A wheezing sound filled the air, one that Sylvia never wanted to hear again. It made Wilf whoop for joy.

"What's that noise," Donna said.

"That's the sound of the Doc-" Wilf said, but was cut off by Sylvia.

"The neighbour's new car."

"I'm not an idiot mum, that's not the sound of a car. Where have I heard it before?"

"You haven't heard it before."

"No, I definitely have. What aren't you telling me?"

"Nothing," Sylvia said as she moved in front of the door.

"Why are you standing in front of the door?"

"Can I not stand here?"

Donna made a move to go through the door but Sylvia would not move.

"Mum, let me out the door!" Donna shouted as she tried to move past her mother.

Sylvia moved into her path, "I can't let you do that! It's for your own good!"

"I think I know what's for my own good, thanks. Now move!"

"No Donna, you really don't." In reality, Donna didn't know. Only Sylvia knew what would happen if her daughter saw the Doctor again. Her mind would burn. She would lose her only daughter.

Donna stared her mother down, "Get out of my way, I won't tell you again."

The pair stared at each other, both too stubborn for their own good.

"Sylvia just let her go," Wilf said from his wheelchair, "She's not a little girl any more."

"She's still my little girl."

"And you're talking about this little girl like she isn't in the room," Donna said, waving her hands about.

"Donna," Sylvia said, tears starting to form, "You know that I will always love you," Then she stepped aside from the door, "Remember that."

Donna was angry, she was confused at her mothers statement. But she knew that the man her mother was keeping her from had answers. Answers as to why she was missing a year of her life (it wasn't a coma like her mother had said) and why she had been having impossible visions of other planets.

She ran through the door chasing after the man that had the answers.

"That's my girl," Wilf said as Donna was leaving, "Go find the Doctor."

"Do encourage her!" Sylvia shouted at Wilf.

"Why not?"

"Just seeing him could kill her!"

"You don't think any of the adventures they have been on could have killed her? When she was with the Doctor she was the happiest we've seen her!"

Sylvia opened her mouth to retort.

"Don't lie to yourself, Sylvia, you know it's true. We can't stop her, and you know it," Wilf sighed, "I don't want her to die, lord knows I don't want her to die. But I also want her to be happy."

Sylvia turned to look at her dad. Wilf continued; "She got to see the stars with the Doc, she saved people and did wonderful things. Things she can't even remember. And she lost all of those memories, sweetheart. Donna hasn't been herself since she forgot the Doctor and I want her back."

Wilf was crying now, he couldn't stop it. He wanted his granddaughter to be happy.

Sylvia turned away from her father and wiped away a silent tear, all she could do was pray that her daughter would come back alive.
