Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about My Hero and X-Men. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I do not own MHA or X-Men, Marvel Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi, and a few others do.
The world was…. Odd, when the fracture hit. That was what the leading scientific minds called it when the sky suddenly split and the world was changed.
Did it change things? Well, it appeared plenty of people who might not have quirks had new powers… Known as the X-Gene. The X-Gene was something that also awakened powers just as quirks did… Only X-Genes were as random as the ability to have a quirk, nobody could control who got what because of it being a genetic part of them.
This led to plenty of people having…. Issues with X-Genes as there were with quirks. It had split people straight down the middle knowing that it was all too easy to cause division over such a thing.
The problem was also simple…. Very simple, such simplicity was to become harder and harder with it at the end of the day, knowing what it was and knowing how to properly fix it.
Well, two individuals had known how to fix it but their ideas…. Differed.
"You know how people are, Charles. They are scared, confused. They find something to lash out like animals." Charles stated.
"And your idea is to reign over them like cattle? These people are not monsters, Erik. They are people. They act scared because they ARE SCARED… Your blaming children essentially for being unwilling to leave their beds." Charles stated.
He would not dare mock Erik's past and reasons for his views. He knew them and knew why they existed, what he did for a reason. He just did not support it for a good reason. He supposed if there was a single reason not to wish for Erik to be right. It existed in the fact that if he was to be correct, their entire way of life.
Yes, it would be done at the end of time, at the end of their run. They had many different thoughts and one of them was preparing their groups for the most vapid and horrid parts of life when all was done. It was not funny and it was not good.
Still? Whatever small fragment of what he needed to convoy did not slip from his lips, he did not sound eager to attempt the talk once more.
Whatever did he do? It did not help and it did not hurt for now but he did wish to attempt to help his friend, to try and find something else to do and say for now.
He had been too silent, too eager to try and figure out a course of action that would be decided for now as he looked to the side.
Whatever did he do? It would not get through to the man, he was too unwilling to compromise, too unwilling to change at all when he thought of it.
There was something else to be done, something else which he could not do… For he did not have the strength to do so.
If he did? He would have made sure Eric could not take matters into his own hands… And damn if he could find the strength to do so…. For if he could? This blasted chaos would not be occurring.
"I am sorry, Charles. My mind is made up." Erik said before he turned and departed, knowing what could be done, could be uttered from their mouths if they had wished.
It was nothing compared to what he needed to do…. And it would be nothing compared to what he wished he said.
Charles sighed and then slowly pushed himself away from the table. If there was even a scant chance for him to redeem himself upon their friendship, it had died here.
'So am I, Erik. So am I.' Charles thought as he sighed and then looked downwards towards the ground.
He slowly wheeled himself away from their chessboard, knowing what was coming. He knew Erik and knew just how willing Erik was to help their people, he was not stupid and he knew that Erik was misguided.
However? In his way? He could not allow Erik to win because if he did, Erik would show no mercy to humanity or the allies Erik was sure to amass in this new world.

Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to point out next chapter will be longer. I am rebooting the Nejire story since I do not know how to continue the story as is. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words. It will also set up how Nejire facts in and such, Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
