Chiro didn't know how it started or when, but he fell for Nova.
The moment he knew he liked her more than simply a friend was when they were hanging out. It was one of those times where Nova would let her softer side show without any possible judgements, especially since she knew he wouldn't be like that. Something about that time though especially made his heart explode like a firework in the sky.
She was so badass and he wouldn't mess with her, he was really glad they were on the same side, but she was also really sweet and kind at the same time. It was a beautiful duality in his eyes. Nova might've been a monkey rather than a human, but Chiro loved her like that anyway. There were times he wanted to kiss her, but he ultimately held himself back. It was all he ever wanted to do if he had to be honest.
All he could do was watch her from afar, though. If they weren't hanging out, Chiro would simply watch her smile and laugh with the others. It was a beautiful look for her, but then again he could say that for when she was angry too. Her beautiful yellow fur that either turned brighter or darker depending on her emotions, her pink eyes, how soft she felt and even how she smelled, Chiro loved everything about her. Maybe it was because he was in love, but he completely got why Sprx loved her as well. She was a beautiful, calm flame that could become a fiery supernova.
Sprx had more of a chance to be with Nova than Chiro could ever. She wouldn't feel the same thing as he did. Chiro was a lot younger than her and it was likely she wasn't into that, not to mention she most likely saw him as a son or younger brother. Nova seemed like she had her heart set on Sprx as well if he wasn't reading everything incorrectly. He knew nothing would ever come of it, but he was okay with that. If they were still friends and could still hang out, then that was all he needed despite wanting so much more. He could just dream about it, even if it hurt a little.
Chiro got up and walked away with a smile on his face. He could sit there and watch Nova all day, but he didn't want anyone to ask about it. Besides, he needed to do something productive as well, so he couldn't be stuck in his fantasies even if he wanted to.
Little did he know, however, she felt the same way he did.
Nova didn't feel like Chiro would feel the same either.

I legit saved that convo path before deleting it and going the route I wanted? It was unexpected honestly and only now did I get to this.
