This is the prequel to Heath and Sharon's story, and what happened the first time around. This is a short story but lays the groundwork for "Can't Help Falling in Love", which will follow.

For Black History Month

Jarrod Barkley agrees out of curiosity to represent his doppelganger, Gentleman Jack Darby. The events that precede will shake up their lives and their family in the Valley in ways they never dreamed. Richard Long once asked to include a little Jack Darby in his Jarrod Barkley. The director refused but I hope that RL is pleased with my attempt.

Jarrod finds out what mistakes he made when he prosecuted Keno Nash nine years ago and Keno was wrongfully sent to prison. When the old mistakes are followed by new tragedy, Jarrod and his brothers try to set everything straight.

Audra finds something Victoria has kept hidden for years.
