At the end of the show's season2, Hawkins Lab collapsed and Key, who had been locked in a glass jar for two years, used the chaos to escape. She follows Jonathan's caravan to Hawkins and joins the rest of the adventure. Dr. Owens refuses to make her secret public, and we don't know her name or what she can do.
