Part 3
Carlisle pov
Alice and I rushed over. She was freaking out a little, well a lot. I knew she cares for this girl's wellbeing but I didn't know she cared about her this month.
As we walked into the house. There was a lot of blood. It looked like a murder scene. Her father, Charlie was passed out on the floor. Drunk. Bella, oh Bella. Just from looking at her I can tell she broke at least three ribs, her collar bone, a wrist and so much more. This kid didn't deserve this life.
"Can you help me get her to tho hospital"
"Yes, she's not going to make it through is she"
"probably not but you knew that"
30 minutes later
Bella is laying in the hospital like office in our house with so many wires and stuff. She's stable but I'd be surprised if she lives through the night. Her father was finally arrested and we were told we can have a three week trial period with her until we can adopt her. I know Alice said one of the futures was Esme and I getting custody of her but I didn't think it happened like this.
"Is she going to wake up " Alice asked
"It is possible but I don't see her being alive this time tomorrow. If she is we did get a three week foster period before we can adopt her"
"So you only get that once she's beaten to death"
"Yeah I guess so"
"Are you going to do it" Alice asked
"You really care about her a lot don't you"
"She's like a sister to me already" she said cheerfully
"I would prefer if she woke up and agreed to it. With how much you care about her if her life starts to fade I'll do it. Is that good for you"
She nodded
"can you stay with her"
An hour later
Alice pov
Her eyes fluttered open. She's awake. I knew she'd wake up.
"You saved me again. Why do you care so much" she asked
"You are like a sister to me Bella"
"We got the right to foster you for 3 weeks, before we can adopt you" I was so cheerful when I said it
"You really will do that for me" she asked
"Of course, all of use see you as family already"
Carlisle pov
I walked back into the room after hearing she was awake. Alice looked so cheerful that she's awake. They both look cheerful, they really look like sisters. I'm hoping she's not angry at what I'm about to tell her.
"Hey you are awake" she smiled at me when I said that
"yeah"
"what happened"
" I learned the lesson of not taking away a drunk man's beer"
"There is something we have to talk about, this isn't as cheerful as being able to come home with us"
"You are kind of scaring me"
"You are very important to Alice and the rest of the family. With your injuries..."
"You probably won't live to tomorrow, if you are lucky you may have a couple days"
Her eyes looked so fearful and scared when I said that.
"I can prevent that if you choose so. You don't have to make a decision now. I'll be back in a little bit"
Bella's pov
After he left I was even more confused than when he walked in. So I'm not going to live to tomorrow but he can stop that if I choose? What does that even mean?
"Are you okay" Alice asked
"I don't really know what he meant. Maybe my injuries are so so bad where I'm not processing everything"
"You know what we are right? Or did you forget?"
"Yeah I remember.." As the words left my mouth it clicked
"Oh"
I don't know what to think. I know the only people who ever stuck up for me are vampires. They can't be as bad as horror movies make them out it be. I don't really know much though. All I saw was Alice bend a bat. Nothing more, nothing less. I know if I go through with this neither of my parents can ever hurt me again though.
"You look like you are in deep thoughts" Alice suddenly said
"How is it even done"
"He just has to bite you injecting a little venom into your bloodstream"
"Does it hurt"
"Yes a lot. It'll last for a few days but after that you'll never feel pain again"
"A few days"
"It'll be over before you know it. I won't leave your side the entire time. I promise. But please I'm begging you not to choose death over this"
After she said that is when I realized how much she cared about me. I know she said she saw me as a sister but I didn't believe it until that moment.
"I won't" is all I managed to spit out. The world started to spin and I heard the machines next to me beep"
Alice pov
She agrees then starts to die. I guess it's good she spit it out the moment she did.
"Carlisle" I yelled
"I'm here, I'm here"
"She agreed the moment before the beeping started"
Carlisle pov
"Okay Bella this is going to hurt quite a bit. Alice and I will be by your side and all the others are here to" is all I said. I'm not even sure if she heard me over all the beeping
I leaned down next to her, put her hair all to one side, and then finally bit her injecting her with venom. Her body reacted immediately. Now it's just a waiting game.
