What if the end of season 8 had been different for Jack and Sam...? The story begins at the end of the last episode. This is the translation of my fanfiction "L'Héritier" into English

It was a beautiful morning in Colorado Springs, and Sam was heading to her shift at Cheyenne Mountain. She rode her Indian motorcycle with the cool breeze on her face, enjoying the scenery. But in an instant, everything changed.

An innocent-sounding mission turns into something straight out of an episode of SG-1, leaving our two of our favorite characters injured and cut off from the rest of their team- and any rescue effort. My first serious whump fiction!

This story is set at the end of season 2 beginning of season 3. "Confusion" and "Into the Fire" Sam's feelings after the mission being Hathor's prisoners.

Everything seems okay in the Carter-O'Neill household until a simple gesture in the shower shakes their lives, especially Sam and Jack. Who will face some hardship ahead when Sam receives an unexpected diagnostic by her doctor. 6/6
