The party was bustling, lots of important people having important talks, none of which made any sense to Amuro what with a new business or political jargon being used every other word. He'd gotten used to this sort of crowd, after the war he'd been to many of these earth federation parties. Captain Bright said it was important to keep to rich investors feeling apart of the operation and this was the best way to keep them 'included' Most of the time he just drifted through, shaking hands with some governor or lady every once and a while and finding a wall to stand against for the rest of the time. Sometimes he would get lucky and get to waste away with a friend or two, back in the day, either Kai, Hayato or Fraw Bow, this time however, was different. This time he found himself in the company of one "Quattro Bajeena", everyone seemed insistent on calling him that- thoughts of Zeon and the Red Comet still left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. This was their way of forgetting- Amuro just called him Char. He had noticed him as soon as he'd arrived, it was hard not to, he was tall, well built but somewhat slender, with a face like a greek god, blue eyes and a crown of golden locks. He was somewhat surprised to see Char here on earth, Bright was there with him, he had heard that Char had been doing more political appearances and speeches lately and less combat, that would explain his appearance here tonight. Amuro was brought over to Char's group immediately and introduced to some important someone's, he smiled and shook hands with them getting the usual reactions after they realized who he was, 'Amuro, the great war pilot!', he was over it at this point. He was more focused on Char's intense gaze, seeing him from the corner of his eye, Amuro pretended not to notice. Before he could say anything, Char was pulled away into another group, leaving Amuro to wander around. After a half an hour or so he decided that a drink certainly couldn't harm his current state of boredom as he headed over to the refreshments to find something to ease the pain. The party continued on Amuro drinking his way through. He was leaning on the raling of the balcony looking out across the sky, wishing he was anywhere but here when he heard a voice close to his ear, "I'm sorry we couldn't have talked earlier" Amuro turned to see Char, a light smile on his face. "Char, I hear the war is going good", Amuro responded, trying to make the conversation as small talk like as possible, he always felt strange talking to Char, whether it be because of their past or something else was beyond him. "Yes, well things have gotten a fair but more complicated lately." Char was holding two drinks, he handed one o Amuro. There was silence, "...Char..." Char looked at him through his blonde lashes, Amro had meant to keep things light but he felt the alcohol getting to him, and there was something he wanted to know. "This kind of thing... do you like it...?". "What- parties? Society?" Char scoffed "well, I'm good at it I guess, making people like me.". Amuro huffed "I think I know some people who would disagree with you". "Ah, but the thing is I wasn't trying to make those people like me" Char smiled, "What about you?". "Me? I hate this kind of stuff, it all seems so... artificial." Amuro responded. "ha, that's a good way of putting it" Char said taking another sip of his drink. "But you're a war hero, everyone loves the great Amuro, must make things a little easier.". "I suppose so, but then, it's like everyone already knows who I am, or who they want me to be, they don't actually look at me, it's frustrating." Amuro replied, he didn't know why he was saying all of this to Char, but the alcohol certainly wasn't helping. "Well you don't want to be friends with any of these peacocks anyways." Char smiled. They continued talking and drinking, jut the two of them, here on the balcony Char couldn't be whisked away by another group of pompous socialites. Amuro was drinking too much, he could tell, maybe in an attempt to feel more relaxed around Char, but he found himself tipping forward on the balcony railing. "woah there" Char pulled Amuro back, "I think.. I should get some water.." Amuro said. "I'll take you" Char said putting his arm around him and taking him back inside, hugging the sides until they reached the bathrooms. Amuro splashed his face with water and leaned on the sink. "I don't know why I drank so much... I can't really hold it" Amuro said feeling somewhtt awkward. Char had been leaning up against the wall watching him. Somehow the atmosphere felt different. "You and that girl...Beltorchika" Char said after a while. "...yes?" Amuro responded looking back up a him. "...Then you're together?" Char said, he sounded almost irritated. Amuro glanced away, "I..guess.." it's not like they'd really agreed to anything yet but Beltorchika had referred to him as her boyfriend mor ethana couple of times now, and Amuro had never said anything in protest. Suddenly Char charged towards Amuro, pushing him gainst the wall and putting his arm on the wall beside him, locking him. Amuro had thought that the alcohol wasn't affecting Char but up close- inches away from his own face, he could tell it was. His breathing was heavy and his brow furrowed, a frown across his face. "Char-" before he could speak Char crashed his lips into Amuro's. making his eyes go wide. "Wai-" Amuro tried to get out before Char was kissing him more, hesqueezed his eyes shut as he felt him push his tongue inside. Before Amuro knew it he was melting into the kiss. Char pulled back, both arms now on either side of Amuro's head, a string of saliva connecting their lips as he left. Amuro's eyes were hooded, his mouth still agape as he tried to catch his breath. "What's so good about her" Char asked irritation in his voice. "wha.." Amuro murmered, still reeling from the kiss. Char latched onto his neck, sucking and kissing as he loosend Amuo's tie and started undoing his top shirt buttons for more access. "She can't understand you, she never will, she's an oldtype, Amuro you're special, don't you get that?" Char continued his barrage on Amuro's neck and clavicle wrapping his arm around his waist and pulling him closer, it felt good. "not just because you're a newtype, Amuro, you're more than that, when you fight I can feel it" Char grabs Amuro's face and stares into his eyes "you're amazing, more than any war hero or gundam pilot, I want you." This pulled Amuro back to reality as he stared back into Char's piercing eyes. "...alright" Amuro responded. Char immediately pressed another kiss into his mouth then started undoing Amuro's pants and kneeling on the floor. Amuro knew this was wrong, even if he'd never confirmed it, he was still with Beltorchika, but in that moment he didn't care. It was as if no one in the world existed but him and Char and if he was this passionate about him, then who was Amuro to deny him a taste?
