to take one of the jackets, the white one wasn't really used all too much." With that the professor pulled out a fob watch and disappeared in a bright blue light. Scratching the back of his head, Izuku looked at the two jackets and decided to take the white one, at least for now, and left the room to find the others. As he opened the door, the big suited man was there and said, "I'm glad you found your room, but next time, stay with the group to make sure you know where the facilities are." Behind him, the others giggled and snickered.
The next day, the group of 6 teenagers were in the training room with a young woman with navy blue and blond hair, wearing gloves that reach her elbows, and Eraser Head. "Today, we will be working on agility by doing movements similar to parkour," the underground hero told them, "Ms. Kurose Anan will be joining us as she is training to be a more active part of this organization."
"Uh, what organization, Mr. Aizawa?" Uraraka asked.
"An organization dedicated to plugging any leaks of supernatural or abnormal sightings. Including aliens."
"Aliens are real!?" the teens screamed.
"We're not 100% certain, but we want to be prepared if there are. Now, let's start with getting across this room." The hero pulled out a remote and pressed a button that changed the room. Flamethrowers came out of the wall, laser guns and flails came out of the columns, and the floor at the end retracted to reveal a pool that had floating platforms that lead to the otherside, making all the participants' jaws drop. "Whoever reaches the end last doesn't eat until dinner. Oh, and don't worry, the lasers are set to stun."
'That's not the part we're most worried about!' they all shouted in their minds as Aizawa left them. Izuku looked to try and find a way around this while the rest rushed to get through it. As they ran, they tried to pass through the middle of the fires and Asui passed out from the heat, getting Izuku's attention. He rushed forwards and picked her up onto his back, and struggled to catch up with the others. After the fire, Pony shot out four horns and used them to try and fly herself the rest of the way, and Uraraka tried floating with her quirk, only to be shot down by the lasers.
Shinsho, Toru, and Kurose ran and tried to dodge but were struggling. When Izuku made it past the fire he shouted, "Everybody stop!" Everyone turned to look at him and notice the passed out frog girl. "We aren't going to get anywhere working separately like this! We need to combine our strengths and make up for each other's weak points."
The others looked at eachother and Uraraka spoke up, "He's right, if he didn't notice Tsu in time, she might have died."
"She still might if we don't get her to the pool and fast," Kurose pointed out.
"How are we supposed to do that?" asked Shinsho.
"Getting up in the air to dodge the lasers seems to be our best bet," Toru added.
"No, Pony can destroy the lasers with her horns while we all run though, but I don't think any of us have the physical strength to carry Asui for the long distance," Izuku told them.
"I might be able to negate her gravity long enough to get her to the pool," Uraraka suggested.
"Alright, here's the plan…" Izuku told them the plan and they all lept into action. Uraraka negated Asui's gravity, while one of Pony's horns lifted her across and the rest flew into the lasers and destroyed them. The rest of the teens and Kurose ran across, picking up scrap pieces to throughout the rest of the lasers. However, when Asui was almost to the water, one of the lasers switched modes and destroyed the horn carrying her. Seeing this, Kurose's instincts kicked in and she folded back one of the fingers on her glove, sucking the laser into it. Izuku saw this and shouted, "That was Black Hole!"
"Isn't that Thirteen's quirk!?"
"Not the time! We need to get Asui to the water!" Shinsho shouted. The two snapped back to attention and rushed towards the downed frog girl, lifting her up and sending her into the water, refreshing her and cooling her down enough to where she could wake up and start to slowly swim to safety. Meanwhile the others jumped from platform to platform, with Izuku being last to make it across.
"Congratulations, you all figured out what the exercise was truly about. Now we can start the real training. Asui, you're excused. I'm sorry for my carelessness," the mystery person told them and apologized to the frog girl. The rest of the group groaned thinking about what the real training would be like.
Izuku was walking the halls after getting lost at night and came across a door with the hourglass symbol on it, 'It's that symbol again.' He thought about the connection it had with the brown haired green eyed boy in the pictures in his room, and wondered what exactly the symbol meant, when he suddenly heard voices around the corner. He panicked and quickly hid in the first room he saw opened, which was the maintenance closet. 'Wow Izuku, the maintenance closet. How original. What's next, you drag a girl in here and make out with them?' He peaked out the door to see Aizawa, Thirteen, All Might, a small old guy in a yellow and white hero costume, and the mystery man, standing right outside the door.
"I'm sure all of you have theories surrounding the creation of quirks. I'm about to show you my own personal theory," the mystery man turned to the keypad and typed in the word "AZMUTH" to open the door. When they all went in, Izuku snuck close to the opening and saw a room with a cylindrical beam of energy with a watch hovering inside of it, and computers lining the walls. "This is the Omnitrix, recreated from a pre-quirk cartoon. The most powerful device in the universe, a potential weapon of mass destruction, the beacon of understanding for beings across the universe, and what I believe to be the origin of quirks."
"You mean to tell me that this watch was the cause of all quirks?" All Might in his skinny form, "That seems kind of hard to believe."
"Yes and no. This watch isn't the one that created them, but I believe that humans once tried to recreate this device with no success 210 years ago."
Paradox's words echoed in Izuku's head as Aizawa asked, "What exactly does this device do?"
"It holds the DNA of every alien species in that show's universe. Though because we don't have real alien DNA to use, I and probably those idiots, had created fake DNA programmed based off of the aliens in the show."
"You mean we have alien DNA inside of us? That's so cool!" Thirteen exclaimed.
"If the foolish humans programmed it with what I think they did, they might have recreated omnipotent alien DNA."
"... Ok, less cool, more terrifying."
The short old man spoke up next, saying, "Why tell us this and recreate the Omnitrix? Are you trying to recreate the accident that happened?"
"No, I'm merely trying to understand the full capabilities of quirks and how to bring out the best of them. I recreated the Omnitrix to combat possible villains that my other invention could create."
"Other invention?" Aizawa asked.
"A device that can bring out the full abilities in the alien DNA. I've already used myself as a test subject."
"Who will use the Omnitrix? Not the big oaf I hope," the old man questioned.
"No, Gran Torino. The Omnitrix wouldn't accept him if he tried. It has to be used by a quirkless human, due to their DNA being the most malleable. Even a full alien wouldn't be able to use it due to the overlap of abilities and how to use them."
'Is that why I'm here!?' Izuku thought to himself.
"Is that why Midoriya is being trained with the others? To be the user of the Omnitrix?" Kurose asked.
"Originally that was the plan. However, he is far too much like the user Ben 10. Too reckless and immature for the role of the wielder of the Omnitrix," Izuku felt like he was just stabbed in the heart, hearing yet another person who didn't think he was worthy of something, "The only other quirkless person I can think of is David Shield's daughter."
"She wouldn't take it. She's happy being the woman in the chair," Skeleton Might told them, "And I don't think Young Midoriya is immature."
"Neither do I," Aizawa informed the mystery man.
"Nor me," Gran added.
"Same here. He helped save someone today because of your foolishness," Thirteen told him.
"She wouldn't have been if Midoriya or anyone else used their heads," the man replied coldly.
"I was one of the participants!"
"Exactly! You're supposed to be a hero and a teacher, yet neither you nor Eser stopped them!" Silence followed, the teachers all looking down with anger and guilt, and Izuku wanting to do nothing more than get this guy to shut up.
'They may be heroes but they're still human!" Izuku thought before realizing what he just thought, 'They're humans, just like us. I've always thought of All Might and other heroes as gods. True, it was subconscious and I wasn't really thinking about it, too focussed on their quirks and how many people they save, but still! How could I not realize something so simple?"
"... Let's all head back to our rooms and get some sleep. Those kids won't survive training unless we're most alert." Izuku backed away before running down the path he came from earlier. He kept running until he came to his room and slammed the door behind him. Looking around he found a box filled with DVD's near a DVD player in the wall. He made a mental note to look at those later, and went straight to his notebooks to write everything he learned into a brand new one and titled it, "Alien DNA Analysis for the Future Wielder."
"Professor Paradox? If you can hear me, I want a time bubble that will allow me to watch all these episodes in a shorter amount of time."
